How to unlock the Bug Shooter achievement in Azkend 2: The World Beneath - Definitive Guide

WARNING THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS PRETTY LUCK BASED!
Never fear SnapDragon is here and has found an easier method.

Recommended level: 11-1 (the background of this level happens to be the achievement picture)
This level will give you several opportunies to zap a bug mid-flight.

Recommended setup:
Camera and Sub Electrics these will keep your tesla coils regularly charged near full capacity ready to zap one of those "little yellow bastards" when it starts flying.
Edit: No longer necessary but it helps to weaken bugs faster.

So the general idea is that you want to weaken the bugs in the centre down to one hit, the bugs on the far left and far right don't matter as they always crawl up their respective sides. But it can be useful to just kill them off quickly as your charged tesla coils always target the farthest bug along, and you don't want them getting in your way.

Once weak you must wait for a bug to get into a space where they cannot travel any further forward. (Without flying)
At this point you must be in a position where you can

Either
(MUCH EASIER METHOD DISCOVERED BY SnapDragon)
make a match with enough tiles touching the bug to kill it, but hold the match and wait for it to start flight, confirm the match then watch as it is almost instantly struck down from the sky.
Boom! Achievement Unlocked!

Note this is not level 11-1 but the idea is the same.

Or
(my shitty luck based original method that I'll just leave here for archiving purposes)
unleash the tesla coils charge by holding down a move that will generate a charge, the camera is great for this, combined with a compass piece even better. I would recommend either having 3, preferably 4 coils already charged because an extra charge coming in can make a split second of difference and screw you out of the achievement.

Now the horrible luck based part, you cannot tell which bug is about to move or when, all you know is that multiple bugs can't move at the same time, to make matters worse if you recognise a bug is just lifting off the game is too slow and making the match will zap the bug after he lands.
So it basically comes down to setting up as best you can and then praying that when you time your release of the match that the bug you want to hit starts flying just when sparks do to.

This level is nice though because you usually get a few attempts at it before having to restart, and once you get the sense of timing down the luck will eventually fall your way and boom achievement unlocked!

Anything I may have missed or any other suggestions, write a comment and I'll be sure to add it.

I tried doing it with the Tesla coil for some time, and it was just too luck-based. It turns out it's much easier to just hit a bug with a killing blow right as it takes flight. That's what I did here: https://www.twitch.tv/snapdragon64/v/96657019

Level 4.2 is the first and easiest stage to get this achievement. What you need to do to get this achievement is time a lightning strike perfectly so that it kills a bug while it is flying from one section of the board to another. The only time a bug will do this is if it can't travel "up" anymore, in which case it will fly over an empty area to the upper portion of the board. This is why you'll need to do this achievement on level 4.2 or a similar stage where there is a gap between the board sections so the bugs will actually fly.

It would be best to use the Mechanism passive item to give yourself more time, as you'll want to get the bugs down to 1-2 health while they're still at the bottom of the board all while building your lightning coils so you can unleash it hopefully while one of the bugs is flying to the top section of the board. This is another achievement that will require quite a bit of luck with your timing, but it shouldn't take more than a few attempts to time it right. In fact, I found it easier to use the Stone Face passive item which will let you make matches much quicker, and the fact that the bugs moved faster made it easier for me. Instead of trying to be patient and time it right, I just made matches as fast as I could near the bugs without stopping, which set lightning coils off often enough to coincide with a bug in flight.
