How to unlock the Requiem for a Killer achievement in Batman: Arkham Knight - Definitive Guide

Believe me when I say this is very possible if you keep in mind a few things.

Croc will "Begin to activate" once you get to around 1,050,000 points. Once you get this score enemies should stop spawning and it's a matter of clearing them out; before I go into "Croc Strategies" lets begin with getting you there.

There's no easy mode to get this achievement, It's skill and patience based but here are some tips to make your life easier:

1. Abuse Dodge Roll (Double Tap A), this will give you time to see where to go next and to assess the general situation without losing your combo.

2. Abuse Quick Grapping Hook Takedown (LT + Y > Tap X) It will always automatically target the electrified guys first, remove their electricity, 99% of the time it will also make you immune to damage/being hit whilst performing it on the electric guys.

3. As soon as you see an enemy with a shield or electric baton use X + Y to destroy the weapon/shield completely, you want as little of these in play as possible.

4. When you hear the "Beep.. Beep... Beep" of the Gun crates being opened don't panic, in fact let them open it and take a gun out, when the gun is equipped you can use X + Y combo to destroy the gun taking it out of play completely, they won't revisit the same box twice.

5. If you get hit even once, Restart - I got Croc to appear well before the Brutes (Big guys) started to show up, Once they start appearing you might as well give up, sure it's definitely possible from this point but they just make things more difficult than it needs to be.

6. If you have it, Use the Batman Beyond skin - It removes Batman's cloak and honestly I found this easier to see what im doing without Batman's cloak getting in the way, it's a small quality of life change more than anything.

7. Take breaks and don't get frustrated, the more annoyed you become the worse you will do. If you cant do it, make a cup of tea and watch some tv for half an hour, do not stress yourself because your performance WILL be affected.

---

Once Croc jumps down, Nightwing will jump into the arena and the final phase of the achievement will begin; hopefully by this point you haven't been hit much so you can a few hits from Croc without needing to worry.

This is exactly the same as the fight from the Story DLC, just avoid Croc (Spam dodge roll on the goons to help with this) whilst hitting the goons to fill your Dual Combo meter, once filled tap LB to perform a team takedown on Croc.

After 4 Dual Takedowns you'll go into a phase where you need to spam X on croc to attack him whilst occasionally pressing Y to dodge, the notifications above his head are pretty clear so you shouldn't mess up here.

Good luck! It's a tough one!

I did not realise that using the bat claw take down on the electric guys turned off any other attacker, thanks so much for that tip! Very cool!

The Quick Grappling Hook Attack is cn_LT + cn_Y not cn_RT + cn_Y. The Ground Pound Takedown is cn_RT + cn_Y.

And I've done it, all you need is Quick Batclaw (cn_LT + cn_Y), primary strike (cn_X) and disarm (cn_X + cn_Y). Remember. When you keep spamming cn_X, you get only strike (10 points), when you press it once, then let it land on an enemy, you get critical strike (20 points when combo number is yellow) and that also makes your multiplier jump x3 instead of x2, I failed the combo right after getting 1 milion points. But there were alot of baseball bats/pipes around on the floor to simply pick them up (cn_X + cn_A) and power through remaining enemies to get 1,050,000 and clear the stage up. Killer Croc fight is as simple as it was in the infamy DLC, build up double takedown with Batman and Nightwing and go. Good Luck :)

I don't think anyone mentioned this but fortunately your non-armor health gets replenished when Croc and Nightwing join the fight. At least mine got replenished.

@jedimaster573 The WB community created and influenced the achievements for this pack as well as Rocksteady but don't let that stop you from thinking the developers are plotting against you. These great people clearly poured their hearts into this series but in your mind they're just a bunch of conspirators out to get you by creating hard achievements. Best of luck to you and your new controller. Allow me to post a link to the actual conversation between those two Rocksteady developers.

Breaking the guns, shields and shock sticks really made this an easy achievement. That grapple trick works wonders as well. +1

This achievement really isn't that bad, guys. Curtain Falls is way tougher, imo.

I personally liked the medics. It meant that they would electrify guys which means I would always have a target with the batclaw. LT + Y. It always locks on to those guys so you can get rid of them right away.

By studlybambi on 28 Jan 2016 15:43
Just finished it today and I would suggest to keep medics alive if possible. The more guys they cause to be electric the better. I seem to notice other non electric guys would stay back and let the electric guys attack. Easy to lock onto with the bat claw. Very frustrating achievement

yeah I've found the most success by just spamming the Batclaw attack early into the round. Dodge, hit, build up combo, claw attack, repeat. The part that always fucks me up is when the ninjas show up. They move so fast and sometimes one of those jerks will just fly off a wall from halfway across the screen and screw me.

another useful tip....Batman has a devastating Ice Grenade that can be used to freeze multiple enemies once you have a 5x (or multiplier of 5) combo built up. This can be helpful in thinning the herd.

im completely baffled at how Scorch got this before any of the big guys showed up...what combos were you using? X only or LT plus Y ? you were able to get a 500 hit combo before the first big goon showed up?? my best is 680000 and 235 hits before the big guys showed up..any help would be appreciated

By KJer25 on 28 Jan 2016 22:49
@kjer I've never had the big guys show up until after defeating croc and I've done this many times now. I wonder what makes them spawn, I guess it's based on time? I attack with X mostly as it adds 3 to your combo when the special move bar is full and the only time I use a special is to destroy shields/batons/guns. Batclaw slam for the electrified guys, thats it.

Never saw the big guys either. I'm pretty sure tougher enemies spawn based on your KO count, that's why it's easier just to knock everyone down and keep the medics alive. I only got up to a few sword guys before Croc jumped in.

This sounds like an awful achievement. I'm not going to knock the guide, but I have news for the author of it. Even some of the best and most dedicated Batman players will never even approach this achievement because of some stupid random attack that mess up their combo forcing them to restart their combo and it will be very difficult to reach 1000000 points. I for one don't think I have the patience to take 45 minutes of my life building up a near insanely unobtainable combo just to trigger Killer Croc and then likely die.

Gozer, don't be over dramatic. It's not that bad. It took me maybe 3 or 4 tries and when I did do it, it was like 20 minutes. Just takes patience and when you're careful in the combat scenarios it becomes pretty easy.

By Fooga on 29 Jan 2016 18:50
It is that bad. Lol. It took me 7 total hours of trial and error to finally do it. It takes a lot of patience and skill, but when you do get it, it only takes a total of like 10-12 minutes tops to get Croc to appear. And Croc is a complete fucking joke, if he kills you then you may as well delete it and never play another Arkham game. A 5 year old could beat him.

By The SCHWARTZ 00 on 29 Jan 2016 19:45
Maybe it's because I went from Curtain Falls (which is way harder) to this. Just building a big combo didn't seem so bad compared to beating 4 waves in a row without losing a combo or getting hit with 4 different characters.

As for this, the ability to grapple constantly and the fact that you basically got a brief period of invincibility while doing it made it seem easy to me.

Just got this one on my first try. Basically the other 2 combat achievements train you for this one. I spent FOREVER trying to get those and once I did, this one was a cake walk. I only used the Bat Claw Slam , Counter, and Weapon Destroy in this one. My method allowed me to get to Croc without having to deal with any brutes. So definitely abuse the Bat Claw Slam, thats the best advice I can give. Good Luck everyone!

what is with the cheap hits? like you jump a guy, land a punch and you get hit in the back before you have a chance to jump again. i understand like okay don't jump into a crowd, but i don't remember this happening as often or even ever in any of the other batman games. i am struggling with all of these achievements because of the cheap hits that i cant possibly avoid or anticipate.

here is a video that shows the 2 problems i am dealing with

https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AAqiFKHTqpDMlQc&ci...

at 7 seconds, i jump a guy and go to hit him, but the controls take me in another direction and it breaks combo. i recover but...

at 13 seconds, i jump a guy and hit him and WHILE I AM HITTING HIM i get slammed in the back by a shield guy. i know shit happens, but this sort of bull shit keeps happening.

By NJStalderXB on 03 Feb 2016 10:27
I got about 940000 points with a 360-370 combo, then I got the last 110000 points after brutes had spawned. So a x500 combo is not really necessary.
0
0
By x SATELE SHAN x on 03 Feb 2016 12:41
I felt that this was much easier when attempting a 500+ combo; it just wasn't worth it to me to try and build a combo once brutes were spawning.

Several times my combo got above 400 but I got hit by a knife guy or ninja. I started prioritizing knife disarming (X+Y) along with shields and tasers. As soon as a ninja would spawn I would perform a takedown (Y+B). With these guys out of the way it was much easier.

Yeah I'm leaning towards curtains being more skill based and requiem a straight out grind. Find that I'll get a combo around 225 with about 300,000 pts and I start to fade out. Hard to concentrate that hard for that long. Need to channel my inner zen or something

am i using the bat claw slam too much? i am seeing brutes way soon, like in the 200 combo range. it is an unbroken combo at that point and i am only doing the batlclaw slam, critical hits, and either disarms or special takedowns.

Beavis Bee - Use X attacks and Y counters until you reach 100x Combo, then start using the Batclaw while also mixing X-Y disarm and Y-B takedown, that's all I did.

Unfortunately batclaw slam is not 100% safe: thugs with shield can still hit you from behind, even during the animation. You might also hit their shield while You are doing a batclaw quickfire action. Again, You could miss a near enemy and your batclaw hit nothing (= combo wil be broken).

By x SATELE SHAN x on 05 Feb 2016 11:25
if you break your combo at any point, restart. Ideally, you want to hit 150 hits by the time you start seeing Shock Stick enemies.

Once you have a 5x hit streak going, Critical Strikes grant you a 3x combo multiplier. ABUSE THIS EARLY IN THE FIGHT. A critical strike is when you hit a thug one time and knock him out. It is vital that you take advantage of this before the weaponized enemies start showing up. That was how I got the achievement. I never even saw the Brutes until after the Croc fight.

By The SCHWARTZ 00 on 05 Feb 2016 20:10
One important thing to note for this achievement is the required score. There's some argument on other forums about whether you need 1, 500, 000 or 1, 050, 000. It's definitely the latter.

You need to get the initial 3 stars for this map, as well as 20 Rival Points. You need 50, 000 to get the 3 stars, and 50, 000 thereafter for every Rival Point. That makes 50, 000 + (20 x 50, 000) = 1, 050, 000.

After you reach the 20th Rival Point, the enemies stop spawning in to replace downed enemies. At this stage, you will need to take out the remaining enemies. After the last enemy is down, Croc will jump into the arena.
0
0
By SpeedForce84 on 05 Feb 2016 22:01
You need 20 rival points (1050000 points) for Killer Croc. Again, You just need a 365-370 combo, not a 500 combo.

Good guide. I just want to fine tune the comments about the "Quick Grappling Hook" move. First off, it's not the Grappling Hook, it's the Batclaw. The "grappling hook" or grapnel gun is what Batman deploys with cn_RB to grapple up to vantage points and to swing among buildings. It is not available in combat challenges.

Second, Batman is invulnerable when firing the Batclaw at electrified enemies, but not when firing it at non-electrified ones. It will always target an electrified enemy when it can, but it won't if, for example, the only one on the map is directly behind you. It's a good idea to quit using the Batclaw if you don't see any electrified enemies in front of you, because A) you don't need it, and B) next thing you know, you'll get hit while using it and the 280x combo you had going will disappear. Also the Batclaw seems to really like brutes/lieutenants, and while clawing them is OK, if you try to slam them, your combo is gone.

The best tips I can give anyone attempting this is... Critical strike is press x and don't press it again until it connects with someone. I didn't realise this until last night and it helps build your combo better than mashing x. Once I got this down getting to 400+ was much easier.

Also you are going to want to get to 400 odd and try and get an environmental takedown x+a which will get you close to the score required. Use x+y on shields and shock batons and when ninjas turn up use x+b on anyone you can. Hope those tips help someone. I know others have said these but these two main points I feel are the most important!

I got this achievement last night. It was my last one. I would just like to add that I have no idea how you got to a million before brutes showed up. Brutes always show up in the 700,000 range for me and so I never would stop there. Plus they are worth more points than regular enemies so why would you stop? Sometimes my batclaw would fuck up but if I evaded over a guy then did it towards an electrified enemy it always worked. Hell I got to 900,000 before I got hit (somewhere in the 400 hundred hits) and then I kept trying by grabbing weapons and just wailing on brutes. Believe in yourselves people, you can do it! And these achievements suck!

Once I finally gave up on effectively hitting the Batclaw quickfire each time, I just skirted around the main group of enemies using basic attacks. Besides the occasional disarm-destroy, instant takedown, and Batclaw debuff, it was like playing a game of pinball! The enemies could barely spawn quickly enough to keep up!

Great guide! Took a few sessions but some of the best tips are the bat claw slam which after jumping over an enemy will make you invulnerable almost every time with rare moments of failure. Another great tip was the timing of just doing critical hits in the beginning by pressing X only once. Once you see an enemy that's electrified use the bat law slam and go back to just critical hits. The faster you raise your multiplier the faster this will be over. The brutes are time sensitive. I was able to unlock croc with just one brute spawning. This achievement is doable but like others have said, be patient and if you lose focus take a break. Great guide and thank you to all those who gave helpful tips on the compliments.

By Chriiistophe on 21 Mar 2016 18:26
@Chriistophe: The spawn step-ups seems to be based either on time or hits/knockouts, rather than score. I tried a method where I used all batclaw takedowns, which only give you 2x per hit (vice 3x for critical hits). Doing this, brutes showed up much earlier than normal when compared to score (as did ninjas, medics, etc).

If this is an issue for you, try to concentrate on 3x critical hits vice 2x batclaw takedowns or 1x special takedowns or weapon breaks (you'll still need to do them, just try to get in 3x crit hits as much as you can)

By JohnnyInterfnk on 30 Mar 2016 02:03
I agree with johnnyInterfnk. New enemies come out after you knock the ones who are out there down. Your're always going to get the same number of each kind of enemy. So, that means you want to maximize your score on the easy enemies before you knock them out and have them replaced by tougher enemies. You do this by getting hits and critical hits on them that don't knock them out. When you do an instant takedown - gadget, combo, or any other kind - you're, in effect, telling the game engine, "That enemy was too easy. Give me a tougher one." That's why you get brutes early when you perform too many takedowns.

Great guide! I keep getting to around the same combo as you (~375-425), except I end up about 100-200k shy of the needed 1,050,000 score... Then the brutes spawn. Any suggestions for racking up the score faster? I seem to be doing the same moves as you, although can't say for sure if all of mine are critical strikes. Suggestions?

This has to be the cheapest achievement I've ever encountered. No matter what strategy I use. There's always a cheap shot that breaks my combo, like an off screen enemy. And the bloody camera just doesn't want to stop spinning.
This achievement isn't about skill, only luck! Ninja gaiden was about skill, this is just stupid. It's a shame really cause this is a fun game. Really enjoyed the campaign and most of the dlc. They've only decided hey this is the last update we'll release for this game, let's make it super annoying and retarded and pretend it's hard and you need skill for it.
I've been playing for this achievement like hrs and hrs, now I've decided to just give up. It doesn't matter how good you are at this. I've had perfect runs, even without using the batclaw, only cheap shots is what makes this game hard, they made it so that you can't avoid getting hit at some point.

I know it's possible, like a 1000 ppl got this so far, it's all about luck! I hate luck based achievements. I love skill based achievements.

You got it all wrong Davo, and I mean no offense. I just got the achievement with 1.5 million score. I did the same thing as I always do, only this time I was lucky not to get hit by a cheap one. There's definitely a luck factor involved man, no matter what you say, some attacks are just unavoidable. They are timed in a way you can't respond. Sure it requires practice to get the rhythm but once you got it down you still need that luck to be on your side...

By SHOTOKANKATANA on 25 Oct 2016 20:40
Just to be clear, all I did is criticals, batclaw for electric goons and disarm shield and batons. I used takedowns only for the brutes. That's what I have been doing all along, I tried other ways too but they never worked. For me brutes always start spawning around 850K. Freeze them build a combo and use a takedown on them. Be careful, they have a fast punch that'll hit you when you can't respond, try to keep m at a distance. Good luck! This achievement sucks ass!

I would also suggest using the disarm and break combo on knives and bats if there aren't shields, stun sticks, or guns out. The reason being is that if you break those things now, you are less likely to accidentally target them when you are really trying to target a shield, stun stick, or gun. Also, it builds up your combo without damaging an enemy so you're less likely to run in to brutes before you get 1,050,000.

I finally got it, but omg the amount of BS you have to endure! I even ended at 970k one time. Good guide though, disarm and jump is definitely key in this one... and PATIENCE.

I will add that it can be benificial to NOT kill medics as they electrify opponents, and as long as you have them around you, you can use your batclaw safely. To me at least, I would be attacked if I batclaw'ed a random guy, it also might target a shield but if it is to remove electricity, you are safe!

Good guide!

One tip that I'm suprized no one mentioned is how to completely eliminate Guns from the map. It's not a deal breaker, but it's one less obstacle to deal with.
Simply, at the start of the match, throw a smoke bomb in the middle of the map, then arm the Disruptor and spin in place while shooting each of the 4 ammo boxes.

Man... I lost my combo right around 1020000 I was wondering when croc would show up. Time to try again. Thankfully this isn't that hard, i keep the medics alive and grapple the shocked enemies to bounce around the map. Hopefully a couple more tries and I'll get this done.

Damn this was tough. The trick with the critical hits really helped me the most and got me super fast to a combo of 350. I didn't use the batclaw much, mostly going for critical hits (x3 instead of x2!). clap

The only issue I have is the game's incessant need to slow Batman to a crawl whenever someone is throwing a punch at him with a counter indicator. So many lost combos to people I should have had all the time in the world to hit but the game decides to slow him down for whatever reason.

Whole lot of horseshit here.... I don’t mind the challenge one bit and was really looking forward to doing this and the other 2 hard ones. But, I’ve got thugs sliding across the damn floor to punch me and the counter marking disappearing for no apparent reason, to name a couple of problems. Seriously though, they didn’t think things through at all when making this achievement. The Freeflow system is fantastic, but it’s challenges like this that highlight its flaws and that’s not a good thing. I’m gonna keep attempting this, but please post any other tips you may have in addition to the ones posted above.

Yeah the critical strike thing helped me, take advantage of the beginning by getting to at least about 125-150 in the first couple minutes, this gives you a huge boost. Another thing that helps is having the x5 takedown instead of the x8 upgrade.

@V Pustote, it sounds like you're hitting X late. Instead of completing the batclaw slam, you're throwing a regular punch because the chance to do a batclaw slam expired. I haven't played in a while, but I think you press X as soon as you see that the batclaw has found a suitable target (e.g., not a brute). If you see the enemy stagger after the claw hits him, you were too slow.

I lost my combo around 980k. I had to face multiple brutes, and the enemies didn't stop spawning until around 1200k. Luckily your health refills once Croc enters.
I recommend using a variety of different moves/takedowns. That seems to get you more points.

I'd like to add that the electric boxes around the level will do 100 points. So when you get 200 multiplier and hit one that's 20,000 right there and doesn't take away your meter for special. But have to be careful because enemies may not be close and you'll lose your combo due to people being out of reach. I recommend if you try for the boxes do it around the 200 multiplier mark before things get to crazy. If you get all 4 around that mark that's at least 80k alone. Just remember that the enemies will be spread out after you do the move so will need to get close again by doing the batclaw move.

"Take breaks and don't get frustrated", this may be the best guide for all games. Repeated failures gradually shattered my confidence and made me extremely irritable, I chose to give myself a break, when I picked up the controller again and adjusted my mentality, I succeeded🤪. A good mentality is the key to your success.

Everything recommended is easy enough to follow and do, you just have to pray that you get a run where not a single thing goes wrong.

I managed to get 300k without really focusing after not playing for hours. Then when I really focused and tried hard I couldn’t seem to get past 50k! Accept this will take a long time. RIP to all the broken controller out there because of this one.

Holy Belibus, I did it. Took around 10 hours or so, the worst part was around my 3rd attempt I actually got to 980k or something like that and got hit and couldn’t continue because just past a mill the Titans/Brutes showed up. It then took me numerous hours of trying to get a million again.

Something that I didn't realize was if you press x for your next attack right as your current attack connects you will do a critical strike which will add 3x to your combo per strike. Doing that I was able to get to 140 where I had previously gotten 100 and 500 where I had previously gotten 350.

slaved for hours on ps4 to get this, took me years of retrying this level but Im convinced that it builds your skill on the combat system of this game. It's been months since I got this on psn and now that I got the game for free on PC, I decided to give it a shot...within maybe ten tries I got it again on steam and it was actually harder considering I didn't have the disarm special. Now I just need this achievement on Xbox.

Took about three days on and off of practice but finally got it. Once your combo is up around 250-300 every takedown is worth about 10k. Just a matter of getting rid of the weapons and avoiding/taking down ninjas so they didn’t ruin the combo.

I recommend everyone not to fight, instead use the hook, hook, hook, takedown trick. If you do this, in less than 15 minutes you'll have more than a million points. I consider myself a good fighter and the most I could do without this trick is 800 thousand

What a nightmare this was for me. I'm not the most skilled at this game so it took me a while. All of the tips here are great.
Before attempting this make sure you are pretty chill. Another tip what worked for me was I turned the music off in the game, put some headphones in my controller and had Spotify blasting, make sure to turn the volume down a tad so you can still here some prompts like the beeping sound for guns etc. You can definitely do it if i can. Try and ignore your score too. I didn't realise i got over a million as I kinda zoned out then panicked when I spotted it, losing my combo. Thankfully I was already at the threshold for Killer Croc to spawn. Hope this helps

Are you reading these comments because you're sure this is impossible? I promise you it isn't. You might feel like you're a long way off, but the multiplier system makes the higher numbers much closer than they feel - my first time out of the 500,000s, I got to the million about 90 seconds later.

The best tip from these comments is to be chill! You play so much better when you're relaxed, so if you're swearing at every electrified jerk who just poked you and screaming at the game to stop lying about the counter you just missed, it's time to put the controller down and do something else. You can do this, but not when you're raging. Practice little and often, and you'll get there.

One thing that worked for me was to ignore Special Combo takedowns early on and instead absolutely hammer the combo counter boost for critical hits. If this is maxed out in your WayneTech upgrades, you get +3 for every strike attack, so you can build your multiplier so much quicker than the normal rhythm of dodging your way through a couple of strikes/counters followed by a Special Combo. Make hay while the sun shines and the early enemies are simple, and you should get up to x100 with little effort on almost every run.

Watch out for the chargers and take them out with a quick batarang each time, but otherwise your focus until the first medic appears should be on strikes and dodging with the occasional counter to get out of a sticky situation. Avoid knife attacks with a dodge every time. Never attempt a knife counter, the timing is too easy to mess up. Medic 1 seems to appear around x65 - x75 combo.

Once medics are on the field, be sure to quick batclaw every single electrified enemy as soon as you can, but don't actually take out the medics if you can avoid it. Why, you ask? I think (please correct me) that their limited charges for revives also extends to limited charges for electrifying enemies. They max out at about 5-6 medics on the field and I'm sure the flow of electrified enemies seemed to dry up eventually. Either way, apart from electrifying, they are less dangerous than a regular thug, and it's fewer available slots in the mob for ninjas, prods, and shields.

The first prod and shield appear together at about x95-100, and you should Disarm and Destroy their weapons ASAP. Don't just Takedown them and leave the weapon for someone else to pick up. Destroy the prods and shields with extreme prejudice! Once ninjas show up somewhere in the x160-180 range, you should Special Combo Takedown them as a priority action. Somewhere between these two points, I would smoothly transition between the 'quick critical strikes' strategy, and the more traditional 'Special Combo at every opportunity' rhythm. By x300, you should definitely make use of every Special Combo chance you get.

Keep dodging, keep calm, keep practicing little and often. You've got this.

Let me count the ways: breaking the incorrect weapon due to camera angle, countering icon goes away if mob end up being too far away, hitting medics by accident due to camera angle, takedown reg mobs instead of ninjas, targeting the non-electric guy due to camera angle, and not being able to evade properly. I'm just glad this is done.

A positive thing is once you get to Croc, it is real easy. Just focus on evading and doesn't even matter if you lose your hit streak; just kill mobs and dual takedown asap. Getting to 1050000 will be the hardest part.

A few tips from a pro. At the start you can throw a smoke bomb at the ground and pull out the disruptor and shoot the crates. Also don’t use takedowns at all just focus on keeping the combo up and disarming shields and stun sticks. You need to be fast as ideally you want to do it before the brutes spawn. If you’re feeling overwhelmed just spam evade it’s a good way to think about next steps. I found if you get around a 250 combo but get hit you’re ok but anything under I would just restart. I managed to do it flawless with a 500 hit combo but this wasn’t easy. Just keep at it and with some practice you’ll get it eventually

My thoughts: this achievement is only doable when you're warmed up. Work on some of the other achievements you don't already have (if any), or refamiliarize yourself with the cadence of combat with some other challenges. You can't go into this one stressed or angry. You genuinely have to enter a flow state in your mind. Tune out everything and just keep hitting X.

Well, I did curtain falls and back alley already, only this one to go. Yesterday I got to 500.000 twice and lost my combo, but I was really tired from the other 2 maps. I hope it's easier than Curtain Falls, because the end of Curtain Falls is a HUGE pain in the ass. I can't even count how many times I got hit when there were only less than 10 enemies left, you have to REALLY take it slow and position yourself.

From what I saw yesterday, it's a lot harder to get hit on this map, my main problem is the onslaught of medics they throw at you. Not that I'm getting hit by the eletric guys or them, but it's a pain in the ass to go from side to side of the arena killing medics all the time. Other than that, those fuckers revive other medics too to make things exponentially worse fast.

DJ8407 - I know the feeling, the Batclaw will fire into the middle of no where, enemies will hit you while you're in the middle of a Counter Attack, enemies will become electrified mid attack, Counter Attack won't work, Attacks the air and loses the Combo, so much buggy goodness to be had, I assumed it took skill to unlock this Achievement, but I feel like I need some serious luck aswell. roll

The key is to build up your combo very early before the weapon enemies come into play. Keep in mind you get a 3x multiplier when you get a critical strike (hitting an enemy with the X button one time after you've built up a 5 hit combo). You want to abuse that critical strike to where you have a 100-150 hit combo before you see multiple Shield/shock stick guys.

Also don't forget to toss out Batarangs once in a while. Often you will hit multiple targets and it will help build your multiplier quicker.

i am not touching Y, only using X for critical strikes (and getting x20 confirmed). i use the batlcaw slam (LT+Y, X) A LOT. when i have my special, i have tried 2 different methods: 1. favoring disarm and destroy (X+Y) on everything and using only special takedown (Y+B) on ninjas and 2. using special takedown (Y+B) whenever i can and using disarm and destroy (X+Y) only on shields. both methods are getting me to about 400,000 in score, somewhere in the 200 combo range. i am not breaking the combo at all. and then the brutes spawn and i manage for a bit before something happens. wtf.

Finally knocked this one out, super pumped about it! Just to encourage those who may be struggling, I got hit around 720,000 and Brutes had already shown up for me. I just played it safe and kept fighting, using Evade and the grapple as much as possible and saving my Take Downs for the Brutes. It seemed like the Brutes only needed one Take Down, not two, for a while after they started appearing, but that could be related to the type of Brute I was fighting (Penguin vs Arkham Knight).

Thanks for all the tips on this one, they definitely helped.

For the people who are saying Curtain Falls is harder than this achievement like Fooga that made me laugh thanks. Curtain Falls destroyed my soul yes, but you have a set number of enemies unlike this achievement. Plus you don't have electrified guys. This one requires impeccable concentration for a very long time and lots of luck because of the random anomalies that happen quite often. The best I've ever done in this challenge combo wise is about 150ish before some rando hits me. I tried to stick it out and got back to about 100 and got hit again. 150K was around my best score. You can argue that building a big combo is easier than not getting hit by 50 guys in Curtain Falls, but I firmly disagree because of the cheap shots that are basically unblockable and impossible to predict. 400-500 is basically never going to happen for me and probably lots of other people. Congrats to the peeps who got it though.

Anyone still playing this?

The Batclaw Slam doesn't work for me. I can't quite figure it out. I can get it to work when I don't have a combo built up. But as soon as I start getting a combo going, if I press the normal button combination (LT + Y), he throws something that knocks down like three people and then I hit punch (X) to complete the Batclaw slam and instead he jumps out and hits air or worst hits someone that is electrified or something stupid.

What is going on? I can't do Batclaw Slam.

It seems if I do a weapon break (X + Y) or special move (Y + B), then I can do Batclaw Slam again. Either way, I don't plan on attempting this until I know how to use Batclaw Slam properly without error.

I also abused aerial attacks if you do it on a shield youre invincible like the batclaw. This was only when i would see a guy with a shield isolated and the stun attack will lock onto him.

Man is this one tough. Probably spent about 4 hours total across two days just practicing this one to finally get it. The batclaw takedown method works wonderfully, just keep the medics alive so they keep shocking people and you can use the batclaw as a buffer any given time, and use disarm on all the stun guns and shields. I threw in some B + Y takedowns and got to the million mark at around a 400x combo, well before any brutes showed up. You just have to practice it over and over to get the feel and flow of enemies, there’s certainly no way you can get this on your first handful of attempts in my opinion

RYU KHAL NL luck is when something is random, like the spin of a roulette wheel or the draw of a card. Luck is when the game applies a random number generator to decide whether you win or lose. This isn't like that. This isn't a game of chance. It doesn't involve luck.

If you're following the advice to do takedowns sparingly and instead concentrate on critical strikes, you shouldn't be getting brutes until you're almost at the goal.

As for the Batclaw slam, I've seen so much wrong advice written about it in the comments here and in other solutions. To restate what I wrote above, it should only be used IF there is an electrified enemy that it can find (doesn't have to be right in front of you, but can't be directly behind you either), and if there is NOT a brute/lieutenant on the screen. DO NOT USE THE BATCLAW if there is a brute or if there aren't any electrified enemies in Batman's field of vision. I have a feeling this is where these "cheap shots" are coming from.

This is a great solution, I was about to say the same stuff once I read the other one.

I would also like to add if you are not great at this, or even if you are, keep it simple. All you really need to do is punch cn_X , counter cn_Y, special takedown cn_Y + cn_B and weapon destroy special cn_X + cn_Y. Every time you get a X 5 multiplier (3 hits if you are timing well) use your special takedown, it has decent points and it makes you invincible. Push your stick towards enemies that you are worried about and always medics first! Using special takedowns every 3-5 hits gives you a very good score as long as you don't break your combo and it means every few hits you don't have to worry, you will have time to work out your next move. Just keep it simple, forget about variety and gadget variety bonus points you don't need them at all.

If you struggle with your counters Jump with A instead. As long as you keep jumping over an enemy your combo won't ever break. You can jump once without going over an enemy as long as you do any move straight after including jumping over an enemy. If you jump twice without going over an enemy your combo will break. You can effectively jump over an enemy, punch, then jumping and punching forever without breaking your combo and you shouldn't be able to get hit but it will take forever. It is an option.

Also in regards to the weapon destroy special, I would recommend if you are comfortable enough to destroy every weapon you can. Once destroyed weapons will not come back and if you leave them enemies will keep picking them up until nearly every enemy has one. Once destroyed the only new weapons will be with new enemies carrying them and if you keep destroying them it's quite manageable.

You will need to be upgraded to get your special every time the multiplier is X 5, if not it's X 8. I'm assuming anyone attempting this will be completely upgraded, atleast in combat. If not, go do it, then come back! :)

Great solution Scorch! Sorry for my huge comment!

Something else - the idea to use the cn_X+cn_Y and cn_LT+cn_Y takedowns is good. That helps to neutralise a lot of the problematic enemy types.

It's also important at the beginning of the fight to start using special takedowns (cn_Y + cn_B) as early as possible. The sooner you eliminate an enemy, the less of a problem you'll have with being overwhelmed. It also awards more points to do a combo takedown than to wait until you've hit them enough times for a regular strike attack (cn_X) to knock an enemy out.

Also important, avoid waiting for the ninjas and knife-wielding enemies to attack to do a Blade Dodge Takedown. By the time that the blade-wielding enemies drop in, it's not worth the risk that your combo will get broken. Destroy the knives as soon as the enemies spawn, and do a combo takedown on the ninjas.

I disagree about the skill Davo. I consider myself fairly good at this game. I can keep my combo up to when the brutes spawn most of the time. And without to much trouble. But even when you are good you'll still get hit by unavoidable attacks. Especially the brutes, they time their attack so they hit you as soon as you finish, for instance, the batclaw slam animation just before you're able to double tap a to evade or press y to counter.

The skill part is only 25% the other 75 is all about luck. I'm sure if I stay on it I'll get this soon enough, it's not like I'm screaming at this or getting frustrated. I'm perfectly chilled and focused when I try this.

I just feel it's an very unfair achievement because you can't practice to avoid unavoidable attacks by off screen enemies.

I have tried every single tactic or way I have seen from other players, over and over again. For hrs and hrs, and my conclusion is that's its mostly luck based.

Rocksteady Batman AK development final team session:

Team member (TM ) 1: “Hey guys, what should set as the achievements for the last challenge pack for Batman AK?” Since this is probably the last game in the franchise, how can we reward these gamers, who over the past few years have faithfully played our games (including the Arcade one), and paid their hard earned dollars for our terribly repetitive DLC?
TM 2: “We need to make some that will cause the gamer to be truly immersed in Batman’s world.”

TM 1: How can we accomplish this? Give the gamer a fun, challenging experience with classic villain battles and innovative bat tech?
TM 2: What? No. Being the Batman is about being angry – “angry in your bones” (Robin - TDKR). And his number one nemesis is the Joker – a foe who is completely psychotic and insane. That’s where we need to go with these achievements. We will reward our faithful consumers by taking them to a soul shattering level of anger and to the brink insanity with horribly difficult achievements. We will make them so hard that it would actually be easier to become Batman for real than to earn these achievements. Then, and only then, will we have given gamers a true Batman experience.
TM 1: That sounds awesome!

Thanks Rocksteady, thank you so much.

Hopefully my bat gadget elite controller will help when I get after this in a few days...

The key for me was never kill medics. Let them revive worthless thugs so you can knock them out multiple times for easy early combos and as others have said, once they electrify guys, your grapple is auto target instant safety across the map which is added to the fight right when you are getting swarmed and its too difficult to stand up fight everyone at once.

Always always always take out shield guys with the destroy equipment. If you try and do the double tap a pounce on them and either target the guy next to him, they will always bash you, or if you target the shield guy, you are left open too long on recovery and some one else will just pick up the shield or you get the classic as someone said before, guy who punches on ice skates across the map to ruin your combo. For whatever reason, the shield bash doesnt give as much invincibility as a regular dodge at the beginning.

Keep it simple, just attack, destroy equipment, dodge to safety to buy yourself a second, and dont be afraid to use instant takedown to buy yourself time as that will take priority over almost anything.

I was able to get the achivement cheesing the medics reviving guys for more easy targets and got croc to spawn around the time that the ninjas showed up. The second they did were instant take down targets over anything else because they add too much speed and different types of counters to worry about too far into the progress. This was for me a lot easier than the other two challenges in the alley and theatre because of equipment destroy that batman has that the other characters dont.

Finally got this, and I agree with everything that ScorchPSO says:

- Definitely disarm (cn_X+cn_Y) the shield and electric baton guys instead of using your combo to take them down. Guys with clubs don't really matter. If you run out of people to disarm THEN use your normal takedown (cn_B+cn_Y).
- Spam the grappling hook takedown (cn_LT+cn_Y then cn_X) as a way to get your combo up for takedowns or disarming. Don't hold left trigger too long or it'll trigger something different.
- Spam the dodge button (cn_Acn_A) as well, you can usually dodge twice without losing your combo, but stick to one if you can.
- During the disarming, takedown, or grappling hook animations take the time to gather your thoughts, refocus, and plan your next move.

I didn't pay too much attention to the guns, if you can't disarm them then just kick the guys or tap cn_LT real quick and that will stagger them for plenty of time. I also think it's possible to get the score you need even if you get hit as long as you have a decent head start (~500K), but your second half will also need to be all in one combo. If you get hit twice then yeah your chances are slim-to-none, but even then you still may want to keep going so you can practice on the later waves of enemies.

The achievement will pop when you hit the last co-op takedown to kill Croc, but enemies will continue to spawn as the room is technically endless.

It still took me several hours, but here's the video of when I finally got it (you can see I hit 1 mil at around 394, but at about 300 you semi-regularly get 10K for every 1 guy you take down):

Not sure what you mean. Enemies will come forever, yes, even after killing Croc, but you only need to kill Croc for the achievement (it'll pop right as you start the last co-op combo on him). I'll amend the guide to say so.

Great guide! A couple questions:

1) how do you change skins, as suggested in this guide?

2) I keep getting to around the same combo as you (~375-425), except I end up about 100-200k shy of your score... Then the brutes spawn. Any suggestions for racking up the score faster? I seem to be doing the same moves as you, although can't say for sure if all of mine are critical strikes. Suggestions?

You change skins at the main menu, in the gallery itself if I remember, I think it was cn_X to equip.

As for scoring faster I'm not sure, for the most part I was just doing anything I could not to break my combo. Typical score multipliers are using different takedowns and/or different gadgets, if you're not scoring as high you might be using too many of the same move. I can't say for sure because that's essentially what I did (used the moves I mentioned in the guide over and over), but if you're getting to the brutes without breaking your combo then you have the basics, probably just keep at it!

I'd consider myself to be above average but I wouldn't say insanely elite. I completed the other Arkham games too (minus Origins) and I will say that none of it compared to this achievement, that's definitely true. It still took me days of practicing before I finally started making progress, but yes I'd also agree that not everybody can do it. The thing that did help me the most was to just continue playing rather than restart whenever I got hit, the bigger gameplay loop doesn't happen until the right combination of enemies is on-screen, those enemies being the ones that are on-screen the longest (before the big guys start spawning). And I'll also say that I've probably never hated the series more than the moments leading up to this achievement, it's incredibly frustrating, and I also think the game itself isn't blameless, i.e. they really do ask too much with this achievement and the game isn't 100% up to it so you end up fighting it a bit when you shouldn't have to. I guess that's where you can say the luck comes in.

So good luck!

I appreciate the guide, but frankly it is meaningless for most of us. I've played every Batman Arkham game ever and trudged through all the challenges before and gotten every single achivement in the series (except MP cheevos in Origins), but I will maintain this achievement is unobtainable to all but the most insanely elite Batman players. I've never in all my days of playing Batman even remotely approached a 400 hit combo. I think it takes a little luck and a lot of skill because of all the random anomalies that tend to happen. I have been working on this for weeks hours with hours dedicated and the best I get to is 150 or so on the combo. I'm good, but I feel not nearly good enough or lucky enough to get this. It's a good guide though I bet it felt great to hear it pop.

Hello Guys. I found a video showing a very simple strategy that can makes things easier and less frustrating. I got the achievement at first attempt right after watching it so it works really well considering that I was unable to go over x280 combo before finding this solution, which is very similar to the one shared by II The Beard II (thank you too man!). Before starting, I take no credit for this strategy and/or the video so if you watch and find it helpful please put a like on youtube for this awesome guy! rock Now let's start

1- You reach about x100 combo fighting normally, just basic attacks and counter-attacks
2- Once you reach it, you spam your best friend...Batclaw slam cn_LT+cn_Y followed by cn_X and you combine it with Special combo disarm and destroy cn_X+cn_Y to take care of shields and shock weapons
3- When you reach nearly x300 combo counter Ninjas start spawning so start using special combo take-down (cn_B+cn_Y) to get rid of them and keep spamming the best friend mentioned before (batclaw slam).
4-YOUR GOAL IS NEAR, keep focusing and occasionally use special combo take down on medics. When you reach about 1.050.000 points enemies stop spawning and once you take all the left ones down killer croc joins the battle. It's quiet simple to take him down especially if you have already played the DLC season of infamy.

For people who prefer watching instead of reading here's the video

Well a couple of brutes spawned for me too but I was already at the end so it wasn't an issue. My suggestion is to fight in the most flowing way possible and try being as fast as you can especially in the first part since it's just about attack and counter attack. Don't spend too much time dodging (2x cn_A), instead spam batclaw slam especially when there're the electrified guys and you should be ok :)

I consider myself to be average to slightly above average as far as maintaining freeflow in this game, and this guide helped me the most. Thumbs up from me. The only thing I would add is to start throwing in some special combo take-downs earlier on against the regular enemies when there are no shields or stun batons and prior to the ninjas. I personally started doing them late in your phase 1 and in your phase 2. This gives the benefit of slowing down the action to plan your next move, and higher scores than the batclaw slam and basic/critical strike, and the quicker you get your score up the quicker you get to the easy part of taking out Killer Croc.

This achievement sucks. Great guide for it tho. I ended up having to try REALLY hard not to KO the medics. I had a near constant stream of electrified guys going at the end. Between doing a special takedown on the ninjas and doing a dodge roll inbetween everything it gave the medics enough time to zap some more people.

Worst part is that even tho this is the best method, I cant tell you how many times I messed up by throwing a batarang instead. Got to a point that if I did that, just to guarantee I didnt break the streak, I used a special takedown on the nearest person to recover.

Both SCORCHPSO and II Beard II give excellent pointers. There are several other tips that made this "easier" for me

1. Use normal take-downs sparingly. They only count as one strike to your combo streak and you will have to land a few blows before you can deliver critical strikes.
2. Critical strikes are worth x3! It is very important to take advantage of this until the first medic appears and gives soldiers electric protection. Also mastering perfect counters will increase you combo number.
3. Your target score to get 1,000,050, and that means reaching a combo number around 400 give or take 20. Doing so will allow you to activate the Croc sequence long before brutes show up and you will have all or most of your health when dealing with him. So if you are hit or you combo is broken before you get to a million, you might be better off restarting.
4. Don't take-down the medics! Sounds crazy I know, but if you allow them to revive fallen soldiers it gives you more time to build up your combo before ninjas show up.
5. Make sure your camera angle is facing the direction of the people you are punching or grappling because you don't wan't to hit the wrong target or accidentally use the wrong gadget and break your streak.
6. Master dodge to get yourself out of tight spots and remember that you can use it twice in a row without breaking your combo. You don't want multiple enemies with electricity, car doors, or stun sticks too close to you. Sometimes their hits will land even if you dodge them.
7. Car door and stun stick wielding enemies normally appear in pairs so if you see one expect the other soon. These along with the electricity soldiers are your primary concern. Soldiers with electricity are the most aggressive that you will deal with, so they should be grappled as soon as you see them Take them down then focus on the others.
8. The best time to use those normal take-downs are when the ninjas start showing up. You don't want too many of them around trying to slash you. At this point your combo should be around 300. You need to really focus and realize that you're about two minutes or 40-50 hits from getting to the main event.
9. Make sure to have done the Croc fight before because the one at the end of the initial waves indicates when to press Y but not when to strike with X. (Although it is fairly obvious.)

Hope this helps you reach your goal of getting this challenging yet gratifying achievement! It may not be the hardest in the entire Arkham series, but it's up there.
P.S. I did this while blasting The Rise theme from TDKR. Helped me get in the Batman mood. smile

This was a particularly tough trophy for me, and this guide will be aimed at those who are average or below at the fighting in this game.

First off, Croc won't show up until you have roughly 1,050,000 points. Basically, once you get 3 stars you need to earn 20 rival points (1 rival point = 50K points for this map). Once Croc starts to activate the endless spawning will stop and you must clear out the arena. At this point, Nightwing joins the foray, and this is basically the same exact fight as the one in Season of Infamy. If you have not played Season of Infamy, taking down Croc is rather simple; create combos on regular enemies to fill your dual takedown meter, press cn_L1 to initiate a dual takedown on croc. Repeat this 4 times followed by a couple of sequences of rapidly pressing cn_S while occasionally pressing cn_T to dodge, and you've done it. Now the tricky party, getting enough points for Croc to appear.

It sounds daunting but you need to get a combo of roughly 400 going from the start to make this possible. If you get hit anywhere before that number, restart. The idea is to get the required number of points, or very close to it before the brutes show up. A combo of 400 should net you somewhere around 950K points; at this point if you accidentally break your combo, you'll be able to get to the 1,050,000 either right before the brutes show up, or very shortly after. Once the brutes show up it becomes way more difficult than necessary to try and manage the ninjas and the brutes while keeping a combo.

How to do it? 3 moves: cn_S , cn_L2+cn_T > cn_S, and cn_S+cn_T.

The idea is to amass as many points as you can, with as few enemies knocked out as possible. I used to think the brutes spawned based on a timer, but it in my experience, it seems tied to how many enemies you've KO'd. So, unless you absolutely have to, to get out of a jam, avoid using the cn_T+cn_O takedown.

In the beginning you'll be going for critical strikes with cn_S to build up your combo meter quickly, thus getting you more points quicker. Once the number of enemies becomes difficult to manage, you're basically going to spam the cn_L2+cn_T > cn_S move. This gives you a few frames of invincibility, and can be spammed endlessly. As your combo builds, use the weapon break takedown cn_S+cn_T, to take out shields, knifes, guns, and shock batons. This move, adds to your combo meter, removes dangerous combo breaking weapons from play, and doesn't KO the enemy in one hit. You will basically spend most of your time spamming cn_L2+cn_T > cn_S and breaking weapons when possible.

Doing this is relatively safe, and will get you to Croc with most, if not all of your armor and health. A few tips:

- On occasion you will need to use the counter button. If after you perform the cn_L2+cn_T > cn_S, there is still someone near you with the counter indicator above their head, you will not be able to perform that move in time without getting hit. You will need to either counter cn_T, or evade with cn_X+cn_X.

- Avoid targeting the ninjas with cn_L2+cn_T > cn_S; it almost never works on them and isn't worth risking it breaking your combo. You can usually work your way around them, but you may have to use the cn_T+cn_O takedown to clear a few out. They're excellent at breaking your combo from across the damn arena.

- Leave the medics alive! That's counter-intuitive to normal gameplay, but they revive people for you to build your combo bigger, and electrify thugs continuously. This is beneficial as your batclaw should almost always auto-target the electrified people first, reducing your chances of accidentally targeting a shielded guy/shock baton guy/ninjas and breaking your combo.

- If necessary, you can almost endlessly use cn_X+cn_X to re position yourself if necessary. As long as you are hopping over someone, it'll keep your combo going.

After a ridiculous amount of failed attempts at doing this "legit," with this method I was able to do it after a dozen or so tries. Good luck!

After finally beating this achievement as well, I would like to add one or two more things that really helped me.

But first, the most important tips from the previous guides, please read those too for more details!

Abuse the quickfire Batclaw cn_LT+cn_Y and destroy enemy weapons like stun batons, riot shields and guns by pressing cn_X+cn_Y. I'd say riot shields and guns are the most dangerous. No need to destroy bats and knives.

Keep medics alive. Don't knock anyone out except ninjas by pressing cn_Y+cn_B. Don't get hit, restart if you do.

---

Now here are a few of my own tips that helped me a lot:

Don't counter and get away from the crowds!
I found this challenge to be much easier when I just stopped trying to counter thugs and just kept spamming cn_LT + cn_Y and evaded by double tapping cn_A when multiple counter symbols showed up after performing the quick Batclaw. Don't even risk getting hit by a superfast ninja or unfair shield-bash and simply evade out of the danger zone.

Try using the environmental takedowns on the high-voltage boxes when the ninjas spawn! This could save your ass, as it saved mine. Especially later on, when the ninjas spawn in and you have a high combo of at least 200+, the environmental takedowns will give you so many easy points! Just be careful when executing it, your target will be highlighted in blue. That's when you'll press cn_X+cn_A. I recommend training environmental takedowns in a different AR-challenge map if you are not sure how they work.

Stay calm! And don't get frustrated. Trust me, this is a fairly hard achievement and it will get worse when you get nervous and angry. So I turned off the music in the game (even though it's amazing) and put on my own favorite music. This relaxed me and I was able to stay much calmer, try it! I actually did it as soon as I used my own music. Also, better don't try it when you are tired and take your time, no need to rush this one.

You need to reach 1,050,000 points for Killer Croc to spawn. As soon as you pass this number, GONGRATS! The rest will be a walk in the parks as long as you just stay concentrated and don't die. No new thugs will spawn and you just have to defeat those that are left.

And the comes Killer Croc! The good news is: He's really damn easy. Nightwing will join the fight and you just have to evade his red charge attacks, which you can't counter. Do 3 or 4 of those co-op takedowns with Nightwing. After that he's finished, and the challenge will continue. There's no need to continue though, as the achievement should pop right after he's gone!

This achievement is a really mean one, but if you exploit the Batclaw, destroy equipment, use the environment and stay calm and concentrated, you'll eventually beat it! Good luck!

First thing's first, on this combat map, enemies will continuously spawn into the arena as you continue to take out thugs. Thus, there are no "individual" rounds. At the start, it's just a few unarmed hostiles, then it gets increasingly difficult over time, in this order:

  • Stun Baton, shield bearing thugs, and Medics who revive and "electrify" their buddies, will begin to spawn in after a while
  • Eventually, Ninjas will join the fight
  • Later on, thugs will begin opening the weapon crates to use guns
  • Finally, Brutes will join the mayhem

Now in order to face off against Killer Croc, you will need to obtain 20 Gotham's Greatest points...or in other terms, achieve a score of 1,050,000. Once you've reached this score, enemies will stop spawning into the arena, which means you'll have to wipe out anyone who's left at that time. Once the ring is cleared, Croc will jump in (as will Nightwing) and a Dual Play encounter will ensue similar to Killer Croc's boss fight in his Season of Infamy DLC mission.

Take note that while you will regain any lost health once Croc joins the fray, your armor will not replenish. On top of this, Batman and Nightwing share the same vitals. Remember to dodge the villain's attacks while beating up the thugs that join the fight as a means of building up the Dual Play Takedown meter. After 4 Dual Takedowns, the next 2 will be a quick-time event in which you counter Croc's swings and perform Beat Downs (X repeatedly). Once Croc is defeated, the achievement will unlock and the fight will carry on.

This achievement requires a tremendous amount of skill. In what seems to be an impossible feat, the only plausible way to obtain the 1,050,000 point requirement is to obtain a 450+ hit combo. That means as soon as the round starts, you can never allow your combo to break either by self error (accidentally countering when no one is attacking) or by getting hit. Even if you lose your combo at 290x, and think it's okay to carry on and amass another 290+ hit combo, it simply won't work that way.

There's no other way around it: You must achieve a 450+ hit combo and never have it fall.

Now there are over a dozen combat tips worth sharing for this achievement. A massive thanks to Batman Arkham Videos, Duke of Darkness, ScorchPSO, WACKY WOOKIEE, and AgentGinger419 for all the insight.

Basic Combat Tips

  • Evading/Leapfrogging (A+A)
    • Abuse it. This move will be your best friend. You will jump over the heads of your enemies, giving you time to survey the arena and pan the camera around to where you need it to be. When you land, act quickly and make your next move so your combo doesn't break.
  • Countering (Y)
    • Don't neglect the basics of countering an enemy attack when the blue "counter" icon appears over their head. Don't try to strike back or you'll just get hit and lose your combo. Counter their attack, or in the worst case scenario, leapfrog away.
  • Striking (X)
    • Know who to strike and who not to strike. Medics and standard thugs (unarmed or gun wielding) can be hit without worry. Shield bearing thugs cannot be hit, and neither can Stun Baton wielding thugs (from the front). If you want to strike a Stun Baton thug, leap over their head, then strike them in the back. Ninjas will leap away the minute you try striking them from the front, so like Stun Baton thugs, get them from the back. Lastly, avoid striking Brutes entirely.

General Advice/Guidelines

  • At a 100x combo, you want to try to have your score at around 50k.
  • At a 200x combo, you want to have your score sit between 180k and 200k.
  • After you get a 300x combo, stop worrying about your score; stay focused and don't let that combo drop.
  • Once you have a 200+ combo, stop using Batman's Disarm completely and start using his Combat Takedown (B+Y) every single time it's available as it nets 10k+ points.
  • At a 250+ combo, use the four generators on the outside of the ring to get Environmental Takedowns (A+X near the generator when an enemy is highlighted in blue).
  • When Brutes spawn into the ring, throw a quickfire Freeze Bomb (RT,RT) as it automatically locks on and freezes one Brute in place for a little while.
  • You want to try and have your score at 850k+ before the Brutes start spawning into the fight, otherwise it gets to difficult and hectic.
  • If you can manage it, pick up dropped baseball bats (A+X) when your meter allows for it; baseball bat strikes can penetrate anything including shields, Brutes, Shock Batons, and electrified enemies. Spam it until it breaks.
  • The moment your combo breaks, restart the challenge right away. Never carry on. The only instance you may want to attempt to carry on is if it breaks at around a score of 950k or higher.

Gadget + Enemy Variant Tips

  • Standard Thugs
    • At the outset, you have nothing to worry about with the standard thugs. The key here is to get critical hits by striking the enemies with perfect pacing.
    • Critical hits add 3x to your combo, rather than 1x.
    • You will want to try and hit a 100x combo at around 50,000 points before the majority of the Medics, Shield, and Stun Baton enemies spawn in.
  • Medics
    • When the Medics join the fight, they will begin to revive fallen hostiles and "electrify" other thugs.
    • You must perform a Batclaw Slam (LT + Y, then X) to disable their electricity field.
    • The Batclaw attack will automatically gravitate to any electrified enemies and you are completely invincible to attacks during the animation
    • Get rid of these electrified enemies as soon as you see them, and don't worry about Medics reviving fallen hostiles (seriously, don't worry about that).
  • Shields and Stun Batons
    • Enemies who wield Stun Batons cannot be struck from the front; you will need to leapfrog over them to hit them in the back.
    • You should prioritize using Batman's Disarm attack (X+Y) to break their batons.
    • Alternatively, you can use the quickfire REC (LT+B) to knock them to the ground as it will make them drop their batons.
    • Shielded thugs are a hassle, and cannot be struck from the front or the back.
    • Avoid contact with them all together unless you are performing a Disarm attack as a means of breaking their shields.
    • Alternatively, you can perform an Aerial attack (B+A+A) to strike them; you are completely safe during the animation when doing this to shielded thugs, but you are vulnerable to hits when doing this on standard thugs.
  • Ninjas and Gunmen
    • If you're comfortable performing Blade Dodge Takedowns against ninjas, then by all means, do so as they net a lot of points.
    • If you're rusty or feel as though it will mess you up, avoid a ninja's strikes entirely by leapfrogging over or away from them.
    • Gunmen aren't too bad and the camera will automatically snap to them as they are reloading and getting ready to fire their weapon.
    • When the camera snaps, your next strike will always gravitate towards them.
    • If you quickfire a Batarang (LT+LT) at this "camera snapping" moment, it will always gravitate towards them and knock them down.
  • Brutes
    • Brutes will spawn into the fight very late and hopefully you have the needed score before ever seeing too many, or any at all.
    • Their attack speed is insane and their attack range/reach is dangerously long.
    • You need to avoid contact with them all together by leapfrogging over their heads and avoiding strikes of any kind to them.
    • Only engage a Brute when you can perform a Combat Takedown (B+Y).
    • Street Brutes (wearing jeans and a jacket) take one Combat Takedown to eliminate, while Militia Brutes (wearing military gear) take two.

And that's it. Hopefully the supplied strategies and tips shown above help you on your journey with this achievement. It's tough and insanely skilled-based, but the most persistent and dedicated players can it have it done in time. For reference, it took ScorchPSO only 1 hour to get it done, while I spent about 7 hours worth of attempts before unlocking the achievement. Persistence. Remain calm. Don't lose focus.

You need to earn 20 rival points (orange Batman heads, which are given for exceeding the conditions). To do this you need approximately 1,050,000 points.
After this, a boss will appear that you need to defeat.

Having started the test, I advise you to immediately check the difficulty of the game. In my case, the difficulty of the norms was set, I changed it to easy, the enemies became a little slower.

Why hasn't anyone written about mobs that evade the bet hook? When you reach 500 thousand. points, mobs dodge the hook, causing the combo to be reset. The game was ruined for me twice.

The following helped me a lot. Before the battle, when the cutscene is on, hold the cross down and select the smoke bomb. We immediately rush forward, select the destructor and mine all 4 weapon boxes. There's enough time. Then you won’t need to be distracted and waste combos on gunsmiths, you can calmly cut out ninjas, by that time there will already be a lot of them. And one more trick. He often used a regular (not combo) batarang, cleared the crowd, and raised the combo.

My advice is similar to the previous one, but there are also significant differences, here is the VIDEO right away))))))
In order to fight the boss, you need to score a little over a million points. Some advice for getting the trophy: be sure to keep the combo as long as possible, the more combos, the more points you get for each hit, if you knocked down a combo and did not reach at least 800,000, then restart the round. At the beginning of the fight, use only normal attacks , counterattacks and dodges . When the combo counter reaches 50, a medic will begin to appear; they themselves do not pose any serious danger, but they can apply an electric shield to ordinary opponents, such a shield can only be removed with the L2+ batclaw , then click on to hit an enemy whose shield has been removed. At combo 100x, opponents with electric batons and shields will begin to appear, neutralize such opponents with a combination of buttons + (you need the combo counter to light up yellow), it is better to jump over opponents with knives, as well as opponents who are running towards you (the attack of running opponents can also be repelled with a betarang, L2 button). When the combo counter is about 300, ninjas will begin to appear, if we see a yellow danger sign above them, jump over them, or jump to the side, it is better not to counterattack these attacks, the chance of screwing up the combo is too high, they can be killed as with regular attacks , so + (for the second method, the combo counter needs to glow red). By the way, you can only jump into the void once, if you jump 2 times in a row “into nowhere” the combo counter is canceled, you can jump over opponents as much as you like, this does not affect the combo. Towards the end, thugs will begin to appear, kill them only with a combination of buttons + , if the thug has knives, then you can kill him by fighting off the yellow counterattack, but this is risky, when you reach a million and kopecks, a boss will come into the arena (no one will restore your life, so be careful), Nightwing will come to your aid, beat the boss you need to finish off together (L1 button) in the last 2 finishes you will need to counterattack some of his attacks. I hope my guide and video helped you.

In principle, the tips above really work, but I can add something that may make the task a little easier for you.

1. Set “disable smart camera” in the settings. Personally, it has become much more convenient for me.
2. Don’t overdo it + , because if you catch someone who is not electrified, neighboring enemies can and with a 90% probability will knock you down. And if you hook an electric one, then there is a 100% guarantee that you will not be hit, even if they hit you, they will hit you in the air. What follows:
- don't kill doctors, let you have more electric enemies.
- if there are few doctors, jump to the edge of the crowd, and only there carry out the grappling hook.
3. Turn up the volume, you will need to hear that the enemies are reaching for weapons, the main thing is not to rush towards them across the entire area, but get through the crowd by pressing . These bastards with machine guns ruined my game 4 times for 850 thousand.
4. Be prepared that when you only have about 100 thousand left, giant enemies will appear. For some reason, some didn’t have them, but no matter how many times I reached 850 thousand, they always appeared. I can’t even count how many times I lost because of them. My recommendation - download to as much as possible, and assess the situation. Hope they make someone electric and you get +1 to combo, and soon you'll be able to do that + . It is especially important: if you try to hook a non-electric enemy, the giants will hit you with a turnip with a 100% probability.
5. Don't get confused With in the heat of battle. Otherwise, like a loser, I saved up 950 thousand and mixed up the button. In the end, they simply stuttered when there was so little left.

PS: I scored approximately 1,260,000.

I’ve developed this tactic - at first we just create combos on ordinary enemies, somewhere around x50 doctors will come in and buff ordinary enemies with electricity, against them we use L2+ , (Bat-claw). When the combo reaches x100 and shields and shockers come out, completely switch to spamming the above combination. Between five hits, break shields and shockers by pressing + . When you break them all, carry them out in a hurry + instead of breaking for x50 to the score multiplier. Be careful, from time to time the enemies' counterattack icons will fluctuate when you spam the Bat-claw, so at such moments you will have to counterattack immediately after the strike.

When the combo reaches x270-300 ninjas will come out, use them + and also spam other enemies with the Batclaw. As soon as you score 1,050,000 points, the spawning of protivniks will end and you will only have to finish off the remaining ones for Croc to spawn. The x400 combo was enough for me to get 1,050,000 points. When you reach Croc, health will not be restored, be careful and perform 4-5 dual-play specials on him with Nightwing for the win.

Well, if you are an “amateur” like me, then the trophy will make you sweat.
To begin with, I suggest you see and try out everyone in this “location”, did you get hit on the head? combo reset? no problem, move on and look at everyone who will be there, because there is a good chance that you will score 500 thousand and some naked guy with a sword will cut you down.

Be careful with the counter-attack, the bots there have a certain peculiarity: they run at you, and the counter-attack is on fire, you have a smile from ear to ear and you press it so happy, and fig here the counter-attack is gone, so friends, jump and jump again.

It is not necessary to get 800,000 in the first combo, as written above, you can collect pieces one by one, but it will be even more difficult.

And if it doesn’t work out at all, forget it because your nerves are more expensive.
