How to unlock the Artistic achievement in Infinite Undiscovery - Definitive Guide
This achievement can only be obtained on Normal difficulty or higher, as the last notation is found in the Seraphic Gate.
To write the tune you will need to find a specific notation and will also need Musician's Quills (which can be bought easily from the general store in Halgita). Here are the locations of all of the notations:
Note: 3 of these are missable so I will put a (M) next to these, also to write the final tune Rico must be at IC Level 6.
Obstreperus: You start the game with this tune.
Prudentiae & Percipere: You receive these two tunes after defeating Rambert at the Dragonbone Shrine, soon after arriving in Nolaan.
(M)Concerto Notations: After completing Castle Prevant, before heading to Burgusstadt, make sure and return to Nolaan. When you arrive at Nolaan speak with Sigmund and he will give you this notation.
Training Notations: You will receive this notation after the small camp-fire scene when you are headed towards Fayel.
Prelude Notations: This notation is received after the first cut-scene when you arrive at Fayel castle.
Fantasia Notations: On disk 2, at Fayel Castle, you will receive this notation after the balcony cut-scene.
Fugue Notations: Found in a chest in the Bihar Mines. There will be a room that requires you to use a call-pipe to enter, after using the call-pipe enter the room and kill the enemies, the chest is also in this room.
Sonata Notations: Found in a chest in the Northeast section of the Cobasna Timberlands. After taking the final teleport, when finding the cure for Edward, instead of continuing North, turn around and go South, just before hitting the teleport their will be a locked chest on your right. To open it you will need to connect to Vic.
Overture Notations: Found in a chest in Dais. After defeating the Spider Queen you will exit on top of the mountain, there will be a Save Point as well as two chests, one of these chests contains the Overture Notations.
(M)Suite Notations: After arriving back in Port Zala from Kolton for the first time, speak with Aya before you leave the city.
Nocturne Notations: For this notation, return to Sapran and examine Feina and Leif's grave. You can first do this after being chased out of Fayel.
(M)Capriccio Notations: Found in a chest in Valette Castle. In the 2nd room with the colored spheres, hit them when they turn blue to open up a side room, one of the chests in this room contains the notation.
Symphony Notations: Found in a chest on the Castle Prevant section of the Seraphic Gate. The chest is right before the teleporter to the Halgita section, near a mimic. You will need to connect to either Vic or Komachi to open this chest.
After writing all the respective tunes, simply use them on Capell to learn them, once he learns the last one the achievement will pop.
You will then need to have Rico write a score, this item can then be used on Capell to teach him a tune. Rico will need to be at IC Level 6 to write the final tune. This CANNOT be done with Savio as he can't write all the tunes. Once Capell learns his final tune the achievement will unlock.
Musician's Quill:
Can be acquired in the following ways:
- Bought in a shop in Halgita.
- Can be made by Kiriya.
- There are also some scattered around the world in chests, see the "Treasure Chest" guide for more details.
Key:
- (Unmissable) - These tunes either don't require notations or require notations that cannot be missed.
- (Missable) - These tunes require notations that must be picked up at a specific point in the game, or they will be missed permanently. These notations are not available in the end game.
- (Anytime) - These notations can be picked up at anytime after you reach the area they are in. If you miss them you can come back during the endgame and pick them up then.
