How to unlock the Are You Not Entertained?! achievement in Fable Anniversary - Definitive Guide

**THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE**

You can't get back into the Arena after completing it, so you only have one chance at this achievement, though it's not too hard. Make a hard save before entering the Arena. Never press B after a round; always press A to continue. The crowd meter doesn't matter. If you die and it makes you reload a checkpoint, if the counter for this achievement isn't still going up, you need to go back to your hard save.

Stock up on health and mana potions to be safe. Magic is your best friend here, particularly an area of effect spell like Enflame. It may also help to grab a Legendary weapon, but it's certainly not required. You can find them here:

Fable AnniversaryHorde ModeThe Horde Mode achievement in Fable Anniversary worth 31 pointsSome weapons are Legendary, and we feel it's worth you collecting at least 10 of them.

Round 1: Wasps

Wasps can be killed with your melee weapon if you want to save your mana. Or just blast them repeatedly with something like Enflame.

Round 2: Hobbes

Hobbes will quickly surround you while a magic flinger takes shots at you. I found it best to get near the magic users with RB (roll) and then use Enflame repeatedly.

Round 3: Balverines

Balverines are jerks and can hit hard and fast. I once again went with Enflame. It's a little harder to get them close together, but it's still effective.

Round 4: Undead

Undead are slow and clumsy. You can really take them out however you feel comfortable. Arrows work well, but if you're not worried about mana consumption, Enflame once again will blast them.

Round 5: Bandits

You've faced many bandits by this point. With so many of them coming at you so quickly, I once again went with Enflame.

Round 6: Earth Trolls

The trolls are a pain. Keep a troll between you and the other troll so you only have to worry about one. Stay close and melee until he pounds the ground and roll out of the way (RB). Then get back in and keep attacking. A spell like Slow Time would help here. Staying in this spot will also grab you this achievement if a rock from one troll connects with the other:

Fable AnniversaryFeed The TrollThe Feed The Troll achievement in Fable Anniversary worth 16 pointsGive a Troll a taste of its own medicine.

Round 7: Rock Trolls

The strategy for Rock Trolls is exactly the same as Earth Trolls. They just have much more life and a couple extra attacks, but the same strategy works.

Round 8: Arachanox

Much easier than rounds 6 and 7. Use your bow to get in as many strong shots as possible. You'll do extra damage for hitting him in the center eye. When he attacks, just roll out of the way.

Again, if for any reason you don't get this achievement, you need to reload your hard save and try again, as you cannot re-enter the Arena once this quest is done.

After round 8, you'll unlock this achievement. After completing the quest, you'll receive this one:

Fable AnniversaryGladiator, Ready! The Gladiator, Ready! achievement in Fable Anniversary worth 44 pointsTake on the might of everything that Albion has to offer. Well, almost everything…

Thanks. I decided to write one because I missed it and had to play a couple extra hours to get back there. :(

I found the Rock Trolls really annoying. Whistle was useless (standing by one of those blades the entire time). Agreed the Arachanox was easier, for sure! :D

I found the slow time spell very helpful and having whisper as a distraction to the enemies , the only annoying part for me was the rock trolls since whisper kept attacking the one I was and I was getting pelted by the other. and the last round was really easy especially using Skorm's Bow.

Btw, it was a cakewalk using "Thunder's Used Armor Set", "Sophia's Sword", and "Arken's Crossbow", only used Physical Shield as magic......

This Achievement is obtained in the Arena in Witchwood.

You have to fight through each of the 8 rounds consecutively without exiting. Before you enter make sure you have used all of your upgrade points, equip gear with high damage and high armor rating, and load up on tons of potions. Don't forget to buy Resurrection Vials. The Physical Shield spell is definitely suggested.

Here is a listing of what enemies appear in each round.
1) Wasps
2) Hobbes
3) Balverines
4) Undead
5) Bandits
6) Earth trolls
7) Rock trolls
8) Arachanox

This achievement is missable since you can't go back in after you have completed the arena. You would have to reload a save before entering the arena to try again.

The video shows you what each round consists of but I have to admit that it doesn't demonstrate the best strategies.

I made a note of that in the description. Do you have a save prior to the arena you can use?

So I can get this achievement if I wait until I'm maxed out and everything?

It's a story mission, so you won't progress in the story but you can do side quests to get XP before entering.

I screwed this up and don't have an earlier save. You're saying I have to playthrough the game again?

Yes AlphaMale that is unfortunately the case. I tried to restart the arena to farm xp and couldn't get back in. If someone does know how to restart the event without a previous save let me know.

You should add that this is missable. I assumed the arena was an optional quest where you could keep replaying it. My bad.

NOTE: THIS ACHIEVEMENT CAN BE MISSED

The Achievement is for you to survive in the arena for all 8 waves, and not go into the cells once. [The Cells are where you can take a break between rounds]

My recommendation is for you to stock up on Heath, and Might/Will potions, and resurrection potions.

Another recommendation, purchase the Divine Furry (If you are light, if you are dark, purchase the opposite spell. Sorry, I forget the name.)

There will be 8 rounds, Wasps, Hobbes, Balverines, Undead, Bandits, Earth Trolls, Rocks Trolls, and Arachanox.

[Note, that there are traps, spikes, and spinning blades.]

For the wasps, they're simple, use magic, or melee (recommendation)

For Hobbes, I recommend using traps as cover for you bow, going full out, and blocking with your melee, and of course magic. (Side note: Slow Time spell works great with Hobbes)

Balverines, during this, Whisper will arrive to help. At first, you'll fight just a wave of normal Balverines, I recommend magic, and going with either melee, or the bow. Once you fight off that maze, a white Balverine will arrive. For this, use the traps to your advantage, for you will also have other Balverines being a problem. Lure Balverines into the spinning blade traps, and hit them with your bow/magic. Another good tactic, is once the other Balverines are gone, go to town with your melee on the white one, for you'll be bale to hit him over and over. (According to my experiences) After that round, more Balverines will show up, and two white Balverines. I recommend same strategy.

After this, you'll get the Undead
for the Undead, I recommend Melee, and magic.

Once completed with them, you'll now face Bandits. Use the traps, and your bow/magic.

Now it gets easy for the rest of the show.

for the trolls, both Earth and Stone, hide behind the spinners, and dodge their rocks, while hitting them with your bow, after some time you'll get them both ;)

as for the final boss, simply dodge out of its way, then hit it with your bow/magic. When it charges its tail, you can, A. Hit it with your sword when it stomps into the ground, or B. Shoot it with your arrows or C. Use magic.

Then you're done! Hope this helped!

Good hunting! wink

Before going to the arena, it is best to already have a good weapon and a sufficient number of healers, because you will have to go through 8 rounds and kill almost all possible opponents in the game without leaving the arena.

I advise you to have good armor and weapons before the arena; I also recommend a good bow (it will especially help you with the final boss of the arena); I also advise you to stock up on health and mana potions and, of course, patience: because the arena is pretty exhausting due to its tediousness, to put it mildly. Moreover, you still need to try to die in fable, so just get ready for the arena, save money and go to merchants more often; and update your gear.
