How to unlock the Forrest Dash achievement in Killer Frequency - Definitive Guide
These are some things I found while working through this achievement myself. I'm going to list them roughly in order of what I think is most impactful first.
- All the solutions seem to be fixed, so you can bypass about half of the game's walking around by writing down or memorizing the solutions and telling Peggy you'll just wing it. The only callers where you need the quest item to proceed are Maurice (fax with floor plan), Dawn/
- You don't need to listen to the entirety of Clive's recordings for it to count. Either pressing play is enough or the trip between the last recording and the intercom is long enough for the entire recording to play out.
- Advertisements can be played during non-ad segments and paused before the ending, then resumed when the game says to play an ad, significantly cutting down on the ad time. The same ad can also be played every time, and Forrest's/Peggy's commentary will not happen again after the first time.
- There's no penalty for playing or stopping music before you're supposed to, and having music playing while Forrest transitions to it will skip the "Should I introduce this song?" prompt. Just remember that music always has to be off before you take a call or talk on air.
- The only record you need to find is the Roddy Snatcher one, which you can pick up behind reception while also picking up the cassette left after saving Maurice. When going outside to find the Barn Finds vinyl, you can ignore it and immediately pick up the fuses and fix the fusebox.
This goes by the play time in the pause menu. It is a very tight squeeze but you can manual save and just reload if you think you took too long on a part. A tip to save some time when you go into the basement to find multiple radios be sure to pick up a manual with alarm codes right before you go in the last room. Doing this will avoid an extra trip to the basement later and save sometime.
I also found you can pick up the teen's list in the reception area as well as the map out of the garbage your first time down there. Doing this will save 2 additional trips down there later as well.
