How to unlock the Untouchable achievement in Castle of no Escape 2 - Definitive Guide

If, like me, you missed out on the easy version of these achievements, this is how I managed to not get hit.

Start with the code:
cn_upcn_downcn_backcn_backcn_backcn_backcn_rightcn_leftcn_downcn_leftcn_upcn_upcn_left

This will start you as the bandit (thanks to negiis for his code which provided a convenient seed). The boss room will conveniently be two rooms south from your spawn.

I chose the bandit here, since as noted by Brave Tenuki, they are fast enough to dodge the attacks without grinding for speed first, and have the handy dodge move. This means you can get straight into the boss fight, rather than having to waste 5 minutes buffing your character each time. Fair warning, this will probably take dozens of attempts. It should be fairly clear early on whether you will be able to do it eventually. If you can complete each section individually without getting hit, it just a matter of waiting for the RNG to be kind to you so you can string it all together.

Bandit Moves:
cn_A this will create a swirling attack area in front of you, once you hit the button you can move and it will stay there for a second, getting several hits.
cn_B this will dodge about 75% of the way across the room, doing what looks like a standard attack at the end.

1) The first phase I found the hardest to dodge Nikolai. What I found worked best was to hit him once, then immediately run to the W. Once you get to the wall, you want to use the dodge move N, then almost immediately after, use it again to the E. Ideally you should end up with Nikolai in the NW corner headed slowly towards you. Now run to the S wall pause a moment and once you get there start to head W. If everything works out well, he should warp down right behind you as you head W. Once he does that, turn around, and attack him (but don't get too close), you will usually not need to move back E any significant distance, just turn around. As soon as you do, head N, and then E once you hit the top wall. Again, he should come up right behind you, so turn around, hit him once, and repeat. Continue going around in a square, hitting him right after he warps. After 4-5 hits he should "die". During this stage be careful not to accidentally go through a door as that will reset his health (and some of the doors have traps right on the other side).

To get to the next phase walk through the doors a few times until the screen starts shaking (but be careful as I sometimes had a random bull guy show up).

2A) The walls will change to fire (they don't hurt you) and Nikolai will be back. His behavior will be basically the same, but a bit slower, than the first time. Also, your attack will now stun him more effectively. I would generally hit him twice, then dodge around him to the W, and circle the room clockwise. Every time he warps after you, you should be able to get in 3 hits, then go back to running counterclockwise. If you end up in a bad position where you can't get away by running, use your dodge move (but try to conserve a few). After 15-20 seconds he will disappear and faces will start shooting fireballs out of the wall. (When you turn to hit him, try to do it in a corner, as a face could easily hit you if it changes while you are in the middle of a wall.

2B) This is the trickiest and most random part of this fight. There will usually be one corner that doesn't have any faces in it, this is where you want to be, as the fireballs will almost never come over there. Unfortunately, the faces move, you have two options. Run to the opposite (and now face free) corner anytime one starts moving your way. They tend to shoot a lot less fireballs while moving. You can also use your dodge move to safely cross to the now clear corner. You have a limited number of them of course. After 15-20 seconds of this, the demon will be back, he will spawn near the central square, so for safety's sake try not to be too far from the edges so he doesn't spawn on top of you.

After you knock out enough of his health (the blue bar and most of the orange one), he will steal your sword. During this animation you can get some free hits on him, but once he turns blue you are into phase 3, and enough further damage will cause him to respawn in the middle.

3A) This is the most predictable phase of the fight. Your best place to be is on the right side, at about 2 o'clock. After taking enough damage he will start flashing and teleport to the central square. You can keep hitting him for a bit here. Once he starts to spiral out, head into the central square again briefly to avoid him. You can often get in an additional hit by attacking to the E from the central square. Don't stay too long though, as he will respawn in the center once he is done spiraling. Head back to that 2 o'clock position and start attacking again. After doing this for a bit, the faces will be back, badder than ever.

3B) This is basically the same as 2B, but they will fire more often and move more quickly. Feel free to use those dodges you have stored up to stay safe, since you shouldn't need them for 3A and you are almost at the end. Unfortunately, bad luck can easily cost you a run here, so keep trying.

Assuming you are doing a decent amount of damage during 3A you will probably have two sections of 3B before you finish him off and hopefully get the achievement.

There is no south option from the spawn point using this ritual code, at least not now.

Yup with this code you spawn in another floor and different rooms. I hope there is a new solution

The ritual code isn’t going to put the boss room in the exact location as these guides every single time. Sometimes they’ll match up, sometimes they will not. You have to do the searching yourself, but with most of these codes you can find the room fairly quickly or the teleport to the boss room at least.

Use o código cima, baixo, selecione, selecione, selecione, selecione, esquerda, direita, baixo, esquerda, cima, cima, esquerda.

Depois vá para norte até achar o portal e enfrentar o boss.

As vezes o portal pode variar de lugar, podendo estar na sala a esquerda

So this is the ritual code I used: cn_upcn_downcn_backcn_backcn_backcn_backcn_rightcn_backcn_Acn_upcn_Bcn_upcn_B

(NOTE) These farming methods can apply across the board to every character

For some reason people don't mention about upgrading your armor in any of the solutions. I personally used the bandit and farmed 8 orange upgrade points off the golden bull with red eyes who follows you from room to room. I enter a room and find him, then immediately leave. He will always follow you into whatever new room you enter. Kill him collect the coins and orange upgrade points then proceed to rinse and repeat until you get 8 orange points.
-NOTES: (If you are having trouble getting the bull to drop orange points use the slot machine with your coins to drop some.)
- (Watch out for enemies that will randomly spawn in the room from time to time while going back and forth.)

I use these 8 points to upgrade my speed and skill at the hammer/iron station. I also wait for the green skill bubbles to fully regenerate before I use the orange teleporter to teleport to boss room. The cn_A button will be your best attack from front and your cn_B dash button easier to avoid the boss quickly and same with avoiding fireballs. You are invincible during your dash.

I don't have a specific strategy for the boss per say. For me it's just practicing the battle and learning his moves and timing the fireballs right. I found a video below from a fellow TA user Ghost of Gera. Definitely give him credit for showcasing a video based on what I've been trying to practice doing.

This is, by far, the hardest achievement in the game, and the one that is going to make or break the completion for most people. As the description says, you need to complete the game with taking any damage. It's important to note that this also means you can't get hit. So even if you have a shield or have armor, getting hit at all still voids this achievement.

It's also important to note that this achievement requires a good amount of skill but also some luck with the fireballs in the boss fight. I will go through my strategy, but don't expect to succeed first try. This achievement will take some practice and some luck for everything to come together.

While you can theoretically do this as any character, I highly recommend using the Bandit (use the Ritual in Bits and bites (50G) to start at the end of a Bandit playthrough). The Bandit's main attack is strong and knocks back the boss, making it easy to stay away, but the Bandit can also use button-b.png to dash. This is invaluable for avoiding the boss's dashes during the first and second phase. Your regular attack with button-a.png can also be placed on the ground, allowing the boss to run into it so you can kind of keep your distance and don't risk getting hit.

So after entering the Ritual in the reference above and starting as the Bandit, you'll need to beeline right to the boss fight to ensure you don't get hit by any enemies. There is a luck factor here in finding the orange glimmer quickly, but it should be pretty simple to do.

The first phase of the boss fight is relatively simple. You're going to start off by hitting the boss once with button-a.png, then running away and using button-b.png to dash if need be to avoid his dash. After that dash, you can get in two hits with button-a.png between every dash before you retreat to avoid the dash. I found it unnecessary to time a button-b.png dash perfectly to avoid the boss dash every time. Instead, I would hit the boss twice, and if the boss was in a bad spot, such as the center of the room, I would lure him to a corner and then dash away to put distance between us. This gave enough room to simply walk out of the way of the dash, rather than needing to dash perfectly. So don't feel the need to time your dashes perfectly to avoid the boss dash. Instead, you can use your dash to ideally go to the opposite corner of the room from the boss, giving you plenty of time to move out of the way. It should only take three or four dashes for you to finish the first phase of the boss fight.

The second phase is identical to the first in terms of strategy, so repeat exactly what you did. Your main worry here is going to be the fireball phases, since the fireballs are completely random. The trickiest part is making sure that when the boss disappears and the fireballs start, you're not near the edge of the room or you risk getting hit by a fireball before you even have time to move. Then, when the fireballs end, the boss with reappear in the center of the room, so you'll need to make sure you're standing against the edge of the room somewhere so he doesn't touch you. The second phase ends when he pulls the sword from your inventory and merges with it. Make sure you stand there hitting him over and over while the sword is coming to him, since he can't hit you.

The third phase is far simpler than the first two since the boss doesn't dash anymore. He just slowly moves towards you, but your button-a.png attack knocks him back, so you don't even need to move around much. After a few seconds he'll turn blue and move to the center of the room. You can still hit him when he's blue, so you can "drop" your button-a.png attack on the ground in his spiral path so he runs into it and takes damage.

NOTE: One important thing I struggled with was, after the boss turns blue and spirals around the room and then blasts back into the center of the room, sometimes I would take damage when he reappeared in the center for no apparent reason. This seemed to happen whenever I was standing in the bottom half of the room. I switched to always waiting in the upper left corner for him to reappear and never ended up taking random damage in that corner.

In the third phase, all you really need to worry about are those fireball phases, since they get faster and more intense. Some luck will be involved in dodging the fireballs, but what you can do is to damage the boss as much and as fast as possible, because the fireball phases happen after a set amount of time, not after a set amount of damage. So the quick you kill him, the less fireball phases you have to deal with.

As I said initially, this achievement will take some practice and some luck. I've done my best to explain in text the strategy I used to succeed. Since it's easier to watch a video sometimes, refer to the following video, courtesy of Sangriaz from The Hidden Levels. His Bandit run at 28:15 is damage-less. He uses essentially the exact same strategy I described above.
