How to unlock the Do 12 damage with thrown dice achievement in Dicey Dungeons - Definitive Guide

The witch has an ability to throw dice. Each thrown dice does 1 damage. If a dice is burning, it does 2 damage.

So, the main tactic is to get as much dice as possible.

The Witch starts with an ability called Crystal Ball, which gives you 3 more dice for that turn.

What I did was look for this card...

Every time you use this card, you get +1 dice this fight.

Every time you level up, you are offered a prepared spell slot, an upgraded spell slot, or sometimes an extra dice. In this instance, extra dice would help most.

STRATEGY

* You start with 3 dice
* Your Crystal Ball special gives you 3 extra dice
* You need to earn 6 more dice during a fight and then throw all 12 for your achievement.

Other useful spells:

Duplicate[min 4]: Duplicate a dice
If you put a dice in, you get 2 out. If you have 2 hall of mirrors out, you can get 2 dice in a round.

Fury Spell+ [even]: Repeat next action
Do this before Hall of Mirrors or other dice creating spells and you get an extra dice that turn.

Small advice: just popped it with an easier layout.
I had Hall of mirror on my upgraded spell spot and a shield spell on another spell spot. I gave myself lot of shield and added 1/2 dices per turn... Only need "Hall of Mirror" and any spell, giving you shield. Popped it on Floor 3, where enemies dont deal that much damage yet.

I did this achievement along with many others and non of them popped. Waited more than 72 hours , deleted profile and redownloaded. Not working . I unistall game .

Bonus Round with Witch
Used Daffodil(for mana), Mirror Cauldron and Magnifying Glass(Put a 3 dice in with mana get a 6 and a 3 dice)

I also had Hot head which lights 6 dice on fire. Using magnify glass you can get 6's to put on mirror cauldron easier with 3 dices or if you have mana, 2 dice. Then as well with magnifying glass you get 2 dice back if you use a 3 with mana

So with this strat you need 5 dice minimum using Mirror cauldron to get to 4 dice
Use Daffodil to get mana then Magnifying glass with hot head and limit break
5 Dice Mag glass for eight dice using 3s and two will have hot head so 10 damage and limit break for +3 dice

If you get lucky enough you could always do it with 4 dice as well if you roll atleast three 3s and have enough mana for 3 prepared mag glasses, plus other ways with luck by rolling 6s and 3s and etc.

When playing as the Witch, you can throw unused dice at enemies with RT for 1 damage. A burning die does 2 damage to normal enemies, but if you're against an enemy that is weak to fire (Wickerman, any of the snow/ice enemies, etc) you will get 4 damage per burning throw. This is the sweet spot, since you only need to throw 3 burning dice in this case to get the achievement. I was able to get it during my bonus round - where each level of the dungeon adds a new "rule" to alter gameplay. There's a rule where anytime a 6 is rolled it will automatically burn, so all I had to do was get lucky enough to roll a few sixes against the Wickerman. You can either use the Crystal Ball power once it's filled up (rolls extra dice) or any "do x damage then reroll the dice" spell cards you may have to increase your chances of having three burning 6s to throw in a single turn. There is also a rule that starts you off with one burning die per turn, which you could combine with Wickerman's Wicker Staff attack (burns two of your dice) to end up with three burning dice. Or, of course, if you only have two burning dice but at least 4 regular dice to throw as well, that'll get you there as well. MATH.

This feels a bit easier than trying to stack up 12 dice. Aurora will also burn your dice (assuming Aurora starts in that "season") which makes this more manageable.

Witch-specific Achievement

The Witch has a mechanic where she can throw unused dice with rt.png to do 1 damage, or 2 damage if the dice is Burning. Or, if the dice is Burning and the enemy is weak to fire, it'll do 4 damage. Worst case, you need to amass 12 dice on your turn, which isn't as bad as it sounds. Your Focus will give you three extra dice, so you actually only need nine dice. 

This is basically impossible without Hall of Mirrors, but thankfully it seems to be practically guaranteed to drop. I found it during Round 1 every time, relatively early on at a shop or chest. Ideally, when you level up, choose to have an upgrade slot. Putting Hall of Mirrors there means you only need an even dice to activate it, rather than a 6, making it way easier to use. If you can, put two Hall of Mirrors on the board so you can use both. I also found Magic Key every time, which splits your dice. So, you'll want to activate Hall of Mirrors a few times until you have eight dice, then use Magic Key if you have it to split a dice in half, then use your Focus to add another three dice, then throw them all at the enemy. 

It should go without saying, but don't attack the enemy while doing all this. Just end your turn. This ensures the enemy has enough health to throw 12 dice at it without killing it in the process.
