How to unlock the Farmer's Favorite achievement in Farming Simulator 17 - Definitive Guide

DO NOT BUY ANY FEILDS until you have this achievement if you did start a new game.

Below is a list of all 19 computer farmer's and the fields they own, as long as it's not random every time you start a game it should be helpful.

You'll have to go to at least one field of each farmer and do the work for them. Each farmer has a reputation bar that will fill in green when you complete jobs for them.

Just a helpful tidbit:

If you forget which farms you've done, you can check a farm by pulling up their field and noticing a progress bar. I guess this is your reputation with the farmer. If there is some progress, you've done some work for them. Hope that helps.

Any idea why I'm no longer able to help farmers? I go to the start point and nothing happens.

I've helped every farmer on 2 separate maps, and this achievement will not pop, both were new saves and just started helping farmers, i have bought nothing. Any suggestions?

I just wanted to add;

You can still get the achievement if you helped the farmer before buying the land.

I bought plot 19 after helping the owner, and then went on to finish helping the rest of the farmers. Bleep Bloop, achievement unlocked. So buying a farm doesn't void the achievement outright if you helped the farmer prior to purchasing!

Just a quick tip: if you hold RB+LB and B (without LT), you can reach the maximum vehicle speed during your field works. Makes these missions 3-4x faster to complete.

If you go to help a farmer and don’t like the estimate time of completion, press B to exit the mission dialogue. Press LS again, and you’ll be offered a different selection of equipment that may or may not reduce the time spent.

For example, on field 20, the original estimate was something insane like 136 minutes. Using the system above, I eventually found an 86 minute window.

I also experimented with field 5. When I got there, it was fully grown with wheat. It wanted me to spend 150 or so minutes harvesting. I went into options, turned time acceleration to 120x, turned off plant growth, and turned on withering. I don’t recall how much time actually passed before the field was cleared. Now when I went to field 5, the missions were for spraying. Much much faster task than harvesting. I feel like it only took about 30-40 minutes to cover the entire massive field.

I know this was three years ago, but thanks for the hint. I really like this game and I hope I can get the achievement now. :)

I went through each of the farmers (my field numbers were different) & completed a job. No achievement. I went back & traveled to each field & wrote down each farmer & their field numbers to make sure I had 19 farmers in my game. I do (playing on base map with the 2 mods recommended in the walkthrough). And I checked each field again to make sure the farmer had some progress on their green bar. They all did. I've done a hard reset on the console & gone into the game's achievement list under my profile to click on the achievement to see if it was "stuck". Any ideas on what I need to do, other than starting a new career save & running all the jobs again, to get the achievement to pop?

You need to start your save over unfortunately. I'm in the same boat as you.

You must complete a task for each farmer by visiting their fields and pressing cn_LS on the blue 'Information' box to bring up the task menu.

Do NOT buy any fields until you have this achievement!

If you, like me, accidentally buy a field which is a farmers only field before doing a task for them, field 18 for example, that farmer will be removed from the game and this achievement will be void for that save.

I recommend doing this on day one of your farm. Set the time to real time in the options menu and drive round the map checking each field for tasks. At this point in the game the majority of tasks should be to fertilize the farmers field which is by far the quickest task to complete. You can see if you have already helped a farmer as a progress bar is shown under their name, if it is filled in with a small amount of green you have already helped them at least once. If a farmer currently doesn't have any available missions either note down the field number and come back or speed up time and try again.

You must complete this within one save file on one farm. E.g. You cannot miss one farmer in one save then go and do their task in another save game.

The tools given to you are choosen randomly.

If the duration of the mission is too high (because of poor tools), you can close the mission (without starting it), and reopen it : given tools will be changed, and with some luck, you can cut big on time (eg. seeding field 5, max. 240 minutes, min. 73 minutes).

DO NOT BUY ANY FIELDS. YOU ONLY NEED TO HELP ONCE PER FIELD.

WARNING, you will be holding cn_LB and cn_RB the entire time you are driving, but it's not that bad.

I found a way to speed this up with a bug pertaining to cruise control. Depending on field size, it will take you anywhere from 5 minutes minimum to 20 at most per field. Maybe 25 for the largest ones.

You can keep opening the interface and closing it, which is randomized torwards lowering the ETA and having chances at a better vehicle. But it doesn't stop there.

This will work for any vehicle. Normally when you're doing whatever it is with a vehicle in the field, your MPH will be 6-8 maxed. So what this glitch does, is that it allows you to drive max speed and all you have to do is circle around the field until 95% of it is complete.

To do this, put on the attachments and turn them on. What you're going to do is:

Hold cn_LB + cn_RB.

You will see - cruise control.. While you are driving, you are going to HOLD cn_B while holding cn_LB and cn_RB. Normally, you tap B to activate cruise control, but by holding it down, it allows you to reach max speed while using attachments.

Once you have reached a speed between 20 - 30 MPH, it is safe to let go of cn_B. (If you let go too soon, it doesn't retain the speed... Don't ask me why, I don't know)

YOU MUST STILL HOLD cn_LB and cn_RB OR ELSE IT WILL DROP BACK DOWN TO 6MPH.

At this point, with cn_LB and cn_RB held, you should be doing max speed the entire time. All you have to do is circle around the field until you reach the middle of the field. You cannot adjust the camera while doing this, so find a comfortable position!! At about 95% of the way, it will be complete in no time at all! Don't worry about trailers - swing wide and you will be fine.

**MISSABLE**

As you drive up to a numbered field you'll have the option to purchase it or help out the farmer which will trigger a mission. DO NOT BUY THE FIELD. Buying the field before you complete the mission will make this achievement unobtainable. Choose to help at each farmers field and complete their missions. Each Mission is a farming task and you'll have to figure out how to assemble the equipment and complete the task. You'll have a Pie chart and a time limit that shows your progress. Once you complete a mission for each farmer the achievement will unlock.

An easy way to track which farmers you've helped is by checking the loyalty meter when you first preview the mission. If you've helped a famer there will be progress on that meter.

Use THIS guide to make sure you help each Farmer. You only have to do one mission for each farmer and some farmers own multiple farms.

Thanks to BSH 1975 for his guide.
