How to unlock the Picon Presidential Commendation achievement in Battlestar Galactica - Definitive Guide
Fellow TA User: SinisterPhoenix and I came up with the following method for spawn boosting to 5,000:
Team Deathmatch
1 Vs 1
Caprica’s Dawn (thanks for the correction SP!)
15 Minutes
Just to make this go as fast as possible, do not Auto Assign.
The person killing should take the Cylons with the ship with max missiles strength (one of the Cruisers)
The person dying should be the Humans and should pick the Viper VII which has the least shield/hull strength.
Person dying should leave controller alone completely.
Note: If you did Auto Assign by accident and the Human ends up with the stronger Viper (Viper II is it?) then the person playing Human should hit “Y” after the first kill and switch to the Viper VII.
Killer should race over to the Right of Caprica’s Dawn, which is Human spawn. Notice the faint A,B,C - 1, 2, 3 grid pattern. Human Spawn is under the right side “3” axis of the grid.
Human ships will respawn exactly the same spots each time, first at 3B, then up a little between 3A and 3B, then at 3A, then back at 3B, down a little below 3B, then a little lower towards 3C, then down fully at 3C, then starts over again near 3B going up towards A twice before coming down.. (TA user dudovicic calls this "3 Up, 5 Down Viper ReSpawning" in the comments. I like that name!)
Sounds confusing, but once you get the pattern, it is the same over and over. You will move to the spawn and be ready before the Human spawn shield drops.
The person killing will end up with 99-102 kills per 15 minutes. (Edit: Sinister popped a 105 and we are regularly hitting 103-104 lately)
Switch sides so that the person who just died now does all the killing as the Cylons. The new person dying now has 15 minutes to go do something and return at the end of the match. You only need to be there to start the round.
Note: There is also a pattern to the Cylon spawning, but it is more spread out (IMO) than the Human spawn and we are only averaging 89-92 per round.
If you can average the 100 per round, that is 200 per hour for each person (taking 30min an hour each) which is 25 hours total, but you only need to be there for 1/2 the time, but still need to be around to start the matches.
We're not done getting the 5,000 yet but this method is making it a breeze so I thought I'd share as we have seen this game come up on the Sessions pages lately.
Good luck!
Edit 10/12/12
TA User Hikari Kyojin just sent me a great spreadsheet they created to make tracking these kill sessions much easier.
Here it is: http://www.fileden.com/files/2011/12/28/3244357/BSG.xls
I tell you, I wish I had that spreadsheet, as I was marking Sinister and my progress down on a sheet of paper which got a little unwieldy after 20 sessions. And then the dog ate it (kid you not)
Thanks Hikari!!

Just a quick edit...
Map name is Caprica Dawn I believe...
Human side should pick the Viper VII, the Viper II (has red stripe) has stronger shields.
Nice guide!

this is exactly what my partner (Skanker Irl) and I have been doing. In the pattern of 3 up 5 down viper respawning, when you get the one at the bottom, turn hit the thruster t get back to the next to the beginning of the sequence. We get 109 - 112 per game.
