How to unlock the Legendary-Team achievement in Deep Rock Galactic - Definitive Guide
Listen up, miners. I've got some good info that management doesn't want you guys to know about.
This achievement is for achieving a gold promotion for every dwarf. That's 7 promotions per dwarf. Assuming you don't play any dwarf past their first gold promotion, you'll be at around profile rank 230. I stumbled onto a way towards the end of my time with this game to make this grind a little less painful. This method is based on the assumption that you want the achievement as quickly as possible (I really only did this for classes I didn't like), so use it as much as you feel necessary:
The method:
-Perhaps the fastest method you can use (it's basically the worst kept secret in this game's community), is joining games that are late in progress. Going to the mission table you can open up the server list, and then click "time" at the top of the list twice, showing you the games that have been going on for the longest. This means you'll be entering games where players are either almost done, or are already running to the drop pod. What makes this great is you get the same amount of XP, money, and materials as the players who have done the mission for 35-40 minutes, but you're doing them in 5-10 minutes. It took me roughly 180 hours doing this (my total play time was 220 hours, so I had played for 40 hours before doing this), so legit play would probably take you closer to 500 hours to get this achievement.
Extra tips regarding this method:
-Since you're getting such quick XP, difficulties usually don't matter, but randoms have a lot of trouble with anything above Hazard 3. Just join the highest times on the chart on whatever difficulties you're personally comfortable with, but 3 is probably the most balanced difficulty. Also when double XP missions are up, try to snipe as many of those matches in progress as you can. Spending 5-10 minutes in matches and getting 15-30k XP is a huge time saver.
-Even though you're joining late matches, try to help out as best you can. If they hadn't done secondary objectives, I almost always went for those (except for ebonuts, screw those) while the other players were doing the primary objective. Doing secondary objectives always gets you half of your primary objective's XP, so it really adds up doing them.
-Even though it's a little devious, if you join a game and they're done with primary and secondary objectives and are just BS'ing running around looking for gold, hit the drop pod button. With what you're doing, gold and materials are worth nothing. I've found with this game that everyone is assuming everyone else wants to stay in, but that's not really the case. I never had anyone angrily message me for calling the drop pod, so I wouldn't feel bad doing it. The longer you stay in, the better chance you have to wipe, especially on higher difficulties.
-Another good time saver is when the drop pod comes down, go straight for the drop pod, and DO NOT go back to pick up people who get downed. All that does is waste time, and players who do not make it still get the same rewards as those who survived. The only thing you're missing out on is a tiny bit of money, but you'll have way more than you need with this method. Sometimes I'd have one guy who sits at the drop pod and just shoots bugs. Shoot them. Either they'll get into the pod with you and your team or you'll down them and the pod will take off. Stuff like this saves precious time in the long run, especially when you're trying to snipe double XP missions.
Good luck miners, and Rock and Stone!

7 promotions per Dwarf? Isn't it bronce, silver and gold?

Each tier has up to 3 stars. You need to reach Gold 1.

The other guide is amazing, I just wanted to add a little note when joining someone else's game and hitting the drop pod button: once the drop pod has been called, the host CAN NOT KICK YOU OUT. This is likely to prevent griefing but greatly works out in your favor as at most you'll probably get angry messages in the chat (and very rarely the host will be petty enough to aborr the mission).
Also to add onto Fooga's guide, you'll be level 234 by the time you've gotten everyone promoted to Gold 1 (provided you don't level them beyond level 1 once you've promoted them to Gold).

This achievement is quite easy, but takes a lot of time (upwards of 300 - 400 hours).
Simply play each class enough to get them to Gold 1, which will require 7 promotions.
I personally alternate each time - max one class, then get their promotion assignment while playing as another, max that one, etc.
It's good to avoid playing a maxed out class if you're going for this achievement, as wasting XP makes the whole process slower.
It's also good to prioritize double XP and double warning missions (there will always be 1 double warning mission per mission cycle) and play on a higher difficulty (hazard 4 or 5), that way you can get more XP per mission.

Good tips! One thing I don't agree with though, is the higher hazard levels you mention.
Yes, it gives you more XP per mission, given that you succeed the mission. And that's just it: there are quite a few factors that can influence success rate.
To name a few: Mob spawn RNG, Nitra availability RNG, Machine Events, Mob type spawns, map complexity RNG, map length RNG, map biome generation...
It is only untill you set foot on soil, when you start to find out if the RNG gods favor you.
If you are trying to get this achievement (especially since it's a time grind), you'll want to balance the odds. In my experience, Hazard 3 has the most balanced XP per time invested on most maps (RNG still plays a role, obviously).
Let me elaborate with an example:
Map with 3 cave length and 3 complexity:
In my experience, I play around 20-25 min per haz3 map, and around 30-40 mins per Haz5 map. In my matches, I barely focus on secondary objectives, so I almost never get the full 175% (or 233%) objectives XP. But given this theoretical data:
These are avarages, of course. The wiki clearly states differences in XP gain per mission type. But on the long run I think you'll benefit more.
TL;DR:
In less time, you'll get more XP by doing 3 Haz3 maps vs. 2 Haz5 maps .

Let me elaborate with an example:
Map with 3 cave length and 3 complexity:
Haz3: 175% + 20% + 20% = 215% XP on mission success
Haz5: 233% + 20% + 20% = 273% XP on mission success
Dividing those two numbers gives a ratio: Haz5: 233% + 20% + 20% = 273% XP on mission success
215/273 = 0,78
This means XP wise: if one Haz5 map would be 100%, then only one Haz3 map would be 78%.In my experience, I play around 20-25 min per haz3 map, and around 30-40 mins per Haz5 map. In my matches, I barely focus on secondary objectives, so I almost never get the full 175% (or 233%) objectives XP. But given this theoretical data:
Haz3 (3 maps): 1h - 1h15m to complete -> gives 3x 78% = ~236%,
Haz5 (2 maps): 1h - 1h20m to complete -> gives 2x 100% = 200%
Sidenote on these numbers: Haz5 (2 maps): 1h - 1h20m to complete -> gives 2x 100% = 200%
These are avarages, of course. The wiki clearly states differences in XP gain per mission type. But on the long run I think you'll benefit more.
