How to unlock the Seeds of Doubt achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Definitive Guide
Notes before you start:
- Check your challenges in the first round or two
- Restart if one person gets both trap challenges
- You MUST have the Anywhere But Here Gobblegum to complete the Easter Egg. It is a standard Gobblegum you get from leveling up. I'd recommend that multiple players equip this for better odds at getting it.
- A lot of the steps can be done at the same time. Look at all the steps before you start and try to do them simultaneously
- The ICR and KN-94 are two good guns that can be purchased off the wall. This helps with ammo as you can keep buying it off the wall, even after pack-a-punching the weapon
- Gobblegums such as Perk-a-holic, Immolation Liquidation, Cache Back, On the House, and others are a huge help

Plant Recipes:
No water - If you plant a seed and don't water it, the next round you will be able to harvest it for a basic item such as a zombie, grenade, money, sniper rifle, shotgun, etc. This can be useful for acquiring a free gun very early on.
Green Water - If you water a plant with Green water three times, you will get a "claw" plant that stabs a zombie and holds it in place for a while. The zombie will eventually die though so this is not preferred over running the last zombie around.
Blue Water - If you water a plant with Blue water three times, you will get a valuable harvest plant. Items you can get include Max Ammo, money, Razerback, Haymaker, etc.
Purple Water - If you water a plant with Purple water three times, you will get the "hook" plant that attracts zombies and kills them one by one. This plant is required for the challenge to kill zombies that are attracted to a plant.
Blue, Purple, Green Water - If you water a plant in this order it has a good chance at being a Fruit plant. The fruit will either make you throw up or give you a free perk.
Imprint Plant - If you shoot a seed with the KT-4 instead of watering it, there is a chance it will turn into the Imprint Plant. Activating this will allow you to respawn from the plant after you die, and keep all of your perks, guns, etc.
Step 1: Turn on the power
The power in Zetsubou No Shima works a little differently than other maps. There are two labs (Lab A and Lab B) that both have temporary power systems that you can turn on. To activate them you must get a bucket, fill it with any color water, and pour it into a machine located inside the Labs. This will activate a temporary power system for the immediate area. But not all power will be restored.
To full turn the power on you must activate both Lab powers around the same time (as they turn off eventually) so you can enter the Bunker. There will be two green lights over the Bunker door which means both Labs are powered up, and you can then open the Bunker door for free. Once inside, the first door on the left is the Power room. Enter here and swim under the water down a few stairs. Once underwater you must break the webbing on the left side which will shut the door behind you. No you have to kill all the zombies that spawn. There are two pockets to swim up and breath and one spore in the back left corner. Once all the zombies are dead (or the person goes down) the door will open and you can flip the switch in front of you to turn the power on.
Note: A piece to activate the Pack-a-Punch will appear out of the vent that you uncovered with webbing once this step is complete.
Step 2: Power the skulls to get the Skull of Nan Sapwe
There are four skulls located in the same spot where you look at the challenges. Each skull has a symbol underneath it on the pedestal and
each spot has a matching symbol. There are four pedestals located around the map which correspond to a symbols on the skulls. Once you place a skull in its corresponding pedestal, zombies will spawn and attempt to break it. You must protect the skull and when it finished charging it will kill the remaining zombies for you. The skull defend spots can be completed in any order and will get progressively harder each time. Eventually spiders and Thrasher will spawn which will attack you, unlike the zombies which only go for the skull.
Once all four skulls are powered and back in their place a secret room will open up right next to the skull pedestal where they initially spawned. Go down into the room and Hold X to begin the sequence. Once you begin the door will shut behind you and you must kill enough witches to power the Skull of Nan Sapwe. Once you complete this, Hold X to pick up the Skull of Nan Sapwe (everyone can pick it up).
Step 3: Complete All challenges
There are a total of 16 possible challenges in Zetsubou No Shima. Each player will have to complete all three of their random challenges to finish the Easter Egg. To view your challenges, look at the pillars near where the skulls spawn. Your own challenges will be lit up yellow. Once you complete a challenge you will be granted a reward. The bottom challenge will reward a Max Ammo, the middle will reward a gun, and the top will give you the ability to buy a 5th perk.
Here are the possible challenges along with tips to completing them.
1. Shoot 5 spores
- Very easy, just shoot any 5 spores around the map. The spores are the orange circles on the walls that explode when shot.
2. Kill 20 zombies underwater
- This can be completed in a few different locations: the spawn area, near the green water, near the main power switch, and in the underwater caverns. You have to be underwater but the zombies don't.
3. Kill 10 spore-infected zombies with headshots
- Walk zombies through the mist of an exploded spore and then headshot them while the mist surrounds their body. Do this to 10 zombies to complete the challenge.
4. Kill 8 spiders with spores
- Shoot spores to explode them and lure a spider into the mist. If done correctly the spider will die instantly after walking through the mist. The is easiest on spider waves which are usually around rounds 6/7 and 11/12.
5. Use a Spore to Regain Air Underwater
- You can do this in the water near the power switch or in the underwater cavern near the KT-4. Simply shoot a spore while underwater and be right next to it to regain air.
6. Kill a mutated zombie before its enraged
- Mutated zombies are the large Thrashers. This is easiest with the Skull of Nan Sapwe. If you hold Right Trigger while aiming at a Thrasher, it will die before it enrages. You can tell if it's enraged by the glow around its body. Red means its enraged. This is also easier with a strong pack-a-punched weapon.
7. Kill 3 zombies as they are mutating
- This occurs when a zombie walks into the spore mist and gets turned into a Thrasher. You have to kill the zombie in the moment as it begins to turn, but before it becomes a Thrasher. Walk zombies past spore mist to attempt this multiple times. One zombie automatically will turn into a Thrasher when you open the Bunker doors. A rocket launcher and pack-a-punched gun make this much easier.
8. Water the same plant 3 times
- Very simple. Just keep watering the same plant for three rounds in a row.
9. Destroy 5 webs with explosives
- Webs include the ones around Gumball machines, the ones around perk machines, and the general webs that the spiders use to block entrances. Simply stick a grenade to any 5 to complete this challenge.
10. Obtain a powerup from a plant
- Either don't want a seed and harvest it the next round, or go for the Blue Water plant listed above. Common powerups are Max Ammo and Points.
11.Water 5 Plants
- Very easy. Simply water any 5 plants.
12. Kill 15 zombies that are attracted to plants
- Create the Purple Water plant listed above. Then simply stay near it and kill zombies in the area. They will be attracted to the plant.
13. Use the Fan Trap to Kill 20 Zombies
- The fan trap is located in the entrance to the AA gun area (first door on the right inside the bunker). Simply use the trap until you have killed 20 zombies.
14. Use the Plane Trap to Kill 30 Zombies
- The plane trap is located in between the spawn area and Lab A. The trap uses two large propellers that chop up zombies. Simply keep using the trap until you have killed 30 zombies.
15. Eat a fruit from a plant
- To grow a fruit, water a plant using Blue, Purple, and Green water in that order. It is not guaranteed that this will be a fruit plant however so plant multiple seeds for better odds. Once you get a fruit plant hold X to eat the fruit.
16. Shoot the heads off of 5 mutated zombies
- Mutated zombies are the large Thrashers. Their heads are located on the left side of their chest (right if they are running towards you). It is next to the large spore on their chest. Shoot the head of 5 of them to complete this challenge.
Step 4: Build the Shield, KT-4, Gas Mask, and Pack-a-Punch
To build the KT-4 you must obtain three items
1. In Lab A (by Blue water) you can lower a cage once the power is turned on. There will be a purple glow inside the cage once it's lowered. You then have to lure a spider into the cage by having it walk near it. Once you have a spider inside, raise the cage back up and a machine will extract a purple substance from it. Hold X to pick up the purple vial.
2. At some point (usually after turning on the main power) a zombie in a white lab coat will spawn holding a glowing green tube. Simply kill this zombie and hold X to pick up the green tube.
3. Inside the flooded caverns, located in a side door in the same room as the KT-4, there will be a long dead-end path with a blue glow. You have to swim down this path and there will be a plant at the end of it. Hold X to pick up the plant but make sure you have enough air to grab it and make it back without dying. There is a spore that spawns at the end of the path to regain air, as well as a air pocket right before the path starts.
Once you have all three head down to the KT-4 crafting table (the door straight ahead in the Bunker, and then down the stairs), and Hold X to craft the gun. Only one person can pick it up but once it's obtained anyone can get it from the Mystery Box.
Shield Parts:
1. Around the Lab B area (green water). The 3 spots it can spawn are outside the lab closest to the skulls. Look around the 3 or 4 trees in this area.
2.Around the Lab A area (blue water). The 3 spots are around where the cage drops down. Look around the pillars in this area.
3. This is in the AA gun area inside the bunker (very first door on the right). This area is small so it shouldn't be hard to find.
Once you have all pieces simply craft the item at a workbench (inside Lab A or Lab B).
Gas Mask Parts:
1. The rope is in the Plane Trap area (from the spawn take the two left doors). It's either on the crashed plane or on a rock near the Mystery Box spawn.
2. This part is near the green water (Lab B). It will either be on a rock in the green water, on a box on the walkway, or on a box near the Lab.
3. This piece is in the Docks. You can either open a door from inside the Power room or take the zipline from Lab A after turning on the main power. It is either on one of two boxes or a rock.
Pack-a-Punch:
The Pack-a-Punch machine is located in a pool of water inside the Bunker. You must drain the water with three items to gain access to it.
Note: The Pack-a-Punch machine is not required to complete the Easter Egg but you will have a much easier time with upgraded weapons.
Once you have an item, Hold X on the three controls around the railing to drain the water.
1. One blows out of the same vent (underwater) you uncovered to turn on the main power.
2. The wheel is located in the underwater caverns near the KT-4. It won't be in the blue dead-end path so look around the other areas on the ground.
3. This piece is in the room with the purple water (second door on the right inside the Bunker). There will be cocoons all around this room, simply melee the cocoons and zombies will drop out. One of the cocoons will also drop this piece.
Step 5: Use the Skull of Nan Sapwe to begin the Easter Egg
Using the Left Trigger with the Skull of Nan Sapwe will shine a light stunning zombies. You have to use this power to uncover three secrets IN ORDER. If you have Stamina-Up and know where you are going you can do this in one go. Otherwise your skull might run out and you'll either have to wait for it to recharge or have another player use their skull.
1. In the room where you get the purple water, there is a large, half-torn sheet of paper (or poster) located above a desk. Shine the skull on it to uncover the bottom half.
2. Right as you enter the Bunker the elevator is on your left. To the left of the elevator there is a blank wall the size of a door (to the left of the sticker). Shine the skull on this wall to open the entrance.
3. In the same dead-end tunnel inside the underwater caverns where you got the plant item, use there is a small wall to the right of where the plant was. Shine the skull on that wall to uncover a seeding location. (The spore is on the left, plant was straight ahead, and the wall is to the right).
Step 6: Fight the Spider boss
This step can be completed anytime after obtaining the KT-4. I would advise doing it when you have Juggernog and decent guns. To begin this fight, head to the blue water. Behind it there will be blue webbing, shoot this webbing with the KT-4 and head down the secret path behind it.
The spider boss will smack its legs down, spit poison, and spawn spiders. Shoot its face when it's spitting, avoid the poison, and kill the spiders to finish the boss. The small spiders will drop Max Ammo at least twice. Once you've finished you can head down the path to the right of the spider and grab the Widows Wine from the purple pool of water. This perk isn't required, but it is free.
Note: You can't get the Widows Wine if you already have too many perks.
Step 7: Upgrade the KT-4
There are three items you need to get in order to upgrade the KT-4 to the Masamune. These items do not appear in your inventory, so you have to listen for an audio queue to tell if you grabbed it. Anyone can pick up these items in multiplayer.
Note: Have someone with a seed go for the Rainbow water.
1. The first item is a special plant that is grown by watering a seed with Rainbow Water. To get this head to the room where you grabbed the KT-4. On one of the sides will be a pool of water with a sewer drain you can use for 500 points. Take this drain and you will notice you pass by two open rooms that are glowing blue. To get the Rainbow water you have to hold X at the right moment to take it from a pipe while using the sewer drain. I found it easiest to hold X right before you exit the second blue room as the pipe is located on the right side immediately after the second blue room.
Now have the person with the water and a seed head down to the underwater caverns. The wall that you opened with the Skull of Nan Sapwe will have a seeding spot behind it. Plant any normal seed and water it three times with the Rainbow water. After the plant has fully grown you will be able to hold X to take it.
2. For the second part you simply have to hold X near the defeated spider boss. The part should be near the head but just keeping holding X around the body until your character says something.
3. The third pieces requires you to electrify your shield. To do this all challenges must be completed, and once done lightning will periodically strike the altar where the skulls are. Simple have your shield held out to get it electrified. In Lab B (green water) there will be a cage that can be lowered. Melee the control of the cage with the shield to open the door. Have one person enter the cage and another lower them down by pressing X on the control. The person in the cage will be lowered down to an area with a few skeletons. Simply hold X on the skeletons until you grab the piece, listen for the audio queue.
Once you have all three items you can go back to the KT-4 room and upgrade it. There will be a similar KT-4 machine to the right of where you picked it up the first time, this is where you upgrade it.
Step 8: Obtain the 3 Cogs and open the Elevator
There are three cogs you must obtain to open the elevator door.
1. This requires the Anywhere But Here gobblegum. You have to use the gobblegum to teleport to a secret room above Lab A. The best way to get here is to stand next to the dead spider boss and use it here. Once inside the room there will be a cog on the ground near a cracked shell. Hold X to pick it up and exit then exit the room.
2. This cog requires the Electric Shield. Once you have one, have two people head to the zipline at Lab A (blue water). The zipline leads down to the docks, but if you look closely there is a section of the docks blocked off with a ramp at the end. You must drop down on this section of the dock using the zipline. In multiplayer, one person has to use the zipline while the other melees the controls to drop the player onto the dock. Be VERY CAREFUL doing this as the player that gets dropped off the zipline will instantly die if they land in the water. It might be worth wasting some money to get used to how it looks when the person is above the dock. In solo, you simply melee the control to shock the zipline, use it, then melee to drop yourself onto the dock. Once on the dock there will be a cog on the floor. Hold X to pick it up.
3. Once you have the Masamune (upgraded KT-4) you have to grow a special harvest plant that produces a large AA shell. To get this plant a seed, water it with Blue water, and then shoot it once with the Masamune. Do this for three rounds (water with blue and shoot) and the plant will have a chance at producing the AA shell. I would recommend planting multiple seeds for better odds. Once you have the shell, head to the large AA gun inside the Bunker. Hold X to load the shell into the AA gun.
Now you have to shoot the large plane that passes over you. Hold X to fire the AA gun and destroy the plane. If you miss, you will have to grow another shell. Once the plane is destroyed the cog will fall either near Lab A, Lab B, or right in front of the Bunker. You can actually see where it falls if you follow the debris after you shoot it. Hold X to pick up the cog.
Step 9: Use the elevator to fight the final boss
Note: Before starting this you should be very prepared. Have pack-a-punched weapons, ammo, Juggernog and other perks, and at least one Masamune is required. Remember other players can also get it from the mystery box and upgrade it as well. I would also try to have your skulls charged as the can be very useful.
To open the elevator, place all three cogs in the machine located behind it. This room is now open thanks to the door you opened with the Skull of Nan Sapwe. Hold X to place the cogs and the elevator door will open. Have everyone in the elevator and hold X on the control to activate the elevator.
Once at the bottom use the Masamune on the branches to reach the boss room.
The boss is a large Thrasher that sits behind a wall. It will randomly smack its branch arms down which does a ton of damage. To avoid this stay near the back of the room. The fight consists of infinite spawning spiders and Thrashes. Once every often the boss will stick a branch arm out and it will have spores on it. Shoot the arm with the Masamune to damage and destroy it (other guns likely work as well but this is the best choice). Once all of the bosses arms are destroyed the fight will end with a cutscene and the achievement will unlock.
Note: Afterwards you start back in the boss room with all perks. Take the elevator back up to continue the game.
Hope it helps! :-)
-the upgraded KT-4
-the shield
-completed al challenges for every player
- the skull of nan- sapwe
-the gas mask
These are individually quiet hefty tasks, I'll go into detail on how to obtain them in this guide (otherwise I'd be done writing this in 5 minutes) but just be aware that all these things are required
Additionally, this map has a heavy emphasis on the new planting mechanic they added (it's fairly bizarre) a lot of challenges require specific plants to be made ( as well as for the Easter egg) I'll go over the specific plants you will need for the Easter egg parts, but understand that you may need to research how to obtain certain other items.
The key to this Easter egg is multi- tasking. This isn't linearly stepped like every other Easter egg. All items can be built at the same time and all gears can be found at the same time in any order. So it is important you don't end rounds unless you're certain there is nothing else you can do in the way of planting, building, or obtaining gears, otherwise you might find yourself on a very high round.
Prerequisites
Unlike most other maps, you must make sure that at least one player has the “anywhere but here” gobblegum. This is required for the completion of the Easter egg. Unfortunately, you need to have reached level 5 (I think, might be wrong) In zombies to be able to equip this. So if everyone in your party is under level 5 (whether you've barely played any zombies, or recently prestiged) you will need to play a few games to reach that level, then restart.
Besides that, there is nothing else required, however, you may find mega gobblegums beneficial to you for the boss fight (I like taking in After taste, which lets you keep your perks if downed and revived)
So with someone with anywhere but here on, start a private game of zetzubo no shima. This guide will be structured differently than most Easter eggs, because, again, there aren't really steps. I'll give you all the tasks you need to complete, but remember they can be completed in any order, and should be done at the same time.
Building the skull of Nan Sapwe
There is a kind of introductory step for this easter egg, which must be done prior to obtaining any gears, and the skull is required for it (as well as building a few other items).
It is quite easy to obtain thankfully. To start, save a zombie on round 1 and head to the challenge area (buy the 500 door to your right from spawn, and the 750 door directly across from it). This is where you will see all your challenges, which I'll detail later, as well, in the center of the room is a pedestal like thing which contains 4 skulls. Underneath these skulls is a unique symbol (changes every game). Your goal is to find the skull with the symbol that corresponds to 1 of 4 pedestals around the map, these locations are.
-In spawn, pretty hard to miss.
-Right in front of the propeller trap
-In the large room at the end of the bunker
-In the room left of the power switch.
So basically, you look at the symbol on one of these pedestals, run to the skulls, and bring the correct skull back, placing it on the pedestal. Doing so will spawn in some enemies which won't attack you, but will attack the skull. You must defend the skull for about 20 seconds from the enemies. If the skull takes too much damage it will break, and you will need to try again. The skull in spawn is simple, as its round 1 so the zombies only take 1 knife to kill. The propeller trap skull is a bit trickier, and you will want to have gotten a decent gun to do it, as spiders will spawn in addition to the zombies, and they will attack you, not the skull. The other two skulls have both zombies and thrashers spawn, the thrashers will attack you, but your best bet is to just keep moving and shooting all the zombies. Once a skull is finished, all the enemies will die, and you must bring it to where you originally grabbed it.
Doing all 4 skulls and placing them in their original pedestal will open up a secret room down a staircase right in front of you. Head down there and hold on the skull in the middle of the room. This will instigate a number of keeper spawns (similar to the rituals in shadows of evil). You will be locked in this room during this, and need to kill a number of keepers to power up the skull. The keeper's have very little health, one knife will kill them so you don't need to waste ammo, this is quite easy, just keep moving. Once all the necessary keepers are killed the skull of nan- sapwe is your, and all players can get one. This works like the sword in shadows of evil, will pull it out and it has a limited use, it is quite powerful though and can get you out a bind.
Initial step, mesmerize a wall
This is very easy step, and has to be done in order to get gears to spawn in the map, so do it as soon as you get the skull of nan- sapwe.
Head into the purple water room in bunker, and stand in the corner, you will see a small corner of a map on one of the walls. You need to pull out the skull and mesmerize with this map for a few seconds. This will reveal a larger map. Now, without putting the skull away (and hurrying because the skull is on a timer). Run back to the exit to the bunker. While facing the exit, you will see a chained door to your left (its an elevator). To the left of this is a blank wall, again do the same thing, mesmerize the wall for a few seconds and it will disappear, revealing a small room behind it. In here there is a motor to control the elevator, which is what you put the three gears on. Step done.
Challenges
This Easter egg requires every player have completed all three of their challenges. The challenge room (same as where the skulls spawn) has 4 vertical pillars in, with 3 symbols engraved into them, each pillar has a different players challenges on them, and you can't see your team mates challenges. So find your pillar and look at the challenges. They are ranked from easiest at the bottom, to hardest at the top. There are a total of 16 different challenges you could get and they all vary in difficulty. Completing each challenge will give you a reward depending on the tier (just hold while looking at the challenge symbol to obtain it). The lowest tier gives you a free max ammo, the middle tier gives you one of a selection of guns (the brecci is probably the best, if you dont get the brecci just don't grab whatever it gives you and you can do it again once it goes back). The top tier will allow you to obtain a 5th perk.
Now, there are some challenges which you should avoid outright, as they can be very difficult. If someone has one of these challenges, it is best to just restart (sinse you are looking at challenges on round 1, this isn't that biog of deal). The ones you want to avoid are:
-Kill 3 zombies as they are mutating. For me personally, I don't find this to be that hard, but most people do consider it very difficult, it is best to avoid it.
-Kill 30 zombies with the propeller trap. This isn't crazy difficult in theory, the problem being the propeller trap is in a terrible spot, forcing you to basically trap yourself for a time in order to get kills.
Besides these two, the challenges are not that difficult, a few of them require you water plants in a specific way. I won't detail how to do every challenge here, but there are plenty of guides on how to.
Anyway, once all players have completed there challenges, it causes a lightning strike to periodically hit the area, which is needed for later steps
Building the Shield
The shield on this map is very easy to build, unfortunately, unlike past maps, all it does is cover your back, no rockets or anything on it. There are 3 parts around the map located:
-In the blue water area, underneath the power room
-The area right before the green water, the open area in front of the power room
-The AA gun room (first right when entering the bunker).
Obtain all three pieces (they may change positions every game, but they are in the same general areas) and build the shield, in the green water power room, all players should grab one as it is good for covering your back, and needed for future steps.
Building the KT-4
The un- upgraded KT- 4 is a decently powerful weapon, by itself, it is not really required, but you will need to upgrade it (which is kind of difficult) to do the easter egg.
The KT- 4 has 3 parts, which are fairly easy to obtain.
1. Spider venom: In the blue water power room, there is a cage which can be lowered using the button beside it. Lowering the cage will bring it underneath the area and open the cage. You need to wait for a spider round, and stand near the cage, a spider will walk into it and stay there. Now head back up to the power room, and raise the cage the same way you lowered it. A needles will take some venom from the spider, which you can now collect, very easy.
2. The flower: in the final room of the bunker, there is a door which you can see mule kick through. Enter it and turn left. There is a large path submerged in water. You must reach the end of this. Near the start, there is small pockets of air you can rise to use, but once the area turns kind of blue, there are no longer. At the very end of this tunnel is a flower, grab this, its the piece. Right beside it is a spore, which, when shot, will blow air bubbles for ou to breathe. Head out of there with the flower. This is quite easy to do once you know the tunnel well enough.
3. Green... thing: This one is simple, starting at around round 5, a zombie might spawn with a green glow about him, kill him, and he drops the piece, easy as that.
Head to the back of the end room of bunker, and you will see a work bench with a bunch of sciency stuff on it (note there are 2, but one is used for upgrading the Kt- 4. Hold on this thing and it will craft for you the KT-4. Once someone grabs it, it will appear in the box, and everyone can grab it if they get it from the box.
Upgrading the KT-4
This is much more of a challenge compared to just building the KT-4, but it is required to do this easter egg. As with the KT- 4 , the matsamune (thats what its called) requires three ingredients be collected, and then added to the KT-4.
1. Spider tooth:
This requires you have killed the spider boss. This is really quiet easy, and can be done on a decently early round. You really only need jug as a perk and a few decent enough weapons. You will also need the un- upgraded kt- 4 to get access to the fight. By the blue water there is a large spider web covering an opening. Shoot this with the KT- 4 and enter. The spider boss has a few attacks, but they're pretty easy to avoid. To kill it shoot it in its mouth when it is glowing yellow. It doesn't take long. The only challenge you face is potentially running out of ammo, the hit box on its mouth its quite small so you will miss many shots. It will occasionally spawn other small spiders, which stand a chance of dropping a max ammo, but for the most part you want to try and kill it before you run out. When you do kill it, you can walk up to its fangs and hold to remove one of them, which is the part you need. As well further through the cave is a small body of liquid which will give you the perk widow's wine for free, and you can keep coming back if you down.
2. Skeleton tube... thing
For this one all players will have needed to do their challenges. Once this is done, have one player stand in the challenge area with their shield out (meaning not on your back). Eventually (no longer than 2 or so minutes) lightning will strike, and your shield will become electrified! This has its own benefits, for 1, any zombies which now hit you in the shield die, and, if you melee a perk machine with your shield it will cost half the price. Now, take the electrified shield over to the green water power room. In there, you will see a cage much like the one you trapped the spider in for the KT-4 part. This time, you can't hit the button to lower it however. You must melee the control panel with the electric shield, which opens up the cage, and walk in yourself. If you are playing solo, the cage will automatically lower and come back, but if not, another player needs to hold on the control panel to lower you. You will enter this very bright confined space full of skeletons, one of the skeletons has a tube like thing its rib cage, grab it. Now have the other player hold again to get you out.
3.Flower 2.0
This is similar to the flower from the first KT- 4, but more time consuming, as you are basically growing it yourself over the course of 3 rounds. You need special water for this however, rainbow water. To get this, you must take the sewer system from the end of the bunker to the green water (making sure you have a bucket), and holding at the right time. You can't hold it the whole time, nor can you spam it, it can also be very difficult to see wehre you need to do it, here's what I do. When you enter the sewer your surroundings will be bright green, then as you proceed they'll quickly change to blue, then back to green, then blue again, you need to hold as soon as you enter the second blue area. Doing this got me it every time. You can keep doing this to refil your rainbow water as often as you like, but for this piece, you basically need to water a specific plant 3 times (once per round) with the rainbow water. The plant in question is at the end of the water tunnel, where you obtained the plant for the Kt-4. Opposite where the spore spawns, there is a blank wall. You need to mesmerize this wall with the skull of nan- sapwe to reveal a hidden planting location. Plant a seed here and water it with rainbow water, returning every round to re- water it. It is easy to drown here, so be careful, stamin- up lets you hold your breath longer, and don't forget to shoot the spore. Once it has been watered three times over three rounds, a flower will spawn which you can pick up.
Having got all three parts head to the same place you built the KT- 4, and opposite this area is another bench for upgrading it. You need a KT- 4 already to upgrade it. NOTE: It is very important that your best player grab the matsamune, unlike the KT- 4, only one person can have this. If they down with it's okay, because you can upgrade a KT-4 from the box, but, if the person with the matsamune bleeds out in the boss battle, you're screwed. There's no escape and no way to finish the easter egg, so you're stuck in the boss battle until you die.
Gear 1: Anywhere but here
Now I'll tell you how to obtain all the gears needed to fix the elevator. The first one is pretty easy, one person will require the anywhere but here gobblegum. After killing the spider boss, use anywhere but here while in the boss fight area. This will transport you to a normally unreachable room above the blue water power. There are broken dragon eggs lying around, and the gear is lying on the floor. Grab it, and get out of there using a ladder, gear 1 done.
Gear 2: Zipline
This one is a bit more challenging, and you put yourself at risk by trying it. To start, one person will need to get an electrified shield, they, as well as one other person, need to stand by the bottom landing of the zipline (the door to the left of the power switch room). Now, if you see, there is a dock outside of the map, which you can't reach, you need to get to it by falling off the zipline. The theories simple, one person is on the zipline, and another hits the control box with the electric shield to toss them off. However, when you fall off, you don't carry any momentum, so it can be kind of hard to tell when to do it. What's worse, if you miss the dock, the person on the zipline instantly bleeds out, losing their perks and guns. So obviously you don't want to miss. Thankfully there is a pretty easy way to land safely everytime. Just make sure you use the lower zipline, and as soon as the person activates the zipline melee the box. The dock is pretty much right there so you can't undershoot it coming from the bottom, but if you wait just a split second too long, you'll die. Also if you're doing this solo, you must melee the electric box, jump on the zipline, then press to fall off. Once on the dock, you will see the next gear plain as day sitting on the ground, grab it.
Gear 3: Shhotin' a plane
This one can be quite frustrating. To start, as soon as you reveal the elevator room, begin planting seeds and watering them with blue water and shooting them with the KT- 4 once a round for 3 rounds. You can, and should, have as many of these plants going as you can. Because you are looking for something specific, which isn't guaranteed to drop. After 3 rounds, the plants will turn into these these large purple pod things, which you can open. These can actually give you some decent stuff, but what you're looking for here is a large, very obvious artillery shell.
Once you get one, head over to the AA gun room in bunker (first right as you enter). You'll notice the large AA gun (I mean... obviously). Now this part is really fidgety. Your goal is to use the AA gun and the shell you just found to shoot down a large plane which has been flying over the map every few minutes. You need to first load the gun by holding on the back of it. It is very specific where it wants you to hold , so move around until you get it, you hear a faint click when it is loaded. What's annoying is you may think you loaded it but didn't, or vice versa, which could be bad because you might accidentally fire the gun when you thought you were just loading it. When it is loaded, you want to wait for the large plane to fly into its sights and hold again to fire, it is pretty difficult to miss, the game's pretty generous. If you do miss, you will need to get another artillery shell from the plant. When you destroy it, pay close attention, because a smoking piece of debris will fly off and into somewhere on the map, this is the gear. Find it and grab it, and now you're ready for the boss fight!
Building the gas mask
Something very important first is the gas mask, if you enter the boss fight area without one, you will slowly die. The pieces for the gas mask are:
-In the green water area
-By the propeller trap
-The area at the bottom of the zipline
As with the shield, the locations change, but they are in the same general area. Grab all these pieces and build it by the purple water. The gas mask isn't super useful until the boss fight, so don't bother with it until then, as well you definitely want a full one going in.
Boss fight
Head to the hidden room in bunker you opened with the skull and place the 3 gears on the motor, which opens up the elevator. Before you go down though, make sure you're geared up appropriately. Everyone should have full perks and upgraded weapons (preferably shotguns) its smart to bring in some gobblegums too, andmost importantly make sure everyone has a gas mask, and someone has a matsamune.
Once you're all geared up, everyone jump on the elevator and head down. When you reach the bottom, there will be some vines in your way with glowing orange areas on them. You need to clear these using the matsamune, a regular KT- 4 won't work. Enter the room and you'll see the tree monster thing you'll be fighting, it doesn't start right awayyou need to shoot one of its 4 arms in the orange bit to start it.
As I said, this is quite an easy boss fight. Basically, a number of thrashers and spiders will keep spawning, so don't kill them unless you need to (thrashers can drop max ammo). The boss himself, Takeo, rarely attacks you, he sometimes will slam his arm in front of himself, so try no to be super close to him. To kill him, you need to destroy all 4 of his arms using the matsamune. The first one is free, so you really only need to destroy the other 3. Usually, he is invulnerbale, but after about a minute of running around the area, avoiding thrashers, the weak point on one his arms will be revealed, which you need to shoot with the matsamune (it dies almost instantly). So just rinse and repeat that for his 2 other arms. Very easy. Some things to keep in mind:
-Your gas mask depletes if you run into the gas the thrashers drop when they die, so avoid that as best you can, because if your gas mask does deplete you will slowly suffocate.
-Keep moving, in the same direction as everyone else. Don't kill enemies unless they are in your way, as it will just respawn. Be always looking at Takeo to see if you can shoot him.
-Th guy with the matsamune must live at all costs! If he downs, it is worth sacrificing yourself to pick him up, because only he can damage the boss. If he does bleed out, as I said, you're stuck in the boss fight with no escape (the door locks you in) unless you die.
Once you shoot the final arm, he'll die and a pretty interesting cut scene will play. The achievement pops as soon as this is done, and you get all perks.
This Easter egg is fairly easy if you know the map well enough as it is basically just map completion. It is quite time consuming, but not super difficult.
If you have any questions ask me in the comments, and good luck!
This can be done in either Co-Op or Solo.
I will include many video tutorials at the bottom of the guide.
You can do many of these steps in whatever order you wish, but you must mesmerize the poster and the wall with the skull before you can begin any of the cog quests. Some steps, like upgrading the KT-4, requires other items, like the Skull of Nan Sapwe to mesmerize the hidden wall. Practice doing some of these steps in other games and you will eventually learn a system for you in which you know what order you like doing things in.
BEFORE YOU START YOUR GAME: Equip the Anywhere But Here Gobblegum. It is a requirement for this easter egg. You cannot complete a step in the quest unless at least one person in your party has it in their Gobblegum pack.
1. Turn on the permanent power source.
Fill both buckets of water. One in Lab A, one in Lab B. Head into the bunker, clear the webs, fight the spawning horde, flip the switch.
2. Build the Shield
There are 3 parts scattered throughout the map. One near the Kuda wall chalk, one on the side of the tree near Lab B, and the last part is in the room with the Artillery gun.
3. Build the KT-4
There are 3 parts scattered throughout the map. Collect the green vial from a random zombie with a green mist exuding from it, trap a spider in the cage that drops from Lab A, then bring spider back into lab to collect purple spider juice, Finally go collect the plant located at the end of the water tunnel at the very back of the bunker. Take the 3 parts to the Division 9 lab at the back of the bunker, near where you grabbed the plant part.
4. Build the Skull of Nan Sapwe
Between the spawn area and Lab B, is an alter with 4 skulls on it. Grab a skull and bring it to the pedestal with the same symbol as the skull.
The 4 pedestals are:
-In the spawn area
-The area with plane propeller traps
-The docks
-The Division 9 labs at the very back of the bunker.
Once you've placed the skull in the pedestal, kill the zombies/spiders that spawn and just kind of dodge the Thrasher, a new one will spawn in after you kill it. Once enough time has passed all the zombies/spiders/thrashers will dissapear. Grab the clean skull and bring it back to the alter. Once all 4 are done, go down the stairs revealed behind the tree. Start final step: Press on skull, and kill Keepers until they stop spawning.
5. Complete the Trials.
Each character in the game has 3 trials to complete and can receive a reward for each completed trial. These trials can be anything from Kill 20 zombies underwater to Water a plant 3 times. Once all 3 are completed, a random lightning bolt will strike the alter area every minute or so. Don't forget to collect your rewards if you still need better weapons.
6. Upgrade the KT-4 to the Masamune.
You must get 3 parts and then build it in the machine to the right of where you built the KT-4. Your first part is on the dead spider boss. After killing the spider boss, walk up to its mandibles and take its tooth.
The second part requires you to pull out your shield on the alter right after lightning strikes it. This will give you an electric charge. Strike the green cage console in Lab B with your electric shield. You will now be able to enter the cage. If you are in solo you will automatically go down into the ground. If you are in a Co-Op game, your other teammate will have to lower you vial the console. Either way, grab the blue vial jammed into the rib cage of one of the skeletons.
For the final part, use the water tunnel that pulls you out of the Bunker Lab and into the area with green water. At a very specific point you must press to collect rainbow water. Its hard to explain so just watch the video I've included if you don't know where this spot is.
Once you've collected the water, mesmerize the wall immediately beside where you picked up the first plant piece. Plant a seed in the newly revealed area and water it with the rainbow water over the course of 3 rounds. When fully grown, collect it, and then upgrade your KT-4.
7. Mesmerize the poster, then the wall to the elevator
In the same room as the purple water will be a scrap of paper on the wall. Use the Skull of Nan Sapwe to mesmerize the wall which will reveal the full paper. Then run up to the entrance of the bunker and mesmerize the wall opposite to the door leading to the artillery gun. This will now begin the Easter Egg and the 3 cogs will now spawn into the map. A large airplane will begin flying over the map every few minutes.
8. Collect the 3 Cogs
Cog 1.
Plant a seed, water it with blue water, and shoot it with the KT-4/Masamune. Do this for 3 rounds and it will grow an item producing plant. Plant multiples of this for a greater chance of getting the item you want. You want to get an incredibly large artillery shell. It is obvious when you get the shell. When you get it, take it to the artillery gun and hold at the back of the gun and you will hear a thunk. This means it is loaded. Wait until the plane flies overhead and when it lines up with barrel, press and it will blow up the plane. The cog will be smoking on the ground in front of a red sign near Lab A and the Kuda wall chalk.
Cog 2.
Use an Anywhere but Here Gobblegum and you will teleported on top of one of the labs. In this area is a cog on the ground. This can only be accessed via the Gobblegum.
Cog 3
Get an electric charge on your shield via the skull alter and head to the zipline. If solo you must bash the console with your shield. Then zipline. As you zipline and you are directly overtop of the wooden dock area, click down on simultaneously. This will drop you into an area with the final cog. Warning, make sure you are over the docks and not the water. Dropping at the wrong time can and will kill you.
If you are in a Co-Op game the steps are similar but I think your partner has to drop you.
9. Take Elevator to boss battle
Place the 3 cogs in the elevator control room and go down in the elevator. At the bottom is several roots with orange spore fungus on them. Shoot it with the Masmune. This is basically letting you know what to do in the upcoming boss fight.
10. Fight the boss
This fight is pretty straightforward, shot at any orange spores on the giant tree monsters limbs. Many, many, spiders, thrashers, and zombies will constantly spawn in. Constantly run around, charge shots at the ground and kill as many enemies as you can between shooting at the limbs of the tree monster. I found it really helped to occasionally toss a monkey bomb and then fire a charged shot of the Masamune at the ground by the monkey. When the boss has been shot in the limbs enough times all enemies will despawn, you will enter a cutscene and your trophy will pop
Notes:
Things that help greatly are The Gas Mask, Pack-a-Punch as well as Green Trap Plants.
-The green trap plants are so incredibly helpful. If you haven't used them, I suggest you start. They are the ones that look like a praying mantis claw. Plant a seed and grow it with green water. It also helps if you shoot the seed/plant with the KT-4/Masamune every time you water it. Once it is fully grown, run one of your last zombies for the round in front of the plant and it will grab your zombie. The zombie will now stay in the trap for a specific time which is dependent on how many times you shot your seed/plant with the KT-4/Masamune. This plant can hold your zombie up to an hour! You can run around the map completing any quests and steps without risking killing your last zombie and starting a new round. I used this for Skull of Nan Sapwe as well as for most of the cog steps, especially for firing the artillery shell.
Just wanted to let you know that cog 1 from the airplane can spawn in multiple locations.
Might also be worth mentioning that you need your gas mask when going down the elevator. I once forgot it and I just straight up choked to death while going down, and was unable to do anything. Game Over
If you your going to give it a try I'd say definitely run Wall power ( KRM is a great gun early on)
2X ( double points) , Theres many doors to open.
Fire Sale ( once the kt-4 has been built everyone else can get it from the mystery box )
Percaholic or on the house ( Speeds things up )
And some one needs anywhere but here to obtain one of the cog parts!
Good Luck
This trophy is for completing the Easter Egg of the map. There are a bunch of steps to completing this one, but luckily a lot of these steps can by combined together at the same time. Most of these steps should be completed around the same time, and luckily since none of the steps (other than challenges) require killing zombies, you can do a lot of these steps in the same round by having a player leave 1 zombie alive. All players in the game will get this trophy at the same time.
Steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 should be done in any order simultaneously to minimize difficulty later. As you open a new area, there may be parts for a buildable item, an opportunity for a challenge, or a location for a skull, so try to complete those 4 steps at the same time.
Step 5 can be completed once you have the Skull of Nan Sapwe (Step 2).
Step 6 can be done at any time once you get the KT-4.
Steps 7 & 8 can be done simultaneously, but you can get the parts needed for these steps throughout the entire EE process once you get the items needed for each part.
Step 1: Turn on the power.
In order to turn the power on, you must have most of the map unlocked already, specifically Lab A, Lab B, and the path connecting them. You will also need a bucket that you can fill with irradiated water (any colour). Buckets can be found at the spawn, Lab A, Lab B, and the Bunker in multiple locations.
There are 3 power switches in the map: Lab A (which turns on power on the left side of the map), Lab B (which turns on power for the right side), and 1 in the Bunker (permanently leaves power on).
The power switch in Labs A and B are only temporary, and they will turn off after a few minutes. You turn them on by bringing a full water bucket to the switch (which looks like a bowl with a luminescent blue colour on the rim, attached to a panel), and holding .
To open the Bunker, you need to turn on the power in both labs, then run to the entrance (the path connecting the 2 labs), and press on the door to open it. From the Bunker entrance, make your way forward into the 2nd room, and buy the door on the left for 1500 points. This is the Power Switch Room. In the Power Room, you’ll see a switch with a light flashing red above it, telling you to unblock the underwater vents. Turn around, and there’s a path leading underwater where you’ll sere another flashing red light. Hold near it to clear away the webs. This traps you underwater, and also spawns in a few zombies that you need to kill. (You can go up for air in this area still, make sure you don’t drown!) Once you kill all the zombies, the door opens, and you can turn on the power.
Step 2: Power up the Skulls to get the Skull of Nan Sapwe.
From the spawn area, if you open up the door on the right for 500 points, and continue forward to another door costing 750 points, you’ll reach the altar where the Skulls are. There are 4 skulls here, and you can pick up any of them as well as place them back if you don’t want that particular one (use ). Each skull has a distinct pattern of symbols on the altar underneath it, and around the map there are 4 altars that you need to bring these skulls to in order to power them up. The locations for the altars are as follows:
Spawn - To the right of the lake you spawn at.
Airplane Trap – Immediately in front of the open area at the entrance, hard to miss.
Yellow Test Tube Area (The game calls it the Operation Room, but it’s confusing underground so I call it the Yellow Test Tube Room due to the many yellow tubes scattered in the area) – On the lower floor, near the KT4/Masamune buildable spot.
Docks Area – In the middle of this small area.
When you place a skull on any of these altars, it will spawn a few waves of green covered zombies that make a beeline straight for the altar. Once you kill a lot of them, they will disappear and the skull will be white, meaning it’s powered up. Now take the skull back to the altar and place it back down where you got it. Each time you power a skull the enemies added become tougher. The first time it’s just simple zombies, the second is zombies and spiders, third time is zombies and Thrashers, and the last one is all 3 types. Once all 4 skulls are powered up, a hidden room will open up right next to the main altar. Down here you press on another bigger skull, and this time you fight lots of keepers that chase you around. Simply keep killing them until they disappear, and the Skull of Nan Sapwe is yours! (The Ultimate Sacrifice will pop here)
Step 3: Complete all Challenges.
This step is harder to do the more players there are. If you make it to the altar where you get the skulls (go right through 2 doors from the spawn), you will see 4 pillars in each corner of the altar.
The pillars have challenges on them that you can view by going up close to the one that is yellow coloured (that one is yours, the blue ones correspond to the other players). Each player will have 3 challenges of increasing difficulty, and all the challenges must be completed in order to advance the EE steps.
The lowest challenge on the pillar is the easy one, which usually involves doing something with plants (like water a plant 3 times, water 5 different plants, etc.) or with spores (shoot 5 spores, use a spore underwater, etc.) The prize for completing this is a Max Ammo.
The middle challenge is a medium one, and involves killing specific ways (like underwater, plane trap, fan trap, headshot spore infected zombies, etc.) The prize for this challenge is a weapon, either the SVG, Dingo, or Brecci. You can also choose to not get the prize and next time it might give you another weapon.
The highest challenge is usually the toughest one. These usually involve something to do with killing mutated zombies specific ways (like headshots, kill before they enrage, kill before they mutate, etc.) but sometimes you get lucky and it’s to eat a fruit from a plant or use the fan/plane traps, which is way easier! The prize for this challenge is you can buy an extra perk.
Also note that if any player gets the challenge involving “Killing X zombies before they mutate,” I advise quitting the game and starting a new one. It’s the only challenge that is really random and is incredibly tough to do because of the randomness of enemy spawns.
Once all the challenges are complete, lightning will strike the altar every few minutes, which you can use to get an Electric Shield later.
Step 4: Build the Shield, Gas Mask, KT-4, and unlock the PaP machine.
Technically the Gas Mask and PaP machine aren’t needed, but they make all the underwater steps really easy as well as the boss fight.
Here are the locations of all the parts for each item: (Also note that each part for the Shield/Gas Mask can be in 3 spots in each area)
Shield:
Lab A Area – Underneath the Lab, there is a wallbuy icon for the Kuda SMG on a rectangular pillar. The part can spawn on that pillar, the one opposite attached to the Lab wall, or the pillar slightly counterclockwise around the Lab.
Lab B Area – The part spawns on a tree. The 3 locations are the tree where you drop down from the Skull Altar, the tree on the left at the entrance to the Lab area (from the ruins before the altar), or the tree by the exit leading to the Bunker.
AA Gun Area – The last part spawns here in the back left corner, or the back right corner.
Gas Mask:
Plane Trap Area – The part can spawn on the right tunnel at one end, the same tunnel at the other end, or left of the mystery box on a rock.
Green Pool – This part can spawn on a box near the perk machine, a box on the right side by the Lab B stairs, or on a shelf near the irradiated meteor right in front of the pool of green water.
Dock Area – The final part spawns on a box next to the altar or a box near the Zipline exit.
You can build the Gas Mask and Shield inside Lab A or Lab B on a workbench, my group always did the Shield in Lab B, and the Mask in Lab A.
KT-4:
Lab A Area – After you turn on the power here, you can lower a cage to the ground with , and you’ll notice a purple coloured hand sitting in it. Play a few rounds until you get a spider round, and stand near the cage to make a spider go into it. Once a spider enters the cage, go upstairs into the lab and raise the cage with , a needle will kill the spider and draw purple liquid into a vial. Simply grab the vial with .
Lab B Area – After turning on the main power switch, the next round will spawn a zombie in a white lab coat with a glowing green test tube. Simply kill it and grab the part he drops.
Underwater Construction Area – Make your way through the flooded caverns as far down as possible, past a bunch of blue crystals, until you reach a dead end with the item here (Note that you can use spores to regain air here if you are about to drown).
Once you have all 3 parts, you can build the KT-4 in the lower floor of the Yellow Test Tube room. Also once it is built, any player has a chance to get one from the mystery box if they want one too.
Pack-a-Punch Parts:
(Note that all these parts are in the Bunker, and are in the 3 rooms surrounding the flooded PaP machine)
Power Switch Room – After turning on the power by killing all the underwater zombies, the part comes out of the blocked pipe.
Cocoon/Purple Water Room – This room is on the right side of the PaP area. There are cocoons everywhere and if you knife one, a zombie comes out that you should kill. Simply keep knifing every cocoon you come across until 1 of them drops the part you need.
Underwater Construction Area – In the flooded caverns, it’s in one of the tunnels you swim through at the start of the area. If you see the blue crystals in the lower part of this area, you’ve gone too far.
There are valves along the side of the flooded PaP pool. Each part goes with the valve across from the area it was in, once all are placed the PaP machine will be accessible.
Step 5: Unlock the secrets with the Skull to start the EE.
Now that you’ve gotten the Skull, there are a few things you need to do with it. You need to shine it on a few spots around the map to star the actual EE process. (You equip it with + then you can kill zombies with or use to stop zombies from moving. The move is what we use for this step.)
First, head to the Cocoon/Purple Water Room. From the pool of purple water, directly behind you is a wall with a torn poster on it. Shine the Skull on this spot until you see the poster appear.
Next, while you still have the skull equipped, go to the entrance to the Bunker. Directly across from the AA gun entrance is an elevator shaft covered by a metal barrier. To the left of this is a blank wall, shine the skull here to open up the elevator maintenance room.
Finally, there’s 1 more spot to open up (You might need to wait for the skull to recharge, or have another player here). Head to the Underwater Tunnel where you got the part for the KT-4, and shine the skull on the wall to the right to open up a secret area where you can plant a seed. (Don’t plant anything yet, there’s an item you need first!)
Step 6: Fight the Spider mini-boss.
Once you have the KT-4 built, I suggest getting the Juggernog perk before starting this fight. Head to the Lab A Area, and go to where the Blue Pool is. There are some webs that are light blue here that you can destroy with the KT-4. Head through this tunnel and you will fall into a pit where you fight a mini-boss, a giant spider.
You can only hurt the spider when you see green slime spewing from it’s mouth, simply shoot it in the face until it dies. Sometimes it spawns little spiders that can give you a Max Ammo powerup if you run low as well.
After it dies you can get Widow’s Wine from a pool of water after the boss, which will give you Sanguine Serum . You can head back here at any time if you need more.
Step 7: Upgrade the KT-4.
This step requires getting 3 more parts, none of which show up in your inventory, so you have to require on visual sight and listening to the character’s dialogue to know if you got the items needed.
First, you’ll need the Rainbow Water and a seed. To get this, you have to go to the Yellow Test Tube room (Where you built the KT-4). On one side of the lower floor, there is a sewer pipe that will take you to the Green Pool Area for 500 points. While riding through here, you’ll pass 2 open-ish rooms with a blue hue, after the second room, hold square as you pass by a pipe on the right and you’ll grab the Rainbow Water (Might take a few tries to get it). Now head to the Underwater Tunnel where the KT-4 part was, and plant the seed in the new tunnel you opened up with the skull. Water it with the Rainbow Water. Now do this for 2 more rounds in a row, and after the third round it will spawn the part you need.
The next part is really easy, once you beat the spider boss, simply walk up to its dead body and hold on it. You’ll know you have the part if your character talks about it.
The final part requires an Electric Shield. To get an Electric Shield, you need all 3 challenges done for every player, then simply equip a shield while the altar gets struck by lightning to electrify your shield. (Note if you melee a zombie with it, the effect will disappear and you’ll need to wait until lightning strikes the altar again, but you’ll also get the Assault With Battery trophy!)
Once your shield is electrified, head to Lab B, and you’ll see a cage that you can lower. Next to that one is another cage that you can melee with your shield ( to equip it, then to melee), and once you melee it, you can enter it and it will lower you down below into a bright blue room. There is a skeleton next to the cage that holds the final part.
Once you have all 3 parts, you build the Masamune next to the build spot for the KT-4.
Step 8: Grab the 3 cogs and activate the elevator.
There are 3 cogs that you must collect around the map in order to activate the elevator that takes you to the boss.
Cog 1 - This one requires the Gobblegum “Anywhere But Here.” Once any player gets the gum they must use it, and if they’re lucky they will teleport to a hidden room above Lab A filled with giant egg shells (Some people have reported using it after the Spider boss fight in the boss room and it took them to the room, but it seems to only work after you’ve opened up the walls with the Skull in Step 5). Inside this room, find a cracked shell and the cog is on the ground near it.
Cog 2 – This requires building the Electric Shield. Once you have your shield, go to the Zipline connecting Lab A to the Bunker. Melee the Zipline switch which will electrocute the line itself. Now use it and press melee while sliding to drop onto the docks, where the part awaits (If you’re playing multiplayer, instead of pressing melee while on the line, your teammate just has to zap the control box while you’re on it to drop you down).
Cog 3 – Once you have the KT-4 and a seed, plant it at any seed spot. Now grab Blue Water (near Lab A), water the plant with the water, and shoot the plant with the KT-4 too. You’ll see green sparkles showing you did it right. Repeat this for 2 more rounds in a row, and after the next round it should spawn a giant AA Gun shell. Sometimes it will spawn a revive plant, it’s heavily luck based. If you have extra seeds feel free to plant multiple in the hopes that you get lucky. Now head to the AA Gun and put the shell in with , then wait until you see the big plane fly overhead, and shoot it down with again. If you miss, you’ll have to repeat planting again until you get another shell.
Once the plane is shot down, the cog will fall down from the wreckage, and it can fall near the entrance to the Bunker or by the Green Pool.
Once you have all 3 cogs, head to the elevator maintenance room that you opened in Step 5, and place the 3 cogs there. This opens the elevator for the boss fight.
Step 9: Use the elevator and beat the boss to finish the EE!
The final step! Wait until every player has Juggernog, Speed Cola, Quick Revive, a Pack-a-Punched weapon, and the Masamune if possible. Having the gum "Aftertaste" might sound like a good idea, but many players have experienced a glitch where the enemies stop spawning during the boss fight with it equipped. They had to restart, so to be safe don't use it. Also make sure you have a full Gas Mask before heading down there!
Also, if you got lucky and had a revive plant spawn in during the last few rounds, activate it before the boss fight in case you go down so you can have another chance!
Now head down the elevator to fight the boss!
The boss is basically a giant Thrasher that stays still behind a wall, and occasionally uses its branches to slap you, which is a 1-hit kill. As long as you don’t go near it, you’re in no danger.
In order to beat it, every so often a branch will open up and spores are visible. Fire a Masamune shot into the boss and it should take down that branch almost instantly.
In between waiting for the branches to open up, it will spawn an infinite amount of Thrashers and spiders, so you’ll have to keep on your toes to avoid getting killed by them.
After shooting off all the boss’ branches, he’ll be defeated, and you’ll view the final cutscene to get your trophy! Congrats!
