How to unlock the MW3 - Slaughterhouse achievement in Call of Duty - Definitive Guide
As of patch 1.33 the amount of zombies that spawn at exfil sites have been drastically reduced and the exfil timer has been increased to 45 seconds. That method is still doable but instead of getting up to 5,000 kills a game you will get around 300-800 kills a game using that method. Luckily, "DDShadow", "Tylerroosky", "MoG Alucard212", and "TyroneRundaGang" have mentioned an alternative way to the exfil camping strat that can generally get you anywhere between 1,500-3,500 kills. Currently the fastest strat is the outlast control strat.
After the season 1 patch, this has been completely reset for some players. If you played on Dec 7th before the 2nd 5GB update came out, then you got reset back to 0%. As of December 8th 2023 the kills are appearing correctly again in most people's stats however the achievement still has not been fixed for those effected by the reset, and any kills earned before the season 1 patch are still not counting regardless of what the kills in the stats say for those that have been effected. It is recommended you try to earn all 50,000 kills in one season, just in case this happens again when another season update comes out.
Spore Control Strat
Find a spore control contract on the map and activate it. Once activated, find spores that are located close to one another and throw down the inhibitors on the spore circles. (Try to get at least two or three spores for maximum efficiency). Don't attack the spores. The zombies will then come to you, making it easy to average somewhere between 1,500-3,000 kills a game as long as no one else in the game messes with your spores. If you have the RGL-80 and PHD Flopper it will make this 10 times easier. (Just don’t accidentally blow up the spores)
Outlast Contract Strat
Find an outlast contract (icon looks like a satellite dish) on the map and activate it. After activating the contract, "leave the area and roam around to find the zombie spawn point (can be a little further away). 10 zombies will spawn at once but when you kill a zombie another one will spawn making it again 10." Using this method you should be able to average 1,500-3,500 kills per game depending on the loadout you use. RGL-80 and PHD Flopper is probably the best combo, but use whatever you feel the most comfortable with.
Act 1 Final Mission Strat
Start up the mission and get to the end of it where the objective will say "Escort Dr. Jansen to helipad." Once you get to this part of the mission, stand around the helipad and the zombies will spawn in endlessly. The fastest way to kill them would be using the RGL-80 with PHD Flopper and if you have an aetherium crystal (preferably the refined aetherium crystal or the flawless aetherium crystal) you can use that to make it faster. If you have turret circuit boards, you can put them in the sentry gun at the exfil to make this method even faster. Each circuit board only lets the turret run for 2 minutes, so the more you have the better. You should be able to average anywhere between 2,000-3,000 kills using this strat. If you prefer a visual guide, I've included a video below. Video belongs to "MrDalekJD".
Nukes do not count for kills and should be avoided.
Turrets had stopped counting kills in a previous patch, but other people are reporting that they are now counting the kills again, so use at your own risk.
Multiple people have reported that while using the tombstone glitch that none of their kills were counting, so it's best to avoid doing that while going for this achievement.
Old method/Exfil Method
To view how many kills you are currently at, go to the MWZ lobby → press → scroll down to the "STATS" tab → press → then press and it will show the amount of kills you have under time played. Both zombies and mercenaries count towards this achievement. All kills will count as long as you die or exfil. Disconnecting will not count any kills.

You should be able to easily grab 3,000 kills per match if you make sure to do this after completing Act III. You'll have access to lots of high tier weapons and upgrades that make farming significantly faster and easier.

patch seems to significantly reduce zombies at exfils by like 90%

Fastest way to get zombie kills at the moment is with the Outlast contract.
Best weapon to use for the Outlast contract is the RGL-80 Grenade Launcher. You can find this weapon under the launchers section for your insured weapons.
Having perks can also help such as Jugger-Nog, Speed Cola, PHD Flopper and Quick Revive. Most important perk to have I think is PHD-Flopper as the splash radius of the grenade launcher is crazy. PHD also helps with the fire from the dogs.
Also having the Raw Aetherium Crystal Schematic can be helpful also, as it will give you level 1 pack-a-punch.
Good areas to do the Outlast contract from my experience are as follows:
Seaport District - West side of the map.
I've done a few games here where I got over 4000 kills.
Orlov Military Base - North East of the Map.
I've had my best game here to date with over 5100 kills, I went up 10% in the achievement tracker in one match. If you have the zombies spawning at the dock overlooking the water you are set for lots of kills in the match.
One downside to the Orlov Military Base is that sometimes there will be a mercenary stronghold with the machine inside. You'll need to go to a Mercenary Camp and get the keycard or buy one from the buy station to open it.
Shahin Manor - Southeast side of the map.
This is where the big manor is at the bottom right corner of the map. I had a game here where I got over 4500 kills where the storm was at the top of the map.
Once you get to the Outlast contract area, start the machine and wait for it to get to about 20% or so. After this run out of the building and look for where the zombies are spawning. Another great tip is that you can somewhat change the location of where the zombies spawn by getting the generator to go over 50%. Credit LordFightALot.
Having the storm at the opposite side of the map to where you are can help as you'll have more time to farm kills. I've done this a few times where I stayed with 4 or so minutes remaining and the final exfil chopper spawns. This will happen once all other exfil locations have been consumed by the storm.
You generally want to stay in tier 1 area for farming kills as there wont be any super sprinter zombies/disciples.
When going off the for the day, be sure to build any of the perk/weapon schematics that you have.

This is a well written guide and I'm not going to downvote you, but I can't see how you're getting 4000-5000 kills per session. I got to an Outlast contrast at the Seaport in the first 2-3 mins of the match and played until the 15 min countdown (I burned a self revive and the nearest Exfil was in Tier 2 so I wanted time to be prepared) and I only got 1364 kills. Even if I had extended well into the 15 minute window that would have likely only got up to around 1800 at best. Am I missing something?

It depends on the contract location, some areas are better than others. I normally stay until the final exfil spawns. You have 55 minutes or so of farming kills. The Grenade Launcher is the best weapon to use.

As of the latest patch (Season 1), it seems that ALL progress for this achievement has reset. It may say on your Xbox tracker that you still have the same percentage, but this has reset to 0. Meaning any kills you had BEFORE Season 1 are wiped from the Xbox files. The kills you have saved in the CoD files under Stats are still the same though. Will this be patched? Probably not. Does it suck? Absolutely.
The only good news we have from S1 being introduced is they tweaked the exfil zombie numbers. They increased the amount by about 60%. It isn’t like the original amount from before they patched it, but there are a lot. they also cut the exfil reset from 2 mins down to 45 secs. I started with about 40 mins on the clock and left 7 mins left with storm active and got about 4% (around 2,000 kills). I had 18% (9000 kills) before S1. I played multiple games after S1 and racked up around 8000 kills. I then did some exfil farming, and around halfway through my achievement went up to 19%, meaning I reached more kills then I did last season. So yes, this achievement can still be unlocked. The tracker is not stuck, the tracker just simply reset.
To all the people that were hundreds of kills off before Season 1, my condolences. To those who are just starting the grind, goodluck

I've been mixing it up between that Spores, infested strongholds and Defending that robot as they seem quite good kills for the time. I noticed the exfils were better, I wonder now if spamming them might be the quickest way now.
Also have the reduced the Exfils? Doesn't seem as many options as there were

I think Spores are the most efficient anyway as you can set them off and even if the inhibitor despawns and the Spore goes back to blue the zombies keep coming. I'm getting 2200 kills a game doing that and also ranking up a few different small guns while doing it. The only issues is if you bring in resources then you don't have an opportunity to reclaim anything so it's more efficient to wait for the cooldown and go again.

BabyishDuck's solution (Solution for MW3 - Slaughterhouse In Call of Duty) is useful but I want to add a few more points. The Outlast contract (Satellite icon) is certainly the most efficient contract to grind out kills.
1. Pack-a-Punch (PaP) your RGL-80 Grenade Launcher ASAP.
Beyond the benefits of higher damage, the key benefit of PaP'ing your RGL-80 is that the grenades will immediately explode on impact. A non-PaP'd version needs some distance before a grenade explodes, which makes killing zombies more difficult (but by no means impossible.) You'll want PhD Flopper when using the RGL-80, PaP'd or not.
2. Combine Outlast contract with the Act 1 Story Mission "Extraction".
Assuming that you're starting the mission (or quickly obtaining) perks such as Jugger-Nog, Speed Cola, PhD Flopper and Stamin Up, and your weapon(s) of choice, you can get more use out of your perks and weapons by completing the Outlast contract then heading for the Act 1 Story mission Exfil - called "Extraction". Keep in mind you need to factor in time to get from the Outlast contract to the Exfil location and keep in mind where the Aether Storm is placed. In some games from where you are to where you need to be will be opposite ends of the map - you'll need at least 5 minutes to travel there by vehicle.
3. Use turret circuits in "Extraction".
Once you interact with Dr. Jensen (through a locked door) and you eventually make your way up to the helipad, there is a turret circuit on the north west corner that you can deposit turret circuits into - up to 4 at a time. Each circuit gets you 2 minutes of absolute killing power where you can basically sit there and do nothing if you wished.
There are at least 8 guaranteed drops of turrets, although you can sometimes find a few more which are placed randomly towards the north end of the map. I would recommend not spending too much time looking though - these 8 drops give you 16 minutes which is plenty - and you may waste more time looking for circuits which aren't there rather than killing zombies.
See map:
3a. You can place sentries at zombie spawn points too.
I found that at least in Extraction (but this should work for contracts in general), if you can identify where zombies are spawning, you can drop a sentry gun nearby and it will kill zombies for you too. This is handy in Extraction as zombies spawn points are often outside of the direct point of view of the bigger turret (the one you deposit circuits into). You can also just camp at the spawn point while the bigger turret does it work and keep killing zombies as they crawl out of the ground.
By doing both Outlast and Extraction - 90 to 120 minutes in all if you maximize the time - you're almost guaranteed to get 3000-4000 kills, especially with using turret circuits. While this may not be as much as other solutions are suggesting you can get (I was never able to get more than about 2100 kills in an Outpost contract myself), it is a consistent and reliable strat.
4. Bonus: level up weapons easily!
If you go to the Extraction mission and use the turret, while it's killing several zombies per second, the weapon in your hand is earning XP (assuming it isn't already at max level). I've max leveled several weapons doing this.
With the suggestions above and some practice and familiarity, you should be able to clear this in around 15-25 hours if you're starting from 0 kills. But to be realistic, if you're starting this game mode for the first time, you will need more time to grind though Act I's missions, obtain schematics, etc. Like many others, I had my progress wiped by the stats reset on December 7th 2023. It took me about 100 hours to get 45,000 kills the first time (although I was working on other achievements along the way), and 45 additional hours to get the required 50,000 kills after the stats reset.
Good luck, and good grinding!

Hi guys!
Finally got this shitshow of an achievement, here's how it worked best for me (I used a mix of the methods described above!):
short version:
- outlast (kills + chunks of meat)
- infected nests/strongholds (for turret circuit boards)
- tier 3 (pap level 3 and hellhound level 3 -> no necessary but useful)
- act 1 story mission (at least 9 circuit boards on map)
- leveling up weapon while doing this achievement
I played through all the acts, so I had most of the schematics, I usually tried to have some usefull perks as well as a crystal to pap my weapon to atleast level 1.
After spawning I went to the closest Outlast contract and farmed kills. Best way is to stand somewhere close to the zombies spawn and where they can get funnelled. I tried to get as many infested nests/strongholds on the way to the contract to get turret circuit boards, I also tried to get 3-4 chunks of meat during the kill farming.
Usually at aroung 15-20 min left I went for the tier 3 zone to pap my primary weapon to level 3 (although pap 1 should be enough for the story mission) and to use the chunks of meat to spawn a level 3 hellhound as my "reviver" just in case (easiest way to survive tier 3 is with moartar strike or strafing run equiped while running -> much faster than with a weapon).
After that I look for more circuit boards so I only have 2 free slots left in my backpack (best way is to roam around tier 3 zone looting chests or clearing infested nests/strongholds in any zone).
After I've got enough circuit boards I exfil to the act 1 story mission (be carefull, once the helicopter spawn is within the aether storm you can't call it in, at least that's what happened to me twice).
In act 1 story mission get the two circuit boards right at the start, after that progress until the helicopter sits on the helipad for exfil, put your first 4 boards into the deadbolt turret sitting next to the helipad (everyone gives you 2 minutes, so thats 8 minutes total, if you are fast you will reach this point with around 40 min left on the clock) and always fill your supply of circuit boards up. The hellhound is your "revive" so you don't need to bring any actual revives with you, but watch out, it can get stuck on zombies and get killed if not "rescued".
I had some instances where I was able to find 2-3 more circuit boards in the act 1 story mission (usually in chests/containers, one was just lying on the floor next to the room dr. jansen was in, another one was lying on the floor right next to the first one right at the start), but there always will be 9 in the same location (2 right at the start, 1 in the merc camp with the landmines on the top right of the map and 6 in and around the building with the helipad).
In some instances I also got the "shop" spawn close to the helipad so when the circuit boards ran out, I could buy automated turrets and use them instead.
I also used this method to level up many of my weapons, so the time wasn't completely wasted (one of the fastest methodsof leveling up in my opinion).
You will get the most kills staying on the helipad as long as possible, with the deadbolt turret filling up my aether ability, I could use it every few seconds and farm some more kills.
Altogether I was able to get 3.000 up to 4.500 kills per game.
After the time runs out the aether storm on the map will grow and you get another 15 min. I usually tried to keep farming until the storm reached the helipad and the zombies got buffed.
Also be carefull not to get on the helicopters ramp or else the missiom will end (you can jump on the tanks on the side of the helicopter without it ending the mission).
Like I said, I did a mixture of the methods already explained so I don't want to take any credit for the ideas others had, I just want to show you that this achievement can be done with some enjoyment and use and in a timely manner.
p.s.:
I got my points reset too with the season 1 update playing on Xbox Series X. I had 21% (ca. 10.500 kills) tracked on the achievement, but it popped at around 55.000 kills (so it only reset around 5.000 kills?).
After all I've read the reset is very inconsistent through all platforms, on playstation there also seems to be a difference between older and newer gen consoles. Altogether another sign that this game didn't have enough development...

You should be able to earn a lot of these while going for this achievement
However, you most likely won't get all 50,000 kills from this achievement alone. It appears that right now the best way to farm kills is to camp at an exfil location (preferably in the low threat zone, so you won't need to waste time upgrading your weapons). The exfil locations are marked on the map as a person walking through a door, and they spawn in about a minute or two after the match starts. Once they spawn, head over to one and call in the exfil helicopter and kill all the zombies that spawn in and let the helicopter leave. As soon as you can call the helicopter again, call it in and do the same thing until the timer runs out. Make sure to actually exfil the last time you do it, so you don't lose your weapons or have a cooldown on an insured weapon. You should be able to get at least 800-1,000 kills per match if you are the only person at the exfil.
Edit: Maka91 has pointed out that after completing Act 3 you should be able to get around 3,000 kills per match as you will have better gear that makes farming much faster.
To view how many kills you are currently at, go to the MWZ lobby → press → scroll down to the "STATS" tab → press → then press and it will show the amount of kills you have under time played. Both zombies and mercenaries count towards this achievement.

You should be able to easily grab 3,000 kills per match if you make sure to do this after completing Act III. You'll have access to lots of high tier weapons and upgrades that make farming significantly faster and easier.

It’s so bugged; lot of things like challenges won’t work or count. Like the Convoi thing. Did the convoi; killed all grabbed the card; but grabbing the card won’t count; do I have to use it then?

THIS WILL LIKELY BE PATCHED
This strategy is easy to do but involves using the item duplication glitch currently in the game. Spawn in and locate an easy contract and a vehicle. Complete the contract, and use the vehicle to go to a Tier 2 Buy Station in order to purchase a Sentry Gun. Take your Sentry Gun to an exfil point, and duplicate it. To duplicate a killstreak, equip the killstreak, open your loadout, place the killstreak and drop the item from your loadout/inventory at the same time to place one and create a duplicate. Repeat this to place as many sentries as you want. Call the exfil and let the sentries kill zombies; but helping with your gun will increase efficiency. After the exfil leaves, you'll have 60 seconds to place more sentry guns again. When the exfil point becomes active again, a wave of zombies will spawn. After that wave, call for exfil again and repeat this process to the end of the game. More and more zombies will spawn the later into the game you are. Hold out as long as you can in order to get up to 10,000 kills/hour. Don't do this in a squad and don't spawn more than 15 turrets at once or you will crash your game.
best way now, IMO only....Is to finish all of act1 including the end mission
after that's done, go back in and farm an outlast contract, keeping it at roughly 30-70% complete
when there's about 5 minutes left on the clock, go to the mission 1 exfil ( Shephard's exfil) and farm that for another 30 mins before getting on the exfil chopper
me and a mate did it and we were getting roughly 1700 kills each, if you are solo that should be well in excess of 2000 kills per match
any downvotes, please explain why
