How to unlock the Popo Poyolli achievement in Zuma - Definitive Guide

The Popo Poyolli temple consists of level 7 to level 9. Each Level has 7 stages so 7-1, 7-2, 7-3, etc. Upon the completion of Level 9-7 this achievement will unlock. This temple has an additional color (white) ball added in. This can make it much more difficult for some gamers.

As requested by Doominatorx6 here are some strategies to help get through these levels and the rest of the game. There are four main strategies for getting past levels on Zuma Achievements as well as getting 2,000,000 Scores in one game.
Here are the strategies:
-Build combos and chains for bonus points to maximize your Zuma score.
-Remember that you can swap orbs in your stone frog idol in order to swap the current orb with the next orb in the shooting order.
-If you receive a useless orb you can shoot it off the screen to avoid complicated your game.
-Earn large 500 point bonuses for shooting at gold coins on the screen.

The faster you score points the faster the gauge in the top right hand corner of the screen goes up resulting in faster times and Ace Bonuses (up to 10,000 points for fast times).

Note: If you are going to vote negatively please comment or PM me first as I am willing to adjust anything that needs to be for this to be proper. smile

Level 8-4 is gonna be the death of me. I get to it with all lives everytime, then lose them all on this level.

8-4!!!!! Tell me about it, GRRRRRRRRR. I have cleared it a couple of times by forgetting the usual strategies of setting up pairs and combos, instead just clearing as much as I can and hoping for a bit of luck with Backwards balls or ready-made combos, but what a stinker

Has anyone tried playing this game with an (SF4, Tekken 6) arcade stick? Does it make it more easier?

Holy crap, I decided to come back to this game and didn't realize I got a shoutout in the solution!

Unfortunately, your strategies are the standard things I simply cannot do lol. Luck plays a HUGE role in this game.

Also, level 8-3: FUCK YOU. I can literally do every other level, barring a few challenges, except this one. URGH.

I have completely completed the three stages in the pop poyolli temple and am now working on the secret shrine of zuma, however this achievement did not unlock... I was curious if all three temples had to be completed in one play through as it took me many attempts on stage 9 or is this a glitch? Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Building on mcass23s commeng, Don't forget the never version actually works with the controller, I'm extremely lucky if I get through one level without that controller glitch. I tried dashboarding every time it happened as this seems the only way to fix it, and sometimes the reload still has the problem, but I've now lost 6 levels of progress so cant use that reliably any more. Its just not playable with the controller problem. :(

Alright so last night I was attempting this and got to 9-7 with one life and literally had 10 balls left and lost! angry

So I try it again right now and after failing 9-4 twice I finally pass that, 9-5, and 9-6, and I get to 9-7, and THE SAME THING HAPPENS! I get the Zuma bar filled and literally have 10 balls left and somehow they sprint to the skull. WTF!!!

This game is so much fun but can make you want to throw your Xbox out the window sometimes.

If you experience the controller glitch where the left stick isn't fully rotating the frog, try rotating the right stick. In my experience this will get the left stick rotating properly again. Oh, and I also managed to pass 9-7 one time and wasn't awarded the achievement.

The TA score for this should be much higher. That was ridiculously difficult.

...I still play from time to time... and my only strategy is to swear at the screen... and that doesn't seem to help.

Still stuck in the 9th stage... made it to 9-4 quite a few times (I believe that there is a 9-5.. but Im not certain...that could have been a dream...or a nightmare...), but Im usually at my last life (at 9-4). I would try to keep all lives through the first two/three levels (restarting the whole stage 9 once you lose just one) and remember that this version likes to give you colors to set you up for chains that you may not see in your 'shooting view' right away. When the level starts look first before shooting to see what both your colors can give you for chains...and in turn bonuses. But once it starts moving...its usually hopeless... and then the swearing starts again...

After HOURS of playing this Zuma again I do remember that this game does really suck!! ...if one doesn't care about completing this version... move onto the sequel, Zuma's Revenge! ...its a little easier...way more responsive, better accuracy and makes one feel Way more accomplished... Good Luck to all!

Sure! There are four main strategies for getting past these levels or any other levels in the game as well as getting 2,000,000 Scores in one game.

Hope this helps you Doominatorx6. smile

This is a redirect more than a guide. Check out IXI FalcoN's guide to Score Champion (Awarded for earning 2,000,000 scores) for a game-save trick on the Xbox 360 to help you get this more easily. You can do the trick from temple 9-1 and have as many goes at each stage as you need to pass it.
