There are two previews to unlock in 999.
The first preview is unlocked when reaching the 'Safe' ending (going through door number 5, then 8, then 6).
The second preview is unlocked when reaching the 'Coffin' or the 'True' ending. For these two endings, you'll need to take door number 4, then 7, then 1. In addition, you'll need to pass four story checks. These are:
- Behind door number 4, accept the bookmark Santa offers you.
- Behind door number 4, say "It did seem rather odd" when given the option.
- Behind door number 7, when talking to Seven a prompt says "Do you...". Pick "know about ICE-9?".
- Behind door number 7, give Clover the 4-leaf clover bookmark when given the option.
If you have not unlocked the 'Safe' ending yet, you'll see the rather abrupt 'Coffin' ending. If you have unlocked the 'Safe' ending before, the game continues and you'll reach the 'True' ending.
If this is not your first play-through, you can speed up previously seen cutscenes by pressing cn_X until it says ‘skip’ in the bottom right corner. If you have not seen that particular cutscene before, pressing cn_X will only cycle between ‘stop’ and ‘auto’. The 'skip' mode will stop when player input is required (for dialogue options or choosing doors).

The 999 previews are special videos that play after achieving certain endings of the game. There are two in total and the videos are located after the Safe Ending and the Coffin Ending. The Coffin Ending video will also unlock after achieving the True Ending (as the Coffin Ending is the True Ending's default if players have not met certain conditions; see Don't Forget Your Towel). You will unlock this trophy on your way towards unlocking all of the ending trophies.
