How to unlock the Around The World achievement in Killer Instinct Classic - Definitive Guide

Around the World:

QP - (X)
MP - (Y)
FP - (RB)
QK - (A)
MK - (B)
FK - (RT)

Half circle forward/back & Quarter circle back/forward, think of three rows of numbers from 1-9 as ur joystick or D-Pad

Quarter Circle Forward: 2, 3, 6
Quarter Circle Back: 2, 1, 4
Half Circle Forward: 4, 1, 2, 3, 6
Half Circle Back: 6, 3, 2, 1, 4

Tip: For FP (RB) I move the Right bumper to Reft Trigger. It kinda brings back the SNES contoller for me to do certain combos that require RB (default) and alot easier for me to do some combo's to get the Ultra working.
Yes you will get frustrated if you cannot unlock it. If you have a second controller it will be alot easier.

For doing Ultra Combos for each Character is simple then it is. You do not have to do alot of combo's at once to obtain an Ultra. It takes 2-3 hits and then unlocking the combo move right after at a certain point of the enemies life bar. When 1/4 of the second life bar (Orange-Red) flashes every match you do the Combo or a couple of hits that connect + the Ultra Combo right after and you can watch the animation go through without tapping any buttons.
You do not have to do Eyedol's combo for the achievement, since there is no combo for him to use.

Yojimbo Jim's comment is a lifesaver - Jump, Fierce Kick, Medium Punch (So cn_upcn_RTcn_Y on default) for Triple/Super Combo to start & then the ultra. For anyone having trouble with Glacius or Jago , Jago's is Quarter Circle Forward to Down + QK and Glacius is Forward, Neutral, Quarter Circle Down to Forward + QP. The F, FD, D+QK notation is ambiguous.

Charge back or forward is also holding the back or forward on the D pad. Half Circle is the lower half of the D-pad. Example: Half Circle forward- Back, Back down, Down, Down Forward, Forward all in one swift move from the left D pad button to start off.

Hey I wanted to give you a heads up. If you add a second player to continue then you can switch your characters if you want to. Example: I used Saberwolf up to Spinal/Fulgore saved myself with 2nd pad choose Eyedol (the back forward club works wonders on those two) then on Eyedol switched back to Saberwolf for the win. Just a heads up for anyone that might want to do it that way it does work.

Dude thanks for the guide it helped a lot :-) the only thing I wanted to mention was about jago's ultra, I had trouble pulling it off doing D, DB, B + QK, after about 15 attempts I tried F, FD, D + QK and it worked, hope this helps anyone else who find this a bit awkward ;-)

I'm not sure which combo move to do before the ultra. I tried the shoulder charge but then his ultra misses the enemy and doesnt count. The only other combos he has are his uppercut (which wouldnt work) and his fireball thing which also does not mesh well with his ultra command... Help!

If I start Arcade Mode, perform an ultra and exit. Then I restart Arcade Mode to choose another character and perform his ultra and exit again, is the game keeping proper count of all the ultras I've done 'till the moment?

It should stayed registered! Never tried one at a time, then exit. Just did every character one time in one sitting an got the achievement!

To start a three hit combo with any character,
Jump, Fierce Kick then follow up with Medium Punch. Youre welcome.

Anyone got any tips on the timing for these? I've tried it with Cinder for 14 fights in a row now and I just can't get it right. Never seems to hit a combo, it just hits both moves in a row.

You need to do it in arcade mode right? If you Ultra another (human) player, the game doesn't count it right?
I'm asking this because I did an ultra with all the characters, but the achievement didn't unlock... but I was against a second controller...

For the TJ ultra I tried to hold forward then press back and rb but its clearly not workin :/

The ultra for Jago is wrong on this solution! I had to look it up in a magazine from June 3rd 1995 to find the correct Ultra!! Try this combo and it should work just fine. Flying kick with FK, 3x MK, flying kick with QK. You do a flying kick by starting with forward to down and back and any kick button.

Here's an easy way to do TJ Combo's Ultra. When your opponent health bar is in the red and flashing roughly about 15% left. Do his rolling gut punch charge back for 2 seconds forward and medium punch. The key is when you're in the animation for the roll you have to be charging forward and then press back and FP.

I need help doing a combo with riptor when I'm doing jump fierce kick and medium punch and go for the ultra combo it doesn't seem to register I need help you don't have to tell me her ultra combo I know its charge back forward QK

Jago's Ultra needs to end with a QK wind kick (DownForward, Down, DownBackward, + A). A quartercircle back + A Doesn't do this move.

Is it possible to get some clarification? I have tried the ultra for cinder and all it does is the twist spin and he dies......sorry if i am dense, i don't play these games often!

am i the only one who thinks it would be easier if there was a easy combo you can chain with ultra in order to read it as one move rather than trying to chain 2 together. Sorry but im terrible at these games and have managed to pull off 0 unltrs thus far. Try to do thunders however i can;t work out what move is best to chain it off of

Some combos have been harder to pull off than others but I'm seriously struggling with Orchid. Not sure why but hers just doesn't seem to connect, maybe it's because I'm pressing jump up + then immediately holding back before pressing Y then forward Y. Dunno if it being the same button is throwing it off.

Edit: I did it with some help from the crazy 48+ hit ultra combo guides on YouTube. The above worked for everything except Orchid (thank you to the comments above from iMaginaryy and Yojimbo Jim) but for Orchid I used charge back, forward A to do the spinning kick and then during this charge back, forward Y to do the ultra. I did it first time with this after trying over 30 times. Hope that helps.

All Ultra combos can be viewed in the game help.
Requirements to run Ultra:
1. The opponent’s lives should be blinking (this is the second round);
2. You should start doing a normal combo. And it is desirable that there be 3x, only after that you need to press the combination for Ultra.
3. It is not necessary, but it is advisable to have a second joystick. It's faster and easier.
