How to unlock the Hair Cutter achievement in Knights Contract - Definitive Guide
The best strategy for this boss is to be extremely aggressive. Unlike some of the other bosses in this game Rapunzel is fairly easy (with a few annoyances).
As soon as the fight starts run up to Rapunzel and cast the Enoch Hammer spell (Level 2 is recommended), this will knock her down for a few seconds leaving her wide open to your attacks. If you hit her with a combo that contains a heavy attack, this will stun her giving you even more time. If you constantly do this you will be able to take a significant amount of damage off of her before she even gets a chance to use her more annoying attacks.
Speaking of annoying attacks, Rapunzel has three that she will use when she climbs the walls.
The first attack involves her launching strands of hair at you, this is fairly easy to dodge, all you need to do is roll around until she is done. If you do get caught then just mash the button that is displayed (I've only encountered either X, B or waggling LS).
The second and third attacks involve Rapunzel singing a song and sending a small group of spiders at you. The first song will reverse all of your movement controls (e.g. up is down) and you won't be able to lock on to enemies. This is by far the most annoying because if Gretchen gets caught it can sometimes be hard to get back to her. The second song will disable your magic, which isn't so bad, just be careful with Gretchen.
In both cases Rapunzel will not stop singing until you kill of the spiders she sends at you. Once she does stop, you will have an opportunity to throw your Maar's Lance spell at her, which will do a significant amount of damage.
*Note* Rapunzel can be attacked and damaged while she is singing but it is recommended that you just kill all of her spiders and wait until she comes down. *Note*
With all of the above in mind, once Rapunzel's health is reduced to zero her QTE sequence is: B, X, Left Stick Right, RB, Y.
Hopefully this helps and have fun!!

+1 for the QTE sequence again

This is a tip for the rather difficult QTEs wich have a small time window to press the appropriate button.
First of all the Guide button is needed because you can't interrupt the QTEs with a regular press on the Start button.
Then you should have a list of the button presses for the QTEs for the boss you are fighting for.
Then when the QTE sequence starts, hit the Guide button and memorize the first button you need to press. Hit the Guide button again and press Start to continue the sequence, wait for the prompt and hit the appropriated button. Now press the Guide button again and memorize the next button prompt needed. Hit Guide again and Start to continue the sequence and so on. This makes the QTEs an absolute breeze which takes much of the difficulty away.
