How to unlock the Jailbreak achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement go to any town you wish. Save your game so you can just reload after getting it. Press RB and go into sneak mode and walk up behind someone and pickpocket them and have them call the guards. When they stop you select the option to go to jail. Once in jail you will have ONLY 1 lock pick to open the cell door. If you break your lock pick just reload your save and try again. Once you open the cell door the achievement will pop. pause and reload your game because if you dont the Guards will attack you and try to kill you.

Getting thrown in jail is relatively easy, just commit a crime in any populated town or village and get caught to have guards summoned to your location. Once the guards arrive they will give you 3 options, one being "Go To Jail". Select this option to be thrown in the slammer.

Now once you are there, breaking out is also (relatively) simple. I recommend making a save before you attempt this whole process. All your equipment will be taken from you in jail, except a single lockpick. Once control has been returned to your character, you can pick the lock on the door and you should get the trophy shortly after. Again, you only get 1 lockpick, so be sure to save again before attempting the pick in case you fail. I also recommend the save as if you are spotted breaking out of your cell, guards will attack you onsite and unless you are higher level they can put a hurtin' on you.

If you are caught committing a crime, you're given the choice to pay off the bounty with a fee (which you will use toward "Crime Doesn't Pay") or to serve time in jail. If you choose to not breakout while in jail you will lose XP; if you do break out you will gain value in bounty and risk being caught again. Gohart is a great place to do this. You can also make a save to commit crimes and get the achievement before reverting back to your pious and righteous save when you are done if you so choose.

Go to any town or village with guards. Preferably the very first town, Gorhart. You can commit any crime you like, however, it's easier if you pickpocket someone. Press :r2: to go into stealth mode. Walk up behind someone and pickpocket them. Make sure people notice you. Wait for a guard to arrive and talk to you. Choose to Go to jail. Once thrown in jail, save the game because you only get 1 try. Walk up to the gate in front of you and lock pick it. It’s an easy lock but you’ve only got 1 lock pick. You don’t actually have to escape prison, you only have to lock pick the door. If you fail, reload the save and try again.

The easiest way: when you are sitting in a cell, you need to shoot at the guard with magic (for example, lightning); when he runs up to the cell, you need to sit down and steal the key to the grill from him and open it! 8)

When caught stealing, in dialogue with the guard you need to choose “go to prison.” In the prison, open the cell door and get the trophy.

Before going to prison, be sure to improve your lockpicking skills. You will enter the cell naked and with one ordinary master key.

Ever since The elders scrolls blivion wondered where GG hides this one master key.
