How to unlock the All Hands on Deck achievement in Kingdom: New Lands - Definitive Guide
Ok I now feel qualified to write a guide for this achievement having obtained it yesterday.
This is not an easy achievement, but bear in mind you can fast travel to the fifth land after beating the first once you have it unlocked, making this slightly less frustrating. If you do decide to go through the other lands first you could potentially land with a total of 4 Knights, giving you 2 on each side. This can prove very useful for destroying portals at an early stage. First things first, scout the map during daylight as best you can to work out which side the dock is on. On my map there were 3 portals between my base and the docks.
I have discovered the more I have played this game that you do not actually require farms to make money. You can make ALOT of money and I mean a lot from simply building as many archers as you possibly can. Bear in mind for that each knight you have they convert 3-4 archers into their guards meaning they no longer participate in hunting. The vital thing about hunting is that you MUST clear trees to the left and right of your camp. This can go against the grain if you have a camp right next to your base but believe me the money you make is worth it. But make sure you get plenty of recruits before you cut the trees down next to the nearest camp as they tend to be far away on this level meaning you could run out of recruits if not careful.
The more trees you clear, the more space you have to hunt and the more hunters you have, the more money you get. Make defence an absolute priority at the same time as hunting, upgrade your base ASAP, make sure to have the maximum level of walls, and if you have unlocked the engineer, (little man with the red hat) keep upgrading your archer towers until you have the option to turn them into balistas, these are vital for defence and saved me from getting overrun in the early stages.
I also had unlocked the baker (little old lady) who can turn a max archer tower into an oven which you cook bread and attract recruits from anywhere on the map making that closest camp less important.
***As in my previous guide for escaping land 3 I am assuming if you have reached land 5 that you have a working knowledge of the game and know what I am talking about, happy to explain further in comments if required***
Ok so once your defences are decent and you have plenty of hunters, wait for the first blood moon and repel the attack, upgrade the archer statue prior if you can it's usually about day 5. Instantly after repelling that attack, advance with your Knights and take down the first and second portals. You will have to wait for them to return to base after the first and send them again but should have plenty of time as the first 2 days after the blood moon greed do not usually attack.
Once this is done you should have rafts of money gathered from hunters coming in, use it to build the ship. Wait for the second blood moon around day 10ish, then deploy the ship. Send your troops to take care of the last portal barring your escape and then be sure to send them again to escort the ship. The threat from this side is now eliminated so focus all efforts on defending the opposite side covering the escape. It takes around 10 days for the ship to reach the docks so you will have a fight on your hands as the successive blood moons cause much more aggressive greed attacks. Hopefully even if your defences get breached you should have allowed enough time to escape, I nearly got caught out with greed catching up to the ship. If this happens upgrade archer statue and hopefully the ship escort will finish them, mine did thankfully allowing me to escape and get this achievement.
I hope my guide makes sense, please comment me for feedback and I will amend if required.
EDIT: heraldic and crowned achievements have been fixed
2: ***TOP TIP*** when you initially use the 8 coins to start building the ship, there is a shorter side and a taller side. The taller side points in the direction of the dock so you will know which side it is on without having to explore
Good luck my friends

Great guide helped a lot but I would say that the bear is the best mount as you can actually do a lot of damage on greed if it gets close and you can also farm tons of coins from deer and rabbits.

A word of encouragement: I did all 5 islands in a row escaping before the deadline every time, using basically all vanilla units/buildings. The only thing I found was the black stallion mount, and map #2 had the archer statue.
My focus was making daily trips to hobo camps ensuring a steady supply of dudes, and, when counter attacked by big monsters, using the hero as a frontline tank. If that big boy punches your mainline just once, the fight is instantly over. Your hero will lose a ton of coins but you can pick some back up quickly while your arches pepper the enemies.
I used the bear for one quick achievement and it seemed very OP, so definitely buy it if it spawns.

The goal of this achievement is to complete your ship and leave the 5th island in 30 days or less. The 5th island is the long one at the bottom of your map and has the unicorn and knight hermit symbols on it. It's assumed that the reader understands the basic game mechanics, if this assumption is incorrect I'd recommend reading the online wiki here
Recommended Prerequisites:
I found it was very easy to pop this achievement after first unlocking the baker (on island 4) and the unicorn (island 5). You can unlock new mounts and hermits by purchasing the island's map and then escaping. Every island has multiple unlocks so you may need to escape several times before you can unlock these two specific prerequisites.
Preparation
Before doing your 30 day run take some time playing the earlier islands so that you can grab the unicorn and baker. You're going to be relying a lot on RNG to spawn these characters so it might take several island escapes before you get the chance to grab them. Be patient and eventually they'll spawn, in my case I had to replay 4 islands before I could get the unicorn to spawn. Once you have both characters ensure you have the maximum number of knights on the boat(3 at the time of this writing), fill your gold purse and escape the island.
Island 5 Days 1-3
The first thing I want to mention is abuse the unicorn's ability to give you free gold. These first few days are going to be expensive so take every opportunity to let your unicorn feed on grass for 3 free coins. I personally kept paying my baker to stay on my unicorn for the first 3 days so that there wouldn't be any risk of him getting stolen by the greed (I've seen him walk past my walls in the middle of the night and into the greed on several occasions O_O)
Once you land on island 5 immediately follow the ghost to your campfire and pay 3 gold at to start the kingdom. Hire the 2 vagrants and purchase 2 bows so that you can begin hunting (the archers accompanying your knights won't hunt and you will already have the builders who came with you from the previous island). Next you want to immediately build up your initial wall mounds to level 2. You should also have time to clear a couple trees on at least 1 side of your kingdom so that rabbits can spawn. Finally spend the rest of the day locating the masonry's lodge. If you are unlucky and it hasn't spawned in front of the first portals focus your first night on building up your coins using the unicorn and upgrading your camp.
If you did find the lodge drain your unicorn's stamina and keep collecting gold. Throughout the night build the left hand side rock into a archer tower and eventually into a bakery. The reason of building on the left instead of the right is that catapults won't sit behind your initial wall. This means you'll need to build a second wall further to the left anyway for the catapult to be safe from the greed. If you built an archer tower instead you'd be wasting your troops as they'd never contribute to defending the second wall due to distance. Catapults can move to the first wall on the right so building a bakery on this side takes away the ability for you to build an archer tower to compliment the catapult when defending. By the end of the first night you ideally want to have a bakery and a full row of fresh bread to attract vagrants.
During day 2 your goal is to either get to the lodge and then build the bakery or if this is completed already, further push your hunting areas by chopping down trees on either side of your kingdom. Depending on your gold reserves you should be able to purchase your boat's frame before it turns night. It's important to know which direction is port side so that you have a clear idea of which direction you need to push. As a side note keep hiring vagrants as they run to your bakery, you want as many archers as you can get.
Night 2 you want to focus on building up your gold (you'll be pretty much empty) and to begin maxing out the wall that isn't being attacked. By the end of the night your goal is to have 1 side's wall maxed out and the gold to max out the second side.
Day 3's primary goal is to get you camp upgraded and to start building catapults. Remember to keep purchasing builder hammers to replace the builders that will be assigned to catapults. Nothing ends a run faster than running out of builders to repair your walls.
In the event that you are fortunate enough to spawn a ballista hermit focus the rest of the day getting your front lines built up with ballista.
At this point you should have enough defense to survive the first couple blood moons. Day 4 onward you want to keep building defense and start pushing towards the dock by using your original knights to attack the port side portal. Make a priority on trying to find the ballista hermit if you don't have him and spend all excess gold on the boat. Keep your bakery well stocked with bread so that you can continue to increase your army size and don't forget to keep grabbing coins from your unicorn.
This will give you a very strong start and should give you the edge you need to push for a 30 day escape. I've followed the steps before posting this guide and was able to escape 3/3 times with my fastest escape being 18 days and the longest taking me 22. The key as always is to be prepared for the greed attacks.
General Tips
Ignore farmers. It costs 16 gold to fully upgrade a farm, buy a sickle and actually hire the vagrant. That gold would be better used building archers and letting them hunt rabbits and deer. Besides the unicorn will easily out earn multiple farmers.
When given the choice always build a wall beside a rock. Having the ability to build a ballista is critical in defeating the giant sized greeds and fliers without taking losses. Fewer losses obviously means spending fewer coins replacing units and equipment and more on the boat.
Each time you destroy a portal the blood moon retaliations gets harder. Only destroy the portals on the port side so that you limit the retaliation difficulty. If you need to grab a statue or lodge on the opposite side you're best option is to run past the portal during the day instead (keep gold in your purse just in case).
Plan your builder's actions out so that they don't get caught outside your walls at night. Common sense but it's still important to say it.
The fifth island is very large so you want to get your boat built as quickly as possible. It has taken me between 8-12 days to get the boat pushed to the port. Calculate the time it takes to push the boat to the port when planning out your 30 day run.
Never use the knight statue. It encourages your knights to attack the greed during the night and it will make them walk beyond the safety of your wall. Knights are expensive to recruit and the unnecessary expenses are easily avoided.

The fifth island is a bigger version of the previous island. There are still only three portals to destroy but it could take anywhere up to 10 days for your boat to reach the port (depending on which side of the map its on, how many trees you've chopped down etc.) so make sure to give yourself plenty of time to depart.

To make your life much easier, arrive on the island with full equipment:
- Bag full of money
- Unicorn
- Archers+Builders
- 2-3 knights

In addition to the tip above. It takes 7 days to push the ship to the pier.

The trophy also appears on the 10th, 15th, 20th day... this is the edge, although it’s written before it, so there’s one more day left) and it seems like if you cut down the forests on the ship’s path, they push the ship faster, the maximum number of workers that push the ship is 3
