How to unlock the Fishbone achievement in Army of Ruin - Definitive Guide

I tried with the Ariana character but not succeeded at all, because comparing her general stats with other character unlocked later in the game are not very good, I mean, speed, attack and fire rate mostly.
So I tried with Midas, and won on the 1st try.
All my skills were upgraded up to level 10, and I did not care about evolving the weapons beyond level 5, I tried to use weapons and trinkets that has something to do related to the enemies not reaching your, fire rate or size of your attack mostly. Sometimes when you try to evolve you end up picking thing that does not help you at all in the objective you are trying to achieve.

Character: Midas (reached level 33 with 10,872 damage and 11 DPS)
Weapons:
Living Paintbrush lvl 3 (default weapon)
Sparksword lvl 5
Wolf's Fang lvl 4
Toxic Stench lvl 5
Mighty Punch lvl 5

Trinkets:
Voodoo Doll lvl 5
Spyglass lvl 5
Magnifier Glass lvl 4

If you're wondering why these three specific stages have no-damage runs on them, it's because even though no enemies shoot projectiles on you, these three stages have some extra stuff to deal with that makes completing them without taking damage harder than others:

  • Graveyard II has groups of enemies that rush in from a random side of the screen during a few waves. Their health is quite high, so you'll likely need to rely on knockback to make room for yourself (or high enough damage and/or movement speed)
  • Forest III has boars that charge slowly across the screen with high health. Thankfully, these can easily be avoided by going behind cover (buildings and fences). Otherwise, knockback still does the trick here
  • Glacier I has two annoyances. It has two waves of nonstop enemies coming across the screen from one side, and this happens during two waves. If you have decent movement speed, you can dodge them since they're relatively sparse, but they go through objects so cover won't help here. Knockback and damage are also helpful. The second thing is the serpent enemies that pop out of the ground and shoot projectiles at you. These are the biggest threat, but thankfully they only appear on two of the waves. I highly recommend staying near cover (rock or house) so that when they spawn, you can avoid their projectiles behind cover while your weapons take them out
Other than that, you'll pretty much be proceeding like normal, with a high focus on knockback (Silver Bullet is best) and size (Magnifier is best). You want to keep enemies as far from you as possible so there's no chance of you accidentally getting hit. Also, since you're taking no damage in these runs, anything that lows maximum health is completely fine. If you have Buckler unlocked, you could use it as an emergency backup. I didn't use it at all, and instead relied on knockback and damage. You'll want to play as someone who can get kills quickly right out of the gate, such as Selina or Ker. Just be very careful but fast in the beginning that you're collecting gems to level but aren't getting close enough to anyone to take damage. Once you get a build going, stay conservative and never put yourself at risk. Weapons like Ranger Bow (especially evolved), Quicksilver Spears (especially evolved), Spectral Dagger (especially evolved), Necromancer Gauntlets, and Volcanic Orbs are great for keeping a path clear in front of you while you do circles to keep enemies away, especially the stronger waves later on. Focus on trinkets that boost knockback, size, and damage, and you should be able to manage these achievements by just being a little more careful than usual.
