How to unlock the Live to Fight Another Day achievement in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life - Definitive Guide
Running away only counts when you initiate the battle. If enemies are just chasing you and you escape it won't count. Start a fight with any thugs on the street then run away until you lose them. Do this 10 times and the trophy is yours.

Was a bit unsure because it happens that I run from fights when I don't feel like dealing with them in my soon to be complete odyssey through Kiryu's entire story from beginning to end.
However I guess I have to purposely stop to initiate fights I want to skip, at least until this trophy pops.

First, you must instigate a fight. I did this by pressing to enter camera mode and walking into the thugs. Then run away. You can use alleyways, or stairs to lose them, or even reach a destination for the story. Once I went through the lower level of Millennium Tower and jumped over a wall to lose them. Do this 10 times to get the achievement.

It took me a while to realise that the encounter doesn't properly start until the name of the enemy appears on screen ('Triads', 'Thugs', 'Yakuza' etc.). Then 'Defend yourself' appears top right.
You'll have escaped once you 'Failed' appears in the top right of the screen,
Initially I was running as soon as the bad guys started chasing me, and this doesn't count.

Another thing that might help. Early on in the game, I was buying Posideon Power drinks out of the Vending Machine to get pretty much infinite sprint even without the skills/upgrades for Sprinting. It seriously will reduce the longevity in the escapes.

Easiest non-annoying way:
- Find some enemies, initiate the battle and lure them somewhere with a narrow passage like the ones on Hana-no-kubo street with the safe in Onomichi
- Go through the narrow passage and it will instantly fail the battle
- Rinse and repeat: get out the passage, initiate the battle, go in again

I accidently stumbled across a potentially easier way to do this which saves you having to actually run away.
At the start of chapter 7 the furthest alleyway in the south east of Kamurocho gets blocked off. I got into a fight there and rolled into the police and instantly "failed the fight", i then instantly got back in the fight by running into the thugs and then ran into the police again to fail. I repeated this 10 times, took a minute at most.
This could potentially work for any street that is blocked off by police at any point in the game, that would have to be tested.

I tried to run away from fights when enemies noticed you - there was no trophy. He started to run away from the fights that started and fell out. So most likely what is meant is the fight that started.
