How to unlock the Boiled Turkey achievement in Yakuza 4 Remastered - Definitive Guide

I got the achievement by going one dot over to the right and making my throw as straight forward as possible (no spin). If you throw at an angle, add spin to correct it. Three strikes in a row for the turkey-flavored achievement.

This is the video I used:

Is anyone aware of how reliable the bowling physics are in 4? Yakuza 3's pin dynamics were so terrible and RNG-dependent that after hours of trying and failing, I gave up on perfecting that game.

Yeah, no, this ain't happening. I followed it exactly, unlike in 0 there is no way to make sure you get anywhere near the same shot 3 times in a row, and sometimes it just randomly decides that, even though you did manage the same shot as last time, this time its Not a strike. Good luck.

What seems to be a (mostly) foolproof strategy is this: move all the way to left, past the last dot. Very quickly double tap A to set your shot. Set your power to 90 or higher. The YT comment said 90-98, but I got 100 to work as well. Put one full pink bar of spin to the left. This got me strikes 80% of the time or more.

+1 on Trombonafide's method. Got it by the 7th frame of my first game. Almost had it by frame 4 but my double tap was off and 1 pin refused to fall

+1 for Trombonafide's method. Ended up bowling a perfect 10 frame game with that method on my first go. Thanks a million!

Trombonafide has the secret down. Got it first try with these tips.

This was money. I kept missing and had to correct for it but when I hit your mark I knew it was instant success

This is way easier than in 3. Got it 1st game this time after wrestling with 3 for an hour. Seems like they were on their way to 0's bowling.

Yeah, getting 200+ in 3 took a fair bit of effort to get, but here I ended up getting it on my very first game by complete accident, with a higher score of 237 (and 2 Turkeys) to boot.

Agreed, Trombonafide‘s method is the way to do this. I don’t think I experienced quite an 80% strike rate, but stick with it, because it is very consistent. I did find it much more consistent between a power of 93 to 98. The variability is really in the angle you get, as higher powers works well when you get a narrower angle since the ball travels less of a total distance laterally for a given spin. Took me about 15 minutes of grinding it out.

Move the cursor as far left as possible, mash cn_X twice as fast as you can, pick 90-100 speed, add 1 notch left of spin. You will get a strike most of the time. Just keep trying till you get three in a row by playing a 10 frame game.

You need to make three strikes in a row. In half an hour you can get used to the rules of ball movement, but what personally helped me was a golden bowling ball, which is given as a reward for +/- successful play. Made 7 strikes in a row with him. The main thing is to take it as a weapon in the slot.
