God Killer

God Killer is the "Final" story achievement in the game, and must be completed if you wish to unlock the secret character to unlock the "Altar of the Goddess" Achievement.

Since this is the most obscure achievement, here will be a summary of what you must do to unlock this achievement as well as complete all prerequisites to unlock the secret character.

EDIT: But there is now a cheat code that makes the game infinitely more easier - taken from the forum:

" How it works on PlayStation:
- Start a run and pick a character.

- After this, pause the game with the touch pad/start or select.

- On the d-pad, input the following: left, left, down, right, right, up, triangle. My note: Triangle = Y on an Xbox controller.



You will now be given 9999 HP and deal 999 damage with each hit. You will also be given 3 gold keys immediately.

"I'd like to add, after entering this code, in any non boss level you can press L2 (PS4/PS5) or touch the screen (Vita) to warp directly to the end of the level." L2 = LT on Xbox."

The rest of my solution is below.


Playthrough 1 - Collect Xenon Prototype 1 + AI mothership - Nue ending

You must first complete Nue's secret stage "Ivory Tundra". To access this area you must pay cells to the "HEHEHEHEHEE" Guy inbetween levels and after boss fights. Cells is the currency obtained during gameplay, represented by gold.

The initial cost starts at 25 cells, and then increases by increments of 25 until 100 cells, before it jumps to 200 cells. If you pay the required cells at each instance between stages and bosses, after the second boss you will be in an area with the "HEHEHEHE" guy (He's red).

Talk to him and he'll offer to take you to the Ivory Tundra, agree and complete the world. After the boss fight you will obtain the Xenon Prototype 1 which is a prerequisite to this achievement. It's also worth to mention that after the Ivory Tundra boss fight, in the area where you collect the Xenon prototype 1, if you climb up the wall to the right, you can access a hidden area leading you to fight the mothership AI for the "AI Off" achievement. Proceeding to complete the game will unlock the "The Hero" achievement

Playthrough 2 - Collect Xenon Prototype 2 - Renna Ending

You must repeat the exact same steps as above (Paying the red guy cells at every instance between stages and bosses), and instead of offering you to go to the Ivory Tundra after world 2, he will offer to take Renna to the Phoenix wastes.

Again this is simple, complete Renna's Hidden stage to then unlock the Xenon Prototype 2. Completing the game will then unlock Renna's ending giving the "Never Escape" achievement.

Playthrough 3 - Eloen Ending

Whilst completing the prior 2 character's stories unlocks access to the Xenon Valkyrie, it is best to first complete Eloen's ending without it, this will unlock the "Cocoon Block" achievement. This achievement only unlocks when you complete the game as Eloen without the Xenon Valkyrie.

Playthrough 4 - Eloen Ending - True Ending (Eloen Only)

The fourth playthrough now requires you to buy the Xenon Valkyrie from the store. In the store you can pay to unlock items to obtain during the game. On the right hand side of the shop room, there's an old lady, once you've collected both Xenon prototypes you can buy the Xenon Valkyrie from her for 1 Temerite. If you haven't collected them and you speak to her, she will just say "....".

Buying the Xenon Valkyrie will unlock the "Gold Weapon" achievement. You must now progress through the game, and defeat the true final boss Deftos. After beating the last boss, the game will continue due to having the Xenon Valkyrie in the inventory. You will then be prompted to fight Deftos.

The final Boss battle is a Horizontal styled Bullet hell shoot em up. You will die in one hit and must kill Deftos whilst avoiding bullets. It takes around 1 minute to kill him.

You can watch a video of the fight here, I suggest you get familiar with the patterns and phases (albeit small changes) to prepare yourself, as dying will send you back to the title screen/main hub causing you to need to start back from the beginning of the game.


Beating Deftos will unlock the "God Killer" achievement.

Playthrough 5 - Blackstorm Lab - Eloen Recommended

The 5th and final full playthrough (Not sure if you need to actually do a full playthrough, but I would just in case). Is to access and complete the Blackstorm lab, which is the final hidden area and is required to unlock the secret character.

The Blackstorm Lab is located after World 1, when you defeat the boss and get transported to the hub, you will see a black monolith with 1s and 0s on it. These numbers repesent a direction to input. 1 being Up, and 0 being down.

The full inputs are below:
"UDDUDU UUDUUUD DDDUD"

Key: U = Up, D = Down (Left analog stick only)

Input the above commands fairly quickly whilst being right in front of the black monolith, and you will be transported into the black storm lab. Complete this area to obtain a pendant to unlock the hidden character and unlock the "Lab Block" achievement. There is also a 3 Key chest located in this lobby to this area (Only appears after you complete the game once), opening it will give you a S-tier weapon giving you the "Secret weapon" achievement (although this will most likely be obtained on playthrough 2-4 just before the final boss there is also a 3 key chest).

EDIT; More tips for blackstorm Lab:

The boss shoots a lot of balls which bounce around the room, to avoid this attack, simply climb on the walls, the rest of it is pretty easy.

Teleporter Puzzle in Blackstorm lab As I said in the comments below:

"The blackstorm lab teleporters all work the same way, below each teleporter there is an inscription. When you complete the first area of the blackstorm lab, there are 2 teleporters, one on the left, and one on the right. The one on the right takes you to the next area.

The trick is to remember the inscription below the teleporter on the right, because in later areas, the correct teleporter always has that exact same inscription.

So essentially:

- Complete blackstorm lab area 1
- Look at the inscription on the right teleporter and memorise it
- Continue with the blackstorm lab, and whenever you get to a teleporter room, look at the inscriptions and choose the exact same one as the one in the first teleporter room."



Finish off the playthrough and then the hidden character can be selected from the main hub (Gadriel)

Altar of the Goddess - Gadriel Only

Select Gadriel from the main lobby and proceed to the first world, to level him up, there are goddess statues littered around the stages. Find one, and then press "Up" in front of it to unlock the "Altar of the Goddess" achievement



Tips (Tips made redundant due to the above cheat code but it will leave it in for the sake of history or for those who wants to do it "legit")

- Always Max defence first

- Aim to be around level 9-10 after the first world

- If you have completed the game, you can use the Blackstorm Lab S-tier weapon trick for the True Ending, To do this, collect 3 keys in the first 2 stages of world 1. Either by collecting them from boss enemies or buying them from the shop, I recommend Eloen for the Blackstorm lab playthrough since she starts with a Key, allowing you to pick up one guaranteed key from the first 2 stages giving you the max 3 keys. Enter the Blackstorm Lab using the inputs above, open the S-tier chest to get a powerful weapon, and then complete the first stage of the lab, then exit the area (Left teleporter) to resume from world 2, this gives you an overpowered weapon allowing you to blast through the game to get to the True final boss Deftos if you keep dying. This trick can also be used on the other characters (to get their endings), but you must get 3 keys, which can be hard and RNG dependent.

- Use Eloen For Blackstorm Lab, As stated, Eloen starts with a spare key, allowing her to easily get an S-tier weapon for the Blackstorm Lab, she also has infinite Dynamite, allowing you to break walls to navigate if you get caught in a tight corridor. The Blackstorm lab is a very hard area to complete, even with an S-tier weapon. Eloen allows you to worm your way around the enemies using dynamite, as well as allow you to easily get the 3 keys required for the S-tier weapon.

- if you are about to die after paying 1 temerite for the Xenon Valkyrie, you can quit to main menu, and you will get your Temerite back (although you're more than likely to get more Temerite on your playthrough anyway, but it's something to keep in mind).

- If using the Blackstorm S-Tier weapon trick, don't spend talent points on STR, it's a waste. With that said, if you haven't got any good weapons and you're at the final boss, if you have 3 keys you can simply get an S-tier weapon prior to the final boss fight.
