How to unlock the 20/20 achievement in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Definitive Guide

If you are going to vote down, please comment as to why. I don't feel the existence of other solutions that are easier due to utilising glitches warrant a downvote, as in a game like CoD these will almost certainly be patched in due time. EDIT: They have been patched-did someone pick up the phone? Cause I called it.

Right, I have now done this twice, once in which I got the achievement and once in which my mate got it but I got both weapons to 20 again as well (please find the tail end of this run in the video below and use it with this wall of text to your benefit). This is the hardest achievement on the DLC, much harder than the Easter Egg IMO and requires a great deal of player skill and luck. Lets get down to brass tacks.

First I'm confirming that this has to be 2 weapons on your person, in the same game. Lets dispel any theories on getting this across multiple games now, I have had a level 20 Cauterizer twice (once when playing solo where I also had a level 16 Ameli-arghhhhh) and in the game when I got the achievement it only popped when I upgraded my second weapon to level 20 (the first was a Pyatek, second was S12, I actually used these two guns both times I have done it, my mate used Pyatek and Ameli). We did this with just 2 players but it may be easier with more and I'd actually gotten pretty close to doing it solo 3 or 4 times. This guide is based on you having at least 2 people, to do it solo using this method would probably be impossible, you'll just have to be very skilled at playing zombies and train them around the starting area if you really are intent on soloing it.

Right so each upgrade costs 2500, that means each player who is going for the achievement needs 95K just for weapon upgrades alone. That's not including perks, weapons and the doors (as in the actual physical doors you have to open, not the 1960's Los Angelean Rock Band "The Doors"-just to avoid any confusion). As such you can't afford to spend more than about 5K each on the box I would say. As a team you need 4,250 points to open all the doors you need to I believe.

You need to have an LMG, I prefer the Pyatek (I don't know for sure but I think it packs more of a punch than the Ameli and also has 25 extra rounds in the box magazine-doesn't sound like much but when you have a line of 20+ zombies running down a corridor or in a train towards you 25 rounds could well be several thousand points or the difference between life and death. The Ameli, being essentially a modernised 5.56mm Spanish copy of the MG42, is a true burp gun, it's rate of fire seems a lot faster than the Pyatek's so you will be reloading it a lot more often and it also has more recoil), but if you get the Ameli, keep it. Secondary weapons should be either the Cauterizer, S12 (really underrated little gun, I think it outperforms the Cauterizer in everything but overall ammunition-a real room-clearer), ASM1 or HBRA3 (don't bother with any other SMGs or Assault Rifles-the ASM1 is nice and accurate with a lot of stopping power even on higher rounds and the HBRA3 is the same but both will run dry pretty quickly hence why they are your secondaries. With the exception of the HBRA3 don't bother with wall guns-they are complete shite).
Only perks you should bother with are Exo Health which is a must and Exo Reload which is your decision. If at least one of you can get Distraction Drones, that is a real bonus (the benefits of the Distraction Drone should be obvious to anyone who has played this mode), less so Nano Swarms but they are still useful (throw them on a downed teammate as you revive them or into a chokepoint as a lot of zombies rush you).

When you start, point whore on zombies by shooting them a few times in the legs and then knifing them to maximise points. You also get 100 points for turning on any power source so do that to the one at the start. Now this is really important, when you have enough points, open the LEFT door, do not touch the one on the right at all. Once in, point whore a bit more and open the door to the Morgue. You may all want to get at least one go on the 3D printer here to get a half-decent weapon and then you want to open the doors to Administration (the one from inside the Morgue-not the outside door remember), Holding (so you can get Exo Health) and the Exo Room (via the Morgue). Once these are all open, maybe invest points in a few more goes on the box unless you already have some decent weapons and then that's it. Once you have started upgrading weapons, do not even concern yourself with the box, it's unlikely you will get the exact weapons you want and wasting too much money on it is counter-productive to the aim.

Now, you know where the decontamination area is? That's our Alamo, our Rorke's Drift, our Gandamak, our...you get the picture. You can't be flanked from the right because we kept that door shut and we've all seen the film 300 right? Where 300 Spartans (although in real life there were also 3,000 other Greeks at Thermopylae too) hold a narrow point from a force of Persians many times larger? That's what we are doing here, bottle-necking them so that their superior numbers count for nothing, only instead of Aspis and Dory we are using Exoskeletons and Light Machine Guns. There's also a weapon upgrade station in this room with you-talk about all-inclusive, Thomas Cook doesn't do holiday deals like this place.

From here, just survive. I would suggest using your LMGs first as they create more points and then switch to your secondary if you must reload and don't have time when the living dead are bearing down on you. Be sure to keep one or two zombies or better yet crawlers at the end of the waves so you can all sort your lives out and go and buy whatever perks you may need or pick up the orbital drops. Save your Distraction Drones for when your mate gets knocked down or you are really being swamped (remember that you get a free one back each round so don't be afraid to use them). Zombie Camo also comes in really useful in these instances although you may want to clear the zombies out while they ignore you otherwise your pal will likely be swamped as soon as you revive him.

Do not open that door on the right unless you are adamant that it is your only way of survival, once that door is open this method is compromised and you must rely instead on your own skill, luck and maneuverability. Having said that, surviving is obviously imperative and you must do whatever it takes to do so. It really is the only chokepoint like that on the map (we tried the room at the bottom of the staircase between holding and the exo room with the door on the left as you face the stairs still shut but it's hopeless for holding out and just good for buying time if you lead all the zombies round that way and then open the door). We actually jumped ship a little earlier than i'd have liked on the time I did it (about Round 18) and from there just had to survive in the starting area (which is a lot more skill based than the tactical approach of staying in decontamination), which I wouldn't recommend, and on subsequent attempts the two of us have survived up to Round 27 just in that room before we got downed after being backed up to the wall by zombies and trying to fight through to the doorway and escape (new PB in that room is 31-as you can see in the vid).

A few quick tips, some of these might seem obvious but a lot of people don't seem to adhere to them.

Communicate with each other. Ammo saves lives, don't go picking up the Max Ammo until you are both fully loaded, a Magazine can make all the difference. What's more if you are putting a Swarm Grenade or Distraction Drone down, let your oppo know so he isn't wasting one too-it's likely if the shit is hitting the fan for you, it is for him too.

Make the most of the Hyper Damages. You get more points for a melee kill so don't just go shooting everything you see, if you can melee an enemy to death without getting ripped apart in the process, then do it. Maximise your points.

Exo boosting. I reckon i'm pretty good at zombies. The exo suit makes me immense at zombies. Double jumping and exo strafing really is a life saver and can get you out of a sticky situation 9 times out of 10. Just watch out for those pesky EMP zombies, make sure you are prioritising them.

Grenades are actually pretty powerful even in later waves on this one. Don't neglect them. It may actually be an idea to upgrade them to contact grenades (the slot is in the corridor next to Exo Health but i've never thought to do this before now).

That's all i've got for now but if I think of anything else, i'll be sure to add it. If you are going to vote down, please tell me why so I can strive to improve the guide and help you guys out more.

Good luck.

Cheers.

Anyone else have an issue unlocking this? I got 2 guns to level 20 in the same game and it didn't unlock for me.

I haven't used the guide yet, was just looking over the various ones. I prefer to not read a story when trying to get a solution. I get a lot of random negatives myself.. smile I'm at least giving him a chance to improve the solution. I wouldn't vote negative though just because there's a glitched solution that's faster unless it's never going to get patched. wink

So the guide helped you but you vote negatively? Your vote to cast I suppose...

It was always going to get patched in Call of Duty, you'd have to be daft to think otherwise. I started getting a load of negative votes because I was the top rated and a couple of people brought out other glitched solutions that obviously wouldn't be possible 6 weeks later.

SOLO GUIDE:

I just completed this solo, which I think is a lot easier than trying it with multiple people. I reached rank 20 with both guns by Level 25.

Each gun starts at level 1, so you need 19 levels per gun totaling 38 levels that you will need to upgrade. Each upgrade costs 2,500 points meaning you will need 95,000 points. Alternate when you upgrade the guns! If you upgrade one gun all the way and leave the other at the low level, you will risk running out of ammo and ultimately dying, not to mention the low hit points the other gun will do.

Here is how I did it.

I stayed by the bus until the end of round 3.
1st round- shoot the zombies 4 times than knife.
2nd round-6 times than knife.
3rd round- 7 times than knife.
4th-8th rounds-start a train inside next to the exo slam machine and then continue to KNIFE!!!!!

During the 4th-8th rounds acquire the exo suit, exo health, exo Revive, and exo fast reload.

During the 4th-8th rounds hit the 3d printer/mystery box and acquire the Pytaek, the distraction drones (MUST!!), and the EM1. The em1 is awful for killing zombies in the higher rounds, but during the lower rounds it is great to weaken the zombies so you can knife them and/or just get a lot of points without wasting too much ammo.

During the 4-8th rounds open the following doors:
Leading inside from the bus to the exo slam
From exo slam Leading to the morgue
From the morgue to the exo room (I acquired the exo suit during the dog round).
From the exo room to the containment room.

KEEP THE DOOR FROM THE BUS TO THE DECONTAMINATION ROOM CLOSED AT ALL TIMES!!!!

But what happens if I get infected because the zombie hit me?

When you here the woman's voice over the loud speaker say something like, "experimental chamber has been opened." The person you are playing will say, " what does she mean by that?" This is your cue to hightail it over to the decontamination room, by going the following way.
-the exo slam to the morgue
-the morgue to administration (the far end of the hallway).
Stand atop the decontamination area and aim and shoot. Because you kept the door closed, you just have to worry about what's in front of you. If you get infected, or things get a little hairy, activated the decontamination area for 250 points. You will get invisibility for a few seconds and any zombie infected will die if they are next to you, giving you the edge to win back the area.

Once the infected round is over, get back to the bus by going all the way around as previously stated.

Now the fun part. TRAIN. TRAIN. TRAIN. AROUND THE BUS.

Here is what you should do.
-start the train by running around the bus exo double jumping and boosting when needed. When you are behind the bus and are heading to the front, turn around and start shooting aiming towards the heads (you are still moving backwards!). Then turn around after about 2 seconds and continue on. This is what you will do the entire time, but here is the technique you will need while doing this.

You have 2 distraction drones. You will ALWAYS get 1 every round (max of 2). Meaning if you used 1 at the beginning of the new round you will have 2. If you used 2, than you will have 1 at the beginning of the new round.

THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART.

The minute you see the DOUBLE POINTS power up, make sure you have a decent train going. RELOAD your gun. Then pick up the double points power up, toss a distraction drone in front of you, and start shooting the heads of the zombies. I have gotten 9,500 points in a single round because of this, which helps a lot.

IGNORE the Bomb power up, you will miss out on a lot of points if you pick it up UNLESS you really need some help.

Now in between all these rounds, you need to pick up the support drops and upgrade your two guns. And get another exo revive if you went down! The first time I went down was round 25 after I got the achievement, so you should be fine if you use this method.

To upgrade your gun, you will be using the holding cells area upgrade station (directly across from the electric box you activated to power up exo health). Make sure you keep a zombie alive so you can pick up the support drops especially from the exo suit room. Jump in the trash shoot if the round starts when you're in there to get back to the bus.

This will be the time to open the door from the exo slam room to the exo health, so you don't have to go all the way around.

Another tip: once you get to the higher rounds and let's say you used up all the distraction drones and are cornered and can't move, activate invisibility and IMMEDIATELY and the zombies will go away for a short time.

Let's say that you have a huge train going around the bus and no more zombies are piling out. Run up the the large exo slam room and once at the top, turn around and shoot the ends while standing still. You will kill almost all the zombies. Either run down ASAP to start the train again, or start one in the room and once you have a lot, run down to the bus and do the same thing. THIS HELPS ALOT!

Hope this helps for those of you who are struggling out there. Especially for those who just want to do it solo.

This is how I did it with my friends!

Make sure you use the EXO health or you wont be alive for a long time!

NOTE:
Thanks to Emzx99 the MAYHEM does not count as a gun.

Once you spawn don't open the door to the right where the quick revive perk is because you want to use that one as a escape later on. Go around all the way, this will make them come from one way instead of everywhere while inside the room where the decontamination is.

We was in the room where the DECONTAMINATON is almost all the time because it has a upgrade station in there where you can upgrade the weapons very easy.
We stayed in there untill wave 24 or something untill we had to open the door that goes back to spawn just so we could survive.

I recommend buying a weapon from the mystery box and one from the wall, why? Well you will ran out of ammo very quickly and the best way to get ammo is to upgrade a weapon each time it's out of bullets. Upgrading your weapon will cost 2,500 per upgrade but once you have upgraded a weapon to level 20 you can't upgrade it anymore and you wont get any ammo anymore.
Now to the important thing! You can get ammo for your weapon that you bought from the wall. If you go where you bought it you will have the option to buy ammo, it will be alot more credits than it use to be but that's because you have upgraded it.
It will cost you 4000 Credits for ammo each time but it will save your life, trust me.

I hope this helps and I wish you all good luck toast

*THIS HAS NOW BEEN PATCHED! NO LONGER WORKS!* crycrycry

Hey guys! Here is the way I did it, solo by the way. This uses the vent glitch which lets you stay up high and not get hit by zombies. This works for getting to round 25 also.

I cut out the first chunk, just to get to what really matters. Video is sped up 1.5x, and I unlock 20/20 about halfway thru.

To get out of the glitch, you can either jump or crouch; if one way doesn't work, try the other. I would often have to use both, it just depends on "how stuck" you get (I guess).

Any questions or clarification, just ask! I'd be more than happy to help.clap

Got this acheievement yesterday in a party with two others, with the Pytaek and the Cauterizer. What we did was camp in the area with the decontamination shower, if you dont open the door between here and the quick revive/ outside area the zombies can only come down the long hallway in administration, making them easy to pick off. Plus theres an upgrade station nearby if you need to replenish your ammo mid-round. Hope this helps!

You must have the Havoc DLC pack. Load up Exo Zombies > Outbreak.

This IS possible solo, or co-op.

By the time you have enough points to upgrade two weapons to level 20 (2500pts per upgrade .'. 95 000pts total) you will be at approximately round 30 therefore it is important to learn how to survive to a high round. Tips to do so are below.

I recommend attaining the CEL-3 Cauterizer wonder weapon shotgun from the 3dprinter/mysterybox and upgrading that straight to 20 first then worry about upgrading your second weapon which should be something good for getting points such as an automatic weapon. Use your CEL-3 to survive while training zombies, use your other weapon to gain as many points as possible especially during instakill in higher rounds when punching is not a good idea.

Attain all perks available ASAP before worrying about upgrading your weapon.
Buy your most important perks first so that if you go down and your teammates revive you fast enough you only lose perks which aren't too important.
I suggest the following purchase order for perks.
Exo Health (Juggernog) > Exo Reload (SpeedCola) > Exo Medic (Quick Revive) > Exo Slam > Exo Soldier (Gun Ho)

Keep a zombie or two at the end of each of the higher rounds then go upgrade your weapons. Upgrade machine locations are shown below, the upgrade machine in admin is less likely to get you killed when upgrading as the other is in a small room which is easy to get trapped in when upgrading.

Tips to survive are:
-Start the low rounds shooting in the legs and knifing for more points
-Buy a cheap gun to start eg the Mk14
-Get to Exo Suit room ASAP
-Attain HealthBoost/Juggernog ASAP (2500pts)
-Attain two good weapons from the 3dPrinter/MysteryBox or the wall ASAP
-Train zombies behind you (gather them up behind you and run in circles around the room or map) once you reach approximately round 7 and upwards
-Upgrade your weapons using the upgrade machine whenever you can (2500pts)
-Pick up all powerups especially - DNA Bomb kills all zombies spawned in on the map, double points & instakill
-Knife/punch when you have instakill for more points
-Pick up all care packages! Why not they're free and they help you out!
-Gain free points from green security consoles by walking up to them and pressing x (randomly change around the map).
-Purchase all other perks in order of personal preference (I would suggest speed cola > quick revive > ground slam > gun-ho
-Prioritise killing zombies: acid > gas/infected > EMP > standard

Good areas for training are spawn and the circular room right next to spawn show on the map below.

Some additional useful info is contained in my map below!

Pop goes the cheevo!

I have an easiest solution out of all the ones listed, so it took me a little over an hour to get this achievement solo but i was playing local play the weapons i was using were the Bal-27 Mk and the PytaekMk18 which i randomly got from the first 3d printer for both of the weapons and their pretty decent weapons. Anyways, what your going to want to do is just melee the zombies for the first 2 rounds or 3 if you want but i do recommend that you get your exo suit asap because on the 4th round will either spawn the dogs or stronger zombies and your pistol won't be enough so first you want to wait until round 3 or 4 to get your exo suit once you do wait for a round or two melee some zombies to rack up points, once you have enough just buy 2 weapons from the 3d printer. Then, after that you wanna go into the room where it says administration where the first 3d printer spawns, open the door to the right once you get into that room now heres where it gets really good! Theres a glitch where a bunch of zombies pile up each round its a wall glitch right next to where you cure yourself once you get infected stand back a few ft. and quickly double tap the A button then b to crouch if you don't know where its at or what I'm talking about then look up this youtube video Advanced Warfare Glitches: 2 Easy Exo Zombies Glitches ''Xbox 360, Xbox One'' [Exo Zombies Glitch] thats the video i used that really helped me or better yet just look up the you tuber BamDanUK and just go into his cod playlists and he should have a video about a glitch there. Oh, and make sure after every round your upgrading one of your weapons or both and then just run back to the glitch rinse and repeat you should have the achievement between the rounds 27-30 if you do this method other than that its pretty easy actually i got my achievement after round 27. *You should try to get it done now with this glitch because Sledgehammer will probably wanna patch it up pretty soon, if anyone has any questions or comments message me at my gamer tag AlphaGangsta24 or you can leave a comment below and ill get back to you, anyways i hope you guys get the achievement good luck and happy achievement huntingsmilesmile

When I did it, I asked a few of my friends to help me survive. So I got a CEL-3 Courtarizer (yay) in the box. The next load of times that I went on the box, I just got rubbish stuff, so I just bought an HBRa 3 of the wall.

I kept the CEL-3 Courtarizer as the more upgraded weapon, and only swapped to the HBRa 3, to get a few more points and when I needed to upgrade it.

I ended up getting the 20/20 achievement when we were on about round 28. Hope that helped. :-D

In order to upgrade both of your weapons to level 20, you will need a total of 100,000 credits over the course of a signal game, not including weapon, upgrade, and door costs. You will likely earn this trophy around wave 28 if you're attempting to earn this trophy solo. Each upgrade will cost you 2,500 credits each. I recommend rotating guns you upgrade between your primary and secondary weapons to keep them both around the same level. If you don't, you run a greater risk of running out of ammo for your strong gun and burning through ammo on your weak secondary.

The upgrade station locations are depicted by yellow circles on the map below.

It’s easier to get one, because the more players and the more zombies, we run around the bus and drive them in a circle.

PS how I received it, here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-IiTM0CBUA

It’s quite possible to do this solo without bugs, but it’s very difficult; it will take you a lot of time to get the hang of it.

For this trophy, I recommend taking a CEL-3 or S-12 in the first hand and any machine gun in the second hand, the more clip it has, the better. I advise you to try to pull out Ameli or Pytaek , but do not run with machine guns in your hands, with them the character will run slower and get tired faster, so in order to dance around the bus it is better to have a shotgun in your hands.

Be sure to try to pull out the Distraction Drone , you can’t do without it.

As you begin to dance in circles, first I advise you to make the largest possible 4-5 circles so that all the zombies gather at your place and then find the right moment and quietly shoot them, I shot them when they were all trying to pass through the narrow passage between the bus and the crashed turntable.

Load the weapons evenly, that is, one at a time, otherwise it may happen that the cartridges on one barrel will run out quickly.

Shoot zombies with a machine gun, this is necessary for grinding credits. Quickly switch to the machine gun, shoot the nth number of zombies and quickly switch back to the shotgun and run to the next circle.

This method helped me reach wave 36 solo and I upgraded not just two weapons to level 20, but four.

Also a piece of advice: every time a new wave starts, one extra charge is restored. grenade and special grenade. Also, after upgrading a weapon, all ammunition is replenished to the maximum for that weapon.
