How to unlock the Fight on the Sidewalk! achievement in Yakuza: Like a Dragon - Definitive Guide

You'll most likely get this one by accident but if you want to try for it, walk around until you see a group of enemies near a road with cars. Start a battle with them and and try to use attacks that knock them backwards. Unfortunately you can't move during battle to line up your shot but keep trying and with some luck you'll have an enemy get hit by a car.

Unconfirmed if it counts when you or your party get hit but I'm guessing it would

I got mine last night, and the foe I knocked into traffic was defeated by my hit, so he must have been run over after; maybe it counts as long as they haven't vanished. Though I couldn't see if there was one hit from out of view, so I cannot guarantee that a defeated foe counts.

What's a good intersection to get this on? I've tried for several hours on W. Sturukame Highway and can't find the right angle.

Edit: Figures, the very next battle I'm in after posting, I would get this achievement.

can confirm - party members count for this.

i had the opposite happen. i knocked an enemy back, he wasnt dead, then a car ran him over and he died. i did not get the achievement. A different fight later on, an enemy knocked Koichi into the road, car killed him, and the achievement popped a few seconds later

I got this during a story fight in Chapter 14, a car hit an enemy twice.

Can confirm Tenko's comment that the enemy was already knocked out, then the car started driving and ran over him. It can be frustrating because the cars don't move when you're standing in front of them.

Also wanted to add the location I used. On the intersection at E. Tsurukame Highway and N Isezaki Road there is a large crosswalk and a group of enemies that actually crosses the road. I was having trouble finding a place where there were cars from both directions and where the enemies actually got close to the road. Usually they are just walking up and down a street and only cross the small side streets, never the streets with traffic on them. This spot seems pretty reliable, I sat and watched for a while and the group comes from the North on N Isezaki Road and then across E. Tsurukame Highway.

This one is more difficult than it should be. I tried for it multiple times early in the game, then eventually got it during a required story battle right outside the entrance of a building. Basically, you want to start a battle near a busy street, but make sure none of your characters are in the street when the battle starts or all the cars will automatically stop. Once the battle starts, use any skill that will send enemies backward (such as Kasuga's bat swings) and hope that they end up in the street and a car continues to drive straight into them. You can even get the achievement if the enemy is defeated already and the car hits the despawning body. It will also unlock if one of your party members is knocked into the street and hit. You should get this eventually by luck, but if not keep fighting enemies near Tsurukame Highway.

You will likely earn this naturally. Enemies roam all around town and can possibly engage you near a street with driving cars. For this trophy, someone just has to get hit by a car during a battle. I got this trophy without even trying when I hit an enemy into the middle of the road and they got run over. As soon as anyone, friend or foe, gets hit by a car during a battle, you will earn this trophy.

It counts even if the opponent is knocked out and thrown under a car.

We select a place where there is a lot of car traffic and there are no pedestrian crossings or sidewalk barriers. We are waiting for “clients” and I think the ding will not keep you waiting long
