How to unlock the The Grandmaster achievement in Absolver - Definitive Guide

Okay, so there is not a quick way to get this achievement, but I can provide some tips and some schools that helped me learn most of the moves. Make sure to get through the campaign at least once before you start grinding for this. The fastest to get all the moves would be to find a boosting partner and then using your defensive ability to learn the moves faster off each other. You can also double box this achievement if you have two Xbox ones. It's also best to try to browse through leaderboards of schools and see what moves you are missing. You can try out the bare hands of the school at level 1. For you to access the sword moves of a new school you must level up the school to level 3 in combat trials. Make sure you equip all of the content of the school before you go to combat trials.

There's also an NPC (Rakkio) school in Raslan Coliseum who will provide a lot of Stagger moves. He's behind a large metal door in the area and you can only access it once you have defeated Jinn Mesca.

Here's some schools that have some obscure moves that aren't too common. The moves in these schools should stay the same. If the moves change, I don't control that since the schools have been made by other users besides #32898

#69 Credit to Infamous
#32898
#25560
#31217

FEEL FREE TO ADD MORE SCHOOLS IN THE COMMENTS SO WE CAN HELP THE COMMUNITY.

If you don't have the luxury of double boxing or having a boosting partner then here is a link of every move and what NPC may have it. I don't recommend this method because it will take even longer than the method above.

You can scroll through the leaderboards of all previous seasons. Should be relatively easy to find schools with the few moves you're missing late game.

The most time-consuming trophy in the set. To obtain this one, you have to learn all the moves in the bare-hand and sword decks.

By the time you have reached this point, you will have learnt some of the moves and be learning a whole lot of them. There are a few ways you can learn moves in the game, which are:

  • Enemy AI – Simply block a move to gain experience. Using your special ability awards more experience for a move.
  • Online – Playing against other players can help learn some of the moves if you defeat them
  • A friend – Share and exchange moves you may be missing
  • Schools – Introduced in patch 1.16, using a school deck awards you experience towards moves you don't already know
  • Downfall – This will be to learn the Faejin moves, although you may learn other moves as you spend time in this mode

Of these methods, the school method is the most convenient, as it awards you for using the attacks you don’t know. It is slower than learning it from the AI but it is still useful to learn certain moves like Calbot. You can preview whether a school has moves you need by going to the attacks tab whilst viewing it. To access the sword decks, you must hit rank 3 with the school you join.

The enemy AI know all the moves in the game, so you can farm them offline if you want to tackle most of the moves on your own. In order to learn sword attacks from a certain enemy, you must find a sword weapon around the area and drop it in front of them. Be careful when farming the sword attacks, you will take some damage even when blocking. The one move that can prove difficult to find offline at present is Tei-Nami, which is found on a very rare enemy in the Tower of Adal. If you are struggling with this move, join a school which includes it and learn it to save time looking for it offline.

The important thing to note is that you must defeat the opponent you have been learning moves from to keep any earned experience, dying will set the gauge back to its previous position. The trophy will be awarded once you master the final move you need.

If you are after someone to learn/ share moves with then head over to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

As an option, join schools and practice on enemies.

I'll add more when I find a school with a group of other techniques.

After you have joined the school (which has the techniques you need), it is better to learn the missing techniques on the Kurets boss, after you defeat him the third time.

I advise you to take gloves and swords, the use of which requires a minimum of charged fragments (2), so that you can easily charge them, killing the mobs that he calls for help.

After Kuretz is protected by a crowd of mobs, move to the side (at a safe distance) until the boss fights off the crowd.

He himself learned more than 70% of sword techniques in this way.

As a result, I searched for schools for a very long time through the NPS search and got from 1 to 600. If you suddenly decide to do the same thing, then don’t repeat my mistakes (how to find a school, don’t look at the number of blows and the number of students studied in a given school, go to all the techniques of the school and look how many of them are really there (those that you study will be visible immediately, but those that you have never met will not).
