How to unlock the It's not a competition but I'm winning achievement in Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles - Definitive Guide

The fishing competition is given by Angle in the Crestfall Coast. He is located esst of Fairmont, and northeast of the East Docks. The location is easily spotted by all the colorful decorations.

You have 180 seconds -- which start as soon as you accept the quest -- to catch as many fish as possible. Seven fish wins the competition.

* I highly recommend targetting Dip Fish, the smallest of the fish, as they are very common and only take a few seconds to reel in.

* If you hook something else, cancel out and try again. It is much faster than reeling in a different fish, even the other smaller fish like Lace Fish.

I just got this and I had a mix of large and small fish. I got 7 fish and won. Not sure what the cut off is to win, but at least 7.

In order to get this trophy you will need to win in the fishing contest set by the fisherman in Crestfall Coast. Go up to him after you obtain a fishing rod. You can either trade for a fishing rod at a trader or talk to Theodore who can be found beside the Goldlake in the Grasslands. He will give you a free fishing rod for his own quest. Talk to the fisherman and start the competition. You have 180 seconds to catch as many fish as you want. With the latest patch, it seems that you need anywhere from 7-13 fish to win the competition. Try to focus on catching the smallest fish, as they are easier to snag. Dip fish are the recommended ones. Fishing is simple in this game. Once a fish gets hooked, just tilt the left analog stick to the opposite direction in which the fish is traveling towards. You will eventually tire it out and snag it. Larger fish take more time.

Once you win the competition the trophy will unlock.
