"trick" to make it easier, in main menu, press the start to go to options and under game settings disable cross platform. that way you will play vs people on xbox only, and lets not kid ourselves right now, they are of way lower skill than the people on PC you will be matched vs otherwise
You don't have to win to rank up to bronze.
You won't get demoted if you are gold 5 or lower
If you win multiple in a row you can skip divisions ( I won 12 in a row starting from bronze and went straight from gold 4 to platinum 5) removed in February 2022

I highly recommend using a "Prank deck" setup, it is very simple to understand and was a lot of fun to use once I got the hang of it. I'll list all the cards I used below.
Also, as noted by the other solutions on the site, make sure to disable cross platform play in the settings menu. The Xbox players tend to be weaker... sorry guys.
This took a considerable amount of grinding to put together this deck, this is not a simple setup. You will need a ton of gems and materials if you want to make this deck as fast as possible. You can also change around my setup if you don't like certain parts of it.
Monsters
3x Effect Veiler
3x Prank-Kids Fansies
3x Maxx "C"
3x Prank-Kids Dropsies
3x Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring
3x Prank-Kids Lampsies
3x Prank-Kids Rocksies
3x Parallel eXceed (this card didn't really help me too much, feel free to ignore or replace them)
Spell Cards
2x Polymerization
1x Monster Reborn
1x Instant Fusion
1x One for One
3x Triple Tactics Talent
3x Prank-Kids Place
1x Prank-Kids Pranks
1x Called by the Grave
3x Prank-Kids Pandemonium
Trap Cards
N/A
Extra Deck
1x Prank-Kids Rocket Ride
1x Prank-Kids Weather Washer
1x Prank-Kids Battle Butler
1x Toadally Awesome (you can probably ignore this card too, up to you)
1x Abyss Dweller (you can probably ignore this card too, up to you again)
3x Prank-Kids Meow-Meow-Mu
1x Knightmare Phoenix
2x Prank-Kids Dodo-Doodle-Doo
2x Prank-Kids Bow-Wow-Bark
1x Knightmare Unicorn
Do not give up, even if you feel this deck is not working out for you. It takes time, practice, patience and LUCK. There is definitely some luck to factor in, I had horrible luck sometimes.
Some players on the site claim that if you can pull a 5 duel win streak while in Gold Tiers you might jump straight to platinum, I unfortunately never had a 5 win streak so I cannot confirm if it is true. It most likely is true.

EDIT Above (I've been told this is no longer true)

DISCLAIMER: This deck is no longer meta relevant, I no longer am playing master duel. Search up master duel meta and find a list, copy it and good luck.
For anyone like myself who had not played yugioh very much, if at all since like 2008 here is a deck you can use that is very simple to get the hang of and is incredibly easy to win in 2 turns with....this list was ripped straight off youtube in this video here:
You can watch him explain the card by card to understand what you're meant to do or I will explain it after the deck list.
3x DD Crow (SR)
3x Maxx "C" (UR)
3x Ash Blossom and Joyous Spring (UR) - one of these is very cheap with a bundle
2x Skull Meister (SR)
1x Zoodiac Bunnyblast (R)
3x Zoodiac Whiptail (R)
3x Zoodiac Throughblade (SR)
3x Zoodiac Ramram (R)
2x Pot of Avarice (SR) (original list calls for 1, 2 makes the deck more consistent if the game lasts longer)
3x Pot of Desires (SR)
3x Fire Formation Tenkyi (SR)
3x Forbidden Chalice (R)
3x Twin Twisters (SR)
3x Cosmic Cyclone (SR)
3x Infinite Impermenance (UR)
1x Solemn Judgement (UR)
EXTRA DECK
2x Zoodiac Tigermortar (R)
1x Zoodiac Drident (UR)
3x Zoodiac Boarbow (R)
2x Zoodiac Hammerkong (R)
3x Zoodiac Chakanade (N)
3x Drilldriver Vespanato (SR) (could cut this down to 2 and add another tigermortar if desired)
1x Divine Arsenal AA Zeus Sky Thunder(UR)
I was able to acquire the entire contents of this deck completing the first two zones of the single player and deconstructing everything irrelevant to build this as fast as possible.
HOW TO WIN WITH THE DECK
You are going to want to ideally be going second with this deck, so if you are ever given the choice pick second.
If you opponent has back row always clear those out with your cosmic cyclone/twin twisters before beginning your plays. We are going to want to NORMAL SUMMON any Zoodiac monster from our hand.
We will then go through the Zoodiac's in our extra deck, order you do this in does not matter right now, we just want to end on Zoodiac Boarbow. So summon out tigermortar, hammerkong chakanade and then Boarbow. The reason we want to end on Boarbow specifically is because you can use it's effect to attack directly, so proceed to battle and attack directly. Then proceed to main phase 2 and XYZ summon Zeus - who should be at 4 materials. Zeus can be summoned easily by performing an XYZ summon with an XYZ monster that battled this turn, which is why we wanted to end on boarbow and complete an easy attack. Immediately use his effect to clear the entire board ONLY IF YOUR OPPONENT HAS CARDS PLAYED, if for whatever reason this effect is negated you can do it again immediately afterward, making it very hard for your opponent to play through.
After using Zeus' effect place any spells or traps you have in your hand face down and pass turn. Use those spells/traps to protect Zeus, we are going to need him for our own turn.
Once turn is passed back to us we are going to want clear the board again if we have Zeus material left, then we will want to NORMAL SUMMON another Zoodiac monster if we have it, this time going into just Zoodiac Chakanade (XYZ summon) and using her effect to detach one material and special summon another Zoodiac monster from grave (you can use the material you just detached for the summon as well) ideally this target will always be zoodiac throughblade. Then we will XYZ summon drill driver vespanato on top of the Chakanade representing the following on board:
3000 Zeus
2500 Drill Driver Vespanato
1600 Throughblade
On an open board this is most often going to be enough to kill counting the first hit we landed with Boarbow (500-1600 damage).
If you are forced into going first then you will want to either end on Zoodiac Drident with at least 2 materials or just simply set your trap cards in hand and pass. You wont be able to go into Zeus on turn one because you cannot attack. We have to hope our hand traps will be enough to get another turn.
Any questions I would suggest watching the video above, it also shows a few matches played so you can get a sense of how the deck works. Overall this took me 8-12 hours to get from bronze to platinum 5.
Good luck!

I tried a lot of different decks that I saw on youtube. Most wouldn't even have a 50% win rate. This was easily the most consistent at getting the monsters out on the field and in terms of winning duels. Thank you!

For people who don't buy gem I recommend to complete Solo you get about 11k gem from completing it.
You should turn off cross-play since PC player are more try hard.
I use a tri-brigade deck after 12 winning streak after I reached Gold V i got to Platinum V .
I recommend watching pro yugioh player play at stream and try to copy their deck. I'm not going to lie i got my tri-brigade from a streamer and he teach viewer how to use it lol
Edit: I made it to platinum tier 2 with a sky striker deck . If you make a sky striker deck you’ll be in platinum in no time

This achievement isn't too challenging, using a meta deck should make this a breeze. I threw together a terrible Fluffal deck and still made Plat. The strategy is to go second and use toy vendor to draw cards to OTK with extra deck. The deck bricks a lot and gets destroyed when going first. Still, it carries up to Gold 4. I recommend switching it to something better at that rank.
Deck List:
[Monsters]
3x Fluffal Dog
3x Edge Imp Chain
2x Fluffal Penguin
2x Fluffal Bear
2x Fluffal Owl
2x Edge Imp Scythe
1x Fluffal Wing
1x Fluffal Dolphin
1x Fluffal Sheep
1x Fluffal Octopus
1x Maxx C
1x Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring (Bundle)
1x Edge Imp Sabres
[Spells]
3x Polymerization
3x Foolish Burial Goods
3x Frightfur Patchwork
3x Toy Vendor
2x Forbidden Droplet
1x Frightfur Repair
1x Lightning Storm (Bundle)
1x Frightfur Fusion
1x Suture Rebirth
1x Harpie's Feather Duster
[Extra Deck]
3x Frightfur Cruel Whale
1xFrightfur Kraken
1x Frightfur Sabre-Tooth
1x Frightfur Tiger
Tips:
>Meta favors going first, your deck should reflect that
>If your opponent plays Maxx C and you're going second, you probably lost
>Hand traps are great and should be a staple in your deck.
>Turn crossplay off around Gold 3, Xbox players are easier to beat (you can also message them and beg for the win if you're struggling)

I'd strongly advise saving this achievement last as obtaining the other achievements in platinum rank is extremely difficult.
I used an "Ancient Warriors" deck (good to quickly complete the special summon achievement as well) to breeze through gold-platinum. The reason for this is that
1) The deck is consistent
2) The deck is powerful
3) The duels involved in using Ancient Warriors are usually over with in a few minutes maximum
4) The deck is good going both first and second.
I used this deck list and made minor adjustments for budget reasons:
Additional tips: If your primary goal with Master Duel is to get the achievements, then I'd recommend the following tips:
- Invest your gems in decks that specifically aid to the completion of achievements
- Purchase the duel pass with 600 gems to obtain SR/UR crafting materials
- Do NOT surrender in a duel where you have made progress to an achievement. Stats are added up AFTER the duel has been completed, not during.
- Prioritise getting the achievements BEFORE reaching platinum rank. They become very difficult in higher ranks due to how the game is
- Focus crafting generic staples such as Ash Blossom, Maxx "C", and Pot of Extravagance early as they can be applied to any deck to improve their performance

I did this with an Adamancipator/Fossil Fusion deck. I am not at my Xbox right now, but here is what I remember using, three copies each unless limited:
Monsters-
all three different Adamancipator tuners
all three different Adamancipator crystals
Weathering Soldier
Spells-
Adamancipator field spell
Adamancipator excavation spell
Adamancipator summon rock monster in GY
Fossil Fusion
Time Stream
Traps-
Adamancipator negate if you control synchro
Adamancipator tribute and destroy +1
For the extra deck, I used one each of the following:
Fusion monsters-
Three different LV 4 Fossil monsters
One LV 6 Fossil monster
Three LV 8 Fossil monsters
One of each of the Adamancipator risen
A few more LV 6 or 8 fire, wind, or water synchro monsters
The basic strategy is to focus on the Adamancipators early, excavating at every opportunity, to ultimately get one of each crystal in the graveyard and synchro as many Risen as possible, especially the LV 8 water monster. That monster combined with the field spell is almost guaranteed to win, since you can force your opponent to put five cards back in their hand each turn. If they take control of one of yours, it will come back to your hand! If it came from the extra deck, it goes back to it, needing to be summoned again!
Later in the duel, if the opponent hasn't surrendered due to constant excavation or returning cards to their hands, or if a lot of your monsters are in the graveyard, then you switch to focusing on the Fossil cards. If you get a Fossil fusion and a time stream, you can go straight to a LV 8 Fossil monster and if it goes to the graveyard, activate time stream to bring it back. Fossil fusion can come out of the graveyard too if a Fossil monster is destroyed.
I have had several duels where I was behind, not expecting to win, but drew the right card to start the combo again, and ultimately win the duel.
I will update the solution with an actual deck list when I return from vacation in a few days.

So I am just about done with this game which I will gladly abandon after finishing the achievements.
I don't think there is really a perfect general solution because there are so many ways to experiment for everyone with building decks (which is ALL the fun to be honest).
Even if you're a little more than a casual it's just a grind and you'll get there eventually. Build a trick deck someone posted here and make it to Platinum over time as losing does not cut your progress up to this rank. Then build decks specifically cut out for each achievement.
Arrange a set of things to relieve stress and keep your sanity while you play because you will start to ask yourself if you wasted your life with video games soon. Your opponents will have no respect regarding your or their lifetime spend this way so try to do meaningful things like learning a language or talking to a friend while you're at it.
Godspeed and all that,
Miasma
