How to unlock the The Perfect Run achievement in Gears of War 4 - Definitive Guide
There is an easier way: Everybody can die!
Edit: I changed the solution a little bit to clarify that there is no need to lose internet connection if the host didn't die during the match. Guest players can just quit to main menu and return with different class.
The trick is: if the host dies, he can disconnect the internet cable before wave 49 ends and the game will choose another player to be the host. Note that it won't work by closing the game or quitting to main menu. Host needs to lose internet connection!
Then he can come back to the match with another class. If other players (not the host) died during the speedrun, they can just quit to main menu and come back with another class.
EDIT 1:
- If only the host dies during the process, it's ok to disconnect only him. He needs to remember to change his class while he is returning to the match! Credits to cooorpse.
- The team can quit during the final wave (50 or 25 if it is a horde variant). Credits to Davis 888 and Bastian Reader.
Example - when everybody died:
Note: if Snatcher catchs someone, don't use Team Revive as it will count as one death! Just shoot/kill the Snatcher until he releases the player.
This is how my friends discovery the trick:

I made these two pictures to explain how Lift Speedrun works. You can use it for all three new Horde achievements to avoid more than one spawn area; of course, for "You're the support, son" achievement you will need to use your own weapons because you can't buy anything from the Fabricator.

Nice guide, thank you. I’m new to speedruns on Horde so not sure if I understand the premise. If a team follows the designs above and are in those positions for the full wave, does it mean that enemies will only spawn from that western room? The engineer is the only one who should be moving? Then the idea is grenade plants, sentries, and the Heavy concentrate fire on the one room? What does the soldier do with shock grenades in the second image - just throw them during the wave? Should the grenades be planted just like in the diagram? Sorry for all the questions. It looks like it may be feasible even with someone using two controllers (e.g. Sniper and Scout as they don’t seem to be needed except at specific moments)

We just did this now, so this works as of 10 AUG 2019.
We used Lift Apex speed run, did normal speed run by bulding sentries, fences, grenade tagging spawn and spawn blocking till wave 47 and left 1 enemy alive.
By this time all of us including me (the host) had died once each.
So I paused the game, the other 4 left, changed classes and came back as a new class and i waited till they all confirmed they could see the map.
I then pulled my network cable out and got kicked out my own game.
One of the other guys became host.
I joined back and changed to sniper (was previously a soldier) and when the new host unpaused, it said Wave Failed!
New host restarted wave 47 and when u press select, you can see 0 points, 0 deaths, etc and scores were blank again.
Sniper striked the last 3 waves and all 5 of us got the Perfect Run achievement. The other guys got school of 08 too (as we didnt build anything last 3 waves) and a few other achievements. Hopefully this

Hi there, I’m going to start this guide with my team’s actual setup and I’ll explain the strategy at the end.
Map: War Machine
Base: spawn
I prefer the side that you actually spawn in, but either is fine
Class setup:
2 engineers, 1 soldier, 1 sniper, 1 scout
Engineer 1: flow, turret cost, sentry cost, sentry speed, repair boost
Engineer 2: decoy cost, flow, repair boost, barrier health, decoy health
Soldier: Resupply, grenade damage
Sniper: called shot, sniper strike
Scout: pickup distance, and obviously deposit bonus
Base setup: (assuming you choose the spawn you spawn in. If you choose the other spawn, flip the directions)
-3 sentries for the top of the stairs
1 on the left, 2 on the right(leave a space between these)
-3 decoys at the bottom of the stairs
1 on the left, 1 in the middle, 1 on the right
-2 turrets. 1 on the left, and 1 on the right, far enough back where you can’t be shot at, but far enough forward to be able to shoot at the doorway.
-2 barriers at the doorway(keep these level 2)
-fill the back of the room with sentries with any extra money
Okay now the strategy. Keep in mind this does take a little longer than you may like: about 80 minutes for 25 waves of horde frenzy.
You’ll want your sniper spotting the enemies coming in, and your soldier lobbing shock grenades at the entrance periodically. The engineers need to be refilling the sentries mid-wave. The far right sentry is difficult to get to. You could try and position the fabricator close enough to this sentry so you have cover for refilling. When there’s one guy left the scout just needs to run to the bottom of the stairs and his pickup distance will do all of the work for him. No need to leave the last guy alive because of this. The only enemies that gave us a little scare were guardians. Sometimes they sneak they’re way up the stairs but if you’re ready for them, it’s no problem. Sniper strike whenever you feel is right.
Bosses weren’t much of a threat.
Kestrel: they don’t spawn on War Machine
Swarmak: they can’t fit near spawn. Leave them as the last guy.
Snatcher: They blitz the spawn. Have the sniper spot him and focus all fire on him. You’ll probably get two so just keep those sentries filled!
Carriers: same as snatcher, but takes much longer to kill.
That’s about it. Some waves take like 3 minutes for all of the enemies to make it to the spawn, but it’s not super long. I hope this helps guys! Good luck!

Nice setup! Anything you did differently for the carrier?? Seems to be a hiccup for our group

For anyone wondering, before the fab was dropped before wave 1 starts the countdown, our soldier blew himself up with nades to give our scout extra power (typical strat for horde). We didn't realize that it was a death on the stats until Wave 10 (and were a little worried that it would void the achievement) but we pushed on and didn't die through the 50 waves and the achievement popped.

Map suggestion: Blood Drive
Game variant suggestion: Monster Mash (25 Waves)
Difficulty: Insane
There are already a few good guides out there for how to go about this but 25 seems to work best. I will clarify what other people have figured out so you will hopefully know exactly how to do it confidently.
Basically everyone can start the match as any class, I personally went with an engineer a scout a sniper and soldiers but anything will work. Try to avoid being heavy as you will probably want to re-join after quitting as heavy for best chance.
My guide is focused on how to make sure you get the achievement on Wave 25, this will be a step by step on how to do it successfully every time.
1. Play normally and once you hit wave 25 and your base is all set up with sentries the way you want you will want the host to pause the game (Let the match timer run down so the wave officially starts, but don't let it go on to long so you save up your sentries and base).
2. Everyone but the host will leave the match and re-join the game as a different class (For us it was re-joining as all heavy's with marked damage boost card).
3. Now once everyone else is loaded in game and they can see the overhead map, the host of the match will want to disconnect from the match by pulling his Ethernet cord from his Xbox until he is kicked from the match. If you are on Wi-Fi, then it is best you pull the power from your router.
4. Once the host can see that he has been kicked from the game he can re-connect his internet. The rest of the group will still be in the pause menu and a new host of the match will be selected. Keep an eye out as it should tell the person who is the new host they have been selected.
5. Let the last guy re-join the game and once he is loaded in and everyone looking at top down map then the new host will press the pause button and select the option to resume. It should restart the match and fail the wave, allowing the host to resume from current wave.
From this point just don't die and you will have yourself the achievement. If you feel up to it you can stack this with "You Are The Support Son!" for not spending any power at the fabricator.
If for any reason you die you can just re do the steps above again until you get it. Just make sure you pause the game if anyone dies so that you have time to go through the steps again

Best guide for this method by far.

Thanks man. I just figured a clear step by step guide for anyone who wasn't sure how to do it would help. As far as maps and variant of Horde, anything should work

This solution works well in conjunction with the solution for Do You Even Lift? If the host of the game does not die during the match, the other players that have died can leave on Wave 23 or 24 if playing a 25 wave mode or Wave 48 or 49 and come back into the game. As long as nobody dies on the last wave or waves after they re-enter the match the achievement will pop. I thought of this just before our team was about to exit and re-enter the match as soldiers for the final wave. Sure enough it worked. The host of the match was a Soldier, had no deaths and never left the game. I was a Soldier and had left the game before dropping the fabricator and came back as a Soldier and had no deaths during the run. The other people had returned as other classes and all had a death or two during the game. The final summary screen still showed them as having deaths but the achievement worked anyway for the whole party. The game appears to remember what class you have died with so come back as a class that you have not died as during the game.
Update:
An additional way has been discovered if the host dies. The host can die but has to disconnect from the match before the final wave by disconnecting the internet connection. The game will then switch to a different host and then the host can rejoin the match. Credit to rafa1000house for this part of the solution.
So basically do what ever speedrun strategy on whichever map you want and make sure anybody that has died leaves and re-enters before the final wave. We did the lift speed run and had a bunch of power stored up in the fabricator so we came back as soldiers and spammed the hammer for the final wave. It works on other maps and is not tied to being the soldier class. Other solutions should give credit to this method originally discovered by me if using it as the basis of their solution.
Update 2: The monster mash enemy list seems to be buggier than standard enemies and the achievement may not unlock for everyone on this mode.

the surest way is HORDE (closed game with friends or your team), insane difficulty, MONSTER BATTLE, what do you need?! TEAM and only, with full upgrade from options 2 sniper 3 soldiers, soldiers for grenades, all snipers for damage explosion to the head and ammunition, the CLOCK TOWER map on the respawn, everyone should take a position at the beginning (what is good about the map? The fact that all 5 people shoot in one place, in fact, it’s convenient and quick to mark enemies easily and everyone sees them! We pass everything with grenades and in front! successful hunting
