You can fully level one car within 3.0-3.5 hours depending on the car/lap times without touching anything or staying next to your console:
Necessary:
- You must plug in your controller
- You must disable „Show me things“. Dashboard > Settings > Preferences > Idle > Uncheck „Show me things“
- In Forza Settings > Driving Assists > Maximum Assists + Throttle: Assisted
[Optional: Advanced Controller > Vibration Scale from 100 to 0]
Game Setup:
- Rivals mode
- Select the class of the car you want to level
- Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe
- Select track variation Old Mulsanne Circuit
- Start Race
As soon as the car drives itself you must press and then so you are in the Friction menu. This is essential, so the game won’t stop after 10 minutes.

You gain roughly one level in one lap. If you want to squeeze out a few minutes then auto-upgrade your car once in a while so you get faster lap times. I selected this track because it’s technical and gives a large amount of segment bonuses.

Level 25 was reached at 22 rounds with 4 minutes 9 seconds and 1.5 hours.
In the end I don’t think it matters but someone can try this car at an oval.
Will try SPA tomorow, where you have more turns and so maybe more sektor bonuses?
Edit: 1 hour Spa - P Class Toyota -> 18 Levels (0-18)
-> theoretical Level 54 after 3 hours - but i don't think it makes much difference

Edit2: 1 hour small oval (eaglerock) - P Class Toyota -> 16 Levels (18-34)
Already unlocked 10 cars with level 50. Still 20 to go.
I can't help but think that this car leveling up thing isn't what the developers intended. It's a pretty busted system. IMO max rank should be achieved in 30 minutes of racing. Maybe an hour max. It's too much of a grind to level cars up and I'm sure many people will just not upgrade or only pick one car per class.
As soon as I finish downloading this you'll definitely be getting my upvote and I'm sharing this method with as many people as I can. Let's tank that ratio lads!
I thought about making a guide with all the numbers, but it really boils down to the numbers shown here if you afk, or if you drive yourself the entire time each car is maxed out in roughly 2.5hrs, so yeah at least 75hrs of track time to max 30 cars..
I hope they double the CXP earned in track segments (the hidden value that moves the cxp bar) pretty soon, and also add a "Perfect Segment +100CXP" when you get 10.0, as that builds on the whole "connect with your car and level up"-thing. Leveling cars is way too slow the way it is now..
On the other hand you need to optimize: You need to drive slower cars for the carreer, so a series and gain XP here until it’s finished and then use the trick above to finish them.

- 1 Level on Miami: 3:55,xx = 9 laps
- 1 Level on Le Mans: 3:45,xx minutes = 1 lap + first segment of second lap
Miami gives like 6-7 segement score while Le Mans is more like 8s
Still so far I used Susuka short -> has got 9 Turns. Give a decent amount of cxp.
X-Class needs around 50 sec., S-Class around 55 sec, ...
From LVL 0 to 50 it takes around 225 rounds.
I'm still testing a few things, but for now it still works if you have a turbo controller or check on it once in a while.
It helps that this gives a ton of money too. Driver level 605, 21m credits since launch. Guess I'm set?
It is the last achievement for my wife and she didn’t got it with 30 cars on level 50.
Trigger it by unlocking an achievement in another game doesn‘t work either.
So the question is, if everyone who have the same issue should level more cars, until it pops or is it better to delete the savegame and start from scratch, if this is even possible and progress is not stored online..
From the game pause and go to Settings, then RB all the way over to Advanced Controller. Scroll down to Vibration Scale and turn it to zero, or whatever you prefer.
Edit: Good news everybody, according to the TA tracker, APEX N3RD unlocked the achievement today. So I guess it was a late/silent pop in the background and it is not bugged!
Do some of this while trying for Online achievements just so you are knocking out as many achievements as possible & lvl ups.
Then do all the cars you driven for the 4 tours 1st as they will be the quickest to complete as they will all be in the range of lvl 15-25.
Then use all the credits you got to buy P/X class cars to do the lvl 1-50 quicker & also do them over night if you're able to. I'm currently at 19 cars at lvl 50. Hoping to be done all of this early tomorrow morning or in the evening.
Just 2 hrs 50 for a slower car and just about 3 hrs for a fast car
I've had a car autodriving for the past hour without needing dismiss the popup. Last Friday it was timing out after the first 50 minutes, and since then it's been fine. I don't know if the tab makes a difference, but I've been staying on General.
CLOUD users: Like someone else suggested, it's a good idea to do an 11 minute timed race, 0 drivatars, and check in every 11 minutes to collect race money and start the event over. We can't boost overnight or for anything longer than 11 minutes and 30 seconds.
Btw, I think upgrading midway through is not worth it if you're focusing on fast cars (S+, maybe A+ even), you won't save that much time to justify all the menuing. Even if it does end up saving a little bit of time I'd argue that in comparison to the 60h or so that you'll be using this method it's so negligible that your time is better spent just not worrying about the game at all while it's doing its thing. Personally, once a couple of laps are over I look at the best time and calculate when it's going to reach level 50.
I hope this was helpful to someone!
Update: car 15 unlocked the 10 achievement for me
@rodrigo when you say some cars are stuck at 49, where are you seeing that, is it when they're on the track? When i look at the "my cars" section they are all showing as 50 but do they somehow show as 49 somewhere else?
UPDATE: Confirming that rubber banding the right analog stick does appear to work to keep the game from stopping. You probably don't need to be in the friction menu anymore either at that point.
Rubber band method doesnt help, it seems if you run rivals it just pauses after 15 minutes regardless now so they clearly wanted to stamp this out.
1. Download DisplayFusion - depending on what license you choose it is either $35 or $50.
2. Create a function with DisplayFusion to always focus the selected window (Forza - make sure fullscreen is unchecked)
3. Run rivals, but remember to tap a control on the game every <15 minutes to register an input and prevent it from pausing
4. (Optional) - Drag the game to a secondary monitor to keep it out of your way
Again, you need to be present but at least you're able to not have the game focused but still do other things. This is more beneficial if you have another monitor to drag the game away to make it less of a distraction.
Any suggestion??

1. Pick Free Play
2. Choose car (if you have credits focus on best two car categories)
3. Quick configuration
4. Choose:
- Eaglerock Speedway
- variant OVAL
- 60 laps (which give you aprox 10 lvls of car), one lap can take 26-28seconds
- start grinding laps and car levels
- total race time should take under 30 minutes
- after that you can choose RESTART RACE (You will not loose grinded XP!).
- you will get car 50 lvl in 2h30min, mainly controlling only the throttle and turning left
Hint : each time you choose RESTART RACE try to do quick upgrade in race menu, this should speed up the process even more.

Since the full AFK mode has been patched, it can still be modified. Every 15 minutes your game is going to pause and make you press resume. One way to continue to do this is to "babysit" the game. Feel free to do anything else knowing it is going to pause every 15 minutes. Play another system, homework, telework, etc.
Also, If found that segments, lap length, exp given are all relative. While a short track might have more segments, you will get less exp for them. Testing across different tracks, I found that you will get a car to lvl 50 in 3-3.5 hrs regardless whether you are on a short oval (Eagle Speedway), long oval (Miami Speedway), short complex circuit (maple valley club), or long complex circuit (Le Sathe). What I did notice though, is with faster cars, you are more likely to crash and get stuck even with max assists. I found that I have never crashed on long ovals though and they are my go-to for this grind now.
Other tips, you can have a wired controller rubber banded and still turn on your wireless controller and press A to resume the "pause wall". Currently, I have been teleworking and with my tv in another room, checking my pet camera to see when the game pauses and resuming it with my wireless controller.
I will update if find any quicker or better tips.

The mode that is working well for me is rivals.
Mode: Rivals
Track: Hakone Grand Prix 2.66 Miles
Car: ANY (Whatever you are working on basically)
Don't bother trying to beat your rival unless you really care. Just race around the track as fast and carefully as you can, you should if your car is fully upgraded be able to level up around every 3minutes give or take. I've done about 5+ cars already using this method and its how I plan to finish the rest off. I do it during work days etc and just listen to a podcast etc. It flies by since the track is varied enough to keep me interested but not too simple that I get bored and lose interest like with the oval tracks.
