This unlocks when reaching the ‘Knife’ ending in 999.
There are three routes you can take to reach it. These are:
- Going through door number 4, then 7, then 6.
- Going through door number 4, then 8, then 6.
- Going through door number 5, then 7, then 6.
The dialogue options you pick do not matter.
If this is not your first play-through, you can speed up previously seen cutscenes by pressing
until it says ‘skip’ in the bottom right corner. If you have not seen that particular cutscene before, pressing will just cycle between ‘stop’ and ‘auto’. The 'skip' mode will stop automatically when player input is required (for dialogue options or choosing doors).

The Knife Ending is one of the three bad endings in 999. On the flowchart, it is the right branch of the middle path (the same one that has the Safe Ending). To access it, you can choose any of the following door combinations: 4/7/6, 5/7/6 or 4/8/6.
