How to unlock the No Node Left Behind achievement in Adera - Definitive Guide

As the achievement says, you need to complete the orb game without losing a node to the orange spheres. You also aren't allowed to lose a line, either - the orange orbs contacting either an in-progress node or an in-progress line will cause you to miss this achievement. (Touching a completely line/node is fine.)

To play the orb game, you need to connect the dots in turn so that all of the orbs are connected. To start, simply click on the active (glowing) node, and drag to an unused node. It's okay for your lines to cross; but note that the lines will follow the path you draw, it doesn't find the straight-line path between the two nodes.

If an orange orb touches the destination node, or the growing line between the two, the line will shatter. If that happens, go ahead and hit the Reset button in the upper right. Resetting the puzzle allows you to continue attempting the achievement; there's no need to quit or deal with backup copies of your save.

There's a cheap trick that will allow you to easily get this achievement. While the Instructions window is open, the orange orbs will freeze - but an in-progress node will continue/complete. So you can draw the line, hit the Instructions button, then wait for it to finish; close the window; and move on to the next line.

It is important to mention - If an orange ball breaks it, RESET the puzzle and try again. I messed up on the first, reset and did it again. Did the 2nd perfectly. Messed up on the 3rd, reset and did it again flawlessly and still got the achievment.

@Kanchanaburi: Your comment is very important! Thanks! Would also be good to mention it in the main solution.

This is one of the worst things I've ever played.

@Rusty Nail zh: it was already mentioned in the solution, third paragraph.

@Lvx: I'm not going to pretend it's great, but I don't remember it being *that* bad.

In this mini-game you will need to draw connection lines between nodes and then allow them to fill in that line (takes a couple seconds depending on the length of the line. While this part is happening the roving orange dots CANNOT touch any part of your line or the two end nodes you are connecting.

This may sound hard but is not that bad if you watch the orange balls and time it right.

Couple things:
1) There is no time limit, so just be patient. watch for the orange balls to move away and ensure that their path will not have them hit something and ricochet right back at you.

2) Try to draw the lines joining the shortest possible distances. You may also want to consider drawing lines in ways that can trap roving orange nodes behind then indefinitely, removing obstacles for you drawing further lines.

3) If you get hit, just hit the restart button in the top right ASAP before it has a chance to save the fact that you got hit. You then can retry just the puzzle you are on without incurring that penalty. i.e. if you reset with one line left on the 3rd puzzle, you just restart the third puzzle, not from #1.

Every time I've gone through I've connected the nodes in a different order so choice the path that will work for you, but most of all...be patient!

MOD EDIT
Due to a change in site policy, we no longer recommend moving files.

I did this and it didn't unlock. So will have to play through again.

Instead of hitting "restart", I hit the little "down arrow" (the one you use to go to a previous area) when an orange ball hit a line. I still got the achievement after restarting the puzzle.

You can also copy mid-stage and it'll still work.

Neither reset solution worked for me. It'd be nice if Adera didn't autosave when I was trying to do this.

Ha, I was going to do that when I got home from work. Glad it's already confirmed to work!

The game seems to autosave every other move.

I'm having real trouble with this, the last time really took my time didn't move until I was sure I was going to make it and never got the line hit or the node I was going to hit and still not popped any advice??? I have restarted the game 5 times so far, does skipping the screens matter?

First off if you successfully passed all 3 stages without one orange ball interrupting your lines and the achievement didn't pop, well that both sucks as is the first person I've heard from who had it glitch.
Secondly instead of restarting the whole game I definitely recommend using Throni360's method of copying off the save file right before that puzzle. Should save you a ton of time.

Yeah can someone fill us in on which file is the save file?

I'm not positive which file it is, although I suspect it is the .dat file under the folder with the crazy name based on the modified timestamp on it and when I completed the game. That being said, I believe Throni360's suggestion (and a much simpler, broad brush approach) is simply to copy the whole set of nested folders to your desktop, and if you fail, copy the whole thing back, overwriting the ones in the original location.

This will ensure that the save file gets restored each time.

You can click on reset to reset the current board (not the entire game) and if a ball hits. It will still unlock.

While watching the instructions, the orange balls freeze, while the line is calmly completed. Using this feature, calmly draw figures.
