How to unlock the House Arrest achievement in F.E.A.R. 3 - Definitive Guide

House Arrest - 15G.
Attain a total of 105,000 score on Interval 4.

*Minor spoilers follow*

I was able to accomplish this while playing as Point Man on Commando difficulty. I ended with 10k more points than I needed for the achievement (had about 115k). I never died, but I did have to quit a few times. Had I not quit, I'd have gotten an even better score. It's not a particularly difficult score to get.

There are 5 weapons available in Interval 4: Pistol, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, SMG and Assault Rifle. I'm honestly blanking on the names. If you remember them, let me know. Anyway, I was able to do the weapon challenge for all but one of these weapons--the Shotgun--and that's just because I ran out of ammo. There's no shortage of enemies in this level, because once you get to the end the Phasecaster will continue to summon enemies for you to kill in various ways. He will stop eventually, or once you destroy the generators, but you'll have plenty of time to get lots of challenges done.

You'll eventually find yourself moving through a house wherein freaks will attack you. This is a place that you can get Godlike, for killing 20 enemies without taking damage. Keep your head on a swivel, and stay on your toes.

When you're in the mech, be sure to melee 5 enemies (A, or click Right Analog Stick), and kill a total of 20 without getting out of the mech (X).

This is also a good interval to pick up the following achievement:
F.E.A.R. 3State-of-the-art. Bang, bang! The State-of-the-art. Bang, bang! achievement in F.E.A.R. 3 worth 46 pointsKill 10 enemies in a row with Sniper Rifle headshots

There's plenty of Sniper Rifle ammo to be found.

Other than that, do whatever you normally do. Good luck!

The following videos are not my own. They were uploaded by YouTube user savgcom. They helped me get this achievement on the first try by following his directions step-by-step. I hope they help you, too.

The achievement will unlock when you finish the level.
I got 158,000 points by following these videos. You need 105,000. That's a difference of 53,000, so you have some room for error. Good luck!

For all of the points achievements, they become relatively straightforward once you get a good understanding as to all the challenges available (playing as point man)

What I would do is first drain the slow-mo in full for 3 times to get that challenge, then just hide behind cover for 200 seconds to pick up the two camping acheivements.

Always hunt the level for the psychic links as these are 1500 each plus 4500 for the Alma doll.

In terms of killing, always kill behind cover (10 for challenge), always kill in slow-mo and always headshot (more specific challenges).

Get rid of the pistol as it is a waste, and concentrate on 1 gun at a time. After 25 kills (a challenge) drop it and use th next gun.

Use slowmo to get behind 3 enemies and melee them and get the et tu brute challenge.

I also played on recruit, as there are big points for 50/100 kills without dying and also 50 slow mo kills.

Take your time, and play the level solely for the purpose ofcompleting challenges and you should be fine. Good luck!

This strategy can also help you get the 30 challenges in a level.

For each Interval/Score trophy you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this trophy. Interval 04 is a lot like Interval 02 but gives more people to kill and a few new weapons. The biggest challenge will be killing the Powered Armor with your basic weaponry. Use Shock Grenades to stun the Powered Armor and open up on him with frags and your G3. You can get 6 or more weapon challenges here (Strader, SMG, CAS, G3A3, Frag/Flash/Shock, Schuller). When you get your own Powered Armor be sure to kill 5 enemies with a melee or stomp and up to 20 enemies with exiting the Armor. At the end you'll fight against continuously spawning enemies; you can use this area to work on unfinished weapon challenges and to up your kill bonus.
