The best odds of getting this achievement are by making a two person room. You do not have to play melee, and I advise against it unless you are really good.

Instead pick archery mode. Always be sure to scoop up the arrows before the other player. You will be guarenteed a win almost every time if the person you play against has never played this game mode.

If you cannot win this mode either, then try treasure hunt. Don't worry if the other person picks melee, because you still have a 50% chance at the game mode that you select.

EDIT: There is a new patch on the game that maybe will make the rammy method obsolete. As this new patch makes the animals stop attacking once your character dies. Will test soon and post update here. (August 28, 2011)

TEST Results: Finally somebody helped me test the solution, and so far, it still works, In case it doesn't work for you (because of repatch or anything) let me know and I'll retest. Or give some kind of help or insight.


The extra "win" Can also be obtained in the lava levels (you know the one with a rising column of fire). Same as above bring the oponent to a hair of health, then get the timing of the fire, finally stand in the spot where the fire rises, defeat the oponent with (Y) and get hit by the fire when it rises again. or jump hit the losing player with (Y) landing on the fire spot to get burned and the second victory. If the player who loses have rammy equiped almost 3 wins guaranteed. Found it easier than the cat method.

And speaking of guaranteed (the credit goes to Worhammer who tought me the method) Bring the losing player to a hair of health, wait for rammy to lock you on and begin the attack motion, then jump over it's charge and hit the oponent with (Y) (is better if you do it before you land, rammy won't hit when returning) starting the celebratory motion. Rammy then will lock the winner again and hit him for a second victory celebration and win. So far everytime I tried the method never failed. Remember to kill the oponent with (Y) and check/practice timings and you should get it on a breeze.

I, unknowingly did mix both methods (rising fire with jump over rammy and always got 3 wins. Realized it when I saw the jump over rammy method.

Small tip: If you're boosting, when creating the game, both (or the total of players boosting) select "hidden characters no" If both/all set the option to NO the better the chances of getting together.

So this is a very late guide. But now with backwards compatibility this is very easy if you have 2 xbox live profiles. You can play with one person on the Xbox 360 and one person on the Xbox 1. Just set up a game with 2 people maximum and put both of the profiles in the game (which isn't hard because no one is on the servers anymore). Pick your best character with the profile you want to win and the worst character with the profile you don't want to win with. Pick melee and win. To do this 40 times it takes 20 minutes to half an hour. Cheerio

First post is correct about the animation glitch, i only got a few wins using it cause it can be tricky to get the animal to hit you.

But anyway heres my solution, it is much easier to boost because many players are very good, but if you have to do it alone..

hold right trigger to activate magic and run close to your enemy and jump when your right next to him (touching) once you get the rythm down it will help you greatly. I like the green night for this but most characters work the same.

also grab the ram or some offenceive orb. some people use the dumbest animals while playing ranked.

use the golden sword if you bought it (dlc) or something good. I like the green night with green mase.

lastly there are people that are ranked 256.. they have glitched the game.. dont fear them.. their character isnt any stronger in ranked matches and most of the 256 glitchers are bad. truthfully most are bad.

Also if you managed to unlock the alien (you need to own the Alien Hominid game to unlock) he is best for the magic jump technique.

Alright guys .^_^. I noticed there is a little confusion with this achievement so I figured I would just give out some information that worked best for a friend and I that just got the achievement the other day.

First off, we both started at 0 and alternated wins. We noticed, depending on the game type, it took us about 15 minutes to do 10 matches. If you don't want to do the math, that's about 80 games in 2 hours. Mind you, we rarely had randoms join so add in time per random you have trouble with.

Secondly, we tried each game type and personally found melee to be the quickest of them all. We could join up, start the game, end the game, and join back up again in a little less than 2 minutes.

So for those going for this achievement, here's the setup that we used. Of course you are more than welcome to change the settings if you are playing with more than 2 people. Go ahead and create a RANKED ARENA match. The settings we chose were max 2 people and the hidden characters didn't matter if that was on or off. If you have a random that you just can't get rid of, you'll probably have to make a match with 3 slots and just gang up on him then choose who wins. We only had to do that once.

Once you're in the game, you both start out in the middle so just decide who is going first and alternate beating the living daylights out of the other person It seemed just slightly faster to have the other run into the cats' paw if you have them on the level you are playing as well as using your magic. So be sure to use RT & Y or RT & X.

On a different note, when choosing your characters, unless you have a character that is maybe level 30+ the damage done with a level 1 vs. a level 11 is only 2 points different. So it's not that big of a deal which one you use.

This is just the method that we used and like I said in the beginning of the solution, we got this done in about 2 or 2 1/2 hours max. We worked on it on 2 different occasions. Also, the day that we first tried this the glitch did not work so I can confirm the patch fixed this.
