How to unlock the We've Only Just Begun achievement in Call of Duty: WWII - Definitive Guide

So for this achievement your gonna need to finish the first (out of 3) map from the tortures path. If you don’t know what the tortured path is, it’s basically 10 rounds each getting more difficult than a normal zombies map, and every 3 rounds there is a different type of round where you have to finish an objective, if you fail the objective then you fail the entire match, after round 9 on round 10 there will be a boss once you beat the boss you go on to round “11” and exfil. So for this you need to beat all 9 rounds and the boss and successfully escape. For this you will want an SVT and any other decent gun. Obviously you will want to pap, to open pap in this map you have to fill up souls for three different batteries the first one on rounds 1-2, the second on rounds 4-5, and the last on 7-8. After that’s done you only need to worry about the boss. The boss is a brenner that you cannot hit unless you hit him with a blast, to “blast” him you have to get him into a red circle that will be near and wait for him to get blasted then while he’s vulnerable kill him with the SVT.

Story related, cannot be missed.
Into the Storm is the first map of the Tortured Path.

This map is the easiest one, which is expected for your first experience with the new DLC.

I recommend using a loadout with Frontline, and for mods equip Vicious, Team Effort(co-op)/Determination(solo), and Lucky Crit/Fully Loaded.
Vicious allows you to do triple damage when using Frontline; Determination gives you free armour when activating it, whereas Team Effort gives your teammates the same damage bonus; Lucky Crit makes you do tons of damage on hitting weakpoints, useful with fully auto weapons, whereas Fully Loaded gives you more ammo.

For weapons, equip the 9mm SAP and Sticky Grenades. Do not ever get rid of the SAP! It’s the best weapon in the game when PaP! Also look out for a SVT or M1A1 Carbine, as these ones PaP are insanely powerful!

Here’s what you should plan to do on each wave:

  1. Power up the battery in the back right corner near the windmill. Also spend 500 points on starting weapons nonstop until you get Jacks.
  2. Save your points to buy an SMG if you don’t get Jacks early on.
  3. Objective Wave
  4. Power up the battery in the cellar. Also keep spinning for Jacks if you didn’t get them. Try to get an M1A1 or a SVT once you get the Jacks. Start buying perks, starting with Damage first, followed by Reload, Sprint, and Electric Reload/Quick Revive.
  5. Kill enemies, nothing special.
  6. Objective Wave.
  7. Power up final battery, located between the spawn and the rightmost house. PaP your SAP first, then the other weapon.
  8. Kill enemies, nothing special.
  9. Objective Wave.
  10. Boss Fight!
  11. Escape!

Objective Waves:

  • Repair all the points in time.
  • Kill all special zombies (Bombers or Gecholts).
  • Defeat the Meistermeuchlers.
  • Kill the V.I.Z. before it reaches its destination.
  • Defend the Supplies.
  • Destroy the 4 weakpoints on the Zeppelin.
  • Escort the Bomber to its destination.

Boss Fight: Raketenbrenner.
He spawns right next to where the supply crates drop, so make sure you’re not looking at those drops at the start!
He has a shield up that negates all damage. He just runs around the map trying to flamethrower you so as long as you’re not right next to him, you should be fine.

To beat him, you’ll see red circles on the ground. After a few seconds, a missile drops on that location. If the missile hits the boss, his shield deactivates for a short time. This is when you attack him.

The best way to do so is throw a Jack in the middle of a circle when it spawns in, then as soon as the missile takes away the shield, activate Frontline and fire your SAP at his fuel tanks. He should go down fairly quickly.
If you take too long, he’ll activate another shield and you’ll have to find another missile to take it down again. Repeat until he’s dead.

Escape!
The escape waves are incredibly easy compared to everything else you just survived! You have to be at the location given when the timer runs out. In this map the location is next to where the boss spawned in.
I prefer to just run a train of zombies around far away from the exit, then running into the exit as time expires, whereas some people like to stand in the circle and kill nonstop. Do whatever you’re comfortable with.

Once you complete the escape, the trophy will pop!
