How to unlock the Flesh and Steel achievement in Dishonored 2 - Definitive Guide

There will come a choice pretty early on in the game where you will be speaking to the Outsider and he will offer you his mark. For this achievement, you must refuse his mark, which will mean you cannot use any powers through the whole game. You cannot choose to accept his mark, and then simply not use the powers; you MUST refuse the mark and complete the game.

While you can theoretically complete this achievement in a high or a low chaos playthrough, I would personally recommend you beat this achievement on your second run through of the game, and on a high chaos run. The reason being is that I would use your first playthrough to collect all the collectibles and beat the game without killing or being spotted, as this is significantly easier with powers. Then you can complete your second PT, not worrying about stealth or collectibles, allowing you to unlock the High chaos/No powers achievements in a single run. (You should also use a different character on your second PT to get that respective achievement for playing as either Corvo or Emily).

I would also recommend playing this on easier difficulties, as otherwise it's just unnecessary difficulty and complications being added.

You can still use bonecharms, though you will obviously not be able to craft them as that ability is an Outsider power. Also, any runes you collect will automatically be turned into coin upon their collection.

Don't accept the mark from the Outsider. You will lose access to the Powers tab, so no powers or skill upgrades are available. This is better done on a run where you can kill, you will be much more dependent on weapons with no powers.

This achievement is missable should you choose to accept The Outsider's gift/mark during the dream sequence before Mission 2, Edge of the World.

It's without a doubt that this is the hardest achievement in the game given players cannot rely on the advantageous traversal power of Blink/Far Reach to sneak around the missions more stealthily. Truthfully, this is the only power that is a shame to not have. While Dark Vision is helpful for situational awareness, Mesmerize and Doppelgänger for distractions, and Possession or Domino for ease of bypassing enemy-occupied territory, there are plenty of base solutions that can replace these powers. All you'll really need during a "No Powers" playthrough is the crossbow, sleeping bolts, regular bolts, glass bottles, and your hands.

As the roadmap suggests, this "No Powers" run should also focus on stacking "Ghost" and "Clean Hands." These two achievements essentially encourage avoiding enemy contact unless absolutely necessary, meaning players won't really need powers to deal with hostiles. There are always multiple paths that lead to an objective; explore, move slowly, and keep your eyes peeled. More often than not, you will be able to reach your objective undetected and unscathed in the same manner you would have had you possessed The Outsider's gift.

Additionally, the non-lethal methods in taking down mission targets are rather simplified and never truly benefit from having powers, again proving that supernatural gift is more of a bonus than a necessity. As previously mentioned, sleeping darts will be your go-to for dealing with enemies at a distance, while glass bottles and regular crossbow bolts act as distractions to lure enemies away from their posts. It'll take a great amount patience and exploration to get through each mission without powers, especially if you're stacking this with no detections and no kills, but by the time you've returned to the throne room in Dunwall Tower, you will find supernatural powers were never really necessary to complete your objectives.

Naturally, please refer to both "Ghost" and "Clean Hands" for additional tips where needed. After dealing with Delilah at the end of Mission 9, Death to the Empress, and saving Corvo/Emily, this achievement will unlock.

Please note that you will not be able to take the following trophies during this walkthrough, since magic is required to obtain them. Leave them to the passage with magic.

Brave Leap
Silence
Occult carver
Deadly trajectory
Gyre

IT IS POSSIBLE to collect all the souvenirs and paintings in one playthrough with a wound without magic. All seats are accessible via canopy jumps. The only place where it was difficult was the apartment opposite the station in the lower quarter in mission 4. In a normal playthrough, you get there from the roof, but you can’t get to the roof without a teleporter. My solution to this problem is to simply blow up the door with a grenade. Merchants also have an armor-piercing pistol upgrade, after which the pistol is able to take out doors that say they are fragile (and this is most of the doors in the game). If you are a complete purist and you have neither money nor a grenade, at the station you can pick up a tank with theft and throw it at this door.
It’s strange, but everyone says that this picture is unattainable without magic. You just need to be smarter and everything will work out.

This trophy can be combined with “no kills” and “no detections”. In this mode, the game is especially enjoyable. Since the game forces you to look for workarounds, loopholes, patrol routes, etc.. In any case, you need to go through the game twice. Collectible trophies can be left for the second run.
