How to unlock the Pro Gamer achievement in Yakuza 3 Remastered - Definitive Guide

Go to Club Sega in Theatre Square or Nakamichi Street (They are identical inside).

Winning 5 Soft toys in the grab machine is fairly straight forward but may take a little time and a few goes.

The high score in the shooting game refers to Boxcelios.
The description should read get the highest score, ie over 1M points.
The game is fairly easy to play but tricky to master. Aim for the glowing area as much as you can and get the ships down as quickly as possible to get the most points.
It will take a little while to get used to (took me about an hour), it's one of the frustrating ones where you get close loads of times and then my winning turn was 1.5M.

The biggest tip I can give is keep that timer as high as possible for as long as possible.

Wow. I wasn't even going to go for this achievement. My first game I only got 650k. After reading the section in CyricZ's guide on gamefaqs, my second try I hit about 900k, and third try I did 3.5 million (level 86).

The guide I mentioned above was really helpful. In particular: try to immediately fly directly over the glowing spot and shoot before it gets a chance to fly around. You can clear many stages instantly this way. The game is treated as 2D, even though it looks 3D. So if you fly to the front of the enemy (or past it), start firing, then let the glowing spot fly forward through you, you should instantly hit it and move on to the next stage.
You can see this in action in this YouTube video. Practice this a few times and see if you can get closer to the 1 mil. Good luck!

And on another note, you don't need to reach a certain level in Boxcelios in regards to the overall Completion % for the whole game. (My best right now is level 43. 50 gets you the completion contribution). All that matters is overall score. Saying this as one who did the Boxcelios game first, then did the UFO Catcher where the achievement unlocked after getting the fifth toy.

Also, for the UFO Catcher part, they don't need to be 5 different stuffed animals. Duplicates count.

The game doesn't make this terribly obvious, but a "high score in a shooting game" means reaching level 37 in Boxcelios, an arcade game found in SEGA Nakamichi Street.

The key to beating Boxelios is to hit the glowing spots on your opponents.
To begin with, the time is limited to 30 seconds per game, but it does not start immediately and the player is given a head start of a couple of seconds each round. So, this is the head start you have to meet, killing enemies as they approach.
And the easiest way to do this is to fly straight into the luminous point and shoot from there. It’s impossible to damage your ship, but you won’t have to fight your way through the enemy’s long tails. If he dodges, then stop shooting and catch up. While firing, your ship loses speed and maneuverability.
Thus, I reached level 77 and there I simply gave up because I was tired of it. To complete you need to get to the 50th, to get the trophy - to the 38th.
