How to unlock the Brewing Up a Storm achievement in Fable Fortune - Definitive Guide
First off, I don't know why this has a higher ratio than others like the Shapeshifter as I find the Alchemist a really good character to play (she boosts her cards very often).
Here's how to get it really quickly, go into Solo Events, then Heroic Tales, the ititial character (Miracle) is the Alchemist, and play Chapter 1 repeatedly, your opponent starts with only 20 health, so it should be easy enough to finish - if you start with any of the Liquid Fire cards, ditch them, they're nigh on useless!
Your additional 0 point card gives a unit +1/+2, so start with a 2 or 3 point character card and boost it - if it's 2 points, put it in Guard
From then on, try to spend 1 less than your gold spend for that turn and put your highest defense card as Guard - any time you can boost it, heal it, or anything like that, it's worth boosting them, and the Alchemist is VERY good at boosting!
If you get a chance to put a Flagellant as defense, do so immediately, and then raise their health if possible - whenever they're hit their strength goes up by 2! I had one with over 15 strength by the end of a match!!!
Cards which make the Alchemist completely awesome:
Potion of Youth - add +5 health to a card, for 2 gold spend
Bowserstone Bard 1/2 - give another unit +1/+1, for 2 gold spend
Jar of Ogre Slobber - add +3/+3 to a card, for 3 gold spend
Recipe for Success - draw 2 cards and add +1/+1 to all cards in hand, for 4 gold spend - very good in the mid-game when you have a lot of units in-hand
If you get lucky, you can start with a 2 gold card (Ferryman, 1/4), add the Pointy Stick to make it 2/6, then set it to defense.
If you start with a Huckster (1/2), use the Pointy Stick on his summoned Naive to make her 3/4
If you start with a Stinger (3/4), use the Pointy Stick to make it 4/6
All of these are good 2-3 round defense,,,
From there, just keep adding decently good defense units for Guard and boosting your cards - by turn 3-4 you should have a good set of units and be damaging enough that you destroy almost anything in Guard and hammering at the Potato Farmer to take her out before you're below 20!
I know it's a long description, but trust me, this is a decent character to get through the wins, and fast enough to get the win counter up.
