How to unlock the Blue Ribbon Champ achievement in BioShock Infinite - Definitive Guide

*EDIT*: It has come to my attention that almost all the videos on this guide do not properly work anymore. The owner of the videos on youtube deleted his account so all of their videos are gone. The new videos are better and have a link that takes you to a playlist of each challenge for the "arena/theater" so that you may have a visual of what to do. the links are right below the description for each "arena." Sorry for any inconvenience to those who had no visual aid and hopefully this youtuber (Banehowl) will keep his videos up for everyone to continue to use. IF ANY LINKS ARE BROKEN (WHICH IS BOUND TO HAPPEN SINCE GOOGLE CHANGES YOUTUBE'S FORMAT OFTEN) PLEASE TELL ME VIA PERSONAL MESSAGE OR IN THE COMMENTS BELOW AND I WILL FIX IT A.S.A.P.
EDIT: Banehowl on youtube.com owns the videos for each individual challenge and his videos were broken down and shows the EASIEST way to do them. I suggest watching his videos on the rounds you may get stuck on, he has some amazing tips.

There are a total of 60 ribbons and 15 in each theater. Before even attempting this, I STRONGLY recommend upgrading all your Vigors and beating all the theaters so you will be stronger. Every time when you beat a wave you will enter a room that is an armory, to the right there is a door where you can buy an extra life but, be warned the price doubles each time and you can only buy three (once per a life) the prices are; 500, 1000, then lastly 2000. You can only purchase up to three. You might want to begin your upgrades on your weapons whilst doing these challenges.

This achievement is really agitating because if you fail a ribbon you have to work your way back up to that round from the beginning (round 1). Do NOT quit if you have received any ribbons that you did not already have because you will have to redo it. This achievement will be time consuming and frustrating at times.

The first Theater is easy compared to the others and some challenges are a joke compared to the ones that are ludicrous, but the theaters get harder from left to right. All in all it is doable if you try enough times, but let's get to it!

The Ops Zeal
Round one (1)
Beat the wave using only skyline attacks
simple enough just keep attaching to the skyline and then sky attack the enemy by pressing "A" when prompted.
Round two (2)
Defeat the wave while only taking shield damage
just use the sniper and keep a good distance the entire time, stay in cover.
Round three (3)
Defeat the wave while only using sky-hook attacks and shotgun
I recommend using the china boom stick shotgun over the heater you are allowed to use the sky attacks (lunges by pressing "A").
Round four (4)
Defeat the wave while only using machine guns
Just run around using the machine gun, it would be wise if you upgraded the damage before trying for it.
Round five (5)
Defeat the wave while only using the pistol and the hand cannon
this wave is simple since the only enemy is the handyman, just keep attaching and un-attaching from the skyline and shot him with the hand cannon in the heart if possible.
Round six (6)
Defeat the wave without picking up weapons or looting corpses
very simple just run around killing the enemies without picking a weapon up or with looting the corpses.
Round seven (7)
Defeat the wave only using zoom able weapons while they are zoomed
I highly recommend using the Sniper Rifle and the Carbine and slowing down on the skyline is quite helpful for getting them around the corners, just be aware of the snipers in the middle.
Round eight (8)
Defeat the wave while only using tears possession traps and return to sender traps
there are two gun automations. (1. a turret 2. a rocket launcher turret) Just run around the map activating those two and you will be fine.
Round nine (9)
Defeat the wave without hitting anyone in the heart or the head
Use a sniper and a carbine for the accuracy and shoot the handyman in the foot.
Round ten (10)
Defeat the siren before she resurrects any enemies
I used charge (fully upgraded) and a fully upgraded shotgun you must be quick on killing her {you can use a rocket launcher to throw the bodies away from her but i prefer the charge vigor}. Shawn1991 has stated in the comments that if you use the Undertow perk to launch the dead bodies off the ship she wont resurrect anyone.
O NiceGuyAli O said in the comments
"Using Undertow has got to be the best way. I got it on my first real attempt this way (on the actual first attempt I didn't know where the siren was). I was even clumsy and first pushed the corpses back under where you spawn instead off the deck but I guess this confused her enough to give me time to push them off completely. I then proceeded to collect salts and only confronted the soldiers by knocking them off the edge. I don't know if anyone else has come across this but after knocking two soldiers off the edge I was camped on the smaller platform the left of the spawn beside the railings, at this point the siren moved under the spawn close to the edge and just died."
Round eleven (11)
Defeat the wave without using the sky lines or the hook points
Just stay on the ground (which feels weird for some reason) and run around cover to cover.
Round twelve (12)
Defeat the wave in 1:15
USE CHARGE you can go through the railing if there is an enemy in sight and also the shotgun (recommend both being fully upgradable or you will die).
Round thirteen (13)
Defeat the wave using only weapons on the skyline or using sky line strikes
For this one you can use the sniper while sliding in a circle and if they hop on knock them off.
Round fourteen (14)
Defeat the wave using only shock jockey and headshots
PICK A SNIPER and be very careful with your shots all shock jockey does is stun them temporarily so be cautious. You can lay taps with shock jockey also if you don't want to take the chance of failing by missing.
Round fifteen (15)
Defeat each enemy with a different vigor type
This was he hardest in my opinion (might want to purchase a resurrection) Kill one handyman with the charge, then use return to sender to kill the robot with a crankgun, lastly use a combination to kill the last enemy (handyman) the combo is ravens and devil's kiss but mainly devil's kiss.

Duke and Dimwit
Round one (1)
Defeat all enemies using a shotgun
Just keep flying around and jump down get a couple of good shots in, there are health packs on the right side (bottom floor) if you get low on health and also more shotguns where you spawn but on the other side of the tower. If you shock them then shot them you will deal a large amount of damage.
Round two (2)
Defeat two enemies with a possessed patriot
One will spawn right in front of you at the beginning just keep possessing it until the requirements have been met.
Round three (3)
cause three firemen to explode in mid air
This was a pain, for this you will need to bring down their health slowly and as the annotation goes up for them committing suicide you need to quickly throw them in the air using bucking bronco. There are more than enough to do this with.
Round four (4)
DAMAGE 5 enemies with a vigor trap
They spawn on the right of you after a building moves you need to lay a crows trap and once a enemy trips it you will receive it.
Round five (5)
Defeat the wave in under 0:45
quickly look to the right and attach on the sky line and lunge to most of the enemies for the others quickly dispatch them with a shotgun. Key is to keep moving and move with purpose be swift but, play it smart.
Round six (6)
Defeat the handyman while he is electrocuting the sky line
You have to get the final shot/hit on him while he is shocking the sky line so shot at him to weaken him first then hop on the skyline then wait for him to jump up on the rail and shoot him quickly after you have jumped off.
Round seven (7)
Defeat 5 enemies using Undertow
As soon as the enemy ship positions itself beside you just tap the left trigger to send all of them overboard another easy one to perform.
Round eight (8)
Defeat two enemies with a possessed rocket turret
The rocket turret is under the ship so just keep possessing it by charging the possession vigor and enemies will jump down with you and it will eventually kill enough.
Round nine (9)
Defeat all enemies with a different weapon and a different vigor
This means simply kill each enemy differently through the entire wave, don't reuse items.
I went in with a sniper and a carbine I took out one patiot with the sniper then the crow enemy with a carbine I hopped down and use a rpg on the wall to the left of the patriot on a machine gunner pick up his machine gun and the patriot's crank gun kill one enemy with each then kill the last patriot with return to sender then use vigors on the last two enemies but make sure that they are separated when you throw them.
Round ten (10)
Complete the wave using only Charge; Return to Sender; and shotguns.
Self-explanatory just equip a shotgun and use the listed vigors. When I used charge it said I failed so I only used return to sender and my shotgun (I'm assuming due to me upgrading charge fully the explosive damage affected the challenge). Avoid any traps that you may of set in previous rounds be cautious of shooting the grenades in mid air that can ruin your run through
EDIT: A friend has confirmed that upgrading charge will void the ribbon due to explosive damage so if you have upgraded charge fully don't use it.
Round eleven (11)
Defeat the patriot with a possessed enemy
weaken the patriot then posses another enemy to finish him off (do this as soon as possible as with as many enemies you can early on its difficult but with 2 soldiers left it makes it easier).
Round twelve (12)
Defeat all enemies with vigor traps
Hold "LT" to lay a trap and you must be looking at the ground to lay it then the enemy must walk over the trap to trip it. Try to lay them where they jump up to if you do it right they will land on a trap each time. I suggest using Crows as devil's kiss can throw enemies off the ledge.
Round Thirteen (13)
defeat 5 enemies with a single devil's kiss BLAST
I finally managed to do this one, the best way to do this is by using undertow (hold "LT") to grab the enemies and bring them down to you (bring them down beside your spawn and not on the stairs (you will need a flat surface for the devil's kiss to work properly) throw crows then use undertow to bring more down to you try to have 6 but at least five) and throw more crows (one or two to weaken them) then MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE STORM EQUIPPED some say it glitches it from unlocking since it causes another explosion took hours to figure this out and people in the comments have confirmed it I can also confirm that, and then throw your devil at the ground not at a enemy (if at the ground the ball will break up better than directly towards an enemy) and if they are bunched together and weak enough you should get it as long as they are weak from the crows (they must be weak since you must kill them from the BLAST. If placed properly the ball will blow up into 5 smaller balls causing 5 smaller explosions. THIS WILL REQUIRE PATIENCE IF NOT OBTAINED RIGHT OFF THE BAT. KEEP AT IT!
Round fourteen (14)
kill the handyman with a tesla coil
save him for last then weaken him and then take him in the area where the coil is and just circle him around (it might take awhile)
Round fifteen (15)
complete the wave in under 1:30
This one was a pain (use charge the whole time and your shotgun at the end). equip charge and lunge to a enemy on top of the higher ships then attach to the freight hook to get on the zeppelin once on the large zeppelin charge your way down the side to the door then charge your way to the engine and cut it and charge your way out and jump on the lower ships and very quickly kill the enemies. It seems as if some disappeared one was on the ship when I got back. If you don't want to rush that fast you can use undertow to throw enemies off the first boat and undertow the patriot and shotgun him twice and then charge to the engine and off the boat. Just don't spend to long on one enemy.

Here is a link to a playlist of videos for Duke or Dimwit theater showing each challenge with its own video by Banehowl.

Note that wave 13 has two different videos in the playlist and one way is an easier way of how to do it.

Raven's Dome
Round One (1)
Defeat all enemies with the sky-hook melee
all the enemies are weak so just spam "Y"
Round two (2)
Defeat all enemies with the pistol
you can upgrade your gun before hand and try to conserve ammo AIM FOR THE HEAD simple enough
Round Three (3)
Defeat all enemies using only the Undertow Vigor
Try to get the enemies near an edge and use it wisely this one can be easy or hard depending on how you plan to use it. There are more salts in a building if you run out and Liz isn't helping
Round four (4)
Defeat all enemies with vigor traps
keep a distance between them and you. I prefer using Devil's Kiss, but mix it up try out Crows and Return to Sender. Murder of Crow's traps are also VERY strong.
Round five (5)
Beat the Handyman before any other enemy
This might take a couple attempts. Kill the handyman first. try using charge fully upgraded (your'e briefly invincible)keep on the move and try to stay separated from the others. The gear Brittle Skinned is also VERY helpful
Round six (6)
Defeat 5 enemies via friendly fire
If your Possession is fully upgraded them being killed will count as a friendly fire and when it wears off they will kill themselves which also counts as a friendly fire kill there are tears around the map if not fully upgraded
Round seven (7)
Defeat the Volley Gunner and the Zealot before damaging any snipers
this is self explanatory but stay in cover and take out the others swiftly but be careful not to take out any snipers before you have killed any one else.
Round eight (8)
Defeat all enemies with turrets or environmental hazards
the environment would be oil on the ground or tesla coils etc. The turrets would be the automations on the map just run and take cover once they are activated. But continue to move shortly after.
Round nine (9)
Defeat all enemies in 60 seconds using Vigors only
the best things to do this with is charge but mainly undertow to throw people off of the city. Keep throwing them off with undertow and you should be able to do this easily
Round ten (10)
Take no damage for 30 seconds
VERY easy just take cover when you spawn and the survive the rest of the round
Round eleven (11)
Defeat all enemies with the Shotgun
Helps if you have upgraded the shotgun (damage wise) Don't use any Vigors at all or it will fail the challenge
Round twelve (12)
Defeat the wave without picking up weapons or looting corpses
Don't pick up anything or don't press "X" on a corpse
Round thirteen (13)
Defeat all enemies while they are distracted with a Booker decoy tear
weaken the enemies (patriots so that you shoot them in the back) shoot the snipers, pop them in the head with a sniper when they are distracted by your decoy. If you have problems with them following run away and hide and once they don't see you throw up your decoy. You can weaken them but you can only kill them while their back is turned and are distracted
Round fourteen (14)
Defeat each enemy with the same weapon type it wields
use the decoys to your advantage and the weapons are in tears across the map but you might want to go in with two of the three. 1. shotgun 2. machine gun 3. RPG The Machine gun is in the back of the building with you spawn in. RPGs are by the stairs on the building with the grass and leaves. Lastly, the Shotguns are in the building with the ceiling with the hole in it.
Round fifteen (15)
Defeat each enemy with a different weapon
Go in using the RPG and a hand cannon and take out the handy man and the fireman then pick a gun up for the last enemy

Emporia Arcade
Round one (1)
Defeat an enemy by bucking bronco with a possessed motorized patriot
save one patriot and one or two soldiers, weaken them and posses the patriot and when the soldier is near death throw him up try to have 100% salts throughout this challenge and snipe the other patriot first from your spawn.

Round two (2)
Defeat two enemies on a skyline with vigor traps
place a vigor trap right below the skyline where you spawn at as soon as you spawn since there are enemies that slide down to you if you don't get it try getting one on the sky line then kill Him with return to sender but kill the rocket guys first and the soldier as they don't use the skyline

Round three (3)
Defeat wave with hazards or support brought in through tears
bring in the tesla coil and stay in cover and kill one at a time this was an honest pain due to it being so boring (my last enemy didn't move at all from his position even after I ran around so I had to redo it ).

Round four (4)
Defeat the wave using a different weapon or Vigor on every enemy
self explanatory just use different things on each enemy and never use the same thing try to use different weapons as the enemies

Round five (5)
Defeat both Handymen while they are electrocuting the skyline
Weaken both of them and then kill them when they hop on the sky line to shock it to get you off of it shoot them to finish them off and you will have to do one at a time obviously

Round six (6)
Defeat all enemies using only the shotgun
Self explanatory just keep your shield and health up and keep moving. keep moving around side to side to avoid the sniper's shots. be sure you have a door purchased just in case

Round seven (7)
Defeat two enemies with the fireman's suicide explosion
weaken all the enemies and bunch the together. Harder than you think trust me. I used undertow to separate the bunch and quickly damaged the fireman this will be annoying but keep at it once he is weak make sure the other enemy is beside him.

Alcapwn6969 stated in my comments "Note on 4-7: it looks like this ribbon can glitch to count towards your achievement even if you don't get it. Others have posted that they have unlocked the achievement without getting the ribbon, and I had the progress tracker report 59/60 when I just had 4-7 and 2-13 left to go. I then focused on 4-7, got it, and no achievement. The achievement did unlock for me after I then got 2-13.
So, my *strong* suggestion is to save 4-7 for last, and potentially spare yourself the pain of trying to control the firemen suicides."

Round eight (8)
defeat the wave in 1:20
Once more use charge on the patriots and to get to the ledges without having to go around the long way I reached the last ledge with one bar left on my salts and my salts is a 10/10 so on the first patriot just shoot him to death quickly if you are not maxed out on salts then start to use charge and hop around with the freight hook on the building.

Round nine (9)
Defeat the Siren before destroying the zeppelin
The siren will be right at the end there is a decoy to use in the middle of the room she will resurrect a few enemies you can charge at them there is a salt in the middle right when you walk in the door all you must do is kill her before destroying the engine.

Round ten (10)
Defeat all enemies using the sniper rifle
Upgrade your damage before hand and aim for criticals (there is gear in the bottom section called headmaster where criticals do 50% more damage also scavenger's vest (40% chance that enemies will drop ammo when killed) which is in the second gear category if you die you will respawn with more ammo so make sure you have a extra life.

Round eleven (11)
Defeat all enemies while they are distracted with a Booker decoy tear
Just be sure to have an extra live and weaken the 2 handyman as much as possible (charge + grenade luncher) ! There is two decoys on the map ! Just travel to one, try to kill a handyman, then travel to the other...Do it again and again and again until they are both dead! Crows are great for weakening handymen as they just stand there swatting at the birds.

round twelve (12)
defeat all soldiers and zealots with bucking bronco followed by a charge just switch off between the two if you get them together at all it will be a little easier just stay aware of all the enemies you can die while you are about to charge and deal with the patriots if possible before hand as you don't need to do it to them.

round thirteen (13)
defeat each weapon type using the same weapon it wields
Use Return to Sender to shield you. (Blue orb this time, no trap) Have the Pistol and Shotgun equipped. The four guns the enemies have are: 1: Shotguns, 2: Machine Guns, 3: Pistols, 4: Hand Cannons. There are only two women with pistols and two women with hand cannons. When the wave starts, there is initially one boat with two women with pistols, guy with hoods carrying shotguns, and guys with horns carrying machine guns. On this boat is all four weapons that you will need. So why choose the pistol and shotgun? Well, the two women will come out of the boat including all the shotgun guys. Take out the two pistol women with your pistol. Careful because this makes the next two boats come in. Wait behind cover for all the shotgun guys to come and take them out. Soon the two women with hand cannons will come, but IGNORE them. After the two women with the pistols are killed and the shotguns guys are dead, jump to the first boat that was there when the wave started. (Be warned though, have full salt and keep using Return to Sender cause those boats will be full of machine gun guys!!!!!) Grab the machine gun and hand cannon, activate the tear with the hook on the BUILDING and get back to the building. Find cover and take out the hand cannon woman. Finally finish off the remaining machine gun guys. One last tip, I highly recommend fully upgraded health, salt, Return to Sender. Also get a respawn!

round fourteen (14)
defeat the handyman with a motorized patriot tear
Weaken the handyman (charge and the grenade launcher) and summon the patriot when he is near death (you can use return to sender to protect you)

Round fifteen (15)
Knock 4 corpses off Columbia before the Siren can resurrect them
A ship will drop dead bodies off, you can throw them off using Undertow it will unlock as soon as you throw the bodies off the ledge and she floats away.

I want to clarify some things:
1) I need to get a ribbon only for 1st and it wil count forever later? For example I got 1st ribbon, then I quit, do I have to get it again in 1 wave or ill just skip to 2 wave?
2) if I fail requirements, what should I do then? If I fail at last wave, then what?

And how to keep upgrades for weapons and vigors?

thanks for reminding me I forgot to put that in sorry
if you win a challenge then fail another one you still get credit for having one but if you win a challenge in one room and no longer need to be in the theater all you have to do is turn around in the armory and leave by pressing "X" on the gate then hit the save point on the counter in the lobby
if you get a ribbon then quit immediately you will lose that ribbon since you did not save

as long as you hit a save point such as leaving by pressing "X" on the armory gate and hitting the book on the counter
there are stores in the lobby to purchase things once you beat the first theater

For Ops Zeal 10 it's really easy if you use Undertow and knock the bodies off before fighting the siren and then either undertow the rest off or just avoid them until the siren is dead.

Sometimes when i begin a wave i immediately fail the blue ribbon challenge, it happened on the one where you need to kill the handyman with nothing but a pistol and the one where you can only kill enemies while zoomed in. I just begin the wave and as soon as im in the arena it says i failed the challenge, anyone know how to fix this?

yes for this dlc you will keep it forever and you also should buy all gallery items since thats an achievement and once you have everything save up incase you need to buy extra life's in the theaters after it's all done money is a waste after a awhile :/

You need actual strategies for some of the harder ribbons. Like Raven's Dome killing everyone while distracted by decoys. Once I kill one person, I can't get them to ever be distracted again. How about an *actual* strategy or tips for that? Or "the two RPG spawn to the right, kill them, then focus on machine gun enemies and shotguns" for the kill enemies with the type they wield. Saying that "hey, kill the enemies with the weapon they have" is already in the weapon description.

Except for the many that are very self-explanatory and don't really need tips at all, most if not all of the guides up are not helpful at all. The extremely tough challenges aren't getting any easier from your tips.

Redemption, I was having the same problem but noticed I had a piece of clothing that damaged enemies with electricity when I shot them. That little bit of electrical damage was screwing me out of a bunch of ribbons. You may need to change it from round to round.

Another one, D&D wave 5, kill everyone in 45 seconds you say "play swift and be smart" doesn't do shit for someone. There are 3 snipers and 3 clubwielding enemies. Snipers on top left and top right platforms with one moving around. Take a sniper rifle or carbine and a shotgun. There is a decoy you can bring in the middle to distract the snipers if you need, but take out one and the club wielders come to you, so just use the shotgun or charge/burning halo/brittle skin combo for instant kills. Once that's out of the way you have one or two snipers left, once you only have one you get the alert icon to show you the last one's position.

An easier way for Duke and Dimwit wave 4 would be to place a Murder of crows trap under someone. I tried using DK but they died straight away. MoC also transfers to other enemies so one trap could damage 5 people at once as it did for me.

Raven's Dome:

Wave 5: The gear BRITTLE-SKINNED (Melee targest briefly vulnerable. Victim takes 2x damage for 5 seconds) might also come in handy.

Wave 6: All you have to do here is simply using POSSESSION (fully upgraded). Now if they get killed while possessed it counts as friendly-fire and when the vigor wears off they kill themselves anyway which also counts as friendly-fire. Piece of cake. No need to play around with the patriot.

This is quite important:
When doing the challenge where you kill the enemies while they are distracted by a booker decoy, it is very important that they must lose sight of you first, then start to shoot at the decoy. If they can see you and you open the tear and you kill them, it won't count because they still know where you are. You can lose them by running to the other side of the map or hiding(sometimes they will still know where you are hiding)

Also about the EXTRA-LIFE you can only buy it three times during a wave. $500-$1000-$2000 and that's it, after that you are pretty mutch screwed when you die!

By BLAZE VII on 01 Aug 2013 12:16
you can buy 3 lifes per play you mean, meaning once you buy your 3 lifes you have to start from wave 1 again to be able to buy 3 more.

Duke and Dimwit:

Wave 4: Way easier. Simply throw one or two MURDER OF CROWS TRAPS right before the moving building with the enemies. As soon as one enemy jumps down and triggers the trap all the other enemies get hit too.

Count me in guys, freaking 5 enemies with one Devil's Kiss are not so easy. The method in the guide sounds stupid to me, I can't even get a lock-on on enemies to use charge. By that time there are already less enemies on the roof. I think it's better to use UNDERTOW to pull them down!

@ Twik999: Yeah that's exactly what I'm trying to do for the last 2h now. It's not so easy as it seems in the video and if you fail you spend 10 fucking minutes to give it another attempt. You need to damage the tougher enemies and if you wait too long or use too much of Murder of Crows they die too fast giving you not the five required kills!

I'm talking in general about the one you are on and the last few on emporia arcade and no thats the only one I have left in duke theater but i never tried the easier way but i'm about to since it looks mad easy compared to the charge way
if you think your way is better on any of the challenges comment about it and if its true I will add it in

By Raw Sauce Ross on 01 Aug 2013 18:45
I didnt read through all the comments, and this could be wrong, but I BELIEVE that you have to get all 15 ribbons in one playhrough, for example, I completed the first 2 and was moving on to Ravens dome and I was 95% sure I had the ribbon from wave 12 already, and I didnt get it in my second playthrough, and now it isnt on the board anymore. I could be wrong, but if thats the case this is gonna be even more of a hassle than I had originally assumed

By Develled on 01 Aug 2013 19:18
You don't have to get them in one playthrough. If you got say 8 in a level, then you will still have those eight on a second playthrough.

By Yazite on 01 Aug 2013 19:21
They do not all have to be won in 1 playthrough, but if you dont save manually using the book on the desk then next time you go into the game it wont show the ones you have already won

to correct one mistake, the last challenge of the last map Emporium is stated wrong.

you do not need to kill the siren before she resurrects the ghosts, you need to knock four ghosts off of the map before she resurrects them.

it is rather easy as the first set will be on the lower right and all you need is to use undertow as they are raised and it should knock all four off in one go. you will then get the ribbon and can finish as you like.

Duke & Dimwit - Wave 10
if you destroy the rocket turret in wave 8 immediately (maybe because you already completed the challenge), all your enemys using the skyline and land left of you and are easy to kill...but do not use murder of crows, because the trap carry over to Wave 10 and fail your challenge instantly!

Currently at 58/60.
Stuck on Emporia, the one where you have to kill the handymen while distracted by a booker decoy. I can always kill the first while he's distracted but second kill never registers. Maybe it's because I have to kill them before they kill the decoy?

Duke and Dimwit - WAVE fucking 13:

A guy in the video's comment says that STORM voids the challenge, glitching it blah blah. Anyone can confirm that it works without it better. 20+ runs and nothing. Trying to pull up with Charge throw one, nothing. Pulling them down with Undertow, gather them up with Murder of Crows, blast them, nothing. Just one question for the OP The Kudi Zone: HOW did YOU do it since you only used tactics by others and never put down your own version!? I'm curious since you post all the way to the top that you have to go through them all again. So can you confirm the tactic in the video too!?

What I did differently was I bunched them up real close to each other, like really close, I almost ran out of salts.
I took the Storm gear off too, which may have something to do with it.
I'm probably gonna make a guide because that was honestly the hardest, and most frustrating achievement I've ever done, and I want to share some helpful tips and tricks.

We would prefer it if you all left you comments on our actual youtube videos though, so that all the questions are in one place, and you can see in the answers. It's 4am in England at the moment, so we're going to go and have a sleep!! At the moment, we've done half the waves. They're not TOO hard. So, expect to see the last vids tomorrow!

what cracks me up is that over on x360a.org they list the time to complete this dlc as 10+ hours. i have 49 ribbons so far and i would say i'm at about 15 hours lol. anyways, this achievement is a pain in the ass, it seems combining vigor traps voids the ribbon, enemies keep killing each other and jumping to their deaths, and apparently wearing the shock jacket gear fucks everything up. jesus i can't wait for this to be over

@Alcapwn6969: Sir you deserve a gold medal for tip of the week. I was wondering this too and it happened for me. I received the achievement without completing wave 7 in Emporia Arcade, which was tough because it was more luck driven then the other waves. I decided to still get the wave done after for completion sake and so that I could help other on my guide who wanted to try the challenge.

So here is my important question: Can I use this tip on my solution? This is good info, but the credit is yours, so how about it? ;)

I just unlocked this achievement and I have a really easy way to complete emporia arcade wave 13 for anyone who is struggling.

Okay before the wave starts buy an revive just in case. As soon as the wave starts go out to the balcony and drop down to the bottom turn around and go inside. Stay here and watch as all the enemies fall to their death. I only had to kill the last 3 and they were all machine guys and they stayed on the ship the whole time.

Also the glitch that Alcapwn6969 is talking about is something to do with with emporia wave 8. I had 58/60 ribbons and the only two I needed were 4-7 and 4-13. I failed wave 7 then I completed wave 8 and it said 59/60 even though I already had a ribbon on this wave.

I then failed 4-13. So I went back and completed wave 7, no achievement then done wave 8 again nothing, then I got to wave 13 completed it and the cheevo unlocked. Yep it's glitchy.

Anyone else having issues where sometimes you fail the challenge almost immediately because some idiot fell off the map before you even do anything? I have been getting frustrated because there is 1 or 2 challenges that I have failed because it was "kill all enemies with the shotgun" or "vigor traps" and what not and before I can even get anywhere it fails while the boat I am on flies in.. Also struggling with Raven's Dome round 9 because I waste a bunch of time trying to find where the enemies are.

By Archangel891 on 05 Aug 2013 00:08
Archangel, on RD round 9 if you wait on the transport you start out on there will be 2 enemies to the right on the first transport you see (pull then push them off with Undertow), then 2 more on the tranport in front of you (also pull/shoot off), then the last 2 should jump down to the ground by the decoy, you'll have to jump down with them to again push them off.

4-12 is glitched or something for me. As soon as I bucking bronco and charge the first crow guy it fails me instantly. Pretty frustrated at this point as I am at 57/60 and want to finish this.

Changed my gear from quick handed, bullet boon, fleet feet and brittle skinned to hill runners hat, drop cloth, death from above, and head master, and it worked like a charm. Not sure why but maybe because of the brittle skinned item? Anyways, I'm glad it's done.

Ops Zeal - Wave 10

Using Undertow has got to be the best way. I don't know if anyone else has come across this but after knocking two soldiers off the edge I was camped on the smaller platform the left of the spawn beside the railings, at this point the siren moved under the spawn close to the edge and just died.

You did, I just wanted to clarify that it probably is the best way to do it. I have repeated the method with the same results, the second time the siren actually flew out into the open, flew straight up then dove down to her death for a freefall kill!

Is there any fix for this or am I going to have to restart. If so that wuld suck since I already have 52 ribbons.

I've tried that, trap and non trap. I finally got it, amidst a whole bunch of scramble and spamming, so I didn't actually see it happen. The notification popped up as I was running away with no shields.

Such shitty dlc, it has no place in this game. Guide is great btw, whether the text or videos, both work great together. No only if this game would cooperate better.

Has anyone else noticed a bunch of clipping, getting stuck on the environment and being unable to move for a sec or two?

Not that it is really a big deal but for future reference, while it is fantastic the guy was nice enough to give you permission to use the videos, you did not need to ask for any. Once a person uploads their video to Youtube as agreed to in the ToS they relinquish copyright to that video and it may be used and distributed as any Youtube user sees fit.

Question about the ribbons. Let's say I manage to get them all but fail to get the one on wave 13. After all 15 waves are done, would it count me as have all but number 13? Or do you have to get all blue ribbons in one run?

Thanks for the excellent guide, really came in handy.
Just a quick tip for anyone having problems with wave 13 on dimwit and duke - kill 5 enemy's with a single devils kiss blast. Follow the video in the guide and bring everyone down from the top using undertow and crows to hold them in place. Then what worked for me was using bucking bronco to suspend everyone in mid air and laying a devils kiss trap on the floor beneath them, as they fall they set off what looks to be a bigger explosion. Good luck with this one as the guide says you'll need to be patient with it.

Great guide! On the Ravens Dome where you have to kill the firemen and handy man with different weapons. Kill one fireman as fast as possible with a weapon of choice, then run around and keep your distance from the handy man and the other remaining fireman. The handyman will sometimes pick up the firemen and throw him at you (hilarious, i know laugh) and that counts as a different weapon kill. Now just finish off the handyman with whatever weapon!

If you're reffering to areana 4 wave 13 sometimes it pops up as failed. I've tried it that way a long time ago and I failed it.

In Round 13 of Emporia you have to kill with the weapon they have. I used undertow on everyone and still got the ribbon. Much easier. Just wanted to get through it and found it worked.

I managed to get the kill 5 enemies with devil's kiss with a couple charges while wearing the burning halo. Without pulling anyone down, I charged up to the group of enemies and then charged some more. I'll also note that my charge and devil's kiss are fully upgraded and I was also wearing Brittle-Skinned.

Need help here please! I hate this DLC like most people and i'm sick to death of bothering going through 14 waves just to fuck it all up over and over...facepalm

So anyway i saw on PsTrophies that theres a workaround where you can delete your profile save file and redo the easy ribbons and the counter doesnt reset but counts ones youve already done! Is there any way to find this save file on Xbox, i think its labelled differently on PS, I have 60 save files and dont know which one to delete? cry

-1 most of the insanely difficult and annoying ones have awful videos. Banewolf gets pure lucky with wave 11 of Duke & Dimwitt and 13 too.

Can't find an answer for this anywhere but is there any way of retrying waves?
If i die in a wave is there any way to retry it without starting from wave 1?

Also, if using backwards compatibility on Series X or One, play in one session, do not turn off or exit the game or you will risk losing all progress.

Can confirm this. It’s not saving for me at all. Good thing I still have my 360

Very nice guide, but id suggest having it all spaced like emporia arcade section. Kind of hard to read with it all cluttered together.

Duke and Dimwit 13 made easy. Charge the flak cannon to get up to the enemies and throw a devil's kiss trap down. Tried a couple of other methods but ended up spreading the enemies out too far, using this method got it first time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLENfdILm9I

Don't know if anyone else mentioned this since theys a lot of comments but the rounds that require you to use same weapon as the enemy I found that you can just use undertow on them to throw them off the map and doesn't fail you easier way to get the ribbon.

On Emporia 11 (2 handymen to kill while distracted by decoys) I found that once the enemies are weakened, setting a return to sender trap on the decoy location before tearing it in can be helpful. It doesn't do tons of damage so might not kill them, but it does give you a longer distraction time because rather than 1-hitting the decoy, they get knocked back and attack again.

Ultras500's tip is brilliant. Still a little tricky to get all 5 kills but it's by far the best method, and is repeatable.

Defeat two enemies with a possessed patriot
One will spawn right in front of you at the beginning just keep possessing it until the requirements have been met.
This doesn't work, the fireman kills the Patriot

Finally got Blue Ribbon Champ today!

For anyone who likes to watch video walkthroughs, I highly suggest Banehowl’s youtube series. They are concise and get the job done (he even includes recommended gear for Emporia Arcade).

A note: on Series X Ravens Dome Wave 10 I was falling from the sky, immediately failing the ribbon. I fixed this by turning off Framerate Unlock in settings before the level started.

Also, if using backwards compatibility on Series X or One, play in one session, do not turn off or exit the game or you will risk losing all progress.

Hard, but possible!

In regard to Wave 14 of Ops Zeal, Shock Jockey can actually do a lot of damage if you know how to use it correctly. If you set up a network of traps that pins the enemies in a small area, they will be stuck. At this point, you can continue to set up further traps so that they cannot even move before becoming electrocuted again. Once you have them pretty much stuck in one spot, you can charge your Shock Jockey until releasing it would form a trap, but instead of tossing it on the ground to better your trap setup, throw it on the enemies themselves. I found throwing at their chests and their feet to be most effective. This makes quick work of all but the Zealot. It is a somewhat slow process getting the Zealot down this way, but as this is Wave 14, and one simple misfire can set you all the way back, this route is safer. If you want to try to headshot them all, go for it. It wouldn't be that hard, really. The frustrating part would be working your way back each time you missed by a hair. Do whatever you'll have more fun with, but know there is an easier, less hair-ripping method.

And MadMaxxx, once you have a Ribbon unlocked, it is unlocked for good. You do not need to get the Ribbons in succession for them to count. However, if you fail a Ribbon's challenge, you do need to start at the beginning of that arena and work your way back to the one you're going for. Pretty frustrating on the harder challenges that are later in their arenas, but that's just how it is.

A much better strategy for wave four of Duke & Dimwit Theater is to just use Return to Sender traps on everyone. Just collect the ammunition from enemies firing at you by holding LT and release to throw at them. You can often hit two or three with a single trap. This is much less complicated and serves as a great way to clear this wave, challenge or not.

@Duke & Dimwit - Wave 4
with a single! murder of crows trap you can kill ALL enemys and the challenge is completed in 3 seconds... this is the easiest challenge of the game if you ask me.
BLAZE VII posted this method already and it would be a great idea to add this information to the guide.

@Wave 13
i completed the challenge... after 2 hours... urgh.
use undertow and grab all enemys and use your crows... but don't panic and do NOT throw the devil's kiss to early... if you have an extra life, you can die and the enemys keep the current lifebar/damage... this give you plenty of time (if you buy all 3 lifes in this wave)... use undertow to group them up and continue using crows... do not use any kind of weapon... just keep an eye on the lifebar of your enemys and after they lose 75% of ther energy, use your devil's kiss.... but really make sure they stay close together and don't hold back with using undertow.

Note on 4-7: it looks like this ribbon can glitch to count towards your achievement even if you don't get it. Others have posted that they have unlocked the achievement without getting the ribbon, and I had the progress tracker report 59/60 when I just had 4-7 and 2-13 left to go. I then focused on 4-7, got it, and no achievement. The achievement did unlock for me after I then got 2-13.
So, my *strong* suggestion is to save 4-7 for last, and potentially spare yourself the pain of trying to control the firemen suicides.

I just want to add that I was able to do D & D, wave 13 without Undertow using Charge. I know some people have reported this tactic not working (maybe because of Storm), but I was able to do it first attempt after hours of trying Undertow. I think the trick is this: equip the brittle skin gear (2x damage after a melee attack) and use Charge immediately on the enemy walking to the right on the roof just as the wave starts, this is one of the armored enemies. Immediately switch to DK, and use the TRAP version on the ground in front of you, almost all the enemies should be around you. You have to be quick using Charge because 2 enemies jump off the roof quickly and you'll want them up there to increase your odds. Obviously make sure both DK and Charge are both maxed out. I hope that helps some of you!

Duke and Dimwitt - Wave 15

I used a combination of Undertow and Murder of Crows to either knock the enemies away or just to distract them, as apparently you don't need to kill the enemies to end the wave. After cutting the engine I was killed, luckily I had a resurrection and where does the resurrection spawn you? Out where you need to be to end the wave! Got the ribbon as I re-spawned.

I need a hand with Emporia Arcade, Wave 1. I get it down to 3 enemies, 2 soldiers, 1 patriot. Both soldiers have a sliver of health, I possess the patriot, bronco the soldiers, and the patriot just fucking stares at them and doesn't shoot until they land on the ground again.

Any help please before I go insane form this?

I've tried that, trap and non trap. I finally got it, amidst a whole bunch of scramble and spamming, so I didn't actually see it happen. The notification popped up as I was running away with no shields.

Such shitty dlc, it has no place in this game. Guide is great btw, whether the text or videos, both work great together. No only if this game would cooperate better.

Has anyone else noticed a bunch of clipping, getting stuck on the environment and being unable to move for a sec or two?

I found a very very easy way to do 4-7, where you have to get 2 enemies killed by firemans suicide attack. Tried it 3 or 4 times in a row and got it everytime. Just go in with a revolver, sniper, bucking bronco and undertow. Use the sniper to clean out everything except 1 fireman and 2 enemies... and make sure you damage the fireman to low health, then run to the other side of the bridge from where you spawn, under the bridge or wherever you are comfortable with it, the rest of the enemies will start approaching you and once they are all rather close just activate undertow and swipe left and rite to make sure you pick them all up, it will bring them all in front of you, bucking bronco is good to use if you fail to pick em all 3 up and you can use it to bounce them up to give you time to escape and try again to swipe up 3. Once all 3 get swiped and dropped in front of you just pop the fireman with with the revolver taking the little health he should have left and pop goes the party...

Wave 13.

Enemies: Soldiers

Blue Ribbon Challenge: Defeat each enemy with the same weapon-type it wields.

This is another Challenge where an exploit/glitch works in your favour. In essence, it's a Resurrection Door/Raining Bodies exploit, and thus you will need a Resurrection Door to make it work. As soon as the round begins don't bother shooting anyone and just let yourself die, when you're resurrected don't press X to open the door. The enemies will be trying to get to you but will just end up jumping off and committing suicide. Once there are 11 enemies remaining, go through the door by pressing X and just stand there. Many more enemies will follow the others and you should end up with a big pile of bodies to the right of you. They finally stop jumping off when there are 4-5 enemies remaining, thus leaving you with a couple of Machine Gunner or Shotgun enemies to finish off. If you didn't start the Wave with the weapons they are carrying, all the weapons you need will be located on the airships above you.

this is a copy and paste from ps3trophies.org whoever deserves credit can have it.

I've never heard of anything like that .. but really this isn't that difficult, if you keep trying you should be crack this eventually. It's annoying having to redo the same waves, but the more you try the better you become at it.

This guide is very sufficient for gaining the achievement ... worked for me smile +1

I went through the ribbons on the series x, and encountered a glitch on wave 10 of ravens dome. I would spawn 30 feet in the air, causing me to take fall damage and voiding the ribbon. This happened all four times I attempted the arena, with no way to save it (tried grappling to a sky-line, blocking fall damage with return to sender, using charge on far-away enemies). Re-installing the game did not help, neither did clearing the cache. The only way I found to fix this glitch was to play the wave on an actual 360 console, where it worked perfectly.

If you're doing this through backwards compatibility and keep spawning in the air on wave 10 of Ravens Dome. You need to go into Options > Graphics > Turn "Lock Framerate" to On.

This'll spawn you in like normal and you can hide for the 30 seconds to complete the ribbon.

@Thief44 Shut up douchebag. I posted most of my comments BEFORE he put up all his sentences and just shoved other people's videos into a huge wall of text. And if you'll look closer I actually already posted some wave tips before I called him out.

Here's a tip for all the use only X or Y challenges, remove any gear that affects them. From doing some testing, almost all gear with actual physical effects voids challenge parameters. Brittle Skin will void charge attacks.

The wave in Emporia for killing all enemies with the weapons they carry? Take a shotgun and a machine gun. Kill the people with them and run around avoiding the weaker enemies with pistols and handcannons. KILLS MADE WITH TURRETS OR THE MOSQUITO DO NOT VOID THE CHALLENGE. As in every kill you get through "friendly fire" with the machine gun turret or mosquito are perfectly fine. You could technically not kill anyone by your own hand.

Burning halo, brittle skin and charge can absolutely level a handyman if you keep using it. 4-5 hits almost kill them depending on if they catch fire or not (emporia handymen when they're tough)

So yeah, Thief, go fuck yourself. I was the 9th person to finish this achievement. I figured out how to do most everything myself and got tips on only a couple of the toughest ones. THIS guy's guide didn't help with any of them until I'd already done it and other people on here and xbox360a.org had already figured out better methods. This guide is an info dump. It doesn't explain much, and the helpful parts are straight up other people's work.

Yeah it's really wierd, and it carries over to new save files as well. "Why did you create a new save file?", you might wonder. Because I fucking suck.

On the 360, loading a save from hard drive instead of your cloud saves immediately overwrites your cloud save and will delete all your progress. I tried this to see if achievement progress would carry over to a fresh save and allow me to get my last ten ribbons with ribbons I already had on the main save. Nope.

Going idle mid-arena and letting your console auto shut down will delete your save (the second one, first one was lost in the paragraph above). I don't mean a reset of just that arena. The entire save, gone. Granted, I had played the first three and a half arenas in one sitting, without manually saving at the book in the hub, so that might be the reason here. Don't know for sure, but play it safe and do not idle.

One last thing. If no one has mentioned it by now I'm pretty sure the overkill gear voids ribbons of the "use only x to kill all enemies" variety.

Raven Dome round 4 automatically failed about 10 seconds after I start it about 5 times, using no attacks. Couldn't figure out why. Eventually got a round where it didn't happen. If it happens to you just takes repeated tries.

Also round 9 Raven Dome, among others, are given no real explanation when one is sorely needed. You need a particular idea of the arena and strategy to finish it, with 1 particular technique resulting in it being very easy. The just use Charge and Undertow and you're good caused me to feel lost and confused when I had only gotten a kill or two before time ran out my first attempt. Many little things like that throughout the guide. Still, appreciate the effort you put in.

For those having trouble with Raven Dome 9 - the trick is to stay on your boat, do an undertow hold LT to drag people to your boat, tap LT undertow to knock them off. Leisurely railshooter strategy that trivializes it. If you jump off and try and get fancy with charge and traps and etc you're gonna have a bad time.

I'm seeing a lot of mention of using the shotgun when lots of damage is required in a small period of time- either I've been using the shotgun all wrong, or you haven't been properly introduced to the Hail Fire. Fully upgrade it, wear the Bullet Boon vest, and you can rattle off 12 rounds in ~2 seconds, each of which rivals an RPG in damage. One of these bursts can easily down a Motorized Patriot (and even a Siren, if she cooperates and stays in one place), and using this weapon with the occasional blast of Crows makes Handymen a joke. I don't have a specific fight that I'm recommending the Hail Fire for- I'm just claiming that it's easily the best gun in the game for dealing raw amounts of damage to clusters of enemies and/or single big enemies. The Volley Gun is nothing to shake a stick at either- easier to use (due to projectiles not bouncing off of the environment), without the unholy rate of fire. Give it a try, and see if it doesn't help your strategies out.

As I have finally managed to unlock this achievement, I figured I would share my strategy as well as The Kudi Zone. Nice guide btw.

There are a total of 60 blue ribbons across 4 maps: The Ops Zeal, Duke and Dimwit Theater, Raven's Dome, and Emporia Arcade. Each contain 15 blue ribbon challenges well as 15 waves. After each wave is over, you enter a armory that contains every weapon available in the game as well as a vigor machine, a weapon machine, and Booker's door that allows one single respawn if you die on a wave. After competing a wave, you are given either one gear or one infusion bottle. These alternate every round meaning if you beat wave 1 and received 1 infusion, then by beating round 2 you will get a gear.

Please note: That after you complete a wave and get a gear or infusion, replaying that wave and beating it will not give you another! One thing I'm unsure of is if the gear is random or not.

As The Kudi Zone suggested, I suggest upgrading every weapon and vigor and collect every gear. By gear, I mean the cloths (Hat, Shirt, Pants, and Shoes) that you collect after completing every other wave. You should also try to complete all 15 waves for each map to get a feel for them and what blue ribbon challenges lay ahead. Now if you fail one challenge, don't quit! Move on as you can still earn money, upgrades, etc.

This can be frustrating as if you fail a wave, you will need to replay all the way back from wave 1 to earn that ribbon again. I don't have to say how annoyed I was to lose wave 13 or 14 and have to replay all first 12 waves again!

You can also buy a single life or respawn (Booker's Door) in either the armory or on each map if you can locate his door. Be Warned, You can only buy the door three times for every 15 waves or map you play! It cost 500 but doubles every time you lose a life and buy another. So 500, 1000, 2000 respectively......

IMPORTANT: For waves that call for VIGOR and VIGOR COMBOS, make sure to UNEQUIP gear that will otherwise affect you from getting the ribbon. I.E. Burning Halo, Overkill, and Brittle Skinned. Thanks Shand Alk3 for the tip.

IMPORTANT Update 2: I received an excellent tip from a good friend of mine, Alcapwn6969.

He says: "Note on 4-7: it looks like this ribbon can glitch to count towards your achievement even if you don't get it.

I can confirm this because it happened to me. I managed to get every ribbon but Emporia Arcade Wave 7 but I still got the achievement. (FYI, I went back and got this wave done later even though I had the achievement.) I'm sorry, he means Emporia Arcade waves 7 and 13 (4 being map 4). It's glitchy.

According to MCMAHON x RFC he states "The glitch that Alcapwn6969 is talking about is something to do with with emporia wave 8. I had 58/60 ribbons and the only two I needed were 4-7 and 4-13. I failed on wave 7 then I completed wave 8 and it said 59/60 even though I had a ribbon on this wave.

I then failed 4-13. So I went back and completed wave 7, no achievement then got to wave 13 completed it and the cheevo unlocked. Yep it's glitchy."

Thanks for the clarification. I'll post this in wave 7 still.

Once again, thank you Alcapwn6969 for this good tip.

The easiest maps are from left to right meaning:

The Ops Zeal (Very Easy)
Duke and Dimwit Theater (Easy)
Raven's Dome (Medium)
Emporia Arcade (Hard)

The gear I wore while going for this achievement is:

Hat (Burning Halo)
Shirt (Bullet Boom)
Pants (Fleet Feet)
Shoes (Last Man Standing)

Why?: Burning Halo goes great with Charge, especially against big enemies like Siren and Handyman. Bullet Boom gives me more bullets to fire, always a plus. Fleet Feet allowed me to escape easier from fast enemies. Last Man Standing was crucial when you lose to much health as it gives you some by killing an enemy.

The main weapons I used (unless ribbon calls for specific one):

Hand Cannon
Sniper Rifle

Why?: My reasoning for these weapons boils down to the bare roots. I like the weapons and am good with both of them. Particularly the sniper as it helps with distance against enemies. The Hand Cannon I believe is powerful against all enemies compared with everything but the rpg and volly gun. Both of these take forever to reload and shoot, therefore it boils down to preference.

The main vigors I used (unless ribbon calls for a specific one or combo):

Charge
Murder of Crows/Undertow

Why?: Charge is a must, especially combined with Burning Halo. It allows you to charge your shield after hitting an enemy. This helps save your health. Now I swap murder of crows and undertow depending on the enemy. For example, for the handyman, I use murder of crows while hammering him with sniper rounds or hand cannon fire and I will swap to charge if he breaks free and hits me. Undertow I use more for the last couple of waves of Duke and Dimwit theater and Raven's Dome because I can "Use the Force" er..... water to push enemies off buildings and those floating boats.

The Ops Zeal

Wave one (1)
Beat the wave using only skyline attacks
This requires you to jump on a sky line by pressing "A". When you get close enough so that you can see the target, it will show "Skyline Attack" over the enemy. Press "A" to perform this move. Do it 5 times total and the blue ribbon is yours.
Wave two (2)
Defeat the wave while only taking shield damage
This is much easier if you have everything upgraded. But if you don't, simply hang back in the room you spawn in and snipe all the enemies while staying behind walls and barrels for cover. If your a daredevil, you could use undertow (hold the button down) and grab enemies. This brings them right to you and all you have to do is kill them.
Wave three (3)
Defeat the wave while only using sky-hook attacks and shotgun
There are various ways to do this. I recommend grabbing the China Broom Shotgun. At spawn, jump on the skyline going left. look down immediately and sky-hook attack the enemy below. Go right and take out the 1 or 2 enemies with your shotgun. Loop around the pole that looks like a crow's nest and take out the remaning enemies with your shotgun. There should be 5 guys total.
Wave four (4)
Defeat the wave while only using machine guns
Simply get a machine gun from the armory and blast all the enemies. Easier if machine gun is fully upgraded.
Wave five (5)
Defeat the wave while only using the pistol
Just grab a handgun and use murder of crows to distract him. It's key here that you have to defeat him with a pistol, it says nothing about damaging him with anything else. Make sure though that the crows don't kill him because they deal some damage.
Wave six (6)
Defeat the wave without picking up weapons or looting corpses
This could be tricky if your just starting out because you might run out of ammo. I suggest using the sniper rifle and hand cannon. Use the hand cannon for up close enemies and the sniper for distant ones. Just don't pick up loot accidentally or a weapon.
Wave seven (7)
Defeat the wave only using zoomable weapons while they are zoomed
Do yourself a favor, use the sniper rifle! Nothing beats it plus the only other scoped weapon is the rpg that I know of. To zoom, press second analog stick in. Note: I tried zooming with hand cannon and killing enemies but I failed to get the blue ribbon. Yet I heard it worked for others.... So I suggest taking cover and using the Sniper rifle to stay safe.
Wave eight (8)
Defeat the wave while only using tears possession traps and return to sender traps
I simply used return to sender. (Hold down) Return to sender to unleash trap. It's easier if you aim at the enemy hold button down until blue ball become yellow and then fire it so that your sure it hits and kills the enemy. Some enemies require more then one shot though.
Wave nine (9)
Defeat the wave without hitting anyone in the heart or the head
Some people could use the Sniper rifle and Carbine for this. I choose to use murder of crows and a rpg to his back and feet. Either way works, just be careful where you aim...
Wave ten (10)
Defeat the siren before she resurrects any enemies
This is one of those waves where you need charge AND the gear Burning Halo. Immediately jump down from spawn, aim and charge the siren. Keep charge and shooting some Hand Cannon shots at her quickly. If your fast enough, you should get the ribbon. I've tried many tactics and this is by far the best one.
Wave eleven (11)
Defeat the wave without using the sky lines or the hook points
No Skyline! This will fell strange to some but instead look for cover. Stay away from the patriots crank guns and try to weed out the smaller enemies first. Again, Sniper Rifle and charge are crucial for this wave.
Wave twelve (12)
Defeat the wave in 1:15
Simply use Charge and Hand Cannon. Just be quick. It might help to play this a couple times to learn the enemies and were they start at....
Wave thirteen (13)
Defeat the wave using only weapons on the skyline or using sky line strikes
It took me some time to realize that you can aim the opposite way on the skyline from where your going to slow down. Thus, giving you a better shot at enemies. Also, if they are chasing you on the skyline, it's easier to jump and skyline attack them off the skyline. Skyline.....
Wave fourteen (14)
Defeat the wave using only shock jockey and head shots
This one frustrated me like crazy. Use the sniper rifle, hand cannon, and shock jockey. Immediately snipe one of the easier enemies. For the crow guy, shock him and then try to use the hand cannon for a head shot. It's tricky but I found easier to do up close then the sniper rifle. Use the sniper rifle for the ones in the distance of the map.

Update 2: xDevilsMagiic posted his way of doing. Seeing as it might help some, I couldn't help but post it.

He says: "For this I used shock jockey trap over and over, where you spawn. As you seem to get more shocks that when and you don't have to shock an enemy you can sit there zoomed in, also had the 40% chance when killing an enemy you get salts."
wave fifteen (15)
Defeat each enemy with a different vigor type
This is the hardest one for this wave and one of the hardest for the achievement. Definitely buy a respawn. (Booker's door) There are two handymans and one patriot. What I did was charged the patriot and and killed it. Then for one handyman, I used murder of crows with return to sender . For the last one, I weakened him and then finished him off with devil's blast.

Update 2: xDevilsMagiic posted his way of doing. Seeing as it might help some, I couldn't help but post it.

He says "You should take burning halo off when you’re near to killing the handyman, just to make sure it doesn't count as devils kiss."

This is key and I have posted a warning of this above. Always check gears when vigors need to be used for a blue ribbon.

Duke and Dimwit Theater

Wave one (1)
Defeat all enemies using a shotgun
Grab a shotgun and take the skyrail to the opposite building that the enemies are on and clear them out. If you run low on ammo, go back to the building you spawned at and there should be a tear with some of them there. I also recommend a respawn life for beginners on this one.
Wave two (2)
Defeat two enemies with a possessed patriot
There is one right when you spawn. Possess it with possession and get two enemies to get killed by the possessed patriot.
Wave three (3)
Cause three firemen to explode in mid-air
When you start, stay where you are and turn left. Let the firemen come up the building toward you and then simply use bucking bronco and fire your hand cannon like crazy. If the bucking bronco wears off, use it again. Just be careful because too much damage and the firemen will suicide and blow up.
Wave four (4)
Damage 5 enemies with a vigor trap
This took some tries but I ended up just throwing a devil's kiss at the building when it stopped and a got it. You could also fully upgrade the crow and use it too. This just requires you to be more close to the enemies in the building.
Wave five (5)
Defeat the wave in under :45 seconds
Have the Sniper Rifle and Hand Cannon ready. When you start, look right and down, snipe the sniper enemy. After that, Immediately turn around and jump on the skyline going left and get off on the building where the enemies where on during the first wave. Three or four guys will follow you and jump off the skyline. Shoot them all and run towards the opposite side of the building your on. Across from you is the last enemy, a sniper. Snipe him and if you were quick enough, the blue ribbon is yours.
Wave six (6)
Defeat the handyman while he is electrocuting the skyline
Simply weaken the handyman until he has a sliver of health. Jump on the skyline and wait for him to yell "Get off of that". He will then jump up and electrocute the skyline. Jump off and finish him off while he is still attached to the skyline.
Wave seven (7)
Defeat 5 enemies using Undertow
Simple: Just wait for the patrol boat to come by and use the force, er... again! I mean water..... (Undertow vigor)
Wave eight (8)
Defeat two enemies with a possessed rocket turret
There will be a boat that has a rocket turret beneath it. Just possess it and let it kill two enemies.
Wave nine (9)
Defeat all enemies with a different weapon or different vigor
Easy. just use different weapons and vigor to kill each enemy. Don't use anything twice!!!!!
Wave ten (10)
Compete the wave using only Charge, Return to Sender, and the shotgun
Another easy one. Just make sure to use the required items.

Update 2: xDevilsMagiic posted his way of doing. Seeing as it might help some, I couldn't help but post it.

He says: "Compete the wave using only Charge, Return to Sender, and the shotgun
Take any gear off that has an effect (e.g. Burning Halo), and watch out for the volley kill with friendly fire."

Again, this is key. Check your gears on waves that uses vigors for blue ribbon challenges.
Wave eleven (11)
Defeat the patriot with a possessed enemy
It's key here to weaken the patriot, otherwise he will just kill all possessed enemies you throw at him. Weaken him, then possess an enemy that can kill him.
Wave twelve (12)
Defeat all enemies with vigor traps
Most people believe you have to lay a trap on the floor. Not true!!!! Use return to sender, hold "LT" so the blue orb becomes orange/yellow. Aim at the enemy and fire it so that it hits him directly. It will still count as a trap kill!!!!!!
Wave thirteen (13)
Defeat 5 enemies with a single devil's kiss
This is another difficult one. I simply threw one devils kiss up to the top of the building all the enemies are on and I got it. You have to aim and throw it though right when the wave starts for this to work. Too late, you miss the opportunity. Bad aim, and you miss your shot. Usually two enemies will jump down but I will still get exactly the last five who are up there. You could also try to throw multiple devil's kiss shots, but this ribbon calls for one! Took me some time to realize this.
Wave fourteen (14)
Defeat the handyman with a Tesla coil
This is easy but time consuming. Weaken the hangman until he has a little bit of health left. Then activate the tear with the coil and run around it. Eventually the handyman will play tag with you until he gets shocked to death.
wave fifteen (15)
Complete the wave in under 1:30
This is the second hardest one for this wave (next to wave 13) and one of the hardest for the achievement. Definitely buy a respawn. (Booker's door) Before you start this wave. Have Undertow equipped, and murder of crows behind it. I had an rpg for this but never used it. When the wave starts jump to the next boat and use undertow to clear all enemies on the next couple of boats. This is crucial as it really saves time! Jump up from boat to boat and then to the Zeppelin. Now swap for murder of crows and run into the ship. Send the crows towards all the enemies in the ship, run for the engine. Cut the engine, turn right and there is a door opened. Run to it and jump out. Don't worry about the rest of the enemies or that you might die or respawn when you jump out. As soon as you jump out, you win! The wave is finished despite enemies still being alive.

Please Note: I received a tip from xDevilsMagiic that all enemies must be defeated before cutting the engine and jumping from the Zeppelin. My Strategy above did work for me, but I guess it is not working for others. So to be on the safe side, I suggest we follow xDevilsMagiic's advice and defeat every enemy before jumping out. This also requires a different strategy.

Start the wave with Undertow equipped and murder of crows in the back. Have the handcannon and rpg ready to go. Now, before you start - you have 1:30. It doesn't sound like a whole lot of time but it is if you don't fall over a boat or get yourself killed. I still recommend having a extra life. (Booker's Door) However, if you die once you most likely won't make it in time for the ribbon. So short story made short: Stay focus, know where the enemies are. So when you start there will be 4 boats including the one you are on. Let's say your on boat 1 and the next one's are 2,3, etc. Boat 3 and 4 have enemies on them. Jump from boat 1 to boat 2, and use Undertow to clear all enemies off the boats. Proceed to jump to boat 3 and then boat 4. Now before you jump onto the Zeppelin, there is one normal soldier by the hook you have to attach to in order to get onto the zeppelin and one rpg soldier guarding the door you need to get into the zeppelin. Take the jump and get on the zeppelin. IMMEDIATELY use the hand cannon on the normal soldier, switch to the rpg. Run halfway towards the door with the rpg soldier and fire your rpg to blow him th kingdom come. (An alternative depending upon if the rpg soldiers back is directly to the rail of the zeppelin is to use undertow and launch him off the boat) Now switch to murder of crows, run into the zeppelin and launch the crows at all the enemies. Take out your hand cannon and take out all soldiers while they are distracted by the crows. When they are all defeated, cut the engine quick and jump out the door to the right. DON"T FORGET: You simply can't just cut the engine for the wave to end. YOU MUST turn right where there will be a door with a red buzzer buzzing above it and jump out. Don't worry that you might die (you won't) or that you might pop back on the boat. If you did it right, the wave will automatically end and you get the ribbon if you made the time. IF HOWEVER, you pop up back on the boat, it might mean you forgot to kill a enemy or two.......

Remember patience and focus is key. Don't try this if your to stressed out, it won't help and will only earn yourself a broken tv or controller.......

Update 2: It appears that if the enemies are on the Zeppelin and you cut the engine and jump out the door; the zeppelin will blow up and kill ONLY the enemies who are on the ZEPPELIN! I took this into account during the original guide, I just forgot to mention that the zeppelin does indeed blow up anything on board after you make the jump.

Thank You xDevilsMagiic for updating this for me. Credit for tip goes to him.

Raven's Dome

Wave one (1)
Defeat all enemies with the sky-hook melee
Easy. All the enemies are rookies and you can get this by just pressing "Y" and whacking them with your sky-hook.
Wave two (2)
Defeat all the enemies with the pistol
Just like it says, grab a pistol and shoot. Easier if it's upgraded! Don't use anything but the pistol.
Wave three (3)
Defeat all enemies using only the Undertow vigor
Simply use undertow only. If you run out of salt, there is some in the building with the roof and a square hole in it. It's in the second room.
Wave four (4)
Defeat all enemies with a vigor traps
It's your preference. I choose to use return to sender with the trick I mentioned above. Murder of Crows works great too.
Wave five (5)
Defeat the Handyman before any other enemy
Kill the handy man first. This is the only time I unequipped Burning halo because it would effect anyone near the handyman. Keep your distance and use fully upgraded charge. This one might take a couple of tries.
Wave six (6)
Defeat 5 enemies via friendly fire
I used machine turret tears to kill the enemies. If the blew one up I would activate another tear and wait for the machine turret to come back. You could also use fully upgraded possession as they will suicide and it will count as friendly fire.
Wave seven (7)
Defeat the Volley Gunners and Zealots before any of the Snipers
Just follow instructions and make sure not to kill the snipers until last.

Update 2: xDevilsMagiic posted his way of doing. Seeing as it might help some, I couldn't help but post it.

He says: "Take the skyline up to where the Tesla coil would be, it has the bird cages hanging down from the building, this is where both volleys and zealots spawn. Take them out now when I did this i killed 1 sniper then the hand cannon so I believe the hand cannon counts as a sniper?"

To answer the question, I believe there are two snipers. Kill them last. If one has a hand cannon instead then I don't know. The sniper must of picked it up and it would still count as a fail because it calls for KILLING SNIPERS last. Even if the sniper has a hand cannon, his "class" is still a sniper. If it helps, wait for Elizabeth to call out "Sniper", that way you will know. His first instructions to take the skyline to the leaf/grass/bird cage area is spot on. This is where the zealots and volley gunners start off at. Go here first!!!
Wave eight (8)
Defeat all enemies with turrets or environmental hazards
This one is just time consuming and will require a lot of maneuvering. Simply activate tears with oil spills, Tesla Coils, and Turrets and have them kill all the enemies.

Update 2: For Raven's Dome, mission 8, I believe I used the tesla coil to destroy most of the enemies. For the most part I kept running around the tesla coil trying to lure enemies to it. Now for the ones that were not chasing me down, usually the rpg soldiers, I would activate turrets and have them shoot them. If the rpg people destroy the turret, simply activate another tear and wait for the turret tear to reappear. Then just rinse and repeat. This was how I did it. You could use oil or something but I personally found this harder.

Also, my friend Kugare says

"Wave 8:
the tesla coil killed all my enemys... it's better to stay in the middle of the tree/leaf building, because if you wait in front of the tesla coil, explosive bullets from the section below can hit other shocked enemys... use the skyline to lure your enemys, just jump back into the tree building, run around the corners and the tesla coild do the job... the enemys with the explosive weapon (i don't know to correct translation, sorry ^^") stays most of the time in the lower section and try to hit you from the distance...but if you hide behind the turret/at the end of the room, they use the skyline sooner or later... and they land in the near of the tesla coil." Thanks Kugare!
Wave nine (9)
Defeat all enemies in :60 seconds using Vigor only
Undertow is your friend here. Keep using Undertow to throw enemies off boats and firemen off building. Takes practice, but its not as hard as it sounds.

Update 2: For Raven's Dome Wave 9: You have 1 minute exactly to kill all enemies. Equip undertow!!! This was how I did it: when the wave starts you are on a boat heading to the building with trees, leaves, etc. To the left of the building is the sky rail. As soon as you can jump on it, do it. Then immediately jump off into the center of the tree/leaf building. Now if you face towards the center if the map there will be a boat with two (2) - three (3) guys. Use undertow to kill them. Now run towards the boat and get to the building with the ceiling with a square hole in it. It's directly across from the tree/leaf building. Go inside and wait in the room with the square hole in the ceiling. Note: there is a salt tear in the next room if you need it. Now i this room, there are two exits, one door to the next room with the salt tear and the other big entrance facing the opposite side of the map you started the wave on. Outside there will be more boats that launch enemies here including firemen. Use undertow to launch them off the building. After this, there will be usually one more guy above you on the ceiling. Use undertow to launch him off and the ribbon is yours. Keep in mind that this must be done quick but with precision. I myself when playing this round did not focus on enemy count. I just practiced this route and it worked for me. Also, all of the enemies get off the boats eventually. None spawn in the buildings, so if you can memorize where the boats are, it will give you the advantage because you know where the enemies might be and in what buildings.... Hope this helps M8te! ;) Good luck!

Also my friend Kugare says
"Wave 9:
now i know my mistake... i started and waited below the ships, but it's a bad postion, because you have to wait until some of the enemys jumps down... your tip with the tree/ leaf building as starting position is very usefull, because you can use underlow to kill them immediately, if you stay in a higher position... i was 3 seconds to short the first try, but only because i need to much time killing the last guy... but now this challenge looks "easy"."

Thanks for the tips Kugare!

Wave ten (10)
Take no damage for :30 seconds
Easiest blue ribbon to get. When the wave starts turn around and find cover but DO NOT SHOOT. Wait 30 Seconds, get the ribbon, and then survive the wave!
Wave eleven (11)
Defeat all enemies with the shotgun
Simply kill enemies with just the shotgun. Helps if you have it fully upgraded.
Wave twelve (12)
Defeat the wave without picking up any weapons or looting any corpses
This one is a repeat. Just kill enemies without picking up weapons or looting corpses. Looting is for thieves.
Wave thirteen (13)
Defeat all enemies while they are distracted by a Booker decoy tear
This is another difficult one. I had quite some trouble with this one. One building has a patriot and two snipers and one decoy. Another building has one patriot and a decoy. I choose to activate the decoy and get rid of the snipers first as they are the weakest and it only takes on to two shots to kill them. Then I defeated the patriot and moved on to the next building, activated the decoy and got rid of the last patriot. Two thing important here. 1:Before you shoot, make sure they are facing the decoy and not you! 2: You can weaken the enemy without losing the blue ribbon, but they must be killed when they are distracted by the decoy! CRUCIAL!!!!
Wave fourteen (14)
Defeat each enemy with the weapon type it yields
The only fact that matters is that you kill the enemy with the weapon they hold. The enemies hold three weapons: 1: Shotguns, 2: Machine Guns, 3: RPGs. My biggest tip is to bring in two of the three weapons from the armory as it makes it a lot easier. You could daredevil it and find the weapons in the map. RPGs are by the stairs on the building with the grass and leaves. The Machine gun is in the back of the building with you spawn in. Last but not least, the Shotguns are in the building with the ceiling with the square hole in it. (The roof one of the snipers was on for the decoy wave.)
wave fifteen (15)
Defeat each enemy with a different weapon
This is the second hardest one for this wave (next to wave 13... again) and one of the hardest for the achievement. Definitely buy a respawn. (Booker's door) Before you start this wave. Have hand cannon and rpg equipped. There are three enemies, 1 handyman and 2 firemen. Just kill the handyman with the rpg. Then kill a fireman with the hand cannon. Grab another gun, and defeat the last fireman with it.

Emporia Arcade

Wave one (1)
Defeat an enemy who is in mid-air with a possessed motorized patriot.
Kill all the enemies except one patriot and maybe two soldiers. Now use bucking bronco on the soldiers and possess the patriot. It might help to weaken the soldiers before trying this though.
Wave two (2)
Defeat two enemies on a skyline with vigor traps
This one was hard. I used the Return to Sender trick I mentioned by holding "LT" and firing the orange orb trap at the enemies who were on the skylines. What I did was I eliminated all the enemies but four of them. Also Get rid of the rocket ones first. There are two of those soldiers and they won't go on the skyline. Then just keep moving to avoid fire and try to eliminate the soldiers on the skylines with return to sender traps.
Wave three (3)
Defeat the wave with environmental hazards or support brought in through tears.
I don't know what they mean by support cause I went through the whole map and the only tear I could use was the Tesla Coil. So activate that and run around the map. Try to lure all the enemies within range of the Tesla Coil. This takes patience and will be time consuming but it's not too hard.
Wave four (4)
Defeat the wave using a different weapon or vigor on every enemy
We've done this three times. Just keep using different weapons and vigor. NO REPEATS!!!
Wave five (5)
Defeat both handymen while they are electrocuting the skyline
Please note that you don't have to kill both of them while both are electrocuting the skyline! I myself weakened one, jumped on the skyline, and had him electrocute it as I jumped off. Then I shot him while he was on the skyline. Then I just rinse and repeat with the other handyman.
Wave six (6)
Defeat all enemies while only using the shotgun
Same routine. We've also done this two or three times. Only difference is the enemies are harder and have Sniper Rifles. Two Shots and you out! And that's with me being fully upgraded.
Wave seven (7)
Defeat two enemies with the fireman's suicide explosion
This is the Hardest One yet! Why? Because as I write this right now I still don't have this ribbon, yet I managed to get the achievement. I have every blue ribbon but this one. Still, I have a strategy. Use Undertow to grab a fireman and a soldier. Shoot the fireman quick with your hand cannon and hopefully you will get one down. Now just rinse and repeat.

Update 2: Yes I finally got this one. It took me 2 hours and about 9-12 tries to get. To answer your question: No you do not need to kill two guys with one suicide explosion. It can be one fireman and a soldier and then another. I followed my own guide and used undertow to grab one fireman AND (cant stress this enough) a soldier. Immediately swap to murder of crows and fire crows to keep both in place. Them hand cannon the fireman like crazy but don't shoot the soldier. After the crows leave the fireman will explode and you have one down. Now just rinse and repeat. Note: their are 3 firemen, so you have three chances!!!! Also, I waited underneath the building with the two floors until the firemen and soldiers jumped off the boat. This is a tricky one and takes patience and a little luck. For me again, this was definitely the hardest even more then duke and dimwit wave 13. Hope this helps and good luck!!!! ;)

Also sometimes the firemen will explode with it counting as a suicide explosion kill. Make sure the firemen has a bomb icon that blinks quickly as he is about to explode. He should also be running at you, thus making it a "suicidal explosion". If he isn't running but charging and about to explode, it usually means you didn't shoot him fast enough..... Hope this also helps and thanks for involuntarily reminding me. ;)

Update 3: I received an excellent tip from a good friend of mine, Alcapwn6969.

He says: "Note on 4-7: it looks like this ribbon can glitch to count towards your achievement even if you don't get it.

Wave eight (8)
Defeat the wave in 1:20
Have Charge equipped. Start the wave and activate the tear above the boat for a freight hook. Jump on the boat and kill the patriot or charge him. Jump on to the tear hook and onto the building. Kill the soldiers and then jump off and finish the last patriot. I ran out of health and salt on this one, so it's tricky.
Wave nine (9)
Defeat the siren before destroying the Zeppelin
When the wave starts, find cover. Wait for two patrol boats to come and eliminate the six soldiers. I suggest having a Sniper Rifle for this part. After they are killed, jump on the first boat and the on to the next. Now find cover and take out the soldier and the patriot before proceeding to jump onto the Zeppelin. Now enter the Zeppelin, kill the soldiers and take out the siren with charge and the burning halo combo. Then cut the engine and jump out of the plane. Done.
Wave ten (10)
Defeat all enemies using the Sniper Rifle
Definitely, definitely, definitely get a respawn. (Booker's door) Start the wave and loads of soldiers will come to you. So just find cover and shoot the best you can. Now you most likely will run out of ammo. I tried finding a sniper rifle tear but couldn't find one. So I let them kill me and I respawned with more ammo. Please note, as soon as you respawn, turn around facing Booker's Door and buy another respawn. This way you can get enough ammo to win the blue ribbon for this wave.
Wave eleven (11)
Defeat all enemies while they are distracted by a Booker tear decoy
This can be difficult for some. There are two decoys and your up against just two handyman. What I did was activate a decoy tear and waited for the handymen to come. Then I used murder of crows and kept shooting them with the RPG or Hand cannon until they both died. Just make sure the final blow is when they are facing the decoy! Keep moving around and collect as much health and salt as needed.

Update 2: According to Revolver Ned, If one of the handyman shots his blue orb of electricity at another when it's weak AND kills the other handyman - it will count as friendly fire but still ALLOW you to get the blue ribbon WITHOUT PENALTY!

Also worth noting is as you start this wave, you will immediately have one handyman to the left of you (left of the map) and one handyman on the right. (right of the map) The one on the left will shoot an orb at you as soon as the wave starts, so here is an additional tip. As soon as the wave starts, turn around and run into the second floor building. Jump onto the skyline and then find a safe place to land and plan a strategy. Or use mine, it's up to you.... :) Thanks Revolver Ned for the tip. Credit for the tip goes to him.
Wave twelve (12)
Defeat all soldiers and zealots with bucking bronco followed by a charge
There are some patriots here, but you can ignore them first or take them out first. Either way, after just use bucking bronco on the soldiers and zealots and finish them with charge.

Update 2: Shand Alk3 says: "Sorry to bother you again, but I have a new issue...Emporia Arcade Wave 12. The first enemy I come across (A crow) I use Bucking Bronco followed immediately with Charge and the moment charge hits him, it's an instant fail! I've tried charging it before I let it go, I made sure he doesn't fall off the edge. Yet, the moment I hit him..fail. The only explanation is that if you do it, it HAS to kill him. But why would that even be a requirement? One time I did it and he didn't die from it, but it still failed me when I hit him. Ugh, this is giving me headaches and uncertainty about if this is even possible with all these bugs."

To address this problem, Make sure to unequip all gear that will affect your vigors like Burning Halo, Overkill, and Brittle Skinned.
Wave thirteen (13)
Defeat enemies with the same weapons that they are wielding
I don't know what is up with wave 13's but this one was tough too. The best tactic: Use Return to Sender to shield you. After the two woman with the pistols are killed and the shotguns guys are dead, jump to the first boat that was there when the wave started. (Booker's Door)

Update 2: Shand Alk3 posted a suggestion that might help some people. He says "I DID, however, find an easy win for Emporia Arcade Wave 13! Start with the Shotgun and Machine Gun and buy a life beforehand. At Start kill all the shotugun enemies and the machine gunners. (leave the pistol girls alone). Once you do that you will see the other boats coming for you. At this point, just let them kill you. Once youre in the "office" DO NOT PRESS X! Apparently they can see where you are and they will attempt to jump down after you, effectively killing them from Freefall. It won't void the ribbon! After maybe a minute there will be 2 guys left..both of them machine gunners. Just spawn and kill 'em..BOOM!" Hope this helps some. Thanks for the tip Shand Alk3!

Update 3: Here is another possible solution given to me by MCMAHON x RFC:

He says "I just unlocked this achievement and I have a really easy way to complete emporia arcade wave 13 for anyone who is struggling.

Okay before the wave starts buy an revive just in case. As soon as the wave starts go out to the balcony and drop down to the bottom turn around and go inside. Stay here and watch as all the enemies fall to their death. I only had to kill the last 3 and they were all machine guys and they stayed on the ship the whole time."

The only problem that might occur to some is sometimes when you fall, you automatically respawn up on top on the second floor. But supposedly there is a place where you can jump to the bottom floor . Go underneath the second floor and most of the enemies will jump down and kill themselves. After there will be two or tree enemies to take out, usually three machine gunners. Easy if you go in with a machine gun in the armory.

Thanks Again to MCMAHON x RFC. Awesome find M8te! :)
Wave fourteen (14)
Defeat the handyman with a Motorized patriot tear
Not as hard as it sounds. Just weaken the handyman, activate the motorized patriot when its weak and have it finish him off.
wave fifteen (15)
Defeat the siren before she resurrects an enemy
I thought this would be hard but it was easy. Just turn around when the wave starts and walk towards the opposite side you spawned at. Have Undertow equipped, and soon A siren will appear. She will try to resurrect some bodies. Just position yourself so that you can use undertow to launch the bodies over the building. The ribbon unlocked right after this. I didn't even have to defeat her.

Thank you sir. You were spot on about the length of this achievement and why I needed to make this guide seem similar yet different. There was no way I could change the task each blue ribbon called for and this was the only thing "copied" other then the numbers and negative vote comments. Plus I did give credit and Ill say it again: guide formatting credit goes to The Kudi Zone.

But thanks SedateRial. It's nice to see that some people appreciate my help. Cause that's what this guide is for, to help people. And your right, now people can see and try out different strategies. ;)

Better than the other guys thread. You actually give tips and strategies.

His is bullshit "Wave challenge kill while distracted with the decoy" well use the decoy. Doesn't help in the slightest.

Any more tips for D&D wave 13? I can't get it no matter how many times I try, it's the last one I need for the achievement too

@TexasHONZ: Thank You for the feedback. I do admit that his guide is lacking some strategies so that is why I decided to make my own. Some of his stuff helped me out though too though. Hopefully he will update his like I will mine.

@TwiK999: This one was a tough one. I tried it at least 5-7 times. How I did it was by aiming and firing devil's kiss quickly up on the small circular building from where you start the wave from. You could try using murder of crows so they still and bunched together and then throw a devil's kiss. Or another alternative is to use immediately run from spawn, use charge to get up there and then quickly switch and use devil's kiss. The best tip I can give is you want to keep them together and the best place for this is the building that they are all on at spawn. Keep in mind too that ONLY ONE (1) DEVIL'S KISS can be used and it must affect and kill 5 enemies. Ironically, when I did it, I threw 2-3 of them up there and I actually finally got the ribbon. A little bit of luck and skill.

xDevilsMagiic: Thank you also for your feedback, I had a feeling someone would say something about this wave. To tell you the truth, My strategy worked for me. There were people in the Zeppelin when I jumped out, but it finished the wave and still gave me the ribbon. However I did hear from some including yourself now that all enemies must be eliminated before cutting the zeppelin's engine and jumping out. I will edit this to include this information and give you credit for the tip and advice. Once again, thank you my friend.

@Revolver Ned: Sure. There are two decoys. What I did was weaken both of them and keep running around the map. For some reason, one handyman would stay on the one side of the map and the other would chase me on the other side. It was only when I went to the the other handyman would he start attacking me. Make sure that they are facing the decoy and not you before you kill them. Also, if they keep going near each other, keep running away and keeping a distance from them. Usually one will be faster then the other, activate the decoy quickly, wait for him to get distracted and kill him before the other one comes. If he does come, run away again. Rinse and repeat. I know this isn't a easy ribbon and this advice might be tough but it will work if your focused! ;)

@Shand Alk3: your taking the right precautions. It's easier to get rid of the machine gun and shotgun guys first, that way if you can avoid splash damage from the rpg. As for the rpg not counting against an rpg? I have no idea what's up? Are you using THE RPG and not the volley gun or other bazooka? Make sure you have the right gun. I'm sure you'll get it soon! ;)

@Revolver Ned: Good Job and congrats! What do you mean by friendly fire of handyman. Are you saying it counts towards the ribbon or it doesn't count towards the ribbon? Are you using possession on the handyman? I can add it, just need more clarification. Nice job getting the ribbon though! ;)

Thank you sir for the quick reply. Alright then will do so. Closest I got was one fireman and two girls right next to him I kept on using MOC while I was damaging the firemen with the Handcannon, then he explodes but the two girls were still alive dammit, so annoying haha.

@BLAZE VII: your welcome. You reminded me that normally I would weaken the soldier but the MOC should take care of that. Hope this also helps and thanks for involuntarily reminding me. ;)

Raven's Dome - Wave 8
the two enemys with the explosive weapon always hit someone and let the challenge fail... do you have a good strategy to kill these guys fast? if one of them got stuck near the turret, the other one also hit this guy, because he try to destroy the turret. =/

Wave 9
it's the time based challenge... i have no idea in which order they appear... i can kill them easily with undertow, but i waste to much time with searching for my enemys... is there a good position to wait or something like a killing order?

Sorry to bother you again, but I have a new issue...Emporia Arcade Wave 12. Ugh, this is giving me headaches and uncertainty about if this is even possible with all these bugs.

btw i can't understand why someone would give this solution a thumbs down... probably some people are just frustrated or they envy you for your unlocked Blue Ribbon Champ achievement. xD

anyway... + 1 for this solution and thx for sharing your experience.

@GD Great Healer: This is a very tricky maneuver because you risk the enemies with different guns killing each other and costing you the ribbon, Even with possession fully upgraded. If you pull it off though, great job. Thank you for this tip. Seeing as this is more trickier to pull off, I'll leave it here in the comments for now. This should be a blue ribbon challenge in itself....

@MCMAHON x RFC: Thank you for the clarification! :) Also, where exactly do you mean to hide during Empiria Wave 13 Specifically? I'd like to post your tip, but I'm troubled by what you mean? I understand you have to go to the bottom central floor, but is there somewhere you have to hide specifically: I.E. A corner, the back door, front pillar, etc. Thanks and can't wait for the tip!!! ;)

She may be wielding the hand cannon but she's still sniper class. Leave her alone until you dispatch the two volley gunners and the zealot. I just possess the volley guys one at a time, and I shock the zealot and follow with two hand cannon headshots.

GD Great Healer, THANK YOU!! Finally got Raven's Dome 14.

Brought the shotgun and machine gun. Jumped off the back of the boat (as in the CouchCouple video), used Undertow to pull them to me one-by-one. If it was an RPG I'd possess him, if it was one of the others I'd kill them with their weapon. Worked like a charm!

Possession could go wrong if you possess a guy in a crowd of others, but the one-by-one Undertowing bypasses that problem.

I was struggling with Emporia 13 (I tried it the stay in respawn room way, but would always have 4 machine gunners who would stay on the ships). Once I realised you can use bucking bronko on the enemies and when they drop back down, if they fall off the map and die, it doesn't count towards a fail, I only needed to shoot the last one (Using bucking bronco to keep him from shooting me whilst I ound the damn gun)

@TerryLudden: whatever gets the ribbon. Glad you got it though! ;) this is true, usually three or four machine gunners will stay on the boat. But that helps shooters if they have a machine gun cause every enemy has one. Two strategies are great because it gives gamers options as to which technique suits them. Thanks for the tip!!!!

MCMAHON x RFC's tip is not working for me on Emporia wave 14. I'm unable to drop down without the game respawning me up top, as if I had freefallen off the map. Just before I hit the ground I get yanked back up. McMahon, can you be more specific as to exactly where you drop down?

I know that both waves have the boats and you start up at top, but I thought I might make a note because maybe this only works on wave 13. That or maybe z 4assed monkey meant Emporia Arcade wave 13? Either way, can you confirm if this works for both Emporia Wave 13 AND 14!!! Thanks!!!!!!! ;)

Yes, I'm sorry, I misspoke above. I did mean Emporia wave 13.

Thank you for clarifying, Alpha Wesker 5! He's jumping from a boat... thanks for describing which boat, now I know for sure. It's funny, in the video he is getting respawned before hitting the ground, but he's spawning on the lower level.

But yeah, the video would be really helpful if it took us from the start of the wave, through the fall, unedited.

This is much more helpful, thank you! I actually got it before you uploaded the new video, thanks to Alpha's description.

Actually I messed it up, but I think because I died falling off the boat near that area, I then lucked into the situation Shand Alk3 described, with enemies freefalling to their deaths as you wait behind the resurrection door without pressing X. I killed no one before I died fumbling about on that boat, so it went from 15 to 3 enemies that way. The remaining 3 were the machine gunners still on the boats. Achievement unlocked!!

Incidentally, I'm another beneficiary of the you-only-need-59 glitch. I have not earned the Blue Ribbon for Emporia wave 7, yet I have the achievement. It's possible the game gifted me an imaginary undisplayed ribbon for 4-7, but I didn't notice that the in-game achievement counter was one ahead of my blue ribbon count until this happened:

After earning Hand of the Prophet for completing Emporia Arcade, I went back to clean up blue ribbons. I had completed for the first time Raven's Dome 13 (Booker decoy tear with Patriots and snipers), but in a later wave -- I can't remember if it was 14 or 15 -- I got so frustrated that I quit to main menu. Without letting the game load the Columbian Archeological Society to get an autosave there, the next time I played the game my ribbon for 3-13 was absent, which made sense. But when I re-earned it, I could swear that's when the counter went ahead by one.

Lucky for me I don't have to labor over 4-7. :]

On wave 7 of Emporia Arcade, the undertow pull + murder of crows combo with a handcannon is the way to go. I undertow pulled a Fireman and a gunner off the first boat, murder of crows, shot the fireman to zero health before they got out of crows. As soon as he got out, he blew up and killed the gunner. I repeated this when the second boat came (actually got a gunner + 2 Firemen that time), and unlocked the achievement.

I tried the other method maybe 3 or 4 times, and never even got close. Did it this way and unlocked it first time :)

@Franco 4 127hrs: Make sure you have Burning Halo or any gear unequipped because this will make using charge count as having a charge/devils kiss combo because of the fire melee hits. But no, if you have charge fully upgraded, it shouldn't alter the ribbon. If the ribbon asks for shotgun and charge for example. Make sure to only use charge with gears unequipped to be on the safe side. I hope this helps, if not: get back to me. I'm always willing to help!!!! ;)

Just did this achievement and wanted to say that on 4-13 i just used Undertow and pushed people off, there was a couple of machine gunners left over so take that with you just in case, but you don't need to wait in the revive part or do some weird jump to the lower level. Just push them all off for free fall kills

Honestly, the only thing I "copied" was the format in which I gave credit to The Kudi Zone. Beside that, I gave my own ideas and strategy. You want proof: read it! There were some ideas I used that were not in The Kudi Zone's guide. And btw, it took me hours to make this. Not one tip is word for word the same as The Kudi Zone. Sorry The Kudi Zone btw. Nice guide, I just wanted to give more insight and different tips....

Emporia Arcade - Wave 7:

So Alpha did you get this done by now!? Reading your description/solution means I only need to grab two pairs at the time (1 fireman/ 1 soldier) then rinse and repeat. I thought you have to get two soldier kills with one fireman-explosion. Sorry for that but I can't get it done. This is one of two last challenges I need. Thx in advance!

By BLAZE VII on 02 Aug 2013 19:24
@BLAZE VII: Yes I finally got this one. It took me 2 hours and about 9-12 tries to get. To answer your question: No you do not need to kill two guys with one suicide explosion. It can be one fireman and a soldier and then another. I followed my own guide and used undertow to grab one fireman AND (cant stress this enough) a soldier. Immediately swap to mirder of crows and fire crows to keep both in place. Hope this helps and good luck!!!! ;)

@Kugare: For Raven's Dome, mission 8, I believe I used the tesla coil to destroy most of the enemies.

For Raven's Dome Wave 9: You have 1 minute exactly to kill all enemies.

I DID, however, find an easy win for Emporia Arcade Wave 13! Just spawn and kill 'em..BOOM!

The glitch that Alcapwn6969 is talking about is something to do with with emporia wave 8.

Yep it's glitchy.

@z 4assed monkey: I myself didn't know the boat went around. Good tip. I'm more of the run and gun guy, hence my walkthrough.

I agree with your precaution to not kill the sniper or hand cannon just in case.

@xDevilsMagiic: I understand what your saying about the hand cannon lady. That is why I posted your tip for those who have similar issues. For me personally, I had a Zealot, two volley gunners, and two Snipers with sniper rifles!!!! This is key! I would try your theory but my enemies did not have a hand cannon or maybe they switched it up? I don't know. So I used precaution much like z 4assed monkey suggests. This is not a bad strategy, neither is yours. So I kept both up there. No quarrels, your both right!!! ;)

Thank you for trying to help, but you don't show us how to get to that spot from the spawn. Starting at point B isn't helpful; starting from point A would be. Just failed it again as I have no clue where you are - I haven't found the position you show only in the first 10 frames of the video.

Ive been stuck on Emporia Arcade Round 5 for 3 hours now... Nearly everytime i try to do the challenge, one of the handymen just kind of disappear, following the exploding beeps. THe challenge doesnt fail when he dies oddly enough, so youd think that this would make the challenge easier? Well, When i kill the other dude exactly the way im suppose to, then the challenge fails??? Oh joy. Nothing sucks more than replaying the first 4 waves over and over again just to be cheated on your achievement by a glitch on the 5th wave... over and over again.

When your vigor upgrades forbid you to use Charge in Duke and DImwit-10 you should clear out the shotgun baddies that will follow you up the hill once you release a shot into nowhere from your spawn. then go ahead and get rid of the 3 simple bandits on the boats( watch out you dont accidently skiline-strike em like i did plenty of times lol) then use your Return to Sender vigor and hold LT while you hog onto them. This will make them melee you instead of them shooting rockets. WIth the vigor applied they cant hurt you and you can shotgun away at them, 1 by 1. Beware: dont shoot when they are launching rockets, this will always result in a failed try since they get damaged by the explosion of the rocket . Learned it the hard way :)

Normally, copying a format on a guide is not the best strategy but considering the length one would need to help with this achievement, a standard format would prove far more beneficial.

the fact that you wrote different strategies justifies and helps out others quite a bit as you provide some alternatives that the first poster might not see. these alternatives can help out others as it will give them more than one way to approach the problem.

plus this guide has the correct wording and solution for the last challenge. The Kudi Zone states that you need to kill the siren before it resurrects anyone (similar to the first siren challenge you come across), while you have it correct that you just need to blow the bodies over the edge before they are resurrected. (I did leave a comment on the first post, pointing that out as well)

thank you for your strategies and the time you put into them

The Ops Zeal:
Wave fourteen (14)

Defeat the wave using only shock jockey and head shots
For this I used shock jockey trap over and over, where you spawn. As you seem to get more shocks that when and you don't have to shock an enemy you can sit there zoomed in, also had the 40% chance when killing an enemy you get salts.

Wave fifteen (15)
Defeat each enemy with a different vigor type
You should take burning halo off when you’re near to killing the handyman, just to make sure it doesn't count as devils kiss.
Duke and Dimwit Theatre

Wave ten (10)
Compete the wave using only Charge, Return to Sender, and the shotgun
Take any gear off that has an effect (e.g. Burning Halo), and watch out for the volley kill with friendly fire.
Raven's Dome

Wave seven (7)
Defeat the Volley Gunners and Zealots before any of the Snipers
Take the skyline up to where the Tesla coil would be, it has the bird cages hanging down from the building, this is where both volleys and zealots spawn. Take them out now when I did this i killed 1 sniper then the hand cannon so I believe the hand cannon counts as a sniper?

@Alpha Wesker 5
thank you so much.
(maybe this text helps someone)
Wave 8:
the tesla coil killed all my enemys... it's better to stay in the middle of the tree/leaf building, because if you wait in front of the tesla coil, explosive bullets from the section below can hit other shocked enemys... use the skyline to lure your enemys, just jump back into the tree building, run around the corners and the tesla coild do the job... the enemys with the explosive weapon (i don't know to correct translation, sorry ^^") stays most of the time in the lower section and try to hit you from the distance...but if you hide behind the turret/at the end of the room, they use the skyline sooner or later... and they land in the near of the tesla coil.

Wave 9:
now i know my mistake... i started and waited below the ships, but it's a bad postion, because you have to wait until some of the enemys jumps down... your tip with the tree/ leaf building as starting position is very usefull, because you can use underlow to kill them immediately, if you stay in a higher position... i was 3 seconds to short the first try, but only because i need to much time killing the last guy... but now this challenge looks "easy".

I hope Emporia is doable for me. <_<

@MCMAHON x RFC: Thank you for the video link. Some are confused as to the exact location to jump from because you don't show it clearly. Is it possible you can remake another? Also may I post it in the solution if you do?

@z 4assed monkey: While MCMAHON x RFC doesn't show exactly where to jump from, he does show off clues. He also took the time to post the video and I appreciate the thanks you gave. Notice right when he jumps down he is by Booker's door and the left side of the building if your on it facing the center of the map. Before he jumps there is a building with white roman columns and a couple 4 x 4 windows. These columns are holding the left side of the balcony, also the place where you activate the freight hook you need during Emporia Arcade Wave 13. I believe he is making the jump from one of the boats from Emporia Arcade wave 13.. (I believe the last ship docked closest to the left side of the building or RIGHT SIDE IF YOUR FACING THE BUILDING of Emporia Arcade wave 13.) If you load the video to 00:01 on youtube, you can see on the bottom right corner part of the red and black steel part of the boats that come from wave !3 Emporia Arcade. HE IS JUMPING FROM A BOAT!

I'm sure he will clarify this and maybe even make another video, but for now he did give enough visuals to find nearly where he made the jump.

The real question is if it's a glitch that works only for him! I have not tried it myself, but if others do try and it doesn't work, I could only assume that MCMAHON lucked out.

Somehow though I doubt this. Commenter/Gamers please find this out and let me know so I can solve this problem.

Thanks MCMAHON x RFC once again for the video and z 4assed monkey for support and clarification. If we work together....... :

Fantastic guide. +1.

I don't normally use guides but I didn't particularly enjoy CitC so I wanted to eliminate as much trial-and-error as possible. I have a few suggestions, but I'll just leave you with the most important one (I know how much a pain it is to constantly update guides).

For Duke & Dimwit wave 13, the absolute best method is to use a powered-up charge on the armored volley cannon enemy at the gazebo railing to get Booker up there with the group, and then place a Devil's Kiss trap right in the middle of the seven enemies. I haven't seen this strategy posted anywhere (not that I looked terribly long), but it is 100% solid. Just make certain Devil's Kiss is fully upgraded and you are not using the "Storm" gear, as that seems to screw up the flag for the challenge. I managed to kill all seven of them with one trap the first time I attempted this method.

Anyways, thanks for writing such a comprehensive and polished guide. TBH I only used the "Emporia Arcade" section, but the rest looks just as well-written.

This will not be a wave by wave guide as seen by other users, more so it will provide handy tips and tricks that believe me will help you on your way to this achievement, and possibly reduce the time. So please don't vote it down because there may not be a tip that you are looking for or something.

Though I will be talking about certain types of waves which require skill, luck and timing.

Also I would just like to take this opportunity to give huge thanks to The Kudi Zone and Alpha Wesker 5 for their extremely useful solutions that helped me get the achievement and I strongly advise you read through their solutions too.

So here are some tips that will help you:

First and foremost, Undertow. This vigor will really help you get through the waves that you already have ribbons on FAST. Infantry, Firemen or crows can easily be dispatched by throwing them off the edge and believe me the time you save will add up.

As mentioned in the above solutions, Return to sender is VERY helpful for keeping you alive in a sticky situation, so if you are near death with no chance of running, then use Return to sender!

Obviously upgrade all weapons and vigors. You will accumulate more than enough Silver eagles to get them all. By the time I had got the achievement I had just under 400k silver eagles, so yeah.

Gears. Now when going for the ribbons, PLEASE be careful about which gears you are using. Some gears like Burning Halo can void earning ribbons. For example, on the wave where you must kill all enemies with the sniper, I had burning halo equipped. I shot someone and he was electrocuted, therefore voiding the ribbons, which was pretty frustrating.
I found that gears such as "Ammo cap" and "Sky-line reloader" were VERY useful, so utilize them if you can.

Another little tip that may seem obvious is, TAKE A BREAK, even for 10 minutes. Now I was stupid enough to play for 6 hours straight on this and due to this I was extremely lethargic, woozy and felt sick. So please don't do this.

Okay, I really think I should talk about this, because it is probably the thing that gave me the most trouble and that I spent the most time on.
Duke and Dimwit, Wave 13.
Well, what can I say... This. Wave. Is. Hard.
In my eyes it takes skill, perfect timing and a lot of Luck.
So this is how I did it after the 7356387593457th time:
I used the Undertow, Crow method.
When pulling them down, try to bunch them as close as you can together, it seems as if this works better. When you throw the DK, try to throw it Right in the middle of the pack( if you can). This is why this wave is so hard, it has to be perfected.
It is also worth noting that I was not wearing the Storm gear at the time of getting this, I was notified of the fact that Storm may void getting the ribbon, in a comment in another solution. It may be a coincidence, it may not. All I can say is practise until you have perfected it, and good luck on the wave.
I must've spent 6 of the 15/16 hours on that wave alone, so believe me I went crazy when I got it.
Some people have said they got this first or second try, which must have been very lucky. If you are not so lucky, keep trying because you will eventually get it. Out of honesty it must have taken me about 50 or so tries to get this ribbon, so yeah.
If you are failing to get the ribbon with this method heres an alternate method from deluxnugs : "for the duke and dimwitt wave 13 challenge, the easiest and instant way is to: use Charge to get up top with the guys strait away then hit them with 3-4 crow blasts then let them charge you while charging up your fire trap. there will be up to 7 guys and its an everytime thing." Thanks for the extra tips delux :)

For the Decoy tear waves, I worked out that the enemies must have lost sight of you and must be looking/attacking at the decoy for the kills to count. This was most hard on the two Handymen one, mainly because it is not easy to tell when they are distracted, and when they are you have a tiny window of opportunity(of about 2 seconds) in which you can kill them and the game counts them as distracted. This wave was the second hardest in my eyes.
So for the handyman, decoy challenge (Emporia, wave 11 I think), I took the carbine and the RPG. I weakened the handymen until there was virtually no red in their health bar. Then I hung around the skyline, opening the decoys and if a handymen was near the decoy, I prepared and as soon as he turns to it FIRE THE RPG! This takes a lot of luck, it took me about 25 minutes to finish this wave, because the handymen just follow you around and it's very hard to hide from them and distract them. Also I think it's worth noting that the handymen will not be distracted if they see you opening the tear, so as tricky as it sounds, the tear must be opened fairly discreetly. Also, when killing the handymen while distracted, you must be very careful, but fast. As I previously mentioned, you have a tiny window of opportunity in order for the kill to count as distracted. If you don't shoot fast enough, then the handyman will quickly kill the decoy, therefore the kill won't count as being distracted.

The Hail fire is an extremely powerful weapon, especially against handymen and patriots. So I advise you use them as much as possible on the tougher enemies. This is also a good weapon because it fires many shots very fast and is good for getting the killing blow on waves Such as "Kill the handyman while he is electrocuting the skyline".

Okay, "Booker's doors". I suggest you only buy a door on a level that has high chance of death. Mainly because you can only buy three per play through, so they must be bought wisely. For me the levels that have high chance of death, are ones with handymen, snipers, flak cannons and RPGs.

On the wave where you have to defeat all soldiers and zealots(crows) using Bucking Bronco then Charge, be careful when charging at the zealots. Sometimes if you are not facing a wall or building, the charge will send the crow flying forward, and if there is no ground beneath them, they will fall to their death, therefore it won't count as a charge, because he died by freefall, therefore voiding the Ribbon. Another note, I would try to not touch the patriots until all other enemies are dead, because there is a chance that an enemy could be behind the patriot and get hurt, or an enemy could be killed by splash damage therefore voiding the Ribbon.

For the wave where you have to kill two enemies from a Fireman's suicide attack, have Undertow and crows ready. Try to get one fireman and two soldiers with the undertow, if successful, they should be right next to each other, then crow them! While they are crowed, keep shooting the fireman until he is almost dead. This is a little tricky because If you don't crow enough then they will disperse, and if you crow too much then the soldiers will die, making it harder. If you keep crowing, then the fireman should hopefully not run at you with the suicide attack, instead just explode there and then, and hopefully killing the two other dudes. When I first saw the challenge for this I thought "Oh great, this is gonna take forever". But actually, I did it first try haha

If you don't see a tip that you would like to see, please tell me in the comments and I will add what I know.

In conclusion, this achievement will most likely give you grief and possible anger at times. There are certain things that may make you throw your controller at the wall and such. Many people have said that the mechanics or whatever are "Broken". Enemies like the handyman sometimes kill soldiers, which may void getting a ribbon. All in all you will need a fair bit of luck to get this achievement, but if you also use skill, PATIENCE, and determination then you will eventually get this achievement.

This is a video of me doing a speed run of Duke and Dimwit theatre. I put it here because it contains some completions of Blue ribbon challenges.

Blue ribbons in video:
2:30 (Wave 4)
3:40 (Wave 5)

Cheers m8te. Excellent advice, especially on taking a break and using patience and focus. I too started to do terrible after trying a wave 5 hours in for the 2oth time and I too started to notice this. I'm glad you finally got the wave done for Duke and Dimwit Theater wave 13. For the Burning Halo gear, there were times I did need to take this off such as for the other achievement the ol one-two. The burning halo would keep combining with charge giving me a devil's kiss/charge combo. However, For the most part I thought this was the best hat gear. This with charge was devastating towards handyman. Especially the decoy round which you posted with the two handyman. I agree the bullet hat came in handy too!!! :) Good Job!!!

So apparently if they fall or die or whatever it doesn't matter lol i can't believe i only killed 1 enemy with bronco and charge

If they fall and die sometimes it does fail the challenge, well that's what happened to me a few times anyway. But yeah other times they have fell to their death during a challenge and it didn't fail. So it can go either way.

That's how I got Duke and Dimwit, Wave 13. Used Charge to get up there, then used a trap Devil's Kiss, it killed about 6 of them, didn't have to weaken at all.

Got it on my second try, after trying the method of pulling them down, and crows.

Wave 14? That's the one where you have to kill an enemy with a motorized patriot isn't it? If you are talking about the one where you kill each enemy with the weapon it wields, then start with the pistol and shotgun. The hand cannon and machine gun are all on one of the boats, so when getting them use return to sender(blue orb) to stop you from dying. Make sure you distinguish each enemy with the correct weapon. Use the above guides if you still need help.

**Posting this here because it’s by far the most viewed solution for this DLC.

I’m honestly not sure if someone else has found this method or not, so if I’m “stealing” anyone’s thing please let me know.

This is BY FAR the absolute fastest way to earn money in this DLC, you can net the MAX out which is 99,999$ and it only takes about 10 minutes.

-What you need: Possession Vigor, any Round that has a Motorized Patriot on it, and two automatic machine guns (preferably the machine gun with upgraded clip and crank gun)

Okay so go ahead and start up a Round with a Moterized Patriot on it and bring the weapons I noted. Go ahead and kill every single enemy EXCEPT the Patriot. Once the Patriot is the only enemy left, hit him with the Possession Vigor and quickly run behind him and start to unload on the ‘Gear’ on his back, every single time you hit the gear it will automatically give you cash for doing so. Simply continue to do this either until the Patriot barely has any health left, or you run out of ammo. Once that happens let the Patriot kill you and respawn (the continue and forfeit leaderboard stats option). When you respawn it will only be the Patriot again, and he will have full health, your ammo with be replenished, and you keep all the money you already owned.

NOTE: The farther into the DLC you do this, the more money you will earn per hit. I did it on the 3rd map, and was earning 69$ every single time I shot the gear. But even if you do it on the first map, you will still be earning money WAY faster than any other method or even playing legit.

Not only will this provide you with enough $ to buy all the Art, you will be able to buy ALL the weapon upgrades and Vigor upgrades right away thus spending way less time on this DLC.

The other solutions are great, and very useful, but I thought I'd add a few tips as I just went through a bit of hell to get this done, and a few things I learned aren't in the other solutions (some are, but not emphasized). I hope this also contextualizes a path for earning this achievement in a minimally stressful way.

First and foremost - just play through all four maps. You're going to have a very hard time getting blue ribbons on any maps until you meaningfully upgrade your health, shields, salt, vigor, and weapons. You get a lot of money in Emporia Arcade and infusions to improve your stats. Early levels that were challenging will become trivial once you've upgraded everything. I was able to upgrade basically all of the weapons and vigors I regularly used by the time I finished just clearing the maps.

Second, when you're ready to press onto doing blue ribbons, this is how it works: You play a map starting from wave 1 and going to wave 15 (or wherever you want to stop). So, if you only need a ribbon on, say, wave 13, you can literally do whatever you want on waves 1-12, it will not affect what you do on wave 13. You can die, you can fail the blue ribbons, you can just generally clown, whatever suits your mood. But, you'll eventually want to move through the waves as quickly as possible, and that's just killing enemies fast, however you can. The flip side of the the "you can do whatever you want" is that you'll have to, as there's no wave select so you're literally starting from wave 1 over and over to get to the wave you need. Tedious and dire. It is what it is.

A corollary to that is that because you get 3 Booker doors per map (across your run of 15 waves), you may not be able to do all ribbons in one run, especially on the more dangerous levels or where you might need/want to reset the map a bit. Sometimes it may make sense to save your Booker doors for later waves, so at least you're repeating less waves overall. Honestly Booker doors are a minor part of this, overall, as you really need to be good for some of these ribbons and once you are, Booker doors mostly become a sideshow. Naturally, Booker doors reset each time you start the map, so it's 3 per run, not 3 forever.

Some tips on weapons and vigors:

* An underrated weapon is the Hail Fire. It's basically a low damage RPG, but with very fast fire rate. This is my heavy hitter killer. Combined with a decent vigor (Charge for handymen, Undertow for patriots, etc.), this can take down the big enemies FAST.

* IMO, the Sniper Rifle is overrated. There are few things the sniper can do that the Carbine can't do better. Again, fire rate wins, so grab the Carbine.

* Undertow is great for two main things. First, it clears waves you're not working on. That level where you had to make sure to kill 10 guys with traps? Whoosh, you just pushed them all off the map. Second, it's also good for softening up the patriot (he takes a ton more damage while short circuiting) and also for briefly stunning the handyman. Reminder that a quick trigger press will push enemies, long trigger pull will grab and bring enemies to you (the ones that the water tendrils are connected to). You can then use it again immediately to push them, which can be super useful if you're standing on the edge of a platform. (Grab from the boat or platform they're on, then chuck them into the abyss.) Works great for speed runs.

* I like Devil's Kiss, as it seems to do a ton of damage to everyone. Good general purpose damage ability, excellent traps.

* Charge is good at later levels, especially once you upgrade it to get the temporary invulnerability. Very useful for spam-killing handymen with the Hail Fire, as handymen do a lot of damage in a short time, and it's all wiped away if you time the vigor right.

* Didn't really love Return to Sender but it has uses on levels with guys shooting you from multiple directions.

* Possession traps, even if thrown directly at an enemy, seem to last a lot longer than a regular pull.

Now, the levels:

* IMO, the hardest levels by far are the "kill enemies while they are distracted by a decoy" levels. They can be really cheap and annoying, but here's my two tips. First, whittle down the damage of every enemy before you kill it. You want to be able to one-shot them, or close. Second, you want to attack them as soon as they turn towards the decoy - DO NOT WAIT until they are attacking it. At first, I wanted to "be sure" they were attacking the decoy. Forget that. If they change their behavior and start towards the decoy, melt them then and there. Once they destroy the decoy, they immediately shift attention back to you and your kill is a guaranteed fail.

* Speed runs. There's no real method to these, just go fast, Undertow, and know where the enemies are. Expect to fail a few times, which sucks on a wave 15 but that's life (and this achievement) unfortunately.

* On the levels where you need to do something that involves a low number of enemies (fireman explosion kill, possession kills, etc.), don't hesitate to clear half of the wave before you start on the ribbon. Yeah, you might fail if you accidentally kill one of the enemies, but you'll fail if you get dumpstered by a bunch of enemies, too. Also don't hesitate to soften up the enemies that you need to kill, otherwise you could run out of salts before you get the ribbon, and trust me, you don't want to be running all over the map looking for tears or waiting for Elizabeth's dumb ass to scrounge some for you.

* The "different weapon/vigor" waves are harder than the other solutions make it sound, as some have quite a few enemies (and/or tough ones). You might need to plan a path - e.g., on the Duke & Dimwit level, I brought some rarer weapons (Hail Fire and Carbine), shot the soldier with the Carbine, undertowed the zealot, Hail Fired the patriot, and then took the crank gun and machine gun, etc. You may have to pick up enemy weapons, grab weapons from tears, use different vigors, etc. You can generally use whatever to bring their health down, so don't hesitate, just be careful not to kill them with a repeat weapon.

* The "only using" waves are serious about what they're saying. Don't skyline strike or use undertow if it says only x/y/z and they aren't on the list. Instant fail, kills don't matter.

* You can stay on the line for a second or two while the handyman is charging the skyline. If you're near him, that makes it pretty easy to kill him. Hail Fire, my friends.

* The "only kill with" (and kill handyman first) levels can be a pain too, as enemies have a habit of suiciding, killing one another by accident, etc. You will likely have to replay some of these due to no fault of your own, and without a consistent technique to avoid the fails. Welcome to Clash in the Clouds.

Beyond that, one word of caution:

The game wiped my progress at 59/60. No joke. I was at 59/60, was too tired to do another 15 waves, and woke up the next morning to a fresh save file (which the game helpfully saved to the cloud immediately). No idea why, I don't have any curious console setup and didn't shut down the game improperly or anything. This is a challenging and frustrating achievement, so you might consider making a backup if you get to a point where you've finished something difficult. I've done all of the hard stuff twice now -- and am getting ready to pour my life and good judgment into the Xbox One version -- so maybe don't be me. (To be fair, it was the only time I had any issue, but what a time to have an issue.) That said, it made me want to share my thoughts, as I learned some lessons along the way.

Good luck!

The Blue Ribbon Challenges are bonus objectives given at the start of each Wave. Completing them will earn you a substantial monetary bonus and completing all 60 of them will earn you this trophy. Some are easy and won't pose much of a challenge, but others are very difficult and will require a lot of patience and retries. You are told what the Challenge is before each Wave, but you can press to double-check at any time. You must complete a Challenge on your first try. If you die then you will automatically fail the challenge when you respawn. If you have already completed the Challenge then died during a Wave, the Challenge will stay completed.

To see which Blue Ribbons you are missing, check the plaques underneath the portraits of the four maps. The Ribbons for each map are arranged in three rows of five so count across to find the Waves you need to beat the Challenges on. You cannot restart from an individual Wave so if you are only missing the Blue Ribbon from Wave 15, you will have to replay the whole map again.

You can buy Resurrection Doors from the doors that look like Booker's office door from the main game. You can buy a maximum of three per attempt at a map. The first one costs $500, the second is $1,000 and the third is $2,000 but if you die and are resurrected, it will not fail your Blue Ribbon Challenge attempt. They are not stackable though so if you do use one, make sure when you resurrect that you turn around immediately and buy another one. You should have plenty of money if you've played through all the maps already and looted all the corpses you come across. Beware though that if you have $99,999 and earn a $1 or more, then your money will reset to $0 (thanks to Terminator for this). Some waves do not have a Resurrection Door located in them so be extra careful during those waves. The Armoury (the place you go to between each round) will always have a Door in it though.

The Challenges will be easier once you are fully upgraded so it is much better to attempt these later on to save you frustration. Still, many will require a lot of skill so check the Blue Ribbon Challenge Guide below for tips on each Challenge.

If you would prefer a video guide for the Challenges, then either search for the videos by VidGamiacUnlocked on YouTube or use the following playlist by nekov4ego:

Alternatively, you can use an exploit to make this trophy much easier. It involves deleting your PROFILE Data (not your SAVE Data) from your HDD to make the game remember how many Blue Ribbons you have, but not which ones specifically. Therefore, you can earn 30 easy Ribbons, delete your Profile Data, load the game up again and earn the same 30 Ribbons without having to tackle any of the tougher ones. Easy (Glitched) way to get Blue Ribbon Champ

This is not a guide, just a couple helpful tips. Follow the other guides already posted for full guide.

People keep saying that it randomly erases saves on xbox one, this is only true if you load Clash before the save file loads. Go to one of the other DLC menus Burial at Sea ep 1 or 2 and wait for it to say continue or load chapter, this is how you know when it is safe to open up the Clash DLC with your current save.

For waves that say to kill each enemy with the weapon they carry you can just use undertow to pull them and throw them off the stage and it still counts. Good luck to anyone still getting this!

There is a way that will allow you to get the most difficult trophy of the entire expansion, with virtually no effort. It became possible thanks to the crookedness and short-sightedness of the developers, and the topic starter https://www.playstationtrophies.org/...bon-champ.html , this topic, which discovered such an opportunity.

So. The “glitch” is that information about how many “blue ribbons” you have earned is stored in the autosave file, but which ones exactly are stored in the profile file. Let’s say you collected all the trophies except this one and completed 30 challenges, but the rest are difficult, stupid, etc., you don’t want to complete them. You do this. Erase the save from the console called User profile , do not touch the others. Go back to the game, now it knows that you have completed 30 challenges, but does not know which ones exactly. All you have left to do is complete these same 30 “easy” challenges. Or 15 challenges 4 times, or the very first 60 times. In any case, the task is simplified, there is nowhere else to go.

On PS4 there is a way to get this trophy without straining at all. A glitch, a bug, or the developers did this on purpose, but this trophy is awarded on a “platinum” basis when all other trophies in the add-on have already been received.

As of March 10, 2020, the platinum method works
Almost all the ribbons were knocked out except for the last one of the entire level (I was too lazy to knock out anything in it at all) I finished off the enemies with the remaining weapons and immediately got 2 achievements Sergeant-at-Arms and blue ribbon champ
I didn't have to delete anything
But it’s a little disappointing that having knocked out 45 ribbons the first time, I became too lazy to touch the rest and just ran through the waves

The Platinum trophy glitch only works on PS4! The bottom line is that if you have Platinum in the main game and you 100% complete all three DLCs, then the last DLC trophy will drop automatically.
Eventually:
-Completed the main game to Platinum
-Obtained all trophies in Clash in the Clouds except Blue Ribbon Champ
-Got all the trophies in Burial at the Sea Episode 1
-Got all the trophies in Burial at the Sea Episode 2
-Blue Ribbon Champ dropped with the last Burial at the Sea Episode 2 trophy
Only works if you beat the main game to Platinum!

PS4: They gave me a trophy for ribbons, having only 24 pieces on hand, one of them was the last 60th (also just rolled on the rails).
I didn't have to use the save glitch.
PS3: They didn’t give me a trophy like platinum, although I played roughly the same as on the PS4 version (I even beat more tapes, including the 60th one).

Those who play the PS4 version of the game, don't even try to get all the blue ribbons yourself/honestly. This cannot be done, the challenge in the 7th wave in the 4th arena (Emporia Arcade) is broken on PS4.
Condition for the 7th wave: Defeat two enemies with the Firemans suicide attack.
Issue/Bug - Enemies do NOT take damage from the Fireman's suicide attack.
So, feel free to use different glitches to get this trophy. And don't waste your time on these tapes.

November 2022. PS5. The method works. I received this trophy last, it dropped automatically along with the penultimate one for the 1998 mode from the third dlc.

UPD And in 2019, the glitch still works.

But I will add some explanations:
1. When deleting this save, it does not delete all progress: completed stages, purchased upgrades for weapons and abilities.
2. And even if you “accidentally”, like me, delete the save of the add-on itself, you will lose the progress made in the add-on, but the counter of completed tests will not be reset.
3. By deleting this save, you delete all statistics on completed collections.
Therefore, I highly recommend completing the main game 100% and getting a trophy in addition to killing with various types of weapons and tonics, and a trophy for killing by combining tonics.

I was going to use the glitch (because I could never see such hardcore with blue ribbons), but I didn’t have to, since I was also given this trophy along with the trophy for completing the last wave. That is, I received it according to the platinum principle. Before this, all the trophies were received. In just 60 waves, 15 ribbons were collected. In the last location, I did not receive a ribbon in any wave, but received it purely by chance in the very last, 15th wave, while riding on the rails at the very beginning of the massacre. I see someone writes that they received it according to the platinum principle, someone writes that they did not. They gave me platinum according to the principle, and perhaps the reason is that all the other trophies were received and the ribbon was taken in the very last wave - but this is so, assumptions.

I played online and the save was still wiped. The set-top box was not disconnected from the Internet, it has a gold status. Therefore, my advice to you is to make backups of your save, to the cloud or to a flash drive.
