How to unlock the A Secret Stitched Together achievement in Dragon Age: Origins - Definitive Guide

Just incase people are wondering what these Auras are, they simply refer to the switches (and therefore color of the environment) that are needed to reach and open the chests. You do NOT require the lockpicking skill.

(Blue & Normal Aura) Group Heal - After activating the lyrium well (or cube), head out into the room you came from. Instead of going up the stairs, go north to a room with a bunch of skeletons. Return to the switch and deactivate it, then return to that room.

(Blue Aura) Stat Boost - After recruiting Brogan, continue Eastward till you get to a large room with 2 Twisted Sentinels and a Warped Watcher. Kill them and then open the center chest near the Watcher.

(Blue Aura) Flaming Weapons - Same room as the previous, in the Northwestern corner of the room, behind a broken wall with pillars.

(Purple & Green Auras) Tempest & Revival - After activating the purple switch, head to Darions first journal (just a bit past where Brogan was), there will be a door on the Northern wall, go in (you might wish to save). Use the switch in the room ahead, go towards the green switch and fight the Sentinels, once you finish, activate the green switch and open the chests.

(Red Aura) Stat Boost - After activating the red switch, continue till you reach the forge. Once you do, turn right and head North to a staircase leading up to a cave in.

I'm not sure, I wish that didn't happen as I have badass armor and badass weapons but they get replaced with generics. I know some carry over though as I start with my level 29 Human, might depend on what other DLC you have, I have the expansion so that might be way.

On the Ultimate Collection, I'm keeping almost all of my equipment, xp, whatever. The only things I'm not keeping are from Warden's Keep and Stone Prisoner. For some reason, I am keeping my stuff from Return to Ostagar. I'm not sure what the criteria are for equipment to transfer over into other DLC but those are what I've found do NOT transfer.

Why first activate the switch, travel to the chest, then go back to the switch before you open it? Can't you go there immediately?

Which one are you referring to? The first? If I remember correctly, something prevents you from opening it while the switch is active.

Yes I was referring to the first one. Thank you for the explanation.

If you're having trouble with the golems at the green switch, use the green switch to switch back to 'non-green', it also makes the golems disappear. They're aren't really gone, just in the non-green dimension.
What I did, was kill one golem, use the green switch. Get my team revived, which will happen automaticalyy because there are no golems now, and then switch back to kill another one. Rinse and repeat :).

Can't use the switch again in the golem room when they attack, it just disappeared and can't be used during the fight.

duplication isnt really cheating. i think its the glitch before the patch I dont know how to do it but a friend of mine has done it. if its doable within the confines of the game I dont see why it matters

If you want a chance against The Harvester, find these. They'll upgrade your golem. You'll have to do a fair amount of backtracking to get all six, but they're all either in plain sight or just off the main path. There are four types, Healing, Mechanics, Fire, and Lightning. Fire and Lightning give extra attacks to your golem. Healing allows it to heal your squad. Mechanics toughens up your golem. Find them all. They'll help out a ton.

Each note also requires a different lyrium switch to be flipped. Each switch corresponds to a different color (blue, purple, white, green, and red). Each color allows you to access doors or chests that are encased in the mist of the same color. The locations of each note can be found in this thread. Credit goes to Method for the list.

  • After entering Amgarrak, there will be a room where you’ll be attacked by golems. On one end of the room, there are three chests that have a blue mist around them. You have to hit the switch to change the flow of lyrium to get to them. Backtrack and open the center chest for the first research note, Mechanics.
  • On the opposite side of the same room is the next one. Head back for the blue lyrium switch, but go to the right near a purple flame. Inside this little alcove will be the next note, Fire.
  • After activating the purple switch, go back to a door that was surrounded by purple fog. Go in and you’ll see a few golems with chests behind them. All of the chests are glowing green. Flip the switch on one side to return everything to normal and then flip the switch on the other side to get to the green chests. After returning things to normal, be prepared for a nasty fight with six or seven golems. With the exit from the room on your right, the first chest on the right has the third note, Lightning. The second chest on the left has the fourth, Healing.
  • Near the first blue lyrium switch will be a room that is just off the main path. There will be two treasure chests at the end and golems lining both walls. The chest on the left is what you want, but you’ll have to go back to the normal world. Once you do, fight off the golems and get the fifth note, Healing.
  • After breaking through the red mist , go down the stairs into the forge and take the first right. In the alcove will be a chest with the sixth and final note, Mechanics.

Open all chests. The achievement must be given in front of the boss; you will pick up the last list in front of him. Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqwR1URtJqg .

Scattered throughout Amgarrak are records of tests being carried out on golems.

Each time you find such an entry, your golem will gain a new ability.

Entries are easy to find if you run around the locations with the LT button held down.

Press the button and inspect the location, if we see something, we approach and study.

Since the Golem is of little use in battle, I advise you to pump up his magic and mana so that he can heal the team with the “Group Healing” spell.
