How to unlock the The roof is on fire achievement in Halo Wars 2 - Definitive Guide

This achievement, as well as "I don't want to set the world on fire" may come naturally during your online career while playing as Kinsano. That being said, both of these can be done with minimal effort in a solo Skirmish match against the AI on Easy. If you prefer to knock these out this way, head into the Skirmish lobby and make these setting changes:

  • Map: Sentry
  • Gametype: Stronghold
  • Starting Supply: 9999
  • Starting Power: 9999
  • Fog of War: Off

Now choose Kinsano as your leader and begin the match. This solution will cover the method used in obtaining "I don't want to set the world on fire" first.

Once the match starts, build an Armory and then build Kinsano's Cyclops when it becomes available. With Kinsano's Mech out on the battlefield, send it to the enemy base right away. If you'd like, you can construct an Airpad and build a few Hornets and Nightingales as to provide aerial support and healing support for the Mech Unit.

When you arrive at the enemy base, proceed to move Kinsano's Cyclops to any of the base's buildings and then tap to attack it with the Flamewall ability. This ability will allow the Mech to shoot dual-cannons of fire in a jet-stream-like fashion at the target. Typically, though depending on the angle the Mech is attacking the building, you should be able to destroy two buildings in one use of the ability.

While the ability is cooling down, the enemy will rebuild any destroyed buildings and likely send out a few Infantry Units to attack the Mech. If you chose to bring along a few Hornets, then there's nothing to worry about here; the Hornets will dispatch the Infantry Units quickly. When the ability is ready to use again, proceed to activate Flamewall again and again on the enemy's base buildings. Once fifty enemies - or in this case, buildings - have been destroyed with Flamewall, the achievement will unlock.

In order to work on "The roof is on fire," you will want to use the same match settings outlined above. The only significant difference here - and it's much less involved of a process - is that when the match starts, you will have to build bases on every available plot and upgrade a few buildings and turrets of your own so that you earn enough Leader Points to unlock the Inferno ability.

Once you have access to this ability, simply call it in and position the area of effect over the entirety of the enemy's main base. When the Inferno is called in, it will burn the buildings and turrets for a short duration of time and likely destroy anywhere from four to five in process. When the ability is ready to use again, just keep on positioning it over the center of the enemy's base to destroy the outer buildings and turrets. This process does take a while in order to net one-hundred kills, but it's far more effective and far less luck-based than trying to do it legitimately online.

NOTE: If you have a boosting partner, both of these achievements can be obtained even faster by having one enemy play as a Banished leader in a 1v1 Skirmish match. When the match begins, the Banished player should build as many Grunt units as possible and then send them to the center of the map. Here, the Kinsano player can use the Mech's Flamewall ability or Inferno on the four-to-five dozen Grunts, effectively speeding up the progress for each achievement much faster than doing it alone.
