How to unlock the Guts and glory achievement in Zombie Army Trilogy - Definitive Guide
The "Gold Medals" are nothing else than the Symbols in the Endscreen statistic and you need to have all on gold.(Be the best of your team)
My Solution
Grab a friend or use the Gaming sessions here and to make it simple play with only 1 partner!
You need to reach wave 10 and the easiest map is "Dead End".
And there are 4 more requirements to be fulfilled to get the achievement:
Best Shot:
The longest with the highest combo
Do a 30x combo and get a 70m long shot and you're good to go.
Kills:
Get the most kills, the preacher will be helpful and the explosives too.
Revives:
At round 9, leave one zombie alive (erm...) and your buddy takes the fall.
Lure the zombie away, revive and kill the zombie.
If you go down in the game, he needs to go down twice etc.
Highest Combo:
Captain obvious is not in the house.
Just make sure you talk to your buddy that he doesn't get a higher combo than you.
Your end game screen should look like this to get the achievement:

I would recommend using shotgun 99% of the time and sniper for the jumping guys and pistol for emergency running.
Gold medals are obtained in Horde mode for achieving the highest amount/number of different statistics at the end of the game. There are a maximum of four Gold medals that can be earnt in a game of Horde Mode. These include:
- Best shot (i.e. highest score from a single shot)
- Highest number of kills
- Highest number of co-op partner revives
- Highest combo/ chain kill
In order to obtain a gold medal you must achieve the highest score out of all players in that game. The only medal progress you can track during the game is for total points which is displayed in the corner of the screen. It doesn't matter how many other co-op players are in the game and it doesn’t matter if players leave and new players join. As long as you make it to at least Wave 10 with the most number of Gold medals you will unlock the trophy. It's worth noting that the game has to actually end for the medals to be awarded i.e. everyone must die. If you leave the game before this point, they will not count and you will not unlock the trophy.
Tips:
- Use the Shotgun as it has a wide spread, thus allowing you to hit multiple enemies at once.
- Chain as many kills together as you can as this will help your progress towards at least 3 out of 4 of the medals.
- Play the map in which you are most comfortable with and learn the layout. This includes the location of ammo boxes and enemy spawn points. The first 5-6 Waves are dominated by standard zombies which can be killed with a single shotgun shot at close range.
