How to unlock the Track Star achievement in Fall Guys - Definitive Guide
Hello everyone,
first things first: I am by no means an experienced Fall Guys player (as a matter of fact I only started 4 days ago).
Anyway here’s how I got the Track Star Achievement in the timespan of one evening:
The Solo Show event is based on SBMM (skill-based matchmaking).
You can read more about it here: https://fallguysultimateknockout.fandom.com/wiki/Matchmaking
So what I did in order to prepare for this achievement was to de-rank myself. You wanna be in one of or the lowest matchmacking buckets.
I did so by queueing for Solo Show and then going AFK until the race was finished. You will obviously not qualify and thus lower your SBMM-rating (positive side effect: you gain 20exp everytime nontheless). I can‘t tell you exactly how many times I did this and it will vary from player to player since everyone is on a different SBMM-rating. As a guess I’d say I lost about 30-35 first rounds on purpose in order to get into a very low matchmaking bucket.
Here’s how you can tell that you’re in a low bucket:
- Tracks have fewer and slower obstacles
- Players are very bad/inexperienced for the most part (many times the timer ran out before enough players could qualify lol)
- Players wearing low level cosmetics
Once you’re in a low (or the lowest) bucket let us go for the 20 wins:
Start a Solo Show and try to win the first round (it’s always a race). You can tell that it’s already much easier due to the lower matchmaking bucket.
1. If you are not able to come in first don’t cross the finish line at all and wait till you are eliminated which will keep your SBMM-rating low and fasten things up. Queue for Solo Show again.
2. If you are able to finish first wait until the round has ended and check what type of course is next to come: If it’s another race definitely go for it and try to come in first again. Chances are you can do it again in your group constellation since you were able to in the first round (one time I had three races in a row and won all of them). If it’s a survival round just get yourself eliminated and start over again. We want to keep our SBMM-rating low.
Following this method I was able to get the 20 wins in about 5 hours. You can check the timestamps of my 1st and 20th win achievement.
(This does not include the time it took me to de-rank).
Hope this helps some people.
Edit: As some comments have stated you probably need far less than 30-35 rounds of de-ranking.

Does playing duos/squads/lte affect your skill rating?

Worked beautifully.

EDIT v. 2: It has been confirmed that in order for squad and duo wins to count, both you and your team must finish first. limited time modes also count for the achievement, but track under the same requirements as squads and duos
EDIT: I’ve seen multiple reports that people have won races in Duos and Squads WITHOUT their squad also finishing first and have not popped achievements but have popped them when both them AND their squad finished first. Kinda sucky, but it appears if you win in other game modes, your team must also do well. Thus Solo’s is still probably the best way to get this. I’ve seen some comments about not unlocking the achievements in limited time modes, but I haven’t gotten confirmation regarding whether or not their squad also came first so LTM’s could very well track the same as Duos and Squads. I will keel updating the solution as more info becomes available.
This achievement might be the hardest in Fall Guys but only because it doesn’t track properly. “Race” modes are game modes in which you make your way through obstacles competing with other contestants to a finish line. This achievement is for finishing first in 20 of these rounds.
Here’s where it gets dicey. Race wins in Solo shows seem to be the only way to reliably get this achievement. My first 5 race wins were all in Solo shows and the achievements for 1 win and 5 wins popped without problems. Unfortunately in duos, squads, and special gamemodes we have no idea how the tracking works. Some say it tracks correctly, some say both you AND your team overall must finish first, and some say they don’t count at all. For the time being, Solo shows seem to be the only way to reliably get this achievement.
I am keeping track of when I win races and how so I’ll be sure to keep you updated. As of now, I have 10 Solo wins, 1 squad win, 1 duo win, and 4 spartan showdown wins. In addition, in only 1 of those wins (not including solos) did my team ALSO finish first. When I get to 20 overall and 20 including races in which me AND my team finished first I’ll update the solution.
I’m sorry about this achievement. It would be nice if it tracked properly but unfortunately I don’t know if changes are coming. If you want a surefire way to unlock it, however, I suggest sticking to Solo games.
Also, kindly don’t downvote this guide simply because the achievement itself sucks. I know its awful but downvoting a legitimate guide because of it won’t change that. If you have a legitimate problem with the solution, let me know and I’ll be sure to edit it to clear things up.
Also if anyone has information as to how race wins track, that would also be very helpful. I’ll continue updating this solution as information comes in.

I think this just tracks based on medals earned during race events. When you play team modes you get team positions but individual medals, so it only tracks the race events where you specifically get first or a gold medal, regardless of how your team places in the event. Im at about 15 first places in race events but the achievement for 5 wins popped for me after I for first place in a team event.

okay thanks its good to know that it could just be a buggy achievement (like a couple in this game)😂

Edit: Due to constant rearranging of the Show Browser, the below solution may no longer be accurate.
---
A recent update made this achievement much easier.
In the Show Browser, scroll down to Unexplored Adventures.
In my experience the game mode is always a race and you have a 1 in 6-10 chance of winning (depending on how many players join), which is much better odds than regular play. Good luck.

Race rounds are the most common type of mini-game in Fall Guys, and make up the entirety of the large player count mini-games. Like races in other games, they require you to reach the finish line before other players. This trophy requires that you get first place in a race round 20 times, which is different from merely qualifying.
Notably, Fall Mountain does not count for this trophy, the game does not treat a win here as coming in first place.
Tips for how to win races are as follows:
- You may benefit by not adhering entirely to the other players in the pack. Simply following where the mob goes can cause you to get clumped in with other players and lose ground.
- Sometimes taking a route that's slightly longer while being less risky is actually beneficial. Sometimes you'll come out in first while other players are attempting the riskier route.
For specific races:
- The Whirlygig: There is a section just before a large fan where players have to jump onto one of two yellow boxes, then jump up to the next area. Don't bother with the yellow boxes as players clump together here. Just jump at the wall and hold R2 to grab and hoist yourself up.
- The Whirlygig (conveyor section): There is a high-risk shortcut immediately after the first escalating conveyor, which leads to a second escalating conveyor. At the end of this conveyor is a very fast fan that can knock you off easily, however passing it on the first try gives you a huge advantage. Stick to the far left edge of the second conveyor. Getting hit by the fan at this angle usually causes you to go down rather than off the edge, which is the safest way of crossing this fast conveyor.
- Hit Parade: Go with the grain of other players during the spinning wheels section. If you attempt to go against other players during this you'll just be flipped all over the place due to the overwhelming strength.
- Hit Parade (slimy section): Adhere to the far left or far right of the slimy slope. The moving bouncy poles can't hit you here.
- See Saw: Players tend to avoid the far left and far right see saws as the race fans out. Taking advantage of these barren areas is key to flipping the see saws in the direction you want them.
- Slime Climb: Avoid clumping with other players at all costs. It's imperative you don't risk getting knocked around as the obstacles are difficult enough as they are.
- Gate Crash: The gates are faster than you think. Sometimes going for a closed gate that nobody else is going for is beneficial as it'll open up by the time you arrive.
- Door Dash: If you're at the end and there are players behind you before jumping off of the cliff, try waiting for those players to catch up and actually push you off the cliff. The momentum from the force of those players can vault you into the goal.
- Fruit Chute: Stick to the hard left or hard right edge of the conveyor belt. The squishy barriers will block oncoming fruit. They can also stop you if you do get hit, stopping you from losing too much progress.
The trophy will unlock as soon as you win your 20th race.
