Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection

The first 5 scenarios of the Original campaign are not too challenging.

I'm sure these are not the quickest or most efficient methods, but they will get the job done without too much hassle. Be efficient – if the you are waiting for something to research, move onto the next step if you can. I haven't listed where the exhibits are - if you're worried about running out of time you could always start the scenario, take a look around and identify where everything is, then select retry. It shouldn't be necessary though - there should be plenty of room for error.

I reference what I call “Fame-building”. This involves upgrading everything new or existing as much as possible, building assorted concessions, decorations and facilities and hiring staff. Virtually everything you build or upgrade will increase your fame and you can quickly increase in level by going on a building spree. Use LT on each individual menu tab to see how much Fame it will earn – the bottom left number next to the star is the Fame rating. Build items with higher numbers to increase Fame faster.

Finally, it should go without saying that when adopting animals, choose the cheapest available. Never adopt babies. It is possible these solutions may not work if you have terrible luck with the list of available animals but there should always be time to wait for the list to refresh.

ZOO 1: UK - CAMBRIDGESHIRE ANIMAL PARK
Adopt another 2 West African Giraffes in Savannah Large and put in appropriate exhibit items,
Research Janitor’s Office,
Fix the Exhibit items in Tropical Medium for Elephants – you will need to sell one of the interactions and replace it with an activity centre enrichment,
Hire one level 3 Zoo Keeper,
Build a Rest Room and upgrade to level 2,
Build a Tropical Small exhibit, equip it for Lions and adopt 2 x Asiatic Lions
Build a Janitors Office and staff it with 1 x level 3 Janitor,
Upgrade the Deco Plaza, Burger Barn, Lion Mascot and Small Lake to level 2,
Just wait it out or upgrade the Zoo Keeper Centre and Janitor Office to hit Fame Level 7 and finish.

Completing your first Original Campaign scenario will unlock:


ZOO 2: USA ALASKA – ZOO INSPECTION
Build exhibit items in Savannah Large (for Elephants), Alpine Large (for Bears) and Tropical Medium (for Chimps),
Research Zoo Keeper Centre,
Adopt 3 x Central Chimpanzees into Tropical Medium
Build a Zoo Keeper Centre and staff with two level 3 Keepers,
Build and complete a feeding interaction in Savannah Large with the Elephants,
Upgrade Balloon Shop, Animal Totem Statue x 2, Restrooms, Burger Barn, Lemur Fountain 01, Bear Fountain and Coffee Shop all to level 2,
Fame-build to level 9 to finish.

ZOO 3: USA WEST COAST – BACK TO NATURE
Adopt a 2nd Bengal Tiger in Tropical Small and fix the exhibit items,
Research Zoo Keeper Centre,
Build animal care exhibit items in Savannah Small for Hippos,
Build a Zoo Keeper Centre and staff with 2 x level 3 Keepers,
Research Janitor’s Office,
Research Topical Medium exhibit,
Build Janitor’s Office and staff with one level 3 Keeper,
Build Deco Plaza 01, upgraded to level 2,
Build Animal Totem Statue 01 and upgrade to level 2,
Build Tropical Medium Exhibit,
Research Grassland Medium Exhibit,
Build exhibit items for Chimpanzees in Tropical Medium,
Upgrade Restrooms, Soft Drinks Stand 01, Popcorn Stand and Cuddly Toy Shop to level 2,
Sell some of the rock decorations in the centre. Because the zoo has so many decorations, you will start to lost money as you build up the other categories,
Adopt Central, Nigeria-Cameroon and Bonobo Chimpanzees – 1 of each then the cheapest 4th,
Research Billboard Advertising and run a high intensity campaign,
Build Grassland Medium Exhibit but leave it empty,
Build 3 small trees from the scenery section of the decorations menu. You need 5 unique decorations so put down anything that has a 0 on the menu tab,
Fame-build to level 10.

ZOO 4: USA EAST COAST – PHOTO SENSITIVE
Adopt 2 Chimpanzee’s into Temperate Forest,
Fix exhibit items in Savannah Medium (for Hippos) and Alpine Large (for Tigers),
Build Zoo Keeper Centre and hire two level 3 Keepers,
Research Janitor’s Office,
Upgrade Restrooms,
Build Janitor’s Office and hire one level 3 Janitor,
Build Tropical Rock and adopt 3 x Ring-Tailed Lemur’s. Take their photograph right away,
Research and build Tropical Tree,
Research and adopt 3 x Blue and Yellow Macaw in Tropical Tree 01, Photograph immediately,
Upgrade Popcorn Shop, Balloon Shop, Burger Barn, Elephant Topiary and Lion Mascot. This should get us to Fame Level 8, (if not, Fame-build)
Research Tropical Lawn mini exhibit,
Build a 2nd Restrooms and upgrade to level 2,
Build Tropical Lawn then research and adopt 2 x Indian Peafowl. Photograph immediately,
Upgrade Janitor’s Office to Level 2 – should unlock Fame Level 9,
Research and build Savannah Rock mini exhibit. Research and adopt 3 x Meerkats. Take their photograph,
Fame-build to reach Fame Level 10 mark, if you are not already there, to complete the scenario.

ZOO 5: INDIA – IN DEAR INDIA
In Tropical Medium adopt 2 x Central Chimpanzees, and set up the exhibit items for Chimps,
Build exhibit items in Savannah Large for Elephants,
In Alpine Large, build exhibit items for Bears,
Research Zoo Keeper Centre – build and hire 2 x level 3 Keepers,
Research Janitor's Office – build and hire 2 x level 3 Janitors,
Upgrade existing buildings to hit Fame Level 7,
Build Tropical Small exhibit and set it up for Tigers,
Research and adopt 1 x South China Tiger then adopt 1 x Bengal Tiger into Tropical Small,
Research Billboard advertising. Run campaigns continuously Ultra or Very High recommended,
Upgrade both Restrooms to level 2,
Research Tropical Lawn mini exhibit – you may need to Fame-build to reach level 8,
Build Tropical Lawn and adopt 2 x Indian Peafowl,
Research and adopt 1 x Sri Lankan Elephant into Savannah Large,
Fame build to level 10,
Drop Admission Price to low or free – make sure you have enough money to continue building if required. Scenario done once guests reach 8000.
