How to unlock the Business Etiquette 101 achievement in Yakuza 0 - Definitive Guide

This is a missable achievement during chapter 5.

This is a guide from psnprofiles that I used when I played through the PS4 version.

During Chapter 5, you'll need to meet Oda at Cafe Alps in order to continue the story. It's recommended to save just before in case you mess this up. When you enter the Cafe, you'll be told to take a seat wherever you like. Go over to the "Table near the Back" (it has four chairs) and interact with it, then choose "Take the Nearest Seat". The server will ask if you're ready to order, but make sure you pick "Nothing" from the selection. Later on, Yamanoi will enter the Cafe, and when Oda introduces Kiryu to him, you'll need to pass a QTE, so make sure you're not caught off guard. You will receive the achievement once the conversation has ended.

Achievements have been bugged for some people. I've already sent an email about these issues to Sega support. So far all they've said is that it has been forwarded to the appropriate teams.

So far this is the only thing we think why this could be happening.

From TA user Storm Yorha: "Xbox One X here. So I started a new game and made sure the console did not turn off while the game was running, achievements popped perfectly. Seems like a save bug happens when the console turns off while the game is running.

If console turns off, I suggest reverting back to a previous save as saving over the slot causes the bug to carry over."

Thanks for the response I have done a lot of challenges for cp so I just hope they don't bug the 100 percent or that's 35 hours wasted.

So far someone on Xbox has the achievement for it so at least it isn't bugged for everyone. I just need to do a lot of mini-games. The only one I'm not looking forward to is mahjong

Loading multiple early saves from the start of chapter 5 did not resolve the problem. However, loading a save at the end of chapter 4 did. It may have something to do with putting my Xbox into instant on mode then turning it off and on as it is usually on Eco. I would recommend not using that power mode, keeping multiple saves on different chapters and fully exiting the game before shutting console off.

Yeah multiple people on this thread have been saying that anyone else having achievements not unlocking?

I've forwarded all this information to sega hopefully this can be fixed sometime soon now that we know what the cause is.

I had the bug but a hard reset and using save from just before entering restaurant worked for me. I did not have to go back to a previous chapter. I started this chapter after my xbox went to sleep so suspect that is the issue. I did have achievements pop in previous chapters after xbox went to sleep but would agree when finished it would be safest to save and exit the game.

Mine DIDNT work when I completed it after resuming from sleep....however it DID work relatively easily after that.

I quit the game and loaded another one to make sure it was flushed from memory.

I relaunched the game and a save from the start of chapter 5. I played through the chapter to just before entering the shop and saved again. When I went through the motions in the shop the achievement popped right away.

When Oda was like "you gave your business card upside-down" I freaked out that I did something wrong. Hehe, supposed to happen, but still. There was a lot of dialog before this to have to start over. Don't scare me like that game :(

This trophy is missable.

In chapter 5 you meet up with Oda in a restaurant. Save before you go. Pick the back table, sit in the closest seat, get nothing to drink, and pass the QTE. After the meeting concludes, you should get the trophy if you did everything right.

Yeah, what GaTechGrad said. You pick the table "at the Back", Oda will call you a dumbass because it's a two-seater. Still great guide, one restart wont hurt anything. Thank you TheBig-BB

To pop this one, you need to make certain selections over the course of the meeting at Café Alps with Oda during Chapter 5.

For starters, you’ll need to select the table near the back. Oda will mention that it’s the perfect place to talk business. Next, you’ll want to take the nearest seat. Oda is impressed with you placing yourself at the foot of the table and remarks to keep applying your experience as a lower-level yakuza to the client. The waiter will show up a moment later, and you should tell him you want nothing. Again, Oda is impressed and remarks something about “smacking the rude out of you” if you’d chosen to order before the arrival of your client.

Your client will enter. Be prepared for a quick time event. If you pull it off, Kiryu will (clumsily) present his business card to the client. The speed with which you press the correct button will determine how clumsy Kiryu is with the card. Oda makes an observation about the importance of business cards, and the client reassures you. Finish your conversation with the client, and the achievement is yours.
