It seems that aiming the head of the elephant during the process shortens the hose interaction, it will bother the animal but it's faster^^

The following animals can be interacted with using the hose interaction: Bears, Elephants, Hippos, and Rhinos.
Build an exhibit with a hose interaction - tundra with Kodiak bears is what I used. I personally would suggest using bears for speed - the elephants will spend a few seconds splashing you after the interaction which can slow you down. I also suggest filling the exhibit with as many animals as you can to speed up their rotation (this is unconfirmed but I felt like it helped).
I also found this to be the slowest of the three types of interaction so bear with it (pardon the pun). Once a bear or other animal approaches, keep the hose aimed at it and hold the trigger. The hose will naturally try to gravitate back to centre so be sure to steer it with the left or right stick. I didn’t find there was a particular place on the bears you had to aim for to make progress; I also found that “pumping” the hose trigger doesn’t help, you need to keep it held down. You might want to turn your vibration off for this one!
The progress bar will disappear momentarily between each stage - just keep using RT to wash the animal until it completely fills and you’re “kicked” off the exhibit. Then you can jump back on to rinse and repeat (okay that pun was less excusable that time). The achievement tracker is quick to update so you might enjoy having that on the overlay for this one.
