How to unlock the The Dragon of Pocket Circuit achievement in Yakuza 0 - Definitive Guide

A pretty easy one actually, I haven't actually finished it yet but have maybe around 500m - 1 billion yen before you start as the prices can get pretty hefty. Once you have this much money go to Shichifuku Street West, directly a little north of Mach Bowl the bowling alley. Here you will find a lady talking about pocket racing, interact with her (I believe) then go inside the stadium. Here pocket circuit fighter will introduce you to the basic concepts of pocket circuit racing. Once you have finished it you can talk to pocket circuit fighter and beat the 7 races he has to offer (as you win more races, more will unlock.) Start off with the introductory race and work your way up.

If anyone has troubles of what parts they need for each race here is a list.

The Godspeed Mark 2 motor was way too fast for me for the final race so went for Godspeed Motor. Other than that this all worked perfectly. Thanks.

For the final race, a better set up (or at least one that worked for me) is:
King of Speed Cup

Cool Striker
Ultra Slim Tires
Ultra Metal frame
Godspeed Motor
Extra Godspeed Gears
High Capacity Battery
Heavy Suspension
Bumper Plate

Excellent guide.

Great guide. Only thing I'd add is that High Torque Motor 2.0 is available from Kamuro Dealer after Substory #8 as well. I was stuck and had completely forgotten about him.

Frozen trophy. I'll try in order. Up to 38 substory and races up to Experts Race, there shouldn't be any difficulties. Experiment with Level 1 and Level 2 settings. Further and more, my settings for victory (not always the first time). There are some nuances here. The last three races were completed without boosta (acceleration). You can use it, but turn it on only after the springboards, and don’t hammer it often When turning, just park the car level and it will go by itself. If without boosta, always keep the analogue on acceleration, remember the turn at which you most often do not enter the turn and release the speed before it.
Briefly about spare parts: almost everything can be bought there. Some rare ones drop out in Dream Machine machines for 1,000,000 yen (if they are in the store, they cost from 5,000,000 to 100,000,000(!) yen.) Cases and some parts are given as a gift after finishing some substory related to racing.
My settings in order (level of detail in parentheses):

1) From 38 to 41 substory and Experts Race:
Devil Killer Corps
Tires - Extra Spiked Tires (3)
Frame - Extra Balanced Frame (3)
Motor - Hight Torque Motor 2.0 (5)
Gears - Godspeed Gears (3)
Batteries - High Speed Battery (5)

2) 41 substory and Champions Cup:
Devil Killer Corps
Tires - Super Spiked Tires (4)
Frame - Super Balanced Frame (4)
Motor - Hight Torque Motor 2.0 (5)
Gears - Godspeed Gears (3)
Batteries - High Speed Battery (5)
Suspension - Medium Suspension (4)

3) 42 substory and King of Speed Cup final race:
Cool Striker body (given for winning 41 substory)
Tires - Ultra Slim Tires (5)
Frame - Ultra Metal Frame (5)
Motor - Godspeed Motor 2.0 (6) was not seen in the store, received with a trophy from Dream Machine.
Gears - Godspeed Gears (3)
Batteries - Hight Capacity Battery (5)
Suspension - Heavy Suspension (5) is given for winning 41 substory.

4) 43 substory, The finale of this crappy racing substory. There are 4 laps here, Boost after the 3rd.
Tires - Ultra Slim Tires (5)
Frame - Ultra Metal Frame (5)
Motor - Hight Torque Motor 2.0 (5)
Gears - Ultra Boost Gears (7)
Batteries - High Speed Battery (5)
Suspension - Heavy Suspension (5)

I don't need likes, if I helped anyone, just enjoy the game...it's worth it. Otherwise you wouldn't be here, brothers.

In the final race of the King of Speed Cup, with the configuration described, my car constantly left the track. But by replacing godspeed gears with godspeed gears plus we still managed to reach the finish line.

Additional examples of optimal machine settings can be found here - https://www.khhsubs.com/rggzero/pocketcircuit.html I will add that for this trophy it is not necessary to complete the races in substories, it is enough to complete all the races in the tournament itself.

I advise you to test the assembled car on the desired track before the actual race (the second point is a test drive). In this way, you can configure the car so that you can complete the race even without looking at the screen even once.
