How to unlock the Story of My Life achievement in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life - Definitive Guide

I used this great guide to complete all substories.
https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2018/04/17/yakuza-6-sub...

The once I missed during normal gameplay, I finished during the Final mission at "Last night in Kamurocho"

Number 52 = Complete Substory Awards (Recived when all others are finished along with the cheevo)

For those struggling with Darts Mini game and the meter going to fast:
To turn off the FPS Boost,
"Scroll down and tap “Manage game and add-ons” menu; In the Manage game screen, scroll down and open the “Compatibility options” menu; Toggle FPS Boost and/or Auto HDR on and off; Restart your game for the changes to take effect."
Thnx to RedRibbon Vinny for this tip

Beyond garbage i can't beat hard darts opponent to save my life its like they can't miss a shot it look like I'm not getting the completion due to something that has nothing to do with what the game is about

This should be its own solution. I'd given up on this achievement because I was just failing so miserably at the darts, but turning FPS boost off has helped so much

I've played the PS4 and PC version prior to this version and yeah, the darts were never this hard. The reticle is at like double the speed, probably because this is technically an Xbox One game originally running at 30fps artificially upscaled by whoever does the FPS Boost; probably not the original developers. The whole game felt slightly off in FPS Boost; felt like enemies were doing more damage to me and the sprint especially felt a bit finicky. Still perfectly playable as it's not a very difficult game to begin with but it definitely wasn't upscaled well. The PC version being fine despite going up to 120fps is probably because that was properly optimised by the original devs.

I wish I'd known about turning off the fps boost 5 games ago.

I also was having issues with the Darts mini game. To the point where I watched a video. Noticed their meter wasn't as fast. If you are playing the game with FPS Boost on try disabling it and try your luck again.

You've probably gotten used to having some kind of "substory finder" in previous Yakuza games. Yakuza 6 has no such thing, and many of the substories in the game have no visible indication on the map.

Here are a few that are easily missed:

Chapter 1:
- There are five substories, one for each hostess at Club Shine. You must reach Diamond rank with each girl, after which a substory will start. For fun, start all five of these substories, then complete them at the same time, so you can marvel at how Kiryu can still reel 'em in at his old age in precisely the same fashion. What a guy.

Chapter 4:
- There are six substories related to baseball. You will have to go a long ways into the baseball minigame to get all of these.
- There are three substories related to spearfishing. The first substory is triggered by going to the end of the docks during the daytime and looking at fish piled up on the dock.

Chapter 5:
There are six substories at Snack New Gaudi, one for each patron. You have to complete them in order. The sixth story can be difficult to trigger. After completing the fifth story, there should be a girl standing outside Yonetoku (the restaurant), handing out stationery. People have found that she doesn't always appear and the precise trigger is unknown, though it is most likely that you need to go to the bar during the day time, then walk immediately to Yonetoku.

Chapter 6:
- Complete three Home Run Courses at the Batting Center
- Complete three Challenge Run Courses at the Batting Center
- At night, go to the north end of Theater Ave, walk across Nakamichi Street, and stand in front of a place called "Beauty Relax Salon"
- Play Easy darts at Bantam
- ... then play Medium and Hard darts at SEGA Theater Square, then go back to Bantam

Chapter 7:
- Walk down Suppon Street. I wouldn't mention this, but this street has no purpose in Yakuza 6, so you could very well miss this one because nothing else in the game takes you down that path.
