You will receive a quest early on in the Grasslands, to repair a farm from Bushel. Once you've cleared the Murk and placed a large animal pen, you will be tasked with befriending a Groffle. You will need a stone and Celium flower to craft Celium seed to tame it so it will follow you back. Once you reach the animal pen, you will have an option to adopt the Groffle. Select yes to unlock the achievement.

After you built your first farm during the second main quest, you will be tasked to tame a Groffle. You will need to give him a Celium Seed so it will follow you. Lead him to your farm and the game will ask you if you want to adopt it; choose yes. You will need a Large Animal Pen in your farm so make sure to build it first (you can have it for free during the quest).
