How to unlock the In Search of Bananas achievement in Darkstalkers Resurrection - Definitive Guide

This Trophy will unlock once you cleared all 5 Challenges for Sasquatch in Night Warriors.

Trophy difficulty on 10: ???????

This fluffy looking bear might look innocent, but he's actually one of the stronger Darkstalkers characters if used properly. His overhead dashing and throws are a great asset for setting up damaging combos.

His challenges will teach you some of those, and have a pretty easy to moderate difficulty challenges, excluding challenge 5, which is on a higher difficulty level.

If you are unsure about a specific challenge regarding timing, position or anything else, remember you can watch the demo any time (by hitting and choosing 'exit', which will bring you back to the trial menu for the given character). All challenges below are described with the default buttons, unless specified otherwise but you can remap some buttons to your own linking for ease of execution.

Chapter 1: Strong Links
Difficulty rating: ???

This challenge is all about connecting links. There is a difference between chain combo's and links, where the first one requests a fast input and the last one a strict timing (you can't just button mash, unless being lucky hitting the correct frame). Refer here for more information about links or p-linking. Keep in mind while p-linking that the commands are reversed compared to Street Fighter 4. In Darkstalkers, the lightest strength button gets priority over the harder ones, compared to SF4 where hard gets priority over low.

Start with a crouching strong (+), link another crouching strong (+) and finish with a linked standing strong ().

Chapter 2: Air ES Cyclone Juggle
Difficulty rating: ??

Sasquatch's easiest challenge.
Space yourself a bit from Donovan and jump up to him (), inputting an ES Jumping Big Cyclone (+). Make sure your ES jumping Big Cyclone only hit once and, once you touch the ground, immediately input a ES Big Typhoon (+) to juggle Donovan with it, and therefore completing this challenge.

Chapter 3: Combo into Air ES Cyclone
Difficulty rating: ?????

The key for this combo is using your dash at the proper distance, making sure you hit high (but not too high or else you will cross up with your second hit) and link jab to strong, canceling that last one into an ES jumping Cyclone).

For ease of execution, you can remap all 3 kicks to . Space yourself from J.Talbain at the same distance as shown in the demo (or slightly further), and start your combo with a dashing jab (,+), link a jumping strong (), and cancel that last one immediately into an ES jumping Big Cyclone (+); finish the combo with a linked standing strong ().

Chapter 4: Unguardable Reset
Difficulty rating: ???

Another rather easy challenge!
Again you can remap all 3 kicks to for ease of execution.
Make sure to start your combo mid screen or anywhere near mid-screen since cornering Rikuo will make you miss the Big Ice Burn!

Start with an ES Jumping Big Cyclone (,+). Once landed from your Big Cyclone, juggle Rikuo with a linked standing strong () and once it hits, cancel it immediately into a Big Ice Burn (+).

Chapter 5: Dash Loop
Difficulty rating: ???????

Sasquatch's hardest challenge by far! To make this trial slightly easier, remap roundhouse to . The hardest part is linking the first dash loop into the second one. You can do this combo mid-screen or in a corner, tough mid-screen is advised.

Build up your combo slowly, by making sure you master the first dash loop. The link for the dashing Short into dashing jab is pretty fast, so you can input those right after another. The linked roundhouse will come out with a slight delay after the jab so make sure Sasquatch is high once the first 2 hits connect (the roundhouse has a longer frame animation, hitting twice, that's why it has to come out high during the dash).

Once you got the first dash loop mastered, you can try to combo it into another dash loop but the dash part for the second dash loop will have to come out very fast since the combo resets easily once Sasquatch hits the ground.

Start the combo with a dashing short, to jumping jab (,+, ), and link the roundhouse while buffering the second dash (, ,). If timed correctly, you should be dashing again right after your jumping roundhouse connected, and you can finish the combo with another short, jab, roundhouse (, , ).

It will take patience and a lots of tries but should eventually come out.
