How to unlock the Not Expected achievement in DJMAX RESPECT V - Definitive Guide
Starlight Guitar is the last mission in the V Extension pack, the songs are
Glory Day 4B SC (4 Stars)
Boom! 5B Maximum (12 Stars)
Dream It 6B MX (10 Stars)
The mission requires you to get a score of 1,035,000 (An average of 345k per song), 5x Fever, 7000 Combo and 98% Rate. This mission requires a lot of good precision in 6b and especially 5b, as Boom! is the hardest chart here.
This mission has the Random Note modifier, meaning all the notes will be in different places and every restart will cause this to cycle. This can make this mission a lot harder than it needs to be, thanks to the constant long notes in Dream It and the solo at the end of Boom!. Glory Day isn't too bad, it can feel a bit cramped but a 4 Star SC honestly isn't too bad.
You cannot obtain 7000 combo in any of the songs, even coming in with a full fever bar in Dream It and Boom, meaning you'll have to Max Combo(MC) at least one of these songs and get the rest of the combo from the next song. My plan for this was to simply MC Glory Day with good accuracy as this will give you 6k, keep the fever gauge full going into Boom and grab the last 1000 from there. This can prove difficult as the double note section near the start of Boom is really difficult with the random notes, a lot of restarts happened here.
Accuracy is the biggest hurdle in this mission, I recommend getting out of Glory Day with 99%+ rate, and then getting out of boom with at least 97.8%+. then get the rest from Dream It. I found Boom to be the hardest song out of the three here, so I tried my best to do as well as I can on Boom so there's not too much carrying going on in Dream It. Dream It is pretty difficult depending on random notes, the long notes can be placed in awkward spots. If the start of dream it isn't going well just restart immediately and cycle the notes.
So, the gameplan should be to leave Glory Day with MC at 99%+, which'll give you 6k combo. Get into Boom! and grab the last 1k, whilst trying to maintain as much accuracy as possible for Dream It. Get into Dream It and restart until the long notes at the start are playing nice.
I finished this mission with 10 breaks, 1,056,568 Score, 9892 Combo and 98.23% rate following these rules. I came out of Boom! with 97.90% Accuracy, meaning I gained .33 more from Dream It, so it's entirely possible to have more wiggle room with Boom!
There's not too much point in linking a video for this mission, as random notes will make every playthrough different.
Good luck with this one, you need real good prowess in 5b and 6b for this. You can do it!
